Wanda, I took it that you just eat the mustard! Have heard of mixing it in water for something and drinking, but don't know what that was for! Have heard of using a mustard plaster for chest colds, but don't know how---maybe just rub it on and cover with a cloth like Vicks! (Oh what a terrible word now!)

So excited to rejoin with friends after running errands.
Hedgie Have you seen the dreamy lighthouse postage stamps?
My personal favorites though are the Purple Heart, and I also like to mix the 28-cent Polar Bear with the 17-cent Ram, only goes a penny over the requirement ☺
Wow three typos already on my past posts...hope no one notices. Guess I better unpack my purchases... Be back in a little while, also have to get some Buttermilk ☺
I hate leg cramps. Have heard that they are often caused by a lack of potassium and that bananas are a good source of potassium. I seem to recall a doctor suggesting vitamins.
Had a really long night at the emergency room. My son was afraid he might be having a heart attack, so we called 911 and had an ambulance ride to the hospital. He is home now--the problem is work-related stress. He needs a new job, so we are going to work on a resume for him. Doctor says no work until 8/17, so that gives us a little bit of time.
He said that he really needed someone to tell him that he was not having a heart attack. I know that feeling.
Shirley, glad it wasn't a heart attack. I think all of us over 40, think of a heart attack when we get a pain or twinge in the chest. TO GO TO ER OR NOT???
Margy, I guess I might have been purring if I had spent the night in my own bed. Thanks for the thought.
It was a very long night. I did call Kathryn to join us there and provide a ride home. She eventually had to go get Hunter so that her hubby could go to work, so we had quite a contingent at the hospital. It is so good to have family nearby.
Shirley ! So comforting that you could be with your son through this crisis.... 8/17 - that's only a couple of days of rest...does he work week-ends ?
Thanks for checking in, and yes, ER or doctor is a very good idea if there is any question...because if it IS - then early treatment is soooo important.
Nice little poem, Dana... and good to hear from you and hear the latest on Ed.... just hope the news gets better each day...and that he, and you, feel better each day too.
First time I ever had Acid Reflux...I was really getting nervous, then all the symptoms started to make sense and I settled down. That was 10 years ago.
I have this sneakin' feeling Shirley that if is around you, he will be at ease and in comfort... you sure do that for us ! And you add some humor to go with it! Love ya' !
Sorry Shirley I must have read right over something. Prayers for you and your son. Praying all is ok. Yes you are a joy on here with the others than have come in new. Well you all are not newbies anymore ( :
Went through the blog fast. Very interesting comments. Have to get ready to head to Elvis on the Square. Afterwards we are bringing the boys home with us. Michael, Ashley, and Zach will be there as well. Should be loads of fun.
Enjoyed Hawaii and loved our Alaska cruise, but Italy....oh, Wanda hope you get there. It is our favorite and we want to go back! Check ouT Untours on the internet. It is fantastic!!!! Would recommend it to all.
Well my eagle friends. I will check back in later tonight or tomorrow am. Going to Virginia (way up) to an Uncle's 80th birthday party. later hold down the fort
Good Afternoon, Eagle Lovers! Anybody here? Hubby went to pay the house payment, so I have a minute or so to chat. Woke up really early today (2:30am--my usual wake-up time on weekdays). Guess I forgot it's Saturday. Don't know quite what got into me, but got up and started cleaning the kitchen! Hasn't been cleaned like THAT since don't know when. Guess I got a really good night's sleep or something. Haven't had time to catch up on the blog, so will do that now. Back in a bit.
Shirley, don't know if you're there right now; sounded like you were going out for a bit, but whoa! That must have been quite a scare for you and your son! Glad he's OK. I know what a wreck a job can make you--my last one nearly ruined my health! Stress is an awful thing. Hope he's feeling better now, and prayers are being said for BOTH of you, AND for George, who I hope is adjusting well. Hey, maybe you should have your son hang out with George on your bed. That'll have him purring in no time! (I mean your son, although George might purr too, with all the attention!)
Nice little poem, Dana! Have a safe trip---whereabouts in VA?? If Norma was serious about lunch, we'll have to figure that out.
Shirley, glad that Wills' pain was not his heart. Anxiety stimulates gastric symptoms more often than not. He's young....but it's a fact that more and more younger men are having heart attacks, so most definitely better safe than sorry! Does he live at home? Bet you'll really sleep good tonight!
Margy, just WHAT does Wanda know about you and gin???? Is there a story there???? LOL!!!
