I wanted to check on the babies at BW too but can't see anything but spidey's hiney.....
I have company coming in this morning so I didn't sleep so well.
Good grief girlie.....you must work all night long!! I hope you get a nap today! Should I put the grits on and get out the bacon?
LOL, believe it or not I don't usually eat till later, but I'm working on my 2nd sausage snack biscuit. Ate one a sec ago, working on #2 now.
You should see Scotland! They are zooming and tracking the birds as they go. Both were in the nest, male took off and cam followed him. Went way out over the water, came back, and landed on the Mrs and mated! Good grief, talk about a landing! Poor girl. Now she's on a branch by the nest.
Osprey in the house in Finland too, just keeping an eye out.
I had to minimize ol spidey. Not really good viewing at BWE right at the moment!!!
But thanks for the offer of breakfast! Who knows, maybe one of these days you'll see the eagle express pull into your driveway!

OH...I am so glad that you turned me on to Scotland. That is one cool site! I don't know what kind of camera they are using but it sure is a good one. And you get such a good stream too...
Oh, Spidey is almost gone! But at least you can see parent and babies at BWE, now!

Glad you like Scotland, isn't that just the coolest nest? Beautiful views too. Are you watching the Finland osprey nest too? The nest we're watching now failed last year, so I hope they're successful this year. There is also another Finland osprey nest, they had the most beautiful fledge from there last year! We called him Finney. Parents had 2 chicks, one didn't make it and was removed from the nest. We watched them oncam. And you can see moose and other animals strolling in the background of that nest, really awesome site! Not on yet this year, so their ospreys may not be back yet, or just coming back.
But ya know....the eagle express.....that would be a WELCOME sight!!
My son saw an eagle at mah momma's house just the other day. I could NOT believe it ....as many times as I have been over there.....looking in the sky....as always....and HE gets to see the eagle! (Hmm....that sounded like a spoiled chile..hehe)She lives on a lake...next time I will take mah good 'nocs...
Golly Suzanne...I need your job! One that pays me to watch birds!! My brother LOL said that I should be committed because I am so bird crazy ..I told him fine...as long as there were some birds for me to look at...LOL
I hope she has a snack....
Oh cool! Well, for your son, it was. At least you know for sure the eagles are around. Maybe there is a nest there, and you can watch for babies.
Wanda and Capt Eagle (Gene) have a travel vehicle they call the Eagle Express. Very cool. Had banners posted and put on the sides and front for the last NCTC open house. Let the world know, ya know?
BWE visible, and they are zooming in Scotland. Uh oh, BWE going in shadow, I may have spoken too soon.
LOL, Athenaa, that sounds like a dream job. They sure don't pay me to watch birds, but I have the cams up while I can work, so that helps. Just crazy hours, but the job really isn't bad. But if you find a job that will pay you to watch birds, please let me know; I'll apply too!

Yeah, love that water! These osprey sure know how to pick the places for their nests! They get the most fantastic views!!! LOL, mom grooming, and swishing that tail!
And they can get such a clear closeup while she preens.....you can see EACH feather even.....cool...
Belle just woke up and looked around, and put her head back under wing. BW parent is also awake, but standing there. She'll leave in a half hour and won't see her again till hours later. Wish they would come in and feed the kids like our great parents do! Finland osprey took off, but now he's back.
Are you going to try and get some sleep before company arrives?
I know what you mean about the BW eagle....she stays gone a long time. I think the babies are not growing like they should either...the babies here look bigger and I believe they are younger.
HAH....no nap...they will be here at 8:30AM they will drop off my mother in law and they will head to the golf course. My sweet hubby will head to work...sniffle...I should go with him.
Did you see the pic of both parents at the BW nest? That male looks VERY small...I can only think that he is quite young.

LOL, too funny. Well, maybe you can be his secretary for a day or something. Are your in-laws playing golf? In the masters? Might want to get some lessons if you're interested. Then again, maybe not.

Morning all:) Think spidey has moved off the lens at BWE, I can see the parent and chicks. Our nest is nice and quiet, everyone is sleeeping quietly.
Morning, Geula. See Athenaa has given you the Scotland link. Morning, Megan. Yup, spidey is gone, only a shadow of his legs on the left, but you can see the babies. They were just doing wing stretches, mom was watching. How cool.

I was just outside, it is EXTREMELY foggy out now. Fog was above the cars and some building when I came in. It has now fallen, and it's very thick on the ground. Be careful driving.
Belle is awake, but think the kids are still sleeping.
Chicka are up and there is a major pecking battle going on, not sure who started it.
Don't know what happened, lost Scotland! Just a black screen. Bummer! Well dang, just lost our cam too, another black screen. Hope this isn't contagious!!!
Parent is gone at BWE. Belle is up and looking around.
Parent just returned at BWE. That's like HOURS earlier than she usually returns! Think she has food, even. Chicks moved over to her. Now I wonder if she's actually going to feed them.

Yeah, tiny is doing good, in fact, I'm pretty sure he started the battle that broke out before breakfast. Parent flew out of nest.

It sounds as if we had a few more hatchings at other nests. How excciting.
Last night when I looked in, I saw a parent on our nest and one on BWE and was glad to see she might be spending the night with her chicks. Hope they are being fed.
Well I just wanted to let you know that I haven't given up on the blog and you wonderful ladies. I miss very much being a regular, but summer is near and by then we should have our house all fixed for the point we want to be at this year.

No view of the nest again this morning. I have only had 3 or 4 days of a few hours each of Live Feed since I go back from my trip.
It seems I get it less than anyone....could it have something to do with living so close to the nest? Just coincidence I guess.
Hello Wanda and Candy. Just something weird with the feed, Wanda. How are you trying to get the live feed up and what message do you get? Or does your real player just keep saying loading....

Megan, it just keeps loading, loading, loading. It is really frustrating, as you all know. My heart sinks down into my tummy and I get depressed. Bad way to start the day!

Turkeys are starting to pick through the leaves in PA, but pic comes and goes this morning. Beautiful falcon on her 5 eggs, looking at cam this morning. Cool. Still can't get Scotland again. Darn.
I know Wanda, we've all been there. We need to figure out who is having problems this am, and then we can send Steve an email letting him know what everyone is experiencing. They are still trying to figure this out, I guess.

Wanda, I wish I could help you! I don't even get live feed, so don't know what to tell you. I just have the 30 sec cam, which is working most of the time, so I'm happy. Sometimes it now goes to 1 minute refreshes, but way better than the 3 minutes it was doing!
Our chicks had some leftovers this morning for breakfast, and believe it or not, BW parent brought in some food and fed the chicks a little. Parent has been eating the rest of it, and the poor babies are sitting there watching her. Wish she would give them a bite every once in a while!
Chicks are resting quietly, looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here, warm and sunny:)
Oh, one of the BW chicks is stealing a bite. Good for her!!!
