Well, magpie, I believe you are right!!

Thanks so much for Tom's card. It meant the world to him.

Morning Gwen!

Okay now Folks !
I have about two minutes to say
Best Wishes for Wellness wherever it is needed!
So glad that Deb made that decision, it's a wise one!

Norma - Sweeeeet offer, but you must be at Open House this year - I will beg, borrow and steal to try to make arrangements to be there...Want to see my "old friends" and meet a lot of New Ones !

magpie said...

...Where this is one, Sissy - there will be more !! Hpe they help with the healing and the smiles !

I want to stay and remark on everyone's greetings, but had to grab a nap and now need to get ready to take my friend to the store. Not sure what the rest of the day holds, can't sneak out too far 'cause of being on call for work...

Mits said...

good morning again, thanks Margy for the call over, was just fininshing up reading the posts:)

Getting ready to head out again. Apptmt. w/ insurance agent...she wants to try to sell me a long-term care policy...hmmmm. Losing GM Extended Care Coverage come Jan. 1st (it only cost $5/mo), so guess I should check in to it....but sure that it will be cost-prohibitive.
Daughter now in a quandry. The call center place recontacted her this am and wants her to retake assessment test NOW rather than in 6 mos......but will take a couple of days for outcome....other job offer could come this evening....she's not sure what to do: definitely retake test, but then if other job is offered...take and risk having to quit soon (leaving him in lurch) or turn down and then risk NOT passing test again....always a monkey wrench in the works!

I thought I had lost it! I put the update for Mason on the previous thread and when I couldn't find it here I flipped!

I am back up after a few more hours sleep. I think I have been burning the candle at both ends and just got overtired. I need to go just a little bit slower on my days off! :)

hedgie said...

Whichever way the story proves out...it's a tragedy. People criticize Pit Bulls, but all dogs have a blood lust, and everything depends on how they are raised. When I was a child, I witnessed a retired DC cop whose Canine unit retired with him get attacked by it while he was gardening. He was strong enough that he was able to repel and then take the dog down. I've never wanted to be around Shepherds since.....BUT it was a police dog and it was trained to attack----just never know what the triggers can be.

Mits said...

Bill is a Cat 4 hurricane now...

Even though it looks like Hurricane Bill will remain far offshore from the East Coast, the large hurricane will produce large swells that will radiate toward the East Coast from Friday to early Sunday.

The increase in swells will be good news for surfers, but beachgoers who take a dip in the ocean should be wary of some strong rip currents.

Surf's up, dude

floralgirl said...

Perfect, I'll be right there with my surf board, as I am contemplating running away from home.

Mits said...

come on down, Megan:)

hedgie said...

See you all later. Wish I was heading to the beach.......

Mema Jo said...

Deb - it's difficult not to think you are wasting a day off from work if you're not doing something! Guess you'll need to find out what a
'slow down' mode is. You take care of yourself.

Ms Bookworm said...

Good morning, everyone!
I'm draggin' in late again--not enough coffee yet, I guess. I've been trying to read and get caught up here.
Saw that Tom is doing well but having gas pains from procedure. Sissy, if you guys have a rocking chair, have him try sitting in it and rocking
VIGOROUSLY. Helps to joggle the air around, and should help. Years ago I had a procedure done where they blow you up with air; had bad shoulder pain from it, and rocking worked. You have to rock fairly hard, though, for it to work well.
Wow, it's actually cool here this morning in SoCal--heavy marine layer, aka 'June Gloom' so far. Sun should burn thru later.
Have about 50 birds on the patio, all pigging out on bird seed and suet. Mostly house finches and sparrows, with 5 or 6 doves.
Am extremely upset to report that one of the three Hooded Orioles I've seen lately hit our patio window, and didn't survive. It was one of the two adult females. At least there's another female and one male left. Darn it, that really didn't do much for my day, though. Poor little thing... Wish I could figure out what else to do to keep birds from flying into that window! Have decals all over it, but they don't seem to help much. Any suggestions?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Reckon Tom could eat tomato soup for lunch?

Mits said...

sure, give it a whirl, Sissy, maybe some crackers with it

Lolly said...