I get some awful acid reflux at times, but it's mostly side effects of the meds I'm taking. Popping some Maalox tablets seems to do the trick.
About 30 years ago I suddenly developed asthma for the first time in my life. One night I had such an asthma attack I was scared it was a heart attack, but doctor assured me it WAS asthma. After a couple of years, quit having problems with it, and have been OK since. Just have hay fever, which I think started when I was 4 and had my tonsils & adenoids out. Claritin seems to do the trick. Good thing you guys went to the ER, though. Never hurts if in any doubt, and could possibly save your life!
Getting ready for Church but had to say Shirley hope your son is feeling better. Did they say that he needed more test? A month after my mom died I had an irregular EKG. Went to Hopkins and was told my heart was upside down. Family doctor said that the other doctor was kidding. That was 24 years ago and I am still here.
Shirley, if your son is supposed to take baby aspirin and is having acid reflux, there is a coated version of 81 mg. aspirin that's available that's a wannabe Ecotrin. It saves your stomach, and dissolves in your intestine instead. Helps me; I'm extremely sensitive to all NSAIDs and to aspirin, and Dr. makes me take baby aspirin, so I go for the coated variety. Helps me some.
I thought I'd had about every nasty, old time medicine they had, but I was spared mustard.
According to some sites on the page I posted, it has been used medicinally and in cookery for thousands of years by the Chinese and the Greeks, among others.
You know, it's no surprise that Will was having the anxiety symptoms he was, considering all that's been going on with the economy, and everything else lately. Just have to try to take everything one day at a time and hope and pray for the best!
With all this talk of mustard, I need to ask--does it matter what kind of mustard? I like Dijon the best, and really don't care much for the standard yellow mustard. What type is recommended, or doesn't it matter?
Had to wait to jump on 'till the gin and raisins wore off!
Steve, send your daughter to George Washington and I'll take care of her. I can be your confidential informant.
Shirley, relieved to know Will's heart was not the culprit. Stress is sooooooo very bad for us. Glad family was there to support you both. Had a similar experience about 25 years ago when I thought I was in cardiac arrest but turned out to be stress.
Dana, please enjoy the birthday party and hope Ed will be going with you.
Lolly, enjoy Elvis on the Square and having the family with you.
Andrea, funny thing because when I wake up really early I never feel the need to clean anything! Course, I usually don't feel like cleaning anything, anyway.
Don't know about mustard for leg cramps but have had several in the past two weeks. Scary because the surgeons tell me that is an indication of increasingly serious artery disease. I still just can't wrap my mind and emotions around having leg bypass surgery because the probability of amputation is high and terrifying.
Okay, soon down to the kitchen. Trying a new pasta recipe tonight. I'll let you all know if it's tasty.
Everything we wanted to know about mustard! Thanks, Jim!! Who would have thought that a northern country (canada) would be the major produces! Me, I love it all---yellow, dijon, the hot asian ones...yummmmm! Deos anyone remember Mustarole----it came in a white jar, but don.t remember what color the ointment/cream was---it was a chest rub!
Hi, I'm back. Brought Will his pills and some of his favorite foods, but he says his friends have asked him to join them for dinner and a movie, which is just fine for a young single guy.
George is pleased because I fed him. Lounging in the middle of the room so he won't miss anything.
I do not like beer, but I like beer mustard. Can't imagine drinking mustard mixed with water.
I could offer Steve's daughter SAT prep classes in English. I always enjoy doing that.
LMBO, Judie:) I think I will try my receipe for Gin and raisins. Might not help with leg cramps (don't have any), but it sure would lift your SPIRITS! Oldest grandson called raisins "Jimmies" when he was a toddler...have no idea why:)
Guess everyone is napping or out and about! I've been watching some tear-jerkers on Lifetime...boo hoo. One of my favorite movies is coming on at 8 on TCM---An Affair To Remember---the original! Have seen it a hundred times, and have it on tape, but know that I will watch it again anyway!!
I am home and just about caught up. I called for an Osprey update to let you all know that not one bird decided to fly today, not even Gabby. We are having big thunderstorms, so being the smart birds they are, they are all still on the tower. I may get to see Gabby take off tomorrow!
