Thanks Steve, I must be the only one on here right now. I'll try to reach the others. I surely love this site and have gotten addicted to birds again. Love, Gwen

Hi Stronghunter, saw you on the other page. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and say how much I have been enjoying all of your pictures, especially those of LIb and Belle at the nest. I always seem to miss them early in the morning. I'm going to hear the Spinners tonight while Jim and my son and friends go to the Panther game in Charlotte, N.C. Talk to you later.

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Steve. I told the others to come over.

Hi Gwen.

We had a good dinner at Red Lobster. Hunter was in a mood. Told he could pick the restaurant, he didn't want to, but did not like any place we suggested. We picked Red Lobster. Said he did not want sea food and did not want to eat anything at a seafood restaurant. Said Mom had said he could pick, etc., etc., so now he wanted to pick when we got to Red Lobster parking lot.

Kathryn decided Hunter needs to go home and rest for awhile this afternoon. Yep. Guess the football game wore him out.

Andy, I like the idea of a motion-detector light and eye-scan lock. Why not? And a limo to bring us in! Maybe that's not green, but not a problem since it's in cyberspace anyhow.

stronghunter said...

Gwen, I see you are not too far from Charlotte. I was born in Charlotte. My parents are buried in Huntersville, just a bit north of there.

gwen of s.c. said...

Can't believe you were born in Charlotte, Shirley. We have been in Lancaster since 1976 and have enjoyed it. I grew up in Myrtle Beach so claim that to be home. Have fun the rest of the weekend, I love the Red Lobster, haven't been there in a long time. Bye

stronghunter said...

My Aunt and Uncle lived in Myrtle Beach. We went there all the time.

gwen of s.c. said...

What were their names? Maybe we knew of them. I graduated from high school in 1964, but Mama and Daddy lived there until 1993. It's a small world.

stronghunter said...

Ernest and Sue Hunter. They owned the Castaways Court.

Their names don't sound familiar, but we were poor! And they may have been younger. Talk later. Love, Gwen

Almost missed you all
Thanks Shirley and Thanks for the fresh new thread, Steve.
Hi & Bye Shirley and Gwen.....
Getting ready to head out the door to Mass & then up over the mountain to daughter's for dinner.

I'll check in upon my return.....

stronghunter said...

My aunt and uncle would have been older than you are, Gwen. I graduated from High School in 1960. You are younger than I am, and this was my fathers brother. I do not remember the years the Castaways was there, but it was probably in the late 60's through the 80's or later. They were there before that, even. I worked down there in the late 50's for a summer.

Mema Jo so glad drs. appt. was good.

Lynn prayers for sister and her BIL.

Hope all is well with Judie and Frank in my prayers. Maybe I haven't read up to that comment yet.

Deb sorry such a terrible schedule :( Keep us informed about Gabby please.

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY GENE!!

Piece of apple in trap for groudhog.

On by the way can't remember who was it that was having exterminator and what did he find???

hedgie said...

Hi, Dana!! Glad you are able to read a bit.
Andrea was waiting for exterminator for dead animal smell in attic....turned out to be 2 dead rats in a recessed area over her living room chair! Yuck!! A lot of rat trouble in her area from displacement someplace else.

hedgie said...

Somebody needs to see that Robert Byrd gets a haircut....is he trying to look like a mountain man??? Did you know that the only property he has ever owned in WV was the weekend house he had here at The Woods Resort (since sold)? Don't know how he is going to hold up emotionally for this.

Costume Lady said...

HEY, DANA...how's it feel to have both of those 'baby blues' DONE!?
Any problems with this one?

Costume Lady said...

I didn't see him, Lynn. Saw John D. and he always looks neat. He used to be quite a handsome figure of a man. So tall and eloquent. When Gene was ER of the Elks, we ran into him often as we traveled throughout the state.

Costume Lady said...

I took the time to listen to Ted, Jr. and Patrick...made me cry like a fool! He must have been an awesome DAD.