Good morning! I am having a very quiet time. Both boys are in the workshop with Grandaddy. Have watered plants and played two games of Trouble this morning. First game Joseph "skunked" me, second game I won by the skin of my teeth. LOL

Sissy, you gave me a good chuckle with with demand that we all feel good! I am doing my best!

Deb, sorry for the upset stomach this morning. Glad you had the chance to get more sleep.

I am going to my other computer and send out the recipe for Bacon Pasta. Then I will load a few pics. I got to cook in that dream kitchen....I loved it! Oh, man, the cooking I could do there!! And, counter tops galore! When I do coffee cakes at Christmas I am always so crowded. Maybe I will go over there to do them.

Heard a strange bird call this morning, but Jack and I did not see the bird. Interesting!

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynn, that is a bit of a tricky situation your daughter's in. Her path may be much clearer to her after going to the interview. Maybe the possible job will sound really good to her, and then again, maybe not. It's really encouraging that she has two possibilities, though!

Ms Bookworm said...

I'm going to go make some more coffee--be back in a bit!

Mits said...

sounds like a storm might be heading our way, dark clouds to the NW of here, but no evacuation of beach yet...

Ms Bookworm said...

Keep a sharp eye out, Mits--can't be too careful. Take care!

Ms Bookworm said...

Deb, sorry to hear that you're a bit under the weather. Hope the extra sleep helped.
Lolly, sounds like you're having a fantastic time! Been a while since I had a chance to play Trouble with the grandkids. I'm jealous! Enjoy!

Lolly said...

I sent out the recipe by email so it could be printed. Have posted pictures for yesterday at Michael's. Remember if you double click the pics you can see more than you really want to see. But be sure to take in the range/oven in the kitchen. I covet it...I have sinned!

Good afternoon! Got to school just in time to grab some picnic goodies and scarf them down.

Now I'm at my desk by the window looking out at the rain. Hope it is raining at home.

Would hate to take down the feeders because of grackles. They don't seem interested in the finch sock so far, but they just take over everything else. I have lots of other little birds trying to get to the food. I will have to see, but, of course, I'm not home during the day to see what is going on.

Will said a grackle flew into his window and knocked itself senseless. Was sitting there looking at him when he looked out.

Back to work.

Hi everyone,

Back for a visit. Just got home and haven't checked the critter cams, yet.

Lolly, will check email. I don't think you have an email for me. I'll let you know. Thanks for the recipe.

Gwen, hope you enjoyed the lunch.

Deb, happy you're feeling better. A slow day once in awhile isn't a bad thing.

Lynn, hope Carolyn finds that the interview will provide some direction. Tough call!

Jo, nice pictures about Mason. Prayers for his continued recovery.

I think Ceil will have fun no matter what. Seems to be that sort of person.

Megan, if you decide to run away from home you can avoid the hurricane (mostly) if you come visit me. My garden really needs serious help. Oh, and you can bring your surfboard, anyway.

Andrea, never seen a hooded oriole so another google is needed. Sorry one didn't survive.

Sissy, being of the Southern persuasion, my favorites when sick are grits or tomato soup. Of course, bacon pasta might be the best of all.

Lolly, what fun! Great that the boys get a lot of grandma/grandpa time. Too many children don't have any connection to their family. Remind me not to play Trouble with you. I don't want to get skunked.

Shirley, so glad you survived the dentist. I got my "do did" so now you have a beauteous smile and I have a beauteous "do."

Off to check critter cams and google hooded oriole.

>Bacon Pasta
>15 slices thick bacon
>1 cup mushrooms (I like more)
>2 cloves garlic minced
>16 ounces penne pasta cooked
>1 cup parmesan cheese grated
>2 cups whipping cream
>1/2 t. black pepper
>1/2 cup green onions sliced
>Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, remove bacon and reserve 2 T drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon. Sauté sliced mushrooms and minced garlic in bacon drippings 3 minutes or until tender. Stir in cooked pasta and next three ingredients, simmer over medium low heat, stirring often, until sauce is thickened. Stir in crumbled bacon and sliced green onions, serve immediately. Yummy!