Didn't mean to be mysterious or private about what a certain spirited beverage does to me earlier on the posts... had joked with Wanda one time after all the talk about G&T's - and I told her they can make me act funny in a silly way. Now, Molsons and Heinekin might be nice, but American Brewed Miller's is what I will commit to when I start working on any future osteoporosis threats ☺
Evening Everyone! Got 2 days worth of everything to read!Busy at work and people on 'puters at both places, so couldn't even get a glimpse. No ospreys on the cam nest at Park, but did see one on the new nest.Looked like an adult, tho---didn't use binocs. Sjirley did read far enough to see your son took ill. Glad it was not a med. emergency.
Deb, I agree that those are smart osprey!! Is the weather prediction for tomorrow good? Zucchini bread.....does anyone make banana bread? I DON'T, but daughter wants to know if she can freeze bananas for later use for it, and if so, how to freeze--mashed?? whole??
Hedgie... I still make banana bread...and yes, I have frozen the bananas. I peel them, and freeze them in ziploc baggies or maybe two... thaw and mash 'em up and they have been okay...
Lynn, OMG, An Affair to Remember!Biggest tearjerker around!I love it! Deb, Glad to hear Gabby & pal will be flying off! Janie had Gabby for a year, right? ("& they're not good in captivity" DUH)
Thanks, Margy, I'll call her and tell her. BTW...the future is NOW....better to prevent than try to mend...and you have small bones. Don't think you could drink enough buttermilk to do the trick! GULP!
Getting thirsty-----water?--I like the raisin recipe. If I get leg cramps, I drink more OJ,have a tylenol & if still bad, a muscle relaxant I got for hip that acts up when I walk to far----Like Climbing Acropolis!!
No sunshine here, Margy, we have had heavy clouds all day between storms.
Yes, Loretta, Janie kept Gabby all winter, lots of work and expense as they don't tolerate cold well. Osprey are very hard to over-winter in a cold climate, they need a heated enclosure. Very few if any Osprey are kept as Ed birds in the US. Janie has one now that she brought with her that can't fly, she will attempt to train as an Ed bird, but she is worried about succeeding. Time will tell.
Speaking of nostalgia...were we?...read where Kodachrome film will no longer be developed. Only one place doing it now (I think they said in Kansas) and they are stopping, too.
Janie sounds like the best person for the Ospreys Deb...with you as one of her assistants.
Lynn, the VCR tape I bought is Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr...
Oh well, back to the stockpile of unworn clothes...and ones that I am "SURE" I will find a use for "One Day." Wish I could sew, some of these I keep for the fabric/material/design only !
Warren Beatty and Annette Benning did a nice job with the movie too ♥♥
Can't throw away anything of the color yellow, (my favorite color) and I have a Pile of Red in my closet...been stockpiling for Fridays for a long time.
But I am heaving a few things out the door, giveaways.
Got to run to the store for a few things.
Thinking of everyone we haven't seen today or for awhile....
Off to the movie---Fubby relinquished the TV! Thx Deb. I didn't even think about O's having to be outdoors, but I guess so. They probably need so much room. Think I'm gonna stop reading those O forums-----some people are so bent out of shape, it can be severely depressing :>( Should just hope for the best and wish them Godspeed! Amen And that's my sermon for this weekend! (no one here needs it) I really am going now to look for Cary Grant!
Hey Wanda, anytime Jimmies, aka raisins, can lift one's "spirits" I say go for it.
Shirley, tell Will to have a nice evening and you and George curl up with some gin & raisins for a nice cat nap.'
Hi Deb, so glad the ospreys are smart and decided to wait out the storm. Enjoy your day off.
An affair to remember. An affair to remember? Can someone remind me what that is? I think I identify more with the grandmother these days. Maybe some more raisins will jog my memory.
Let's hope for the successful training of Gabby and successful flight of all the other osprey.
No more kodachrome? The world is moving too fast for me. I'm taking my gin & raisins with me for an eagle nap.
Good evening everyone. Just got done filling the cupboards and going back to an earlier forum regarding leg cramps, my Jim suffers from them terribly and at his last check-up the doctor recommended he buy and use "Slow-Mag" which he did and his suffering has lessened. It's a magnesium supplement and if it helps him, so be it! Maybe you can add that to your list of remedies. I still like the one for brittle bones - beer. Give me a Guiness! Did anyone receive the joke/picture I sent by email? I wonder if there was a problem with my window email provider. Be back later...
I have been looking in from time to time. I tried to post awhile ago, but then I realized I was on the wrong day, so I deleted the message.
I am still tired, although I slept quite a bit today.
In answer to a previous question, yes, Will lives with me.