Costume Lady said...

You would think that the Well-to-Do politicians wouldn't have time for their families, but apparently the Kennedy's are close knit and have a great time when they get together.

Costume Lady said...

Supper time here. Stuffed peppers from my garden. Only had 10 peppers to stuff. This time last year...must have had 40 or more peppers. Don't know that the problem is.

Costume Lady said...

That should be 'don't know what the problem is'.

wvgal_dana said...

Yes Wanda this one teared way way more. Feeling alittle better today. Didn't need tylenol with right but do with left. It will all heal very well..I have all the faith in the world it will.

I just read about little Jake..sniffles for Andrea and her SIL. So sorry

Just seems I reading about so many terrible thing; boy died, Shirley's school teen killed in that accident, the fatal accident on 81 ramp, Ken needs prayers again, Sharon's friend needs prayers again also, Andrea's daughter need prayers, Megan needs rain prayers (if she hasn't had rain yet), Lynn's daughters freezer full of food all gone, Janie now fell and hurt her hip, and Gabby keeps having to be rescued.
Prayers as needed here.

Oh Hi Judie on other comment page...good to know Frank is home. Both of you rest will continue prayers.

wvgal_dana said...

Someone is bugging me for food ... still need to catch up on comments..slow going.

hedgie said...

It was at Independent Bible, Dana.

deb said...

The wind is blowing at the nest, I was hoping for an eagle sighting.

Lolly, today's high was in the 60's, supposed to be in the low 40's tonight. Weatherman advised to close windows tonight so you don't get too cold. It is hard to believe it is August!

Long afternoon at work today, I usually have patience with people who are not too smart, but after 30 minutes of saying the same thing over and over again, I wanted to pull my hair out!

magpie said...

Hi Deb - we're both home from our Saturday work tour!
And Loretta has promised us a park tale...☺

Dana ! - you take good notes, woman...caught up on all the prayerful news, good but sad place to start.

Sounds like you are perking along pretty well...

Good Evening Everyone else !

magpie said...

First part of the morning was the sleepiest for me and I think a nap is in order before starting on MY part of the Big Brother's 70th birthday project, my siblings are way ahead of me...they have done an good job and I have learned a lot about my brother....

But first, a little nest-watching.

magpie said...

I wanted to ask Megan if her husband's boss wants to use my Blazer for advertising...☺

magpie said...

That's a pretty cool avatar, Hedgie let me guess, you are a Redskins fan! ☺ I knew that !

magpie said...

If the Birds show up I will just have to read all about it.

Last night at a pond in Berkeley Springs, rimmed with hundreds of cat-tails, the grandson and I watched an estimate of about 100 red-winged blackbirds, male and female, roosting in the cat-tails then roosting in surrounding trees. Think they are practicting their migration routines. It was really neat!

TTFN z z z z z z z's for me for a bit.

**hI, EVERYBODY**

I fasted for many hours and then drove to the 'walk in clinic' for my HMO to get some blood work taken care of that I was scheduled for at least a couple of months ago.

Boy, it's really hot, hot, hot here these last few days, and it's scheduled for more of the same. I just pray we don't get hit by any firestorms this time. I think it's going to be an El Nino year, which is usually pretty wet here.

How's everything with you? What's happening with Koo, etc.? I haven't been on today.

I am fine, Jim. I wish we could trade a little weather. I will take some of your heat, you can have some of our cold.

movin said...

Yeah, I'm always hoping for the other when it's too hot or too cold.

I should win the Lottery and buy a nice place right on the beach.... I always liked that cool breeze off the Ocean when I lived in Del Mar.

They have some of the most moderate weather there in the Country ... all year round.

Hi again. The storm has ended. We got quite a bit of rain. I went out and put my hanging plants on the steps so they could get watered.

It rained so hard I wondered if they were going to be damaged.