Ms Bookworm said...

Judie,
Most of the pictures you'll see of the female Hooded Oriole don't do them justice. Up close, the color is just beautiful--a subtle yellowish olive green. The males are nothing short of spectacular! All the ones I've seen are yellow and black, not orange. Wish they weren't so skittish. Haven't been able to grab a camera quickly enough!

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, gotta make a quick trip to do errands. Will try to get back ASAP. Really can't wait to try the Bacon Pasta! Has me drooling!

Frank fixing the kitchen sink broken pipe so I don't dare tell him I think I screwed up our home email. I HATE TECHNOLOGY AND I WANT A TOMATO SANDWICH AND SOME BACON PASTA.

wvgal_dana said...

Andrea we watched a cardinal across the street the other day. We seen one doing this before too. It would be on the edge of the mirror of the truck or car. Fly down into the mirror. As if to see itself or to go in. Once it knocked itself to the ground. It did get back up and start all over again. Crazy birds!

wvgal_dana said...

Shirley when I had alot of grackles wiping out my feeders and suet. I got mix that did not have corn in it. Same with the suet. They stopped coming around. Might try that.

floralgirl said...

yikes, it is so stinking hot here today. And all the rain seems to be passing below us so far.
First day of school here, for some unknown reason. Don't they know it's still summer? Filling out the obligatory school paperwork...
Hey Sharon:)

Judie said...

Dana, Grackles apparently also like sunflower seeds. Cardinals apparently see their image and think it is a competitor so attack windows, mirrors.

Still working on trying to undo my email damage. Back later

wvgal_dana said...

Good Luck with that Judie...

Judie bird training is always hard to do. You can put signs with your feeders. Like "finches only", "corn for squirrels", "peanuts for blue jays and titmice" but no one listens in the bird family. (just being funny)

Dana, didn't buy any insurance yet....won't need it til Jan. $100 a month for long-term care that will provide $125/day for home care, or towards it or hospice or nursing home. Won't be doing the latter two, for sure....Home care may be necessary at the end. Whatever!!!

Hi, everyone, I'm back for a bit. Judie, sorry about your e-mail! Gosh, technology can be wonderful, except when it's messed up! Hope you get it worked out.
I should go water my patio plants, but it's very humid out, though not as hot as it has been, and I think I'll wait until the sun's down a little lower before I go outside. Since it's humid, maybe the plants haven't dried out too much (she said hopefully!)

Lynn, so excited and happy for all of you that Carolyn has a job. PTL! Sleep well tonight.

I am so excited that all of you are eager to try that recipe. It is a goodie. The recipe says it serves four and that is about right.

Judie, hope you get your computer problems solved. Sorry to have caused a problem. I just thought you werre already a Momster and got our email. Thanks, Helen, for posting the recipe on here for Judie.

We had a great swim at Cathy's house today. The four grandchilren got along great. Funny thing though....her grandson is 8 next month. My grandson Jacob, who will be 5 next month is taller than her grandson. Yes, I have very tall grandsons!!!! But look at their daddy 6'6" and Laurel 5'11'.

Lynn, Michael is 40 and Laurel is 36, exactly 3 years 11 months difference in their ages. Michael was adopted when he was 11 days old. We were planning to adopt a girl when I discovered I was PG. In fact, the adoption agency called before we called them. My baby girl was here and I had to turn them down. Called Jack at work, hysterical because they had called. He had to come home. I was beside myself!

floralgirl said...

Don't ya just love the tomato angel. I do have tomato plants, but as usual the flowers get more attention than the veggie plants, and although I grew some killer lettuce in the Spring, my tomato plants look pretty sad. Plenty of cherry tomatoes for the kid though. And since I go to farmers markets every weekend, I get some pretty good tomatoes from my friends there.

magpie said...

Oh Megan !
I was hoping to see a pretty new avatar !

As long as the kid's happy, that probably makes YOU happy too!
xo

floralgirl said...

Happy isn't really a word in my vocab lately. But yeah, we try to keep the kid happy, which is important.