An Affair to Remember--I believe Sleepless in Seattle was based on that same story somewhat.
Judie, it is the movie about the couple who plans to meet at the Empire State Building but she does not make it because she is hit by a vehicle, I believe.
P.S. Hubby just reminded me of a remedy a fellow employee uses - 1 tablespoon of baking soda when you get an attack. Jim's never tried that, but this guy swears by it. di
I would return to Alaska in a heartbeat. There was discussion here about going to Alaska and Hawaii. Alaska was so beautiful, not many people and wide open spaces. Just my kind of place.
Diann - the Maxine pics didn't come through on the email. I was hoping someone with Comcast.net would respond about attachments. I have hotmail.com and it is simple to attach things but maybe different procedure.
I decided to make the zucchini bread tonight. Grated the zucchini, started getting ingredients lined up and, oops, not enough oil. So after a run to the store tomorrow, I will be ready to go. I am off the bed to read and relax.
The only thing I would want to see in Alaska in the winter would be the Eagles on the Chilkat River and the Northern Lights. I don't think I could live with little sun for so long!
Ah, yes, the Northern Lights! I forgot about those beauties...I would LOVE to see those. Guess I'd have to go to Alaska to see them. Saw them here once, many moons ago. Gene and I were out on a date and saw them...I had never heard of Northern Lights and thought it meant the world was coming to an end! Truly, I did....wanted to go home and be with my Mother. Of course, they were nothing like they are in Alaska, but beautiful, nonetheless.
Oh, that's wonderful Mema Jo ! They looked like little gorillas to me when I first opened it
Hedgie The sound of the motorcycles is resonating throughtout the town...and many are on all the roads I was just on. Wish I could have brought James down to see this!
Wanda - you have the greatest tales to tell about so many things! I saw them once at the VA Center when I was about 6 - and a few years ago there were some Red Ones around here....
I do remember Affair to Remember, now. Can't remember how it ended. The love story that I was thinking of that was true, was the story of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Don't remember who was in it, but do remember it was a tear jerker and enjoyable.
Hi Diann, I didn't have an attachment to open and there was no actual picture visible.
Oops, glad I misread -- thought Jim's doctor wanted him to buy a slow nag but now see mag(nesium). No telling how much a slow nag would cost in co-payment.
No, no. I know about the movie. I just can't remember what it was like to have an affair to remember.
Have Verizon not comcast. Sorry.
Thank you, Jo.
Good night, Deb.
Turning out my light now. Leaving the night light on for others.
I had put a couple of pictures on my blog of the northern lights we had in Virginia several years ago. That was a red glow in the sky. (The oldest pictues on the blog.)
The ones I saw in New York were green and looked like curtains on the horizon at the northern end of the lake. We could go out on the dock or onto an island in the middle of the lake to get a good view.
Diann, when did you send joke? I hadn't received anythimg from you whenI checked late this am, but haven't been back to momsters mail since! I'll go check now.
Guess it ended at 10, cause there's ballroom dancing 10-11! Goodnight Wanda (elevate those legs higher than your heart!) and Jo! ZHope you have a good sleep.
Good morning. I might have slept even longer, but George was ready for breakfast. Will need to use today to get ready for a full week at work. Students don't come until Monday of next week, though.
Have been seeing chickadees around my feeder area.
GOOD MORNIN'--CONGRATS!--SHIRLEY--You are our #1 'EAGLE MOM' today & every day!!----MORNIN'---SHIRLEY--& MITS!!---Wishing all a GLORIOUS day today!----SUN SHINING & BLUE SKIES---What more would one want!-----JUST ONE MORE LOOK AT 'OUR BABY'!!!
Morning all. It is going to be a beautiful day here in western PA. Summer is finally here, just in time for school to start again.
I'll mention the magnesium supplement to my neighbor who suffers from terrible leg cramps. She is diabetic, and also takes meds that may contribute to them.
I'm with Deb on Alaska. Three years ago I was taking early retirement so I could move there, but another plan was in the works for me. BLT live in Anchorage with their parents(my DD &SIL) and I have visited a couple of times. I hope to live there someday if only until my bones rebel at the cold.
I am excited that we will be finally getting high speed internet this week. The local cable company has a deal for $99 a month for cable TV, phone, and internet. I'll be able to stay online and watch cams and all that stuff.........BBL

Jim
You could probably substitute rum or brandy for the gin and get a bit more flavor.
