I got tagged for a shift after all, midnight last night....so the next few hours I will spend sleeping.....thus, my Sunday "Mass" will be a most private one here at home.
We do have an arrest ( a volunter fire fighter with one of the companies involved in fighting the fire) -in the one arson barn fire (last Tues) - during which there were two injuries. The suspect, is not believed to be tied in with any of the other suspicious arson fires.
Please pray for what is a dreadful period ahead for him and his family, and that forgiveness will be found....
and for continued recovery for the seriously injured firefighter from that incident.
God Bless All of You, I hope your respective days are as enriching as the reason for the Celebration.

Just finished mowing the lawn for the first time this season. The bunny had started a nice little hole in the ground so I mowed around it. The neighbors will think I missed a spot!
Going to try to get out to BW later today. Hoping to see there's no more drama at BWO. If you look REALLY closely at Lisa's video of the area around BWO you can see an eagle in the trees. That's the exact spot I've been getting my closeup shots.

Finished dinner here....took the gkids down to the park, they got to play on the swings and slide. Dogs got to play with the ball! Kitchen all cleaned up...time to relax just a bit, do some laundry, maybe do something out in the yard or take a walk...

Just tuned in to a dramatic Hidey Poop Shoot with mom right there.
Easter egg hunt went very well - all eggs found - none left in grass for the next mowing! Food was delicious and all got their fill! Time to kick up feet and lie relax for a few!
The fun part of this day is just beginning...relax and prop up:)

We went to the lake this weekend, finally got our boat in the water and docked, camper down there!! It got a little cold at night but, all in all, it was a good weekend. We even got a little pink today from the sun! Sure has been a long, cold winter!!
I hope everyone found their eggs today and had a great day! Now I am off to bed to get ready for the work week!

Raccoon alway scare me when they come out in the daytime. Maybe that has become the norm..if they can't find enough to eat at night.

Sometimes when they are hungry, they will be out during the daylight. It was about 5 pm, and the stumps it was on were all covered with sunflower seeds. We were thinking it could've been a pregnant female. We've been seeing it around the yard, and it looks healthy.

Megan, loved the pictures of your Easter racoon. One Christmas Eve, it was very late, Santa had come, and Jack and I were headed to bed. Turned on the back yard light to see a few snow flakes falling and there was the Easter bunny in our back yard. It was magical!

We had thunderstorms and over an inch of rain in the wee hours of the morn. Thought it was going to be yukky all day, but this afternoon the sun came out and it warmed up. We sat outside and let Zach play the whole time they were here.

Margy and Lynn, our preacher told us this morning that the injured firefighter can now move his hands. I didn't realize he was that badly injured. He will have to have some sort of surgery on his face. I guess reconstructive surgery. So sad.

I saw some ducks on a pond tonight, they were mostly white, with black about the head and some on the body, and they seemed to skate or ski across the surface of the water...I am trying to ID them now...any ideas? I could not get a great view of them due to distance and dusk...

The firefighter broke nearly every major facial bone, including both eye sockets, mandible, crushed his sinuses, and possibly skull fracture too, but no brain injiru.
It was an extremely forceful blunt traumatic injury, like having a 30-foot railroad tie strike him in the head and face, arm and shoulder.
Still no sign of towhees, here, margy:( Lots of bluebirds today, and my phoebe pair, and still huge flock of cedar waxwings, yesterday I thought I saw the brown thrasher, but haven't seen it since... off to bed, long day...nite all.
Deb looking at pictures I would say it mostly resembles a bufflehead, in coloring, though I could not see the head cleawrly enough

The Coltsfoot is mostly a roadside wildflower/weed, back roads....but I wonder if the salt treatments of the past winter did not ruin their habitat just a little...
It is only 9:30 here and I am yawning my head off! Looking forward to tomorrow. House is clean, no doctor appts, no errands to run, no food to cook. I can play outdoors all day!

I am liking the new camera! last night got some good pictures of my grandso's two dogs, still need to download the software to hook up to the computer though, my work schedule got me tangled up a little but it's going to happen THIS WEEK, definitely before the field trip to Patuxent Wildlife Preserve. Services and inurnment not until 17June at Arlington.....mom will be here then, but don't think she will be up for it emotionally the way my sister talks. Puny obit....guess I'm just used to the usually extensive ones they put in small town papers!
