Hello all:) Going to be a beautiful warm day here, Hidey is gonna be looking for shade later. Hey Deb, I'll trade you one carolina wren alarm clock for your cardinal alarm clock. Keep in mind, the wren is set for 4:50 am, and has no snooze function. Have a great day, I'm off to play in the plants. Hope to see more hummingbirds today:)
Good morning all. I have the beautiful song of a white-throated sparrow right outside my window this morning. God's music box is getting louder every day!!! ☺
DEB!--Have days confused---I lost a close friend Wed eve & another friend is in hospital!!---It's hard to accept the loss when they are younger than you!!----
MORNIN' SHARON!!----Hope all went well with you at UVA!!!---I have a nest of CARDINALS at the corner of my house!!!----Think of you when I see them!---Remember the BALD CARDINAL you had! ho!
Norma, sorry to hear about your friend. We went to the wake last night of my sister-in-law's nephew, 23 years old. He has a 3-year-old son who is the spitting image of him. Such a sad time for everyone. His father just died in February.
I was watching OK site---M0M was feeding the little EAGLET---an EGG still in the nest & MOM is attempting to cover it up!!---little one wants to help----
Morning, Momsters/Dadsters. Chilly in the Eastern Panhandle--41--but sun is shining. Myrtle Beach nowhere close to our Candy, Norma! Sorry for your loss of a friend. Hope your other friend is doing better. Candy...if you check back in...hope the geek at least was able to recover stuff off bad puter so you can load a new one! Will send you blue links for cams if you need them when you get a new one!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... It is a beautiful, sunny morning here in Martinsburg/Shepherdstown. It is 49° and going up to 76°...what more could you ask for on a Friday. Saturday and Sunday are going to be beautiful, as well, but quite a bit wamer! By the way, Megan, I have a Robin nesting right outside my bedroom window, and I find the Robin THE most annoying wake up call I have ever heard. She fusses ALL DAY LONG! She doesn't have a snooze button either..LOL
Candy is in THE OUTER BANKS of North Carolina. The fires are several hundred miles away in South Carolina. CANDY IS SAFE FROM THE FIRES, BUT HURRICANE SEASON WILL BE UPON US BEFORE LONG:(
Morning all. I live in the city. I will trade you all your birds if you take my annoying neighbor. He comes out around 6 or 6:30 with coffee sits on his bench and yells at everyone going to work. He also has a radio that does the fire and police calls. We do have lovely birds but they do not drown him out. He has been good lately because we have complained to him. Sorry to vent on this beautiful day
PSSMITH!---You will be able to see the EAGLETS flapping wings---attempting to fly across the nest, etc.----That's what they will do before they take off!!---You can really worry about the little ones then!!----
I hope today is not the day. It will probably be over a month before Hidey is ready to fledge. Has to get flight feathers in, practice a lot more on the wingersizing!
SMITH...It will be long time, yet, before Hidey Fledges. Thank goodness. We want to keep him in the nest as long as possible. We enjoy watching his antics:) We will have a field trip in June to to watch him practicing "flying".

Good morning! Whoa, when did Hidey get so big? He/she is growing too fast!
Nope, Norma, no sub at OK this morning. Looks like it is windy there again. You can not believe the wind that was there last Sunday morning. I had to brace myself on the van to stand up!
Norma, there is a picture of Jack on my blog. You know I have to take pictures of my Jubby!!