I bet if you ate the raisins with a sliced banana fairly often, you wouldn't be worried about cramps for a good, long time.

My personal favorites though are the Purple Heart, and I also like to mix the 28-cent Polar Bear with the 17-cent Ram, only goes a penny over the requirement ☺
Wanda If you supply the concoction and a dreamy date, I'll be right over, leg cramps or No!
Must love children, birds, wildlowers and craziness.
Wow three typos already on my past posts...hope no one notices.
Guess I better unpack my purchases...
Be back in a little while, also have to get some Buttermilk ☺
Good afternoon.
Hedgie when are we meeting Norma in Winchester for Lunch?
Tee hee all these mixtures with the raisins....I'm getting tipsy.
To The Sky, To The Clouds
Nestling in a tree
He's Free He's Free
Gabby fly's with ease
Prayers for you guys!
Nice little poem, Dana...
and good to hear from you and hear the latest on Ed....
just hope the news gets better each day...and that he, and you, feel better each day too.
But Will is only 29, so I thought it was unlikely, but one can never be sure.
By the way, no one from the Southern Delegation has checked in with us yet...maybe they are all out flying with ease...
First time I ever had Acid Reflux...I was really getting nervous, then all the symptoms started to make sense and I settled down. That was 10 years ago.
Does not work on Sundays. I am hoping he will be okay with a few days off.
They gave him something for acid reflux and a couple of baby aspirin.
I have this sneakin' feeling Shirley that if is around you, he will be at ease and in comfort...
you sure do that for us !
And you add some humor to go with it!
Love ya' !
Thanks for the prayers. They are appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words Margy.
Nice poem, Dana.
Sorry Shirley I must have read right over something. Prayers for you and your son. Praying all is ok. Yes you are a joy on here with the others than have come in new. Well you all are not newbies anymore ( :
Thanks for the kind words, Dana.
Going to disappear for a little while, this place is a mess!
And I need a little nap to recharge my jets.
TTFN xo ☺
I guess Steve's daughter is entering her senior year of high school. That is such an exciting time.
Must go!
Will have pics later of "Elvis."
Going to make myself presentable and get Will's prescription filled.
Well my eagle friends. I will check back in later tonight or tomorrow am. Going to Virginia (way up) to an Uncle's 80th birthday party. later hold down the fort
WOW! Dana, glad you are getting around and enjoying yourself for a change. Is Ed able to go?
Enjoy your day:)
Enjoy your family, Lolly and I think you should throw a dollar at ELVIS;) TEE HEE
I'm outta here, too. Planting a Fall crop of beans.
Lynn - wasn't mustard in water drank in order to empty your stomach contents? Never had to do it but just remember something about that.
I want my mustard on a hot dog!
LOL!!!
I have my 3:00 cup of coffee
Then I will get ready for Mass at five
I tried to get a snapshot for a postcard but Bai just lowered her head
and covered the cub
Mustard might do stuff you don't want
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
You know, it's no surprise that Will was having the anxiety symptoms he was, considering all that's been going on with the economy, and everything else lately. Just have to try to take everything one day at a time and hope and pray for the best!
With all this talk of mustard, I need to ask--does it matter what kind of mustard? I like Dijon the best, and really don't care much for the standard yellow mustard. What type is recommended, or doesn't it matter?
Getting ready to sign off for a wile
Shirley I really hope you have hit the nail on the head about the 'stress'!
It can do it to you!
Bai would not oblige me with a good photo shot - so I'll try later. Love the one Lolly has!
Jim - Remember
Too Old To Cut The Mustard lol
Guess I better read up on "the advantages of mustard use'
Thanks for the link
Hey, think I'll have a hot dog with mustard for lunch, with a gin-soaked raisin or two or three for dessert! That should cover the situation.LOL
Whoops I came back!
Andrea - if they have been using mustard since the beginning of the Gods, Dijon is to new to be of any value! Good ol' standard yellow mustard
LOL
See you all later........
Good afternoon, everyone.
Cheers,
Judie
Everything we wanted to know about mustard! Thanks, Jim!! Who would have thought that a northern country (canada) would be the major produces!
Me, I love it all---yellow, dijon, the hot asian ones...yummmmm!
Deos anyone remember Mustarole----it came in a white jar, but don.t remember what color the ointment/cream was---it was a chest rub!
I remember musterole! Would rather have a hot dog with mustard!
Shirley, how's George?