Judie said...

Lynn, again thanks for the email check. So very happy for Carolyn. Whatever the outcome, she has to feel better about herself and her prospects. Give her my best, please.

Wish the tomato angel would visit me. Deer have eaten all our plants plus cucumber plants, and flowers. I feel sorry for them because the hot lanes construction has taken their habitat but sure wish they hadn't eaten up everything. No canning this year unless I buy at the farmers market.

Hey Sissy, I guess I have a truly perverted sense of humor -- I would have scheduled the follow-up just to see what kind of treatment was recommended -- maybe removal?

Shirley, why not take the little dog for "show and tell."

Dana, hadn't thought about bird training school. Every Spring I have a squirrel class to teach them sharing. Maybe next time I'll include a "recognize your own plate" bird class with multple choice answers.

Maybe when we take off for Alaska or Hawaii we can convince Ceil the ground has just had too many G&Ts and she's not REALLY on a boat. Course Lolly would have to be there to verify the G&Ts.

Andrea, I like the chimes suggestion.

Lolly, my fantasy kitchen. Gorgeous. Also, you didn't cause the problem -- I'm just technology challenged and then when something goes wrong I panic. Lynn sent a test email and I think it's okay. I just appreciate being invited in and all the help and concern. I think what happened was when I added an alternative email (used gwu because I have no imagination)and then verizon got confused because our personal emails are verizon. I removed the alternative email. Lynn's email came through. I'll let y'all know if it still doesn't seem right.

Okay, been chatting too long now. Later.

..Hope Happy Happens, one of these days floralgirl -
My mother used to talk of the difference between unhappy and sad...I have always remembered it, and her for it. So I am sad when I think of not having her around, but not unhappy. Make Sense?

magpie said...

It'll work out Judie, don't be Sad, just unhappy ! ☺

magpie said...

Going to start working on a special birthday project for an older brother who turns the big 7-0 in September, he is NOT HAPPY about it, so we - other brothers and sisters - are going to try to turn it around for him! so into the "Hoogland" files I go for some old pictures....

TTFN - You all Take Care !

Well I just had the honor of

\APPROVING JUDIE AS AN

OFFICIAL EAGLET MOMSTER

ANOTHER ONE JOINED THE NEST

Mema Jo said...

Judie your email address is the
verizon account and it works well.
It's when some use a Yahoo account for email notification instead of their usual personal email address and then forget to check their Yahoo messages that causes the problem.
Thanks!

Mits said...

woo-hoo, welcome, Judie:)

Mema Jo said...

I checked out the Chimney Swifts
You can really tell it is a chimney structure now.....
Aug 18, 2009 -
The chimney swift chicks are now exactly one month old. They have become independent and spend most of their mornings away from the chimney, though they still roost there at night with their family.

hedgie said...

Well, we got some thunder and a few sprinkles, will barely penetrated the canopy.....ground is still dry! Just drops on grill and other things that are in the open, but driveway didn't even get wet! Power went out once for a few seconds.

Judie, hope the emails work for you!

LOL....Ceil, the little paddle boat holds 150 people.....not TOO little!!!
Glad you had a good time!

Lolly, bet that was really hard for you to back out of the adoption...poor heart. But can understand your dilemma...hard to deal with two under one year at the same time.

hedgie said...

Margy, missed the city traffic on the scanner....I was on the sofa and can't hear it well from there. Don't know what was going on.

floralgirl said...

Makes sense to me, Margy. Don't worry about me, I'm down, but not out...as they say. Life is just a little tiresome lately, for many reasons I'd rather not go into on a public site. On another note, had to turn in the tags on my mkt. van today, we determined it needed too many repairs to make it runable(is that a word)- have been driving that van for 21 years.

Mema Jo said...

Magpie - I wish you had a scanner for the old photos and knew how to put together a PowerPoint Presentation for your brother! They are great! Hubby has done a few for very special occasions! Then he burns CD or DVD for all.

Mema Jo said...

When are we going to have a
"Bury the van" ceremony?
It deserves a decent burial
It has served you well

Bye Bye Old Blue Van!

