I think is was Paula ... and Delphia ... who penetrated the inner sanctum of the blog at Pete's (I tried and found nothing), and they were telling about the cams both being down for repairs.
Has anyone been able to fathom how long the things are expected to be down??
Meanwhile, Afrocam is still functional. I watched it a while yesterday... very small water hole, few animals yesterday.
JO---Have you checked the ATLANTA BEAUTY!!---I don't see her now--but she was on this a.m.---Read her update---WEANING going on & LUN LUN wasn't in the mood to play---She grabbed her & nipped at her!!---
I wasn't able to get the wildlife up this am either - but I wasn't going to tell you and Deb lol Right now LunLun & ButaButa are into the bamboo. Just read the past few days update. I know she'll be ok on her own - but I remember the heart break when Tai was put on his own. They are tough little ones!
Barton Cove eagle covering the egg cup. I wonder if she is just keeping it dry or if she is going to be earlier this year on egg laying, too. Of course, it could be the male eagle on there?
Radar looks like it isn't raining at the nest but if it is raining at Wanda's, I would think it was raining at the nest. Maybe hasn't gotten there yet.
Judy, on the Maine forum says the first egg at Barton Cove was on Feb. 28, the site picture shows March 3, but that could just be the first picture they had. Whoever is on the nest isn't moving much.
Paula, I found that article about Limuw, it is right below the picture. DUH. I think the other night the writing wasn't coming up on my computer. (I'll stick with that story anyway)
I knew I had seen it and I knew what you sent wasn't exactly what I had seen but I couldn't find it the other night. Maybe tis time to get my eyes checked. LOL
4.2 million people without power in FL. Storm moving off the coast. Hope Iris isn't on the road anywhere. People aren't stopping at the intersections where they lights are out. DUH>
I am here but did not know what was going on...Thanks for the heads up!!! We thought maybe we forgot to pay our Elec. bill (grin)
Seriously the power was off here for over an hour and of course we couldn't find out why. Forgot we have an emergency radio...not hurricane season so we left it packed with the "essentials"
A power outage of that duration is kind of rare down here actually...should have realized it might be storm related.
Hi Jill, Port St. Lucie is about 70 miles north of Boca Raton and Boca is about 45 miles north of Miami. So they should be OK for now. We do have a cold front moving in late tonight and all of tomorrow, out temps will drop down into the 40's by tomorrow night. We are also supposed to get high winds coming from the west/northwest...
Nowcast as of 2:49 PM EST on February 26, 2008 Now Through 5 PM...scattered showers with isolated thunder will continue to develop across east central Florida. They will move rapidly east at around 40 mph and can produce winds up to 40 mph...deadly cloud to ground lightning...and rainfall up to a half an inch.
Hi ya'll! Hello to all the new people today. Just now having time to check in and see Belle. Looks like all is well, but still am not sure what she had for lunch??? I agree, looks like a baked potato. Maybe she ordered take out??!!! HAHAHAHA.
Hi, eagle lovers! Checking in for a few minutes. Working on Payroll today. We get paid once a month, at the end of the month. Got everything enterd, except for one employee's time. He lives in Illinois and isn't answering my phone calls and email messages. Wet and cloudy here. May get some snow tonight and tomorrow, along with some wind. There was a piliated (sp?) woodpecker in my backyard this morning, drilling away at a fence post. I saw the post the other day and figured that a woodpecker had been working on it. It was cool watching him this AM.
Don't ya love it when you are talking to yourself Deb. LOL. I have been checking in and out, doing other things too. Keep talking the updates are great.
Could that baked potato have been a duck. Earlier it looked like a duck head to the right, now it looks like a leg on the top left. Or maybe I just need sleep and glasses.
Meant to mention it yesterday but kept forgetting. Hopefully this year I will get down there when you are there. Last year I just missed you a couple of times.
I gave up on the BC nest, it got too dark. I wonder if one of the snow clumps I saw when she got up, could have been an egg. I just watched the PH eagle turn the egg and it looked just like the BC eagle, when I said it is digging around. Maybe we will know in the morning?? The eagle was still tenting when I shut it down.

