Thank you Steve so very much and Wanda for the alert IT IS TUESDAY TV NIGHT!
I'll touch base with all of you later

Ya know I love ya Sharon and I hope
your boo boos heal soon!

(((hugs to all))) ♥

Hidey worries me being so stuck to the 2:00 position!

Costume Lady said...

Hey Lynn, I once wanted to save my Lilly of the Valleys for Mothers Day and put a cover over them (don't remember what it was..maybe newspaper) and it delayed their bloom til Mothers Day. Have to do it when the buds are not showing white yet.

Costume Lady said...

I think Hidey is depressed. Needs a companion:(

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Sharon...all kidding aside, I hope you didn't damage any important parts;)

hedgie said...

Brought over my last posts.....duh, looked back and realized I'd missed you!

Blowing like crazy here and getting very gray...think maybe a storm is brewing!

Mine, too, Dana! I have "parfum" that is Lily-of-the-Valley: Muguet des bois--by Coty.....love it!!!

hedgie said...

The white IS already showing, Wanda....maybe the cooler days tomorrow and Th. will help....Friday is MAY DAY!!

paula eagleholic said...

Was stuck on the old thread!!

Parent was just in nest...quiet entrance and exit!

paula eagleholic said...

Hidey is just waiting for all those feathers to grow in some more, so he can practice more wingersizes! You have to remember he's still a growing eaglet, and needs his food and rest!

Mits said...

thanks, Wanda and Steve

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Thanks Steve!

I love you too Jo! I am using Band-Aids. Are they what makes boo boos heal fast?

Mits said...

no Sharon put some hydrogen peroxide on your boo-boos....then you wil remember never to pick up something that heavy for a few years.

ceil said...

Both Lib and Belle in the nest. Belle was trying to move one of the large sticks to the other side.Wind really starting to pick up.

ceil said...

Both parents gone again.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Sissy put the peroxide on there and it set me on fire. Then she put Band-Aid brand Hurt-Free antiseptic solution. They lie. It is not Hurt-Free. It set me on fire again!

ceil said...

Going to call it a night. Pleasant dreams all.

hedgie said...

Poor Shurnlea....I feel your pain.

hedgie said...

G'night, Ceil! See you tomorrow!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, I am fixing to call it a night myself. See ya in the morning!

hedgie said...

Posted my pics of redbud (a little blurry due to breeze) and dogwood on my blog. Being in the woods, everything grows up-up-up so nothing low enough to get a shot INTO a blossom....maybe I should get out the ladder!!!

hedgie said...

Night-night, Sharon.....can you take an NSAID? If so, you probably should and put ice on those legs!

hedgie said...

Oh....hoping you DO get some rest and wake up feeling better!

Mits said...

NO!!!!!! Lynn no ladders.....lol....what is the matter with everyone...get a little sunshine and everyone goes wacko:)

Taking a commercial break - SO MAD!
Hate when I am watching a show and the very end says "TO BE CONTINUED" NCIS

So now I am going to watch the Metalist!
Better not be continued......
Came out to get my 1/2 cup of sugar free Blue Bunny ice cream.

I bet that DEB is having a blast with her Osprey friends. And I bet they will be disappointed not having her this full season.

HAPPY to see adult with Hidey and pushed her into the middle of the nest.
Should have rain tomorrow morning!

BBL

Mits said...

oh Jo, I knew it was a 2 parter...hubby and I usually watch it together, but he has opted for the hockey game tonight

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like Belle keping Hidey company for awhile tonight....he looks like a little flatlet...

paula eagleholic said...

Gnite - Ceil and Sharon.

hedgie said...

Jo and Mits....remember when we said that that really bad guy would resurface on Criminal Minds??.....hmmmmm.....saw previews....5 new episodes....sounds like leading up to a great season finale!!!

Bee-You-Tee-Full flower photos, Lynn,
Keep 'em coming! Like the new avatar too, and also Paula's -
and I bet there are some other new ones on here. See we had a visit from Dana -
and thanks for the alert on the uninvited emails...zapped 'em.