Okay, now I really am off to the kitchen. Getting hungry since the raisins wore off.
Judie
Hi, I'm back. Brought Will his pills and some of his favorite foods, but he says his friends have asked him to join them for dinner and a movie, which is just fine for a young single guy.
George is pleased because I fed him. Lounging in the middle of the room so he won't miss anything.
I do not like beer, but I like beer mustard. Can't imagine drinking mustard mixed with water.
I could offer Steve's daughter SAT prep classes in English. I always enjoy doing that.
I am still tired. I probably should not take a nap now, but I think I am going to anyway.
BBL
Thanks for all of the kind words and prayers. You all are a blessing.
LMBO, Judie:)
I think I will try my receipe for Gin and raisins.
Sounds like 'pretty intelligent birds'
Welcome Home after Saturday duty Deb
Your one-day week-end is Here !
I agree with Jo, sounds like some wise birds....
Enjoy your evening !
I am debating on making zucchini bread tonight or tomorrow. Life is full of minor decisions, Ha!
And I am trying to clean out a closet...talk about decisions!
Woof!
Enjoy your movie, Hedgie.... funny I just grabbed up that video the other night at GoodWill ! ♥ ♥
Didn't mean to be mysterious or private about what a certain spirited beverage does to me earlier on the posts...
had joked with Wanda one time after all the talk about G&T's -
and I told her they can make me act funny in a silly way.
Now, Molsons and Heinekin might be nice, but American Brewed Miller's is what I will commit to when I start working on any future osteoporosis threats ☺
But the Buttermilk might work just as well ☺
Evening Everyone!
I DON'T, but daughter wants to know if she can freeze bananas for later use for it, and if so, how to freeze--mashed?? whole??
Enjoy your extra hour of sunshine where you are Deb
Over here in West Virginia we are seeing the signs of sunset
Back to work for me....TTFN xo
Hedgie...
I still make banana bread...and yes, I have frozen the bananas.
I peel them, and freeze them in ziploc baggies or maybe two...
thaw and mash 'em up and they have been okay...
Glad you are Free as a Bird on a Saturday night now, too, Loretta
PS Lynn
I freeze them at the exact maturation stage as I would use them if I was going to bake now.
I was wrong...this isn't the ORIGINAL version w/ Irene Dunn....it's the one w/ Deborah Kerr and Gary Grant!
Love Cathleen Nesbit as the grandmother in it.
Oh well, back to the stockpile of unworn clothes...and ones that I am "SURE" I will find a use for "One Day."
Wish I could sew, some of these I keep for the fabric/material/design only !
Lynn, if I'm not mistaken, that is a true story.
What is, Wanda? An Affair to Remember?? Never heard that!
Thinking of everyone we haven't seen today or for awhile....
xoxo TTFN
SORRY...WRONG MOVIE.
Off to the movie---Fubby relinquished the TV!
Thx Deb. I didn't even think about O's having to be outdoors, but I guess so. They probably need so much room. Think I'm gonna stop reading those O forums-----some people are so bent out of shape, it can be severely depressing :>(
Should just hope for the best and wish them Godspeed! Amen
And that's my sermon for this weekend! (no one here needs it)
I really am going now to look for Cary Grant!
Later,
Judie
I finally was successful in tracking down a real live eaglet in a nest
Link to Haines Alaska Nest Cam
Judie, love your perspective!!
Hello all,
I have been looking in from time to time.
Jim's never tried that, but this guy swears by it.
di
Don't think taking a tablespoon of baking soda is good for you.
I mentioned that my father thought it was good for ulcers on your tongue, and a doctor told me no, and that it will upset your system.
Thanks, Jo, for the new Eagle cam!
I would return to Alaska in a heartbeat. There was discussion here about going to Alaska and Hawaii. Alaska was so beautiful, not many people and wide open spaces. Just my kind of place.
Seems to be the only active one out there. Lake WA still visit a little but I can't get the cam up/running.
I wonder how high the shade tree is in our nest?
I think I would like Alaska in the summertime. I would not care as much for it in the winter.
Good night everyone!
The only thing I would want to see in Alaska in the winter would be the Eagles on the Chilkat River and the Northern Lights. I don't think I could live with little sun for so long!
I got a nice bunch of Maxine cartoons . . . just one of them did not come through. I don't think I still have them, though. They were really funny.
I spend a summer on Lake George in New York when I was in college. We saw the northern lights every night in the summer.