I watched the Kennedy ceremony. My brother and I visited John Kennedy's gravesite a few days after his funeral. I was in college and he was in high school then. Long time ago.

stronghunter said...

Something is definitely above the nest.

stronghunter said...

We haven't heard from Judie. Hope she and Frank are having a good evening.

Lolly said...

Good evening! Got a lot of cleaning done today and then ran to Target and the grocery store. Feel like I got a lot accomplished.

Ashley's birthday present was delivered. Ordered on line a wall clock for the patio. I really like it and I am very excited about it. It is cast aluminum, antique finish, Roman numerals, really attractive. Looks like we are going to Dallas for dinner tomorrow, so we will be able to take her present to her. Yea! Her birthday is Thursday, but they are headed to San Diego for a vacation. Going to take Zach to the zoo.

Dana, glad your surgery went well and it is all behind you now. Yea! I still have one eye to go, but it is not ready yet.

Mema Jo said...

Hello! I am back from the hills of western MD - You all thought I was going to say the hills of WV didn't you! We got hills over here too... lol

I love shopping on line. Ordered Jacob's birthday present today. Ordered him a castle with many knight figures to go with it. Also, ordered a Storm Trooper costume and blaster. (gun). He loves to dress up and it will be his Halloween costume as well.

Judie said...

Hello everyone,

Well, busy day so have not been able to catch up. Did notice that in my absence there seems to have been some kind of partying all over the place last night. Did y'all get into Lolly's G&Ts?

Don't know what happened but am sorry one of Shirley's students died in an accident. Always difficult and most difficult to help students cope.

Frank is doing well. Restricted for another day or so as a precaution so I did my stuff and his stuff today for errands.

Did watch some of the Kennedy funeral while cooking dinner and eating. Went to Harris Teeter to shop today -- didn't want to deal with the security/crowds around Arlington.

Dana, happy the eye is healing. Soon you will be singing "I can see clearly now the cataracts are gone"

Have noticed Bai Yun leaving Diego alone for periods of time. Seems like that's a good sign.

Hate to be a party poop but need to finish up a few things before sleep. Time's running out for playing away the day -- school starts Tuesday for me.

I'll check in later to turn out my electronic night light.

Lolly said...

Did not see the creature at the nest, but do hear someone spending the night near the mic.

magpie said...

Great description, Judie - the creature that waves around the Ninja Turtle Glo sword at the nest. That's perfect ! ☺

Thanks for taking some precious time to check in with your pals...
You sound like the best nurse for Frank.

magpie said...

Hey, we are doing very well! We are First on Beakspeak for Yesterday, and the Last Seven Days - for our NCTC Eagle cam!

Judie said...

Maybe we could get the creature to use its glo sword to chop down the nest tree?

Told Frank the bloggers had been asking about him and he says he's doing fine, needs sleep, and very much appreciates all the good thoughts and prayers. Thanks everyone!

Ah, have the news on and seems cooler, less humidity for Tuesday. Perfect! I hate going into a classroom all sweaty -- makes me cranky!

lOLLY mentioned Halloween costumes, which reminded me of the statement made by Ted Kennedy's son (?). He said Ted loved costume parties. That's my kind of man! Wonder why he never came to my shop? He didn't know what he was missing;)

Costume Lady said...

Ahh...San Diego Zoo, it's the best! We got on a "Safari Train" and it took us all over the zoo. No walking, no sweating...just a wonderful experience!

Deb must be working tonight??
I wanted to know more about the explosion at the Crazy Horse site. Don't know if she told us and I missed it or not. DEB??

magpie said...

It's pretty cool to compare our pictures of the nest over the last few weeks, to what it looks like now. The tree is diminishing little by little....sometimes it seems the birds are even eating the leaves

Hi Wanda... -
and everyone else before, and to follow ♥

magpie said...

Deb had posted a link, Wanda, and I saved it for when I get sound back on my computer.

I think this will work:
Crazy Horse Blast

magpie said...