BIG TURKEY on PA wildlife site
A pair as far as I can see. They are really huge wild turkeys.
We will hopefully get a good viewing of the Tesoro banding. Karenincali this would be great for your children to observe.
NORMA
You were #1 on the oldest-older
and again
You are #1 on the newer-newest
You can't beat that!
Whole gang is at Tesoro
Pretty snow in BC
Sure would be nice if they move that stick right in the middle at Tesoro...

They are tough little ones!
I couldn't open it either!! I wonder if it isn't open 24 hours anymore?
Panda nap time at the DC zoo.
WOW Look at the Flamingos
Different view!
I think our cam is frozen...It is raining and Belle isn't tenting.
Going to leave again for just a few
Don't want any accusations while I
am gone. lol
Here is an article on the NBG eagles from yesterday.
NBG eagles
Our cam is frozen.
The clock wasn't moving, but it just changed.
I thought it must be, Sharon. It is raining here and she isn't tenting.
Going again.
She is moving.
Or is that Lib??
Barton Cove eagle covering the egg cup. I wonder if she is just keeping it dry or if she is going to be earlier this year on egg laying, too. Of course, it could be the male eagle on there?
Just came in from work. It is pouring here now.
Thanks Deb - Joe wrote a very good article. I liked the "Seven Year Itch" and the anthropomorphizing, (People-izing) the happenings!
Radar looks like it isn't raining at the nest but if it is raining at Wanda's, I would think it was raining at the nest. Maybe hasn't gotten there yet.
It's really foggy here in the valley
It has been raining off & on. I guess the downpour is about to happen..
It is raining cats and dogs here!
Jill, thought I'd tell you that we got excused from court. If you'd like to join the circus, you can stand in for us.
Thanks Wanda, but I have my own little circus at city. LOL Glad you were able to work it out tho.
Anyboyd seen Iris lately? There is a massive power outage in and around Miami. And a possible tornado warning in Broward County.
Hello all!
Hello Cheryl!!
Hey Cheryl.
Judy, on the Maine forum says the first egg at Barton Cove was on Feb. 28, the site picture shows March 3, but that could just be the first picture they had. Whoever is on the nest isn't moving much.
I've spent the last 45 minutes reading through all the comments since 5:30 pm yesterday. Wow!
Paula, I found that article about Limuw, it is right below the picture. DUH. I think the other night the writing wasn't coming up on my computer. (I'll stick with that story anyway)
If you think that is bad Cheryl, you should see when we all get together. LOL
Can somebody look at the West End nest and tell what that is in the middle? Is it lunch? OR a bird?
TAKE COVER IRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you found it, Jill.
I knew I had seen it and I knew what you sent wasn't exactly what I had seen but I couldn't find it the other night. Maybe tis time to get my eyes checked. LOL

There has been so much snow and rain since Belle laid her eggs, that the babies will probably have webbed feetsies.
Eagle at Maine.
I keep losing the Tesoro cam, maybe the storm? Or am I the only one having trouble with it?
Last post from Iris was 12:45 talking about Jo and a baked potato. Wonder if that is when the problems started? Or if she went out somewhere.
Jill, do you have any news for us yet?
Where exactly is Tesoro?
I have an appt at 3 today.
GOOD LUCK AND PRAYERS!
Thanks Wanda.
I am here but did not know what was going on...Thanks for the heads up!!! We thought maybe we forgot to pay our Elec. bill (grin)

Wanda, check you email. I think I got the address right. Had to do it from memory.
Thundering in Bluefield right now. Strange weather.
Iris, they don't think the power outage is related to the weather.
We are supposed to have Tstorms tonight or tomorrow. Send them on up Sharon, keeps me from working. LOL
It is in Port St. Lucie, Jill. I will need to check the map to see where that is.
Iris is that near the outage?
Gotta run. Be back after appt. Or a nap. Sometime later. LOL
Eagle is still at BC in the snow....