Yes, Deb, I would not like the darkness and I am not really fond of cold weather.
My sister went to Alaska last year, dark around 11 pm and light again around 3 - mroe time to watch wildlife !
Thanks for the Alaska Eagle link, Jo, going there next.
I cannot get LW to open, and I guess the Osprey cam has been pretty lousy for a long time. And whatever happened to the Herons?
Deb's House probably smells delicious right about now.
Right about "Affair to Remember", Shirley
Diann...
I did not get your picture attachment either, but Thanks for Trying!
Time for some chow....back in a little while.
xo
Hi Diann, I didn't have an attachment to open and there was no actual picture visible.
Oops, glad I misread -- thought Jim's doctor wanted him to buy a slow nag but now see mag(nesium). No telling how much a slow nag would cost in co-payment.
No, no. I know about the movie. I just can't remember what it was like to have an affair to remember.
Have Verizon not comcast. Sorry.
Thank you, Jo.
Good night, Deb.
Turning out my light now. Leaving the night light on for others.
Goodnight everyone.
Judie
Hvae a PBS Show on the Supremes on....interesting to watch how their outfits, hairdo, and make-up changes over the years.
Managed to burn popcorn while watching movie.....stinky house! Candles aren't helping.
LMBO again, Judie!
Your sense of humor is priceless:)
Lynn, try boiling som Jimmies and Gin;)
Having a hard time getting Yahoo to load......
I have Comcast. Maybe that is why I got the pictures. I haven't done a lot of e-mailing pictures, so I don't know if I could help.
Then, drink it and you won't care about the smell:)
I'd like to see the Eagles at Dutch Harbor, and the glaciers and some polar bears..........then go to Hawaii!
Maybe if Diann could re-send it . . .
Margy, can't find the Supremes----what channel do you have? First date (blind) w/ ex was to see them at The Shoreham!
I am going to have to check back tomorrow. I am so tired I am having trouble concentrating. Good night. God bless.
Nope, Diann---pics didn't come through!! (email did, tho')
Goodnight, Shirley. Rest well!
Good night Shirley...I'm not far behind you. Too much time in the sun today...tires me outtttttttt!
Feet are swollen...look like two overgrown squash:) Took a warm bath, I guess I should have taken a cold one.
Good Night my Buddies! Glad you had an enjoyable evening on here. May all of you have a peaceful sleep!
Prayers for all being offered.
I will be going to Market - need more fresh flowers, corn, beans, potatoes and peaches and lopes!
(((hugs))) ♥
JO...be careful of the yellow jackets around the fruit at the market. They can be a real nuisance this time of the year!
Lynn, it was the frequent re-run of the MoTown era....was on WETA 26 -
Good Night Special People...
but I am still up and about
I'm calling it a night, too.
Have a peaceful and blessed Sunday.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Guess it ended at 10, cause there's ballroom dancing 10-11!
Goodnight Wanda (elevate those legs higher than your heart!) and Jo! ZHope you have a good sleep.
Well, fowl friends, I am heading for the tub with a book. See you all tomorrow. Blessings and peace.
Either the camouflage is perfect, or Koo is out of the nest at Finney's -
too dark/shadowy to tell for sure
And the bird at Finland is really looking funny/weird, just standing around.
Now there is a chick at Finney's -
still can't tell if Koo is scrunched down in the nest or not...
wish someone else could help me see
the chick which arrived is now gone, and it was not Koo
Home from Elvis on the Square. Very successful night. It is late, I am going to bed. Have posted pics on Facebook, will put some on here tomorrow.
Nite all!
Sweet dreams!
Go to bed Candy!!!☺
Well I missed seeing the chick arrive at Finney's with a fish, and I think Koo is there now also.
Well Hi Lolly....
uh, where is Candy? Did I miss her or is she on Facebook with you...?
xoxo
does not exactly look like the food is being shared with Koo...
Finney chick left with its food, leaving Koo behind empty-handed :(
I'm checking into the Pillows now, Good Night....
Good morning. I might have slept even longer, but George was ready for breakfast. Will need to use today to get ready for a full week at work. Students don't come until Monday of next week, though.
Have been seeing chickadees around my feeder area.
good morning everyone, have a blessed Sunday
Morning, Mits.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!---I promised myself that I would NOT check in on KOO!---But I did---& she is SO ALL ALONE......
I found the Maxine cartoons and tried to forward them, but it does not look like that worked.
Norma, I keep checking, too.
BWO UDATE