Yep that should work.....hope this link from me does not freeze up your computer....
bet it's great with sound....!

Costume Lady said...

JUDIE, glad Frank is doing so well and you too. When something is wrong with our spouse, it can be devistating:(

not sure what she was going to get into tonight....but she had an Eagle sighting !

ceil said...

Stopping by to say Peaceful dreams to all

Costume Lady said...

It worked, Margy...THANKS! That was awesome. You could see the explosion BEFORE you could hear the blast. We were at that site many years ago when they first started the statue. It is beautiful country!

Costume Lady said...

CEIL...now lady, you need to stay on here longer than 2 seconds;)

magpie said...

Hope your day was a good one, Ceil - sounds like Helen's was....when do you leave for the beach...come on, pull a Margy-Ceil maneuver and post a few more comments! ☺

Hi again! Got an email from Andrea....stupid blogger cop has her locked out of the blog! Gave her some suggestions. She'll keep trying, I'm sure. She was afraid she had done something wrong and that we had kicked her out!!! Assured her that wasn't and would never be the case. Her hubby is not doing well with the heat, so they have gone to a hotel for the night. She took her laptop with her.

magpie said...

Loretta tends to be a night owl! So we might hear from her again yet.

I guess I can remember things about my brother Fred from about when I was four years old, so that is over 50 years of memories to try to gather up!

Good night to those heading out to the pillows...

Hope any toughnesses of the day will be soothed in the morning, and that all happinesses glow through the night.

Lynn... any news on your sister and her husband's brother in law?

Prayers continue for all....

magpie said...

Oh boy, here come the Football Team wars...think I will just stick with my magpie and play it safe!

Hope you take a picture of the Birthday Patio clock to show us !

Jack plans to hang the clock for them. Michael is intelligent, attorney wise, but as for doing things around the house....well, it takes him a while. LOL I will take a picture! It is very tasteful...I think they will like it.

Lolly said...

Now, my clock on my patio is birds. You know the one, different birds sing on the hour. Do not think that would go over well with them. ha!

Lolly said...

Yes, our little trip does sound dreamy, doesn't it. Last year in Sept. we went with my sister and her husband, then we went this summer with Laurel and the boys. I think we are really going to enjoy it just being the two of us.

Good evening everyone. Had a wonderful day. Loved watching my baby boy beat those drums. The band was very good. The team won 6-0. Andrew is section leader of the drum line. I love that kid, just in case you didn't already know that. I am so tired and getting ready for bed. Will check back in tomorrow! Good night all!

Costume Lady said...

What Halloween costumes are going to be hot sellers this year? I'm not real sure...because we didn't get to the show this year, I'm a bit in the dark. Michael Jackson and Obama masks are sure to be big sellers and Pirates and Vampires again.
I've been mending costumes all week. It is unbelievable how thoughtless some people can be. Trying to fit into a size 10 costume when you are a size 14 is very common. I guess it goes with the territory:)

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

Lolly said...

This is so funny. I do not play games on Facebook, but Glo started a "food fight" with me and we have been flinging food back and forth. She just "threw" a Mississippi Mud Cake with Eagle Feathers at me. LOL I "threw" back wiggly jello with Eagle Talons.

magpie said...

Hey there Sharon !
Thanks for checking in, and it is so nice to hear how Andrew is doing ☺

magpie said...

If I cannot figure out how to get sound back, I will surely never manage to do Facebook, but it sure sounds like fun!

Lolly said...

Time for me to head to the shower and then to bed. Meant to do my nails this evening, but forgot. Will try to do them in the morning before church. Working in the yard is so hard on the fingernails.

magpie said...

Wanda I can barely thread a needle...so I wouldn't be much help in your work there, and you are right, where is the respect for someone else's property that people should have!
But you can have my wax if I am #100.

Margy, we do want you to join in. I like facebook just to keep up with friends. And, this food fight with Glo is fun!

Nite Margy! Nite Wanda! Would help with the mending if I lived closer!