My Tesoro has been good...nice and sunny all day there today...some nice puffy clouds too
REally breezy at NBG

Forecast for St. Lucie
Thanks, for the weather updates, it must just be my computer for some reason today. I finally turned off the Tesoro cam, I will try again later.
keeper is feeding Mei Xiang a snack
Eagle just left the nest in Barton Cove.
I still see the Barton's Cove eagle in the nest - quite snow covered but is keeping the egg well dry even though I think it is an empty egg well.
Rats - no egg, thought she might be laying one at BC
WOW Deb I looked again to be sure & I must have been blinded by the snow! What I am seeing is the dry brown empty egg well itself!
I really thought it was a snow
covered brown feathered eagle.
Time for me to take a break!!
BBL
Adjusting cam at Tesoro
I was hoping for an egg, too. Darn. Eagle in Maine.
Hi ya'll! Hello to all the new people today. Just now having time to check in and see Belle. Looks like all is well, but still am not sure what she had for lunch??? I agree, looks like a baked potato. Maybe she ordered take out??!!! HAHAHAHA.
I reopened Tesoro and it is working fine right now for me.

Divers coming in.
Eagle back at Barton Cove, settled right into the egg cup.
The eagle looks like she is tenting, now, in BC.
well, time for me to head home. I have CABLE INTERNET NOW---HALLELUJIAH! So, hopefully I will see ya'll tonight.
Love,
Danelle
That's great, Danelle. See you later.
Iris and Wanda you have mail.
Both eagles at NBG,
Zoomed in really close, now, at NBG.
Eagle in the nest left at NBG, still one on the branch.
Don't ya love it when you are talking to yourself Deb. LOL. I have been checking in and out, doing other things too. Keep talking the updates are great.
Lib is back, looking at the tater
Sour cream and butter please, Yum YUm....Belle flew the coop!
Sour cream and butter please, Yum YUm....Belle flew the coop!
Fog really starting to roll in!
Belle went to get the butter and sour cream and some meat to go with the potato.
And maybe some bacon bits and cheese too
Now, I'm not alone. I think that is the male at NBG. There are pictures on the Maine forum to help identify them. Of course, I could be totally wrong!
Both eagles in BWE.
I think you are right Deb. I thought it was the male too.
Ewww
Anyone see him eating that reallly long stringy piece?
Could that baked potato have been a duck. Earlier it looked like a duck head to the right, now it looks like a leg on the top left. Or maybe I just need sleep and glasses.
Maybe the leg I thought I saw was the long stringy piece. EEWW. Intestines?
Blowing it up didn't help identify it. BWE is eating in the nest again. I wonder if it was delivered since they were both there a little while ago.
Haven't seen any feathers being plucked or in the nest....my guess is ?????
Bunny maybe - dark back, light underside.
It also looked like a big ball of rubbery stuff, smooth like...like a big puffed up fish...
I tried blowing up it too, Deb. NO luck...just dots!
Jill, didn't receive mail?
Sure is an odd looking meal or leftovers there...What is that?
That long stringy stuff was there when it was brought in....ya know, I see how you see the duck, Jill. Looking back at the first pic...
HUMMM> I will send it again Iris.
I wish Barton Cove had a light, we are going to lose it pretty soon.
Guess it helps if I send it to you and not me. LOL
DId you guys see this on the NBG eagle cam page?-Special Eagle Cam Event: Join us for a moderated live chat session with biologist Reese Lukei, Thursday, 2/28 at 1:00 pm Eastern. Get your questions about the eagles ready!
The "head and neck" looked like a duck. But it was small. I have seen some duck around the quarry the last couple of day.
Megan, did you see the Journal yesterday? They had an article on Farmer's Markets.
Yep- I saw that, Jill.
Meant to mention it yesterday but kept forgetting. Hopefully this year I will get down there when you are there. Last year I just missed you a couple of times.
Awesome, Megan. Thanks for the heads up - hope I can make it.
No egg in Barton Cove, the eagle just moved.
I know somebody posted the NBG article here earlier but now there is a video. It shows the eggs up close. Here is the link, one line of course.
http://www.wvec.com/video/topvideo-index.html?nvid=221426&shu=1
Got right back on the egg cup and she is digging around.
Now she is tenting.
I am having a tough time with that cam today...keeps buffering and going off...I'm sure the snow isn't helping...wonder when that egg will pop out?
Gotta go...
Egg turning, out nest.
NBG eagle was in nest, flew off and now they are both together on a branch in another tree.
Hello Deb! Hello everyone. I'm home now on my speedy cable internet and LOVIN IT! :)
I'm getting to see the Tereso nest for the first time! How cool!
Danelle, you are going to love the faster speeds