Hedgie - when we found app art a couple of years ago...the people making comments on their chat/blog were nasty to everyone...It may be different now...haven't checked it lately
I am thinking it was the CT Osprey cam? They had brought a blue teddy bear in the nest so I called the baby, "Baby Smurf". One of the hurricanes blew the bear out of the nest but the baby had already fledged. He would stand on that bear, lay on it.
* Hi Paula and Everyone Else * The White stork was just up and there are surely two white eggs on the nest. Sound is pretty bad on that cam, like there us a short circuit or something in it. White Stork Nest, Germany
Deb hope you didn't have to call in a plumber, but Norma might have the name for a good one from last summer if you need to ☺
Hope everyone has a good day, and that we see Mema back on here soon.
I've pretty much coughed my brains out the last couple of days so anything else I try to say probably won't make much sense.
Saw the coolest thing this morning on my elementary bus run. Mature bald eagle caught a rabbit in a field and headed to the nest. Pointed the eagle out to the kids but didn't mention the rabbit (LOL). Now I gotta go over in my truck with binocs and try to find the nest.
Thanks, Paula!! Netbook keeps saying that memory is low (think it defrags whenever it says it because it says it is restoring memory or something like that!)--and I know pics use a lot. And don't what to bog down PC with alot...I have about 4 yrs. of pics on it!
So why do people have to be so nasty? Makes no sense....can't all just get along?? Peace on Earth!
MARGY...you're up and about...how are you feeling today??
Margy, are you taking a good cough medicine? Can imagine how you feel like holding your head together when you cough that much...been there!...and oh, the headache!
Just heard that Texas is the worst place for hair!!! (humidity=bad hair day) Never thought that TX was particularly humid except along the coast! Have things changed since I was there in '68???

If you're just hanging them by a wire, put a band all the way around the wire someplace, and that will keep them off too.
I don't use the pop up, but I tried it to check it out...all I get is the upper left hand corner of the cam page....not the cam itself...except for a tiny sliver of it along the bottom of the pop up window.
Great news for BWO!!! Paula, bet you were the first to see! Lisa must be on top of the world. Wood pile is moved, but still need to clean up the mess! Patio lights in garden cleaned and bulbs replaced. Dead flower heads cut. I'm done for today! Hidey is doing his wingersizes...getting dinner appetite ready!

For the people new to our nest, just imagine 3 eaglets doing the wing flaps at the same time in the nest. That was more than nerve wracking!
Dark clouds have rolled in...looks like it's getting ready to dump...don't recall that they were calling for anything....yuck!
Yep, raining now.
They had mean people there, right?
Did we watch that one last year?? Seems like it was probably a couple of years ago.
HEDGIE!---It's raining?----WOW!---that's unexpected!!
Yes, Hedgie, chance of passing tstorms next couple of days!
Mits - those were nasty people there! They have sound now....cool. Someone there said the WDFW Osprey has an egg today!
looks like that rain will be at nest maybe in the next 20 to 40 minutes....if it does not dissipate
yes Sharon, some people that we actually knew were very mean...:(, then last year you had to pay to get a good view.....this year view looks good, have not read their chat yet

LATER---lunch date---
Well, I found the site but it says no video so it must not be on yet.
it has been on ,Sharon , but is broken again...
Ok, so I am a little behind times! :)
Mei Xiang is laying in the cool grass
never mind she is on the move
I also was wondering the other day if they ever located Freida and Frodo? Does anybody know?
yes they went to another building down under.....have to wait till end of our summer to see them again, I guess
playtime in Atlanta
Saw the coolest thing this morning on my elementary bus run. Mature bald eagle caught a rabbit in a field and headed to the nest. Pointed the eagle out to the kids but didn't mention the rabbit (LOL). Now I gotta go over in my truck with binocs and try to find the nest.

So why do people have to be so nasty? Makes no sense....can't all just get along?? Peace on Earth!
MARGY...you're up and about...how are you feeling today??
Tai Shan is eating among the spring blossoms
driver lady, is that the NCTC nest you are talking about:)?
Welcome, driverlady! What a cool vision, huh? Where are you located?

** GOOD MORNING **
** TO EVERYONE **
jIM
Hi, Jim.
Sorry to hear that, Margy...but bed is the best place to be. You have to work this weekend, right?
Those Duke Farm babies are sooo cute
DUKE FARM EAGLETS
Is that Hugo's nest?
Hugo was the stork that died in Germany.
Wow, Hidey looks HUGE and I mean huge today! Just did some wingersizes...and he's up in the nest...looks as tall as an adult today!
Hidey is 6 weeks old tomorrow!
Lots more wing flapping!
Moving some fluff, and walking around the nest...learning how to balance better...
All the fluff, but for one small feather is gone from the top of Hidey's head!
Paula, that white spot reminded me of Baby Littley's white spot last year.
Xi Lan is nursing Mom now... in the hammock.
Jim
ZZ is asleep up in the top of one of her "trees."
Jim
Hidey just nodded right out onto her face. That was so funny.
I am new to this site and really enjoy the Eagles and see that you talk about other cam. can you tell me where I can find them?