Greetings from PA everyone.
Been away from the computer hanging with hubby on his days off.
Truth be told I'm the drill Sargeant. ;o)

Our friend George is still in ICU. Prayers are the only thing that can help now. He's had 60% of his liver removed. Cancer is such a family wrecker. Please continue with prayers.

Its' now football season so I'll be at the tv more as games are televised. Watched the Steelers and Bills tonight. Go Steelers!!
Watched Pats win the other night.
Yipee! My 2 favorite teams.

Did I miss a nest visit again?! I hear an occasional knock from the mic so maybe someone is hanging around.

God bless everyone.

magpie said...

Hello, and Good Night, Diann...

Prayers for your friend George, and you! One of my brothers-in-law, (oldest sister's husband) has just found out he has a cancerous mass on one kidney; you are so right, cancer is such a terrible disease.

Hi, Diann. Does being drill sergeant mean making hubby do chores?? LOL!
Pats were just lucky last night, you know!!! And we beat Pittsburgh last week, remember??? GO SKINS!

Guess Loretta probably fell asleep in the chair. Jim will probably finish his business soon and be back, and Andrea might get logged back on in the cool hotel room, but I can't wait...calling it a day.

Prayers for all in need. Haven't heard any updates on friend and family who need them, so I'm just praying harder!
Night-night.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, eagle gang,
I am at our hotel for the night, the Ayres Hotel, just down the street from my school. It's freezing in here, but it feels so good! Hope I manage to get this posted. Testing, one, two, three...?

Ms Bookworm said...

Hey, it works! How are all of you tonight? Probably sound asleep by now, I bet. Looks like more prayer is badly needed. Boy, we're having a couple of days here, aren't we? Let me take a quick look...Prayers for Diann and friend George, prayers for Margy's BIL and her sister too, prayers of thanks that Judie's Frank is doing well, prayers for the Kennedys after a rough day for them, prayers for techie wisdom for Margy so she can get the sound back, prayers of thanks for Dana's continued improvement, and prayers for all other needs. Haven't heard from either my SIL or BIL, so more prayers for them in their loss, and continued prayers for my daughter in her situation...Wow, I think I need to get some rest.
One thing I wanted to tell you about, though--went to the Wild Birds Unlimited store in Yorba Linda, and got some almost invisible (transparent) window sticker thingys that look like butterflies and birds. Birds see them as much brighter than we see them, and it stops them from flying into the windows! Also got an ORIOLE FEEDER!!!!! It's awesome. Bright orange, and you fill it with hummingbird nectar. Has larger holes, so orioles can get to the liquid easier. Also has a place to put half an orange on it, and wells for grape jelly! How's THAT for fancy?! Hung it late today, and will see how long it takes to attract them. If I can get any good pictures, I'll share them.
See a 'Spidey' web at the top of the cam picture--hope he didn't get the bug with the Ninja Turtle glo sword!
Well, I'm fading fast here--think I'll sign off for tonight. Will try to get back here early tomorrow--maybe I'll get to see an eagle or two! God bless us all, and sweet eagle dreams. G'night!

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh, forgot to mention--I think my electronic eye scan problem with the blog door lock is fixed now, and the motion detector porch light is on. The night light is glowing. Last one in, just be sure the door is shut tightly! We're all tucked in safely. G'night, John-Boy! G'night, Mary Ellen, (and so on....)

Glad to see that Judie checked in last night and that Frank is doing well.

