Belle is awake again, WE chick got a little hole making help, but is working on getting out of that egg! Come back again sea eagles!

deb said...

Something keeps waking Belle up, she watches for a while then goes back to sleep. She doesn't get defensive like we have seen her do before, just watchful.

Belle is back asleep. I am headed off, too. Hope you make it in, Suzanne!

Good morning, world. Actually got up this morning! My alarm didn't go off yesterday and I woke up at 4:25! Waaaaayyy to late to attempt to get in here, I would have been in traffic for 3 hours at that time of day. Was going to call Jo about 10:30, but then I got busy and forgot till about 5. Bit too late, then. Missed talking to you guys, and missed our eaglets! They sure are getting big! Belle has her head under her wings, and I can see 2 babies around her in the front. BW kids are really getting dark, and they're both sleeping alone. They're getting big too, I'm glad to see. Finland is MT at the moment, so guess we don't have any eggs yet. Beautiful day over there, sun's out and no fog.
Have to go open some more cams. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly! Oh, chilly out, had to bring in my tomato plants. Was 38° in PA, due to get down to 32. It's 44° here. Warmer later in the week, tho. Hope so!

Osprey has arrived in Finland. Female, just standing there. Can't get Scotland this morning, just a blue screen. But read where we have a 2nd egg from Wonder Woman Osprey! Can't get NBG either, black screen there. Bummer. Belle and kids still sleeping, as are both BW kids.

GOOD MORNING, SUZ.

Glad you could make it in today. I am up late tonight after fiddling around with the aftermath of my weekend Turbo Tax session and then taking a couple of mailings to the Post Office.

Get yours all done??

Well poof, osprey gone in Finland.

movin said...

Pete's Pond's cams are working again, and I've been watching a troop of baboons with a lot of small young resting and playing at that site.

Haven't watched continuously, but I haven't seen Fatty the Crocodile since they came back on line.

Oh, Jackdaws are in the nest, cam2, finland. Well, they were. Maybe they'll be back.

Suzanne said...

Wow, good morning, Jim. Yup, taxes filed, refund in bank. File electronically, get my refund in about 8 days directly to my bank.
Not much activity going on this morning, local (Stateside) kids are all sleeping, and not having much luck overseas at the moment. Germany is zoomed in on the storks, and we have a 2nd osprey egg in Scotland, but can't get cam this morning. Finland has been mostly MT.

movin said...

No Fatty the Croc at Pete's, but I did see a largish Water Monitor sprinting between two stands of trees..

Suzanne said...

Jim, what is a Water Monitor?

movin said...

Good to talk to you again, Suzanne, but I think I should try to get some shut-eye.

Maybe I'll catch you later in the A.M. Drive safely and enjoy your day with the cats, hawks, plants and shopping. ;~)))

Suzanne said...

LOL, thanks, Jim. You have a good day too. Hope you sleep well! Pleasant dreams.

movin said...

Monitor and Iguana are the only two types of "large lizard" in the world.

I think the largest Monitor type is the Kimodo Dragon, and they go down to maybe a couple of feet in length.

The Water Monitor is one that hangs around rivers and ponds... about 6-7 feet, including a long tail.

You should bookmark Wikipedia.com. I know they have some good pictures of this one.

Talk to you later, Suz.

Oh cool, thanks, Jim. Sleep tight!

Belle is finally waking up. Stretching wings. The BW kids are still sleeping. Maine is MT and has been all morning. Guess they're not gonna get any eggs there this year. Darn. Just got Scotland up! One of the parents on eggs, but facing the other direction, so don't know if it's mom or dad. Belle decided since the kids were still sleeping, she was going to go back to sleep. Head back under wing. Finland still MT, and except for that short osprey visit, has been MT all morning.

Suzanne said...

Our kids are sleeping alone, BW kids are still alone, and boy are they getting dark! Our wonder woman is on her eggs in Scotland, they are zoomed in on her and she's facing the cam. We have an osprey visitor in the BWO nest, but Finland is MT. We have 2 stork eggs, she got up a little while ago to show us. Lady falcon in PA on her 5 eggs, and the deer are on cam in PA.

Suzanne said...

OMG, think our Wonder Woman broke an egg! She was just up, one is whole, but one looks in pieces, and she's cleaning up and eating something. Well just darn! But I want to get a better look, hope it's not broken, just the way it looked in the moss.

Morning Suz- glad to see you back:) cold morning here, 29°, with a light frost. Live feed is still working for me right now, chicks are snuggled up in the nest cup area together.

Suzanne said...

Morning, Megan. Was outside a little while ago, it's a whole lot colder than it was when I came in! Bought some tomato plants, and brought them in last night. Brrrr. Those babies have been snuggling all morning, it's cold out there!

Suzanne said...

OH, glad you have live feed!!!!

Suzanne said...

Ok, Scotland switch. They must have seen pieces too, they zoomed in really close! BOTH EGGS ARE INTACT! Male came in and started moving sticks, female got off the eggs, and there she goes, just flew off over his head. But both eggs are fine. Phew. He's pulling the moss out from where she had it. Now guess doing egg roll and getting settled. I'm so glad both eggs were fine.

Suzanne said...

Finally, a 2nd osprey has arrived in BWO.

Suzanne said...

It must really be cold out, neither our kids or BW are awake yet. They are really sleeping in this morning. Or my cam isn't updating, one or the other.