incoming
whole family
and a fish
my pop-up cam is not working
Dragon, there are other cams listed at beakspeak.com. Welcome.
Hidey is working on that fish all by himself.
Thanks hedgie, my kids love this one so I'm sure they will love the others aswell.
Dragon, where are you located? Are there any nests in your area?
Florida, lot's of osprey nest but I don't know of any Eagle. I'm sure there are some I just don't know where.
There used to be one in Port St. Lucie (where my mom used to live) but it's no longer an active nest. Not sure if there's any others or not.
Florida has the second highest population of eagles, behind Alaska
There is/was one in Tesoro (listed as Audubon on beakspeak), but it no longer has a cam due to lack of funding.
They like to nest near water, as they prefer fish
Indoor chores done...now to head outside and do more work! BBL.
both osprey BWO
Well, the male grosbeak finally found me!! YEAH!! But the ants have found my hummingbird feeder! ARGH!
Portland RTH are in view
now the adult RTH is there watching the little ones

Osprey laying down again at BWO
And from BWE...
04/24/09:
We've chosen our two winners in the Eaglet-Naming Contest, and once we contact them, we'll make a formal announcement.
Look at Hidey standing at the back of the nest....no doubt you can see him over the edge from the ground.
Jim, my hummingbird feeder is actually attached to a suction cup on the window. I have tried Vaseline before and they just went right over it.
It would be kind of hard to put Crisco on my window! :) Although, I know that Crisco is the very best!
lol....industrial strength ants.....must have put their booties on Sharon
Can't wait to see Hidey start getting some air!!
its the only kind I use, or used to use.....not much frying going on in this house:(
Spray the suckers...
My Crisco looks really old and nasty! I think I need some new stuff!
Guess I should chuck it, huh?
yeah spray them with Windex, no ants and you will have clean windows;)
sure it has a long shelf life, but if it looks nasty, chuck it.
Well, I can't get my popup cam to work. It is just showing part of the main web page and I can hear the sound.
I am hoping this Crisco has a really long shelf life! ☺ ☺ ☺
I think I did pitch it...need to buy a small container, just to have on hand!
I think Hidey is watching the flies at his feet!
yes, my pop-up has not been working all day...
Osprey still laying in the BWO nest
I don't use the pop up, but I tried it to check it out...all I get is the upper left hand corner of the cam page....not the cam itself...except for a tiny sliver of it along the bottom of the pop up window.
Well, you can go to the edge and stretch the box where it shows the whole page but that is kind of useless.
It is still up on my laptop because I have had it up since yesterday.
Osprey still laying in BWO nest....hmmmm
Looks Like Belle dropped in!
Hmmm, wonder if that was a switch at BWO???
Hmmm think that's Lib
I see an egg at BWO!!!
Both at BWO....Lib is digging into the fish....Hidey is eyeing it...
Hidey is getting fed by Lib
I was thinking that was Belle.
Hidey is done eating...he wiped his beak like a good little eaglet!
Lib is finishing up the tail now...
BWO egg pic on the EM blog
Think Lib went up into the tree
I think that's Mom on the BWO egg now....Dad keeps popping in and out...
Seemed smaller and lighter than Belle, Sharon. And the beak looked in much better shape, too.
Egg turning at BWO
More egg turning...hard to see it...it's in the birds shadow
did you send the pic to Lisa, Paula:)?
Yuppers...
She finally knows....
Hey, she got the BWO page updated!
04/24/09:
Egg Alert!
We have our first egg of 2009! We could see one or two more, normally coming about three days apart.
It wasn't my pic....but you can see it clearer in the one she posted on the webpage.
Catch ya'll later!
just called Suzanne to let her know of the egg at BWO....I could hear her SMILE:)
Great news about BWO.
WooHoo, an egg at BWO. I just got home, need to catch up!