Wow lots of comments to read and I only just did a little speed-reading. Came home and planted my Megan Flowers into my flower boxes...then the wind picked up :(
but I KNOW they will survive.

I'll come back and be more polite in a little while, I need to get cleaned up
xo ☺

Lolly said...

Hi all! Have one eye on the TV. Watched Idol and now watching Dancing W T S. Took a while to catch up.

SHARON!!!! But, understand perfectly well about the need and desire to take care of things yourself! Same goes for Gee Gee. It is so hard to ask folks to do things for you. Bless her!

JO..so glad to hear your report. Now, don't break another bone chasing down Sharon with your cane!

Mits said...

cool, Lynn, probably will be delayed tomorrow night beccause BO will be on at 8

paula eagleholic said...

Margy - what kind of flowers did you get from our Floralgirl?

Lolly said...

Oh yes, thanks for the email from Suz alert. Zapped it! Knew it wasn't from her....,it did not sound like her.

Finally got around to scrubbing the kitchen, dusting and picking up. House in order once again. Wonder how long that will last?!

hedgie said...

I watched IDOL and now DWTS, too, Lolly. Taping the CBS line-up...but think I'll hit the sofa and watch Without a Trace at 10 in real-time.

deb said...

I am home from dinner, we had a nice visit. The people that I met were other volunteers that had spent the summer in AZ. They were freezing tonight, still on AZ climate, not used to cool and windy SD.

deb said...

I just read where Lolly thought I was sweating from mowing. I wore my coat, Lolly, definitely not sweating!

paula eagleholic said...

Is Obama gonna be on TV AGAIN???

Glad there's nothing I was gonna watch!

deb said...

Now I read about Sharon and Gee Gee, You all need to be careful!

deb said...

I am all caught up, although I just skimmed. You all talked too much today. E-mail is done too. I see Belle is spending the night tonight.

hedgie said...

Thanks, Margy, for your kind words, but I have a long way to go to even try to compete w/ so many others talents!

deb said...

Two light poles like the ones Lolly told us about fell on a field here in SD in October. No one was around, luckily. They were made by the same company and, so far they have found 6 other poles that have fallen in the US. No wonder they didn't want to wait to let the Red-tailed Hawks fledge.

hedgie said...

Thanks, Deb, for your compliments, too!!! You are both too kind.

hedgie said...

Bet that pole company won't be in business much longer...if they still are presently.....very fortunate that no one has been injured. Hope the new(er) NFL stadiums have all checked theirs, as well as colleges and other high schools.

magpie said...

Okay now I must return to the old thread to finish up, I saw the Sharon Boo Boo report, need to go see what's up with Gee Gee and everyone else. I read the sad news about little Dex....one of the two dogs at the creek Saturday was blind, both eyes...but was clearly well-loved as I know Dex is.

Paula I got six marigold plants that might grow as tall as me, six snapdragons, and one Salvia. If the neighborhood cats and squirrel don't mess with my flower boxes, things should be OK ☺

I'm going back to read, if I don't make it back in time, Good Night to those finding the pillows ahead of me. xo

deb said...

I love looking at pictures, the more the better! Yes, Lynn, they are lucky no one has been hurt. These poles were on a college field, good thing it wasn't a game day when they fell.

magpie said...

Lynn
You are doing swell!
Everyone brings their own uniqueness to this here Blog!

magpie said...

and PS, Lynn...you better get some pictures of those Lilies of the Valley!

Mits said...

good night everyone:)

hedgie said...

Most definitely will do that, Margy!

deb said...

I was sorry to read about Dex, too, but I do know from experience that dogs adjust faster than we do. Glo, you will learn little tricks, too. We still go for walks, I just had to learn to look ahead and avoid obstacles. After bumping into things a few times a walk, we've got it down to hardly ever bumping into anything.

Costume Lady said...

Hey, Deb...good to see you. Did you do anything interesting at work today?

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, I love this time of the year when the Red Bud and Dogwood are blooming. What is that pretty little blue flower that you posted?

ajsmolski said...

I'm new to the cam & blog; caught some wingersizes earlier today. There's an adult in the nest now-which one?

deb said...