Mema Jo said...

Oh My I bet Ceil didn't mean like
paddle boat with oars....
BUT a Mississippi River
Paddle Boat. That would be cool!

Mits said...

let's hold up our glasses to the "old blue van"....may she RIP

floralgirl said...

LOL...Told hubby I was gonna bury it in the back yard.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Megan, maybe with your green thumb, if you bury it you can grow new ones? :)

floralgirl said...

Well, Sharon, maybe I'll rip the rusty roof off and plant the interior.

Mits said...

Megan, might be a TV show in this, how to recycle you old cars and make a garden out of them:)

deb said...

That sounds like a great plan, Megan, turn it into a planter! There must be a way to make it a money making project, but I can't think of one right now.

I am off to read for awhile. Night everyone.

Mits said...

night Deb, hope you get a good night's rest.

floralgirl said...

Hmmm.... how to turn your old van into a garden planter, or walk in closet, or dog house or giant beer cooler- the possibilities are endless.

floralgirl said...

Hope you feel better, Deb.

paula eagleholic said...

OMG, I am soooo stuffed!

Had a wonderful dinner w/ my gf, her hubby and her parents who are visiting from England. Went to the Fairfield Inn... It was GF hubby's birthday. Made plans to visit with them again before they head back to England in 12 days....

paula eagleholic said...

Oh no, here I am talking about food and Deb still has an upset stomach...hope it feels better tomorrow, Deb.

Another oh no...did the market van die, Megan?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

or a home or a dog house or a . . .

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Paula, can't we go visit them after they go back to England. Then we could visit Chrissy too! :)

floralgirl said...

Yep, ole Blue has been declared unfixable..... Sounds like dinner was yummy!

paula eagleholic said...

Sharon - we could! They are great people and would let us stay with them!

Megan = I like a planter or dog house for the van.

hedgie said...

Megan, you could turn the van in as a clunker....if you could just dig up some more green for a new one. Wishful thinking, I know, right now...boo. Stay positive....you know we are praying as hard as we can!

Margy, that certainly does sound like a special project to work on for your bro. Maybe you could find someone to do what Jo suggested!

paula eagleholic said...

Sorry to hear aobut the van, tho.

hedgie said...

Think it's time for some ice cream....haven't had any in about a month! Turkey Hill Chocolate Peanut Butter-----m-m-good!

I pictured a huge pontoon boat with foot pedals for Ceils' trip!!! LOL!

NatureNut said...

Good Evening Everyone in Eagleland!
Got home after 8:30. Stayed to use giant work table for potential showcase layout for all the high school papers/pics,etc for reunion. People sent way more stuff that will fit on one board, BUT I saved 2 French boards I made for the last one!
Gotta catch up ☺

Mits said...

Meagn, fix it up and rent it out as a room:)

paula eagleholic said...

Mits - good one!

Ceil - boat, crabs and osprey. Sounds like a great day!

hedgie said...

Deb, hope you feel 100% tomorrow.

Paula, glad you had a nice evening out!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, and dish's seem to be affected by storms that are further away...Mine always goes out before the storm arrives!

floralgirl said...

No chance of trading it in, Lynn. Couldn't handle and don't want a car payment right now. Anyway, with no brakes it wouldn've been a difficult ride to the dealers.
But the ideas are great, and maybe I'll use it as a garden shed... I'm outa here, long day...bus was an hour later than we thought it would be this morning, apparently they changed the bus route but told no one. So hoping we have a better start to school tomorrow morning. Nite all:)

magpie said...

Oh Boo Hoo, the old Flower Power Van....I am sad about this, but so happy I got to see it and its remarkable owner "In Action" in Shepherdstown! and I even have a picture!

floralgirl said...

Although I could use the rent money... later:)

Mema Jo said...

ROFLMBO
I like Sharon's suggestion the bestest!

Megan, maybe with your green thumb, if you bury it you can grow new ones? :)

magpie said...

Paula, I went to the Fairfield Inn one time, many years ago, it was very nice. Glad you enjoyed yourself and the company.

Some very creative suggestions on here for "Old Blue."