Good Morning Everyone....Loretta is usually a night owl except when she has to get up at 6:30 AM! Afraid I konked out in loungechair as the Kennedy procession was crossing Memeorial Bridge to Arlington. Missed the rest, but hubby said it was dark and not good--needed lights.
Strange happening for Parks and Recreation Dept. was that a group had made a reservation for the whole weekend at Patuxent 4H Center property. It is at least 10+ miles away from OUR Park----North, near Bowie, MD. (There are 12 properties under the Patuxent umbrella)Heard they had been there last year & no problem. Group is called "Raw Spirit" espousing raw veggies, dancing, poetry, yoga, youth programs, meditation, "sacred exercise area", etc. First problem was they put out a poster w/scantily clad woman covered w/VEGETABLES in the critical areas!! AND NO phone number nor mention of 4H property, just Pax Park!!!! So of course people got our phone and directions and were calling and coming in about event from NY and Phila, etc!!!One lady from NY called from her taxi cab from airport about how to get to PRP!!!Then called back and finally mentioned the activity, so we told her the correct spot! A lady called me in afternoon FROM there about how to get a taxi from our area!!!!! I had to tell her to ask at 4H office & she was closer to Bowie!!I did give her name of a local taxi.
Early in the AM, Park Police had been ordered to come to our place to check on large croup that we had camping---to see that they had a permit. They were told that our group might be spill over from the Raw Spirit bunch!!!Not so, tho. Directors, I heard, got suspicious when a copy of poster was at meeting early this last week! It could be all innocent, but their presentation was poor.

And Deb, hope Gabby can get his act together and sorry Janie had a spill. Did Gabby get injured w/eagle chase?
As the fabulous Roseanne Rosanadana said, "It's always something!"

Not much of interest from me this a.m. Have a few tidy-up chores today but the big chore is a final reading of chapter material and lecture notes today and tomorrow.

Sorry I missed the eagles but have checked in on Diego a few times.

I'll be back later. Meanwhile, everyone have a lovely morning.

Mornin' MEMA JO!--Wishing you a good day---

stronghunter said...

Jo, I got a couple of pictures of this morning's visit. I'll put them on.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' SHIRLEY!---Surely your child didn't put something back from where he found it?---ho!--That is the story of my life---even though they moved out years ago!!---(kinda miss it)---

stronghunter said...

I posted the pictues of this morning's visit on my blog. Maybe Deb got some better ones.

stronghunter said...

He tends to leave the vacuum in the basement when he uses it down there. He is my basement dweller. Every once in awhile he gets a cleaning urge. The hard part is when he decides to bring all of his dirty dishes from down there and piles them in the sink. I have sworn that my children cannot find the dishwasher, for goodness sakes.

stronghunter said...

But then, sometimes he does not bring the dishes up. Last time, I had bridge club here, I could not find matching glasses for eight people, so we just made do with what was there. They have sons, too.

ceil said...

Morning all.
Shirley just got to look at all your pictures. Love Edgar Allen Poe poster LOL.
Good pictures of lib and belle and your daughter in the shark cage

ceil said...

Have lots to do. BBL have a great day

stronghunter said...

Wondered when someone would comment on the Poe poster. Doesn't he look cute in those tights?

stronghunter said...

Found vacuum in basement. Woke Will when I went down there. Oh well, it is 11:00.

Mits said...

Thanks for those morning pics, Shirley.
I still shiver when I think of Suzi in the shark's cage! What a story she'll have to tell!

hedgie said...

Sunday, Sunday......so good to see you all!
Shirley, I commented on your "POE" I think on the pic comment area!!
Norma, they are saying 40's tonight....ridiculous! You are so very kind to say nice things about my avatar!
Like yours, too, Shirley!
Loretta, got a good chuckle out of your story....hope no one was intentionally trying to give Pax at bad name!!!
Andy, glad you got back on okay! And hopefully slept cooly!
Ceil, when are you leaving for the beach? Weather not supposed to be too great today...:( poor Mits.

hedgie said...

STS-128 Crew Prepares for Docking
Sun, 30 Aug 2009 03:29:45 AM UTC-0100

During their first full day in space, astronauts aboard Discovery conducted a daylong inspection of the space shuttle’s thermal protection system, checked out spacesuits and prepared to dock with the International Space Station.

With Commander Rick Sturckow at the controls, Discovery is scheduled to link up with the space station at 8:03 p.m. CDT Sunday.

stronghunter said...