Welcome, ajsmolski! That is probably Belle on the nest now. The female usually spends the night in the nest with the eaglets. Belle is the female and the larger of the two adults. Liberty, the male, is probably in the tree above the nest for the night. There have been a few nights where the eaglet has spent the night alone already.

deb said...

Not too much yet, Wanda. We have been doing a lot of computer training on how to use all the sites available.

magpie said...

Wanda - -
I hope GeeGee feels better in the morning. I think most of us gals know that old self-sufficiency routine. One winter I was trying to help shovel out the driveway after a BIG snowstorm, but I was on my knees using a little hand shovel, it was very slow going, but I felt I had to do something ! When my 91 yoa shopping gal pal wants to get a 24-pack of bottled water, I find a nice strong guy to load it into the car, then at her place, I slice open the pack and take six in at a time! Have learned a few lifting tricks over the years and the rest just does not get done!

ajsmolski said...

Thanks for the answer deb!

deb said...

You're welcome. If you have any more, make sure and ask. We tend to use a lot of abbreviations and often forget that not everyone knows what they are, so jump right in and ask!

magpie said...

Phooey! the NIGHT BANDIT has struck!

Good to catch up on the news, glad to see Dana is back on track, Jo got a good Doctor's report, and it's always fun to hear of everyone's adventures, and
Welcome and Hello to all our new visitors...Keep Coming Back !

Indigo buntings hang out at Swinging Bridge, I will holler when I see the first one!

Good Night, friends, I hope restful sleep is a real deal tonight
xo ☺ ♥ God Bless Us, Every One

Costume Lady said...

Don't just holler, Margy, take a picture of it. Love your search for wildflowers. I use to love to hunt for wildflowers amd mushrooms in the Spring. Not a lot of places to do that anymore:(

Lolly said...

Hi Deb! Yes, it has been in the papers about all the light poles with cracks. A friend of ours told us he had been following the story closely and they had tried to talk them into leaving the hawks until they fledged. But, they were convinced that it was NOT safe.

Costume Lady said...

Love that we are getting so many new viewers.
Bedtime here...

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

deb said...

It sounds like they were right, Lolly, about getting the poles down right away. Too bad it had to affect the Red-tail nest.

I have had a long day, time to read for awhile. Night, everyone.

Mema Jo said...

I have returned to check on Hidey and all the last 50 comments or so. I see an adult with Hidey - windy - Spidey's web.

Lolly said...

I have gone too Finney's, plan on catching the ferry before saying good night. Osprey on nest.

Wanda, I don't know what the blue flower is....I know it came from seeds, but so long ago I don't remember!! Bet Megan or Margy knows, tho'!

Lolly said...

Nite all!

Sweet dreams!

Ms Bookworm said...

Good evening! Is anyone still there? I've been pretty busy today, and really am missing everyone! Good to see that Belle is staying with Hidey tonight. Sounds like it's really windy, and I'm happy to see the young-un closer to the center of the nest! All's well here with the hummer nest. Last we looked, momma was settling in for the night. I hope the wind will die down soon so I have a chance at a picture or two! I would love to know whether she's got any eggs yet, but it's too high to peek in-- even from the bedroom window! So glad to hear the good report from Mema Jo! Sharon, so sorry about the major boo boo! I always keep Neosporin Plus on hand. It has anesthetic in it, and although it might sting a bit right at first, it works really well on owies! Hope it's much better tomorrow. Well, gotta look for job listing alerts again, and try to get some sleep. I am getting caught up pretty well now. I'll be online for awhile, so will keep checking on Hidey. Take care, all, and TTFN. :o]

hedgie said...

Shoot, Lolly, I missed the boat!!! Wish we could be on it! Do you realize that they are down now to only about 4 hrs. of real darkness there??
G'nite Margy, Jo, Wanda, Deb. Hope you all have a very good sleep.
Wind has died down alot and temp is very nice. Looking forward to some normal temps tomorrow! A little rain would help....storm nearby not here yet--if it comes at all.
Heading for tub. Will check back b/4 bed.

hedgie said...

Good night, Lolly and hi,Andrea! Good luck with your job search...what is your field of expertise? I'll be back in a bit...