Mema Jo said...

Nite Megan and Deb

Have a restful sleep

magpie said...

My computer is becoming a clunker!
Have lost my sounds...says "No Audio Device". Not a project I feel like working on tonight. At All. So I am not gonna.

magpie said...

Yep - Good night Megan and Deb...and Ceil...hope you can hear us still...

paula eagleholic said...

Margy, my computer is a clunker too. Wish they had a clunker trade in for computers!

Judie said...

Hello everyone,

I want to say how excited I am to be an official eaglet momster and to know I have a nest when needed. Thank you for allowing me into the nest.

Maybe we could all go visit Paula's friends and Chrissy on Ceil's "paddle boat." Jo, I agree the "paddle boat" put me in mind of the old Delta Queen on the Mississippi.

Megan, hope whatever is wrong makes itself right again. Sorry about the van. Like part of the family after 21 years.

Turning my light out now but leaving the night light on for others.

Until tomorrow,
Judie

Mits said...

well this "ole clunker" is off to bed, hope no one decides to come out on their balconies at 3 in the a.m. and talk.......good night and prayers for all.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Mits, you are not an "old clunker". You are a classic! :)

magpie said...

I sure like the way we work on holding each other together here...what a true blessing.

I think I am going to finish out the night taking needle and thread to the "Tiger Quail" stuffie that the grandson grabbed up last week...got a few little seams coming apart.

Good Night, Everyone...Sleep Sweetly, Rest Well...and remember God is always trying to sneak something special into your Inboxes ~ ☺ xo

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good night Margy. This really is a wonderful place, ain't it?

Mema Jo said...

It's the Bestest !

Good Night All!
Peaceful sleep and pleasant dreams and no one on the balcony after midnight!

Prayers of thankfulness for this day
Prayers for those in need!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good night and sleep tight. Sweet eagle dreams to my friends of fine feathers and fur! Love you all!

Costume Lady said...

GOOD NIGHT MARGY...Hope you enjoy your tomatoes. Finding your Apt. by looking for your "MEGAN FLOWERS", was a hoot for GeeGee. I took her to the dentist for a cleaning and we stopped at your place on the way back. I told Mom, that because the house numbers were faded, we needed to look for a bunch of flowers on a porch. Just about that time, she said "there it is!" Sure enough, there was a pretty flower garden all over the porch. Looked so cheerful:)

Costume Lady said...

We love you too, Sharon. Sleep well:)

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Hey Wanda, when are you and GeeGee going to come and find my house?

paula eagleholic said...

And YAY to Judie for making her way thru the membership maze! This is always plenty of room in the nest!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Our nest is ever-growing. I love it!

paula eagleholic said...

That is...there is always plenty of room in the nest! (Must have had one too many wines at dinner!) Hee hee

Lolly said...

I'm back! Had to catch up on comments and facebook after the boys went to bed. Poor Jacob! He was so tired!

I have a great idea....a "road" trip to see Chrissy in my submarine! I bet we could all get in it! There are a few on here that might not know I have a sub. LOL

WELCOME Judie!!! Official chick in the nest! Wahoo! Now you can get all the hundrends of emails. LOL (Jack is always after me to delete all the mail! LOL)

Tomorrow we are going to Omni the imax theatre in Ft. Worth. Think we are going to see a film about dinosaurs. Afterwards.....ice cream at Braums!!!

Friday we take the boys home. I am also going with Laurel and Joey to meet Joseph's new teacher.

hedgie said...

Margy, sure hope your sound card hasn't died! Hopefully, just a setting that needs tweaked!

paula eagleholic said...

OK, folks, gotta pack it in! Up too late last couple of nights...

See ya tomorrow....I love this place and ya'll too!

Hugs to all ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, Lolly, forgot to say nice set of family pics! Sounds like you're having a great week! Enjoy those boys!

Lolly said...

I have been forgetting to tell you that we are once again having major armadillo problems. Every night my lawn and flower beds get plowed up. On morning I hosed and tried to patch up 36 holes in just one little area of the yard. He or is also digging up bulbs as well as plants. I go out each morning and check damage and replant. GGGGrrrrrrrrr!!! Jack is going hunting again!!