I see your comment, Lynn! They had a picture of Poe in their books. The confusion came about because I put up the Shakespeare poster when we were getting ready to study Poe. I really did not mean to confuse anyone.

They say such funny things. One boy told me that he had never read a whole book and wanted to know how many I had read. He was astonished that I've read so many I hadn't counted them. I tried very hard to get him through one book in his freshman year.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the info, Mits.

normabyrd said...

HEY CEIL!---I was just getting ready to tell SHIRLEY how much I enjoy EDGAR ALLEN POE'S work!!---ho!

hedgie said...

DEb, how is Janie doing? Any new news on Gabby? When do you start your news hours at work, and any chance that you could trade with someone??

stronghunter said...

Actually, most high school kids like Poe. They say "Oh Gross!" when they find out he married his young cousin, though.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' MITS & HEDGIE!!---SHIRLEY has great pics of our 'ROYAL COUPLE'!!----

normabyrd said...

SHIRLEY or any others who want to read a good book!!---I just finished reading 'THE READER'---GREAT BOOK!!--

hedgie said...

Good, Mits....weatherman goofed!! Any dolphins this morning?

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Norma. I will keep that one in mind. I have a couple of Koontz books on CD to listen to on my commute. I have been reading a lot of books that way recently.

normabyrd said...

MEMA JO---Just checked!---at least 3 BURROWING OWLS are out!--I guess the early one get the post!!

normabyrd said...

It maybe on CD---I know the movie is out!---This one is a keeper!

normabyrd said...

You may have heard us speaking of SUZANNE---She used to be able to blog on this site---She reads many books on her way to & from work!!

stronghunter said...

I remember the name, Norma.

I have about a 35--45 minute commute. That gives me enough time to "read" about a book a week. I had to adjust to listening rather than reading, but it wasn't too hard.

hedgie said...

LOL, Shirley...if they start doing genealogy on their own families, they wil probably find instances of cousins marrying, too!
Couldn't even begin to guesstimate how many books I have read in my life....but for the heck of it I started a running tab in Jan. '07----I am on #'s 95 and 96 now! I always have two going at once---one upstairs and one down for in the tub!

normabyrd said...

HEDGIE--- weather now 75° predicting 50° tonight & 45° tomorrow night--doesn't look like we will need a/c!!!

stronghunter said...

I wouldn't want to go there with them, Lynn. I try to stay out of trouble.

NatureNut said...

Good Grief! Frank was just on phone telling a friend that one Xmas at the Senate, Ted Kennedy sent down gifts to some staffers.F said there was a bottle of wine and framed print of sailboat that was copy of painting Kennedy did when he was recuperating from the plane wreck back injury!!He can't find it! (I don't remember the painting, but the wine was real sour and think we chucked it.) It's gotta be somewhere.

magpie said...

Oh, Dear, Mits...thanks for the information :(

deb said...

Not this year, too many other plane tickets. January, June and July. It would be nice though if I could make it.

Mema Jo said...

We're going to stick you in a bottle!
We would love to see you again - perhaps another upcoming year unless the Eagle Express heads out your way!

Mema Jo said...

Margy did anyone switch work schedule with you for the 17th?

Mema Jo said...

September is but a day away - time to start planning events/get-togethers for the Open House weekend. Start thinking about it!

Mema Jo said...

Little Ms. Hummer just looked in at me through the patio door and said
Where's my food? She hit all the new blooms on the salvia!

ceil said...

Jo got the birthday list. Thanks.
Yep we have to start to plan for Open House.
I have a little sparrow that when it wants food comes and sits on the azalea bush at the back door and looks in.
Lynn going down the ocean on Tuesday until Friday. Weather is suppose to be good.

Mema Jo said...

I'll send email to Clarion just to set up a sit down and see what they have to offer us for a Saturday evening dinner. Hopefully some locals & not so far away Momsters will help with the planning........... MTBR