Ms Bookworm said...

Hello, everybody, it must be about 11:45 pm back there; I checked on Hidey to find her awake and busy preening her feathers. Now she's going back to sleep with her head tucked under her wing. Belle slept through it all. Will check again later.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Hedgie, my last job was doing legal advertising for the biggest newspaper in our county. Was there 11 1/2 years. There's not been anything available in that same field in the last 14 months. Did apply for a job listing at the County Clerk Recorder's office, but couple days later got an e-mail from them saying 'thanks', but they were pulling the job listing. Couple days after that, the listing reappeared, but now ONLY available for those who had been laid off by the County. Rats! It would've been perfect. :o[

Ms Bookworm said...

Belle woke up for a second to scratch an itchy foot; back to sleep again...

hedgie said...

I'm back, Andrea. That's a shame about that job...one of those "inside job" thingies, huh? Unfair! They obviously got told to keep it inhouse, for all intents and purposes...don't pay unemployment to a government worker if there is a job opening...probably didn't even matter whether they were qualified or not! C'est la vie---the right thing is out there just waiting for you! Keep looking! Deb found a job that she will probably like, so there ARE jobs, despite the economic situation.

hedgie said...

BTW, Andrea, if you would be interested in being on my email list, click on "email me" on my profile and send me a note w/ your email address.
Also, BTW, my BFF from back in college days, lives in Highland, so if I ever make it out there, we'll have to get together, along w/ Jim. Anne Marie (Sacramento) came here last fall for NCTC Open House....she flew to Ohio and then she, her brother and sister-in-law drove the rest of the way. It was so much fun. Lolly and her hubby came from Texas, and Deb from SD---we are just one big happy family. Glad you've found us!

Carol said...

Hello everyone, although most of you are probably in sleepyland... I worked all day and was in class all night. First time I went through "eaglet withdrawal". Of course husband still thinks I've lost it now, especially since having 200 plus emails!!! Can't check them all, so deleted and skimmed the blog. Glad to see our Hidey front and center rather than at 2:00. Also glad to see mom there. Gonna have to attend an EA meeting soon... Carol in NJ

Ms Bookworm said...

...Checking back-- thought I heard Hidey peeping. She's 'spreadeagled' (LOL) in the middle of the nest. Belle's awake, so I'm pretty sure Hidey did wake her up. Looks like Hidey's going back to sleep. Belle's keeping an eye on her, so all's well.

hedgie said...

Hi, Carol. You've had a long day. You will have plenty of company at EA!!!

hedgie said...

I'm turning in now. Good night to all my fowl friends! Prayers and peace.

I think the adult is with Hidey to tent in case of rain tonight, but as of now they are happily snoozing away in separate areas, Hidey sprawled out more or less in the middle of the nest and the adult standing/sleeping at about 2 o'clock.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Hedgie, thanks so much for the encouraging words! You're right-- I'm sure that the next job I'm supposed to have is waiting for me out there. Just have to keep looking. I'd love to be on your e-mail list; will send a note in the morning. It would be fun to get together! Sure am glad I found you guys. I really miss all my buddies at, and connected with my last job. Can't call them at work very often because they're SOOOOOOOOOO busy, and on the phone constantly, and every call is being recorded.
Don't want to get them in trouble!...Say, Lolly, my daughter and her family are in Aubrey, TX! Our nephew Ryan and his family are in Denton, TX, too. It's a small world, isn't it? Carol, I know what you mean. My Hubby was asking what's up with the e-mail lately, too. Had 137 new ones this morning, and many more since then!
Wouldn't change it for the world, though. I'm jonesing for the eagle cam lately too. Been so busy I haven't been able to watch as much. Will check back in a while tonight, though. I'm editing a photo album, so can keep looking. Good night, Hedgie and Jim! Take care.... :o]

Ms Bookworm said...

Gosh, I just noticed it's nearly
11:30 pm here! Checked on Hidey, and see she's alone in the nest now. Belle must've gone up in the tree. Hidey's sleeping peacefully, though. Say, that sounds like a good idea! I'd better head off to dreamland myself. Catch up with you all in the AM. 'Night! :o]