Lolly said...

Thanks, Paula! We are having a great week. Will be lonsome, but not so tired next week. LOL

wvgal_dana said...

Jim will probably be the last in or do we say first in.

$#%^&*$$#%%^%&** the bulb in night light blow out. Had to put in another one but hit my toe on basket of tomatoes.

Contragulations to our newest Eaglet_Momster "Judie".

Night All in Eagleland prayers and blessings.
Rest well

PA Nana said...

Good evening to any/all that are still awake. Blessings around. I'm been off the computer several times these last few days because of storms. Today's was awesome.
I tried the eagle cam and nothing. Has anyone got info on when it will be repaired and up again? I sure miss it.

I saw the baby panda today - so cute!!!! Just want to pick him up and cuddle.

Can anyone give me a update on Koo?
Last I saw him/her she/he was flying away from the nest and back again. Have not seen her/him eating but appears to be healthy except for that leg.

Well, another day comes to end and I'm ready to get into my chair for the night. Please keep in your prayers a very good friend of ours, George, who will have 60% of his cancerous liver removed Wednesday. Then 3 months of chemo.
We're hoping he can beat this like he did with his prostrate and colon cancers a few years back.
This breaks my heart because they are so far away from us. Thank you each and every one for your friendship and understanding.
God bless,

hedgie said...

Hope that Shirley has made her way on to Momster mail...I don't recall seeing any posts there from her. I have her in my regular email momster address book, as well as Judie.

Lolly, sub sounds like a great idea!!! Tell Chrissy to look out!!! Prayers for her son, Matt, who still is out of work, and was totally scr---d by his employer, too.

Wanda, wouldn't it have been a hoot if you had left the tomatoes on the wrong doorstep??!!

Agree, Sharon and all, we are a lovely and loving group...and I love each and everyone of you.

That being said, I am going to get ready for bed. Hope everyone has a good night---silence, sweet dreams, etc. Prayers and peace.

One last thing before I go....good night and good morning to Jim!!!

Lolly said...

Good night, Dana! Good night all!

Sweet dreams, God bless each and everyone of you!!!

hedgie said...

P.S. Hi, Diann. Sorry I missed you.
No word yet on our cam repairs. So we don't know if Hidey is still hanginmg out or not.
Koo has been seen eating...we just don't know whether she's been learning to catch any herself. Seems rather doubtful that she will be able to hold anything and land with it....so sad.
Definitely prayers for friend George.
Hope your storms peter out so you can stick around more! G'night.

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, it's pretty late back east, but just wanted to jump in and say goodnight to everyone...then I got busy reading. So hi, everyone!

JUDIE, WELCOME TO THE NEST!!! IT'S GREAT TO HAVE YOU BECOME AN OFFICIAL MOMSTER!!! YAAAYYYY!

Megan, so sorry about your Blue Van! I know how you feel; I had an old Maverick that I really hated to part with. Maybe you could have the van smashed down into a cube and you could use it as a doorstop!
I threatened to do that to my good ole Maverick. Actually, renting it out as a room sounds like the most lucrative idea. Hmmm...a nice new set of curtains, a carpet remnant, maybe a twin-sized air mattress and a sleeping bag to match the curtains...oh, the possibilities!
Prayers being said for the tiresome things in your life that I know can be so bothersome. Just remember that you can always ask all of us to pray when needed. I have found that some of the most powerful prayers are the ones we say when we ourselves don't know exactly what to pray for--it's then that the Spirit takes over and prays for us and with us! You hang in there, and remember that all of us are with you 200%! Love you dearly! (Really like your new avatar, too! Your flowers are all so beautiful!)

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Diann,
Good to see you here again! Prayers being said for your friend George.
Well, it's getting a bit late here, and I'll be up SO early again tomorrow, so think I'll say goodnight. Prayers for all our needs, prayers for healing, renewal of strength, protection, inspiration, and a good night's rest for all.
Jim, if you're there, the night light's on, and the key's under the mat.
See all of you tomorrow! :o]
