I think is was Paula ... and Delphia ... who penetrated the inner sanctum of the blog at Pete's (I tried and found nothing), and they were telling about the cams both being down for repairs.
Has anyone been able to fathom how long the things are expected to be down??
Meanwhile, Afrocam is still functional. I watched it a while yesterday... very small water hole, few animals yesterday.

Barton Cove eagle covering the egg cup. I wonder if she is just keeping it dry or if she is going to be earlier this year on egg laying, too. Of course, it could be the male eagle on there?

Radar looks like it isn't raining at the nest but if it is raining at Wanda's, I would think it was raining at the nest. Maybe hasn't gotten there yet.

Judy, on the Maine forum says the first egg at Barton Cove was on Feb. 28, the site picture shows March 3, but that could just be the first picture they had. Whoever is on the nest isn't moving much.
I've spent the last 45 minutes reading through all the comments since 5:30 pm yesterday. Wow!
Paula, I found that article about Limuw, it is right below the picture. DUH. I think the other night the writing wasn't coming up on my computer. (I'll stick with that story anyway)

4.2 million people without power in FL. Storm moving off the coast. Hope Iris isn't on the road anywhere. People aren't stopping at the intersections where they lights are out. DUH>

Seriously the power was off here for over an hour and of course we couldn't find out why. Forgot we have an emergency radio...not hurricane season so we left it packed with the "essentials"
A power outage of that duration is kind of rare down here actually...should have realized it might be storm related.

Hi Jill, Port St. Lucie is about 70 miles north of Boca Raton and Boca is about 45 miles north of Miami. So they should be OK for now. We do have a cold front moving in late tonight and all of tomorrow, out temps will drop down into the 40's by tomorrow night. We are also supposed to get high winds coming from the west/northwest...
My Tesoro has been good...nice and sunny all day there today...some nice puffy clouds too

Eagle just left the nest in Barton Cove.
I still see the Barton's Cove eagle in the nest - quite snow covered but is keeping the egg well dry even though I think it is an empty egg well.
Rats - no egg, thought she might be laying one at BC
WOW Deb I looked again to be sure & I must have been blinded by the snow! What I am seeing is the dry brown empty egg well itself!

I reopened Tesoro and it is working fine right now for me.
Hi, eagle lovers! Checking in for a few minutes. Working on Payroll today. We get paid once a month, at the end of the month. Got everything enterd, except for one employee's time. He lives in Illinois and isn't answering my phone calls and email messages. Wet and cloudy here. May get some snow tonight and tomorrow, along with some wind. There was a piliated (sp?) woodpecker in my backyard this morning, drilling away at a fence post. I saw the post the other day and figured that a woodpecker had been working on it. It was cool watching him this AM.

Could that baked potato have been a duck. Earlier it looked like a duck head to the right, now it looks like a leg on the top left. Or maybe I just need sleep and glasses.

Blowing it up didn't help identify it. BWE is eating in the nest again. I wonder if it was delivered since they were both there a little while ago.

The "head and neck" looked like a duck. But it was small. I have seen some duck around the quarry the last couple of day.

No egg in Barton Cove, the eagle just moved.

I am having a tough time with that cam today...keeps buffering and going off...I'm sure the snow isn't helping...wonder when that egg will pop out?

I gave up on the BC nest, it got too dark. I wonder if one of the snow clumps I saw when she got up, could have been an egg. I just watched the PH eagle turn the egg and it looked just like the BC eagle, when I said it is digging around. Maybe we will know in the morning?? The eagle was still tenting when I shut it down.
NBG eagle was in nest, flew off and now they are both together on a branch in another tree.
