Margy that looks like the "mineral salt lick" they are brown where the regular salt lick is white.
Rabbits, squirrels, dear, birds, all animals love the brown mineral salt lick. That is what we always use for the deer.

Margy you can buy the brown salt licks at Southern States. We use to buy it from Farm & Fleet. Boltz's might have them. Not that much more than the regular salt lick but a lot better.
DANA - I'd love to have a patch of ground on which to place a salt lick! I might see if my grandson and his DAD are interested, they have some ground up in Morgan County! Thanks for the tip.
Someday, maybe I will have some land! Used to have almost one acre right in the Town of Hedgesville but had to give it up...

I had to laugh at the remark about taking magazines from the doctors office. I take magazines from the doctors and hospital, and beauty parlor. I usually ask first, but sometimes there is no one to ask...so away I go! LOL

The brown deer licks are made w/ molasses in them, I think, so they are a sweet treat!!
Learned something new and interesting from Jeopardy. Echinacea is from the Greek word for Hedgehog!! So guess that means that the little spiny hogs hid out in the echinacea hedges. LOL!!!!

Jo, Moms rehab is closer to her home, which is what she wanted...but it seems very good, well rated, good references, got a good personal reference, and her Doc visits there too. She'll be surprised at the 2 hours per day of rehab!! She'd gonna kill me then :):)

But there is an update on that site for the other eagles in their care.

Margy - we think the WW ospreys have migrated. Monday was the last sighting and there had only been one around the nest before that.
Okay, Mema...thanks..I probably hit that cam 50 times tonight hoping for one last view, but we have had some good screen grabs of their final trips to the nest...where will they go?

Been watching TV----see on news Eastern Shore was getting most of the rain & wind.Helen, gue4ss you battened down the hatches before you left!Showed Chesapeake Beach where my coworker friend lives. They had the tornado hit few months ago. They just had all new siding, screening & windows redone. They were lucky. Just rain here.
ER was a lump in the throat show. From the final one before, I thought Abby was going to be more injured, as it looked like she was close to explosion. I wish Luka would go back there.
Looked at Pix and haven't for awhile & there is somethung w/2 points in back right. Must be tree stump as it didn't move. Thought at first it was a fox!
Time to check Finland.

I'm looking at Pete's Pond ... lot of Guinea Fowl and a Jackal (young one from the way it moves).
The cameraman is panning around the pond, and all of a sudden there's 'Fatty the Croc', and he has a smallish catch ... maybe one of the G. Fowl ... in his mouth. He's holding it under water and kinda chewing it........
Over at Atlanta the baby Panda is alone again, squiggling and wiggling. I don't believe they ever stop moving when they are young like that.

Well, Fatty has downed his Guinea Fowl and looks as happy as Fatty ever looks. There are a couple of geese watching him closely and raising the alarm whenever he moves.

Good Friday morning everyone. I think I'll take today off. lol Beautiful day in Alabama.
Raining here in Bluefield, Red but we really needed it.
We need rain too. I mowed earlier this week and I was covered with dust when I finished. I think we are about 12 inches behind in rainfall this year. Still better than last year
We have been fairly well balanced I think for the summer. Some behind but they say we are going to have a beautiful fall with lots of colors. Been so dry the past few years, it wasn't quite as beautiful as it can be.

Red it was a front that formed off the Carolinas. We need the rain but hope it clears for the weekend. Birthday party for Molly who will turn one year and the Down Syndrome walk on Sunday.

Nice Red. Something for everybody. The rain does not bother me but on Sunday a lot of people will not walk if it is bad. My husband will be one of them.
