But what has brought such intense attention to the NBG eagles is the Web cam which streams a video image of the nest around the clock over the Internet. Thousands of online eagle watchers in the U.S. and abroad monitor the progress of the eagles every day. The Eagle Cam has also been widely used as an educational tool in classrooms.

Thanks for the new thread and the information, Steven, I'll let everyone know.
Good morning, everyone, I am going to open cams.
Both eagles were in the nest when I opened the cam, but gone right away.
BOTH EAGLES WERE IN NEST BUT
FOR A MINUTE
It was a fly in & very quickly a
Fly Out!
Both eagles is BWE. It's two eagle morning.
Good morning, Jo.
It was the late morning switch.
Hi Deb - Not raining here but it is in the forecast - no sunshine. I guess the last 2 days were our "Release for Cabin Fever"
At times when I look at our nest, it doesn't look as though our eagles are down on the egg cup and it's like they are standing there... I think it is an illusion
Morning, Deb.
Eagle at BC moving sticks.
I wonder what the distraction is at our nest?
Morning, Paula, both eagles at BC now.
Tesoro chicks must be snoooozing...
Deb - The BC (British Columbia) nest
I can't find it marked in my favorites - will you send it to me?
It is sure noisy at Maine this morning, crows, eagles, clanking and wind!
I thought BC was for Barton Cove, do you have that one?
Hi Jim, Norma, Paula, Jo, and Deb,
Confusing with two new threads...
Hope everyone is doing well on this fine day. Just got back from church...now to catch up.
Barton Cove
LOL Sure do! I thought you were referring to British Columbia - John Hancock cam - Sidney cam......
I certainly do have BC Barton's Cove
Thanks Deb
Odd, they never let me choose the email follow-up on the first message anymore?
Morning, Iris. I didn't know there was a British Colombia Cam, how will we watch another one??
Light a candle for Sandra
This new thread was unexpected.
Deb - wait until the Osprey return
WOW Many Many More Cams........
Hi Iris... Did you need to wear your sun glasses this morning?
Here you go, Deb
Hancock Wildlife
There are a bunch on that site. Are any of them open now?
Need to leave for a few.........
BBL
Sidney nest is on...although the eagles there are building a new nest...they don't know if they will be using the one the cam is on or not...I haven't checked the others lately...
Thanks, i will check them out. The Barton Cove eagles are sure busy working on their nest.
Thanks Jo for the candle URL... I keep forgetting where I have it bookmarked.
Yes, had to wear my sunglasses this morning as I was heading EAST, but on the way home, the sun didn't bother me. Go figure, I thought I would be very light sensitive???
Dad at Tesoro
Belle eating, you can see the eggs!
Good morning everyone. Well I guess it is afternoon for you now. I am at work with 2 dogs in tow in case the weather gets bad enough that we don't get relieved today. Dogs just enjoyed time with a special little boy who was so surprised to see 2 puppies That will have been the high point of my day and theirs too I am sure.
Just a reminder All of the eagle cams are linked on the left of the For the Love of Eagles BLOG to which many of you are subscribed. The forum also contians a full page of eagle cam links. That is how I get around very often. Also MeMa Jo has kept us very updated on Sandra in the prayer request thread of the For the Love of Eagles forum. The second page of that thread also contains the link to the candle page for her.
If you don't know about the forum yet, ...well it is linked in RED on the left also off of the For the Love of Eagles BLOG.
Enjoy your day. Its back to work for the dogs and I LOL
Here is the link to the For The Love of Eagles page Glo was talking about in case you are not familiar with it...
all on one line of course. Maybe someone can make it a hyperlink?
http://fortheloveofeagles.blogspot.com/
Thanks for all the good info, Jo, Glo, Deb, Iris.
The Barton's Cove nest looks slightly snowbound. Where is it located, I forget?
[:~)]
Jim
Barton Cove is in Massachusetts , Jim. You can find all the links on the Eaglet Momsters page also.
Eaglet Momsters Links
Barton Island is a small island in the Connecticut River, near Barton Cove, in Gill, Massachusetts
GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO ALL EAGLE WATCHERS OUT THERE; JIM, JO, DEB, PAULA, IRIS, GLO, NORMA,ETC. We also have a cloudy day here today but still in the low 60's here and I can hear ROBINS chriping here. :):):) They are on their way north!!!!!!!
Boy, have I got a lot to catch up on. I see that a lot has been happening at the NBG nest and it has nothing to do with the Great Horned owl.
Anyone heard anything about either Sandra or Helen? I havae tried to read as much of the blog as I could, but didn't see any info on them.
Eagle at BWO Sitting pretty as you please.
Cameraman is looking around at NBG, it is a very pretty area.
No, we haven't heard too much new about them. we know Helen is watching sometime, so figure that must mean she is getting stronger.
Candy, you really missed a lot at NBG, it has been so sad. I haven't seen a new update today, but they must be out observing again today. The biologists are learning a lot.
Candy, Steve has a link and the article is very well written about NBG happenings. It is really too complicated to even think I could tell you about all of it. Most importantly is that the 3 eggs will not hatch but there is time for another clutch to be laid - we're just not sure who will lay one or where.
Thanks for the info Deb. It sounds like another cruel bit of nature at work at the NBG. What a shame.
Eagle in Maine nest and both in Barton cove.
MITS is doing very well recuperating. Her 2 sisters came over last week to keep her company & help her out. She goes back to Dr Feb 20th. Still keeping her in our prayers for full fast recovery! We really miss her on here.
Still need an update on Sandra. Will post any info I get.
Candy - Kent eagles have made a return appearance.
Link to Kent Forum Pictures
Maine eagle didn't stay long.
One of the Kent eagles was there yesterday, too. I saw Jim's post about it. There are some pictures on the Maine forum.
Kent visit
The Hummingbird chicks are getting restless and looking as though they are about to fledge soon...beaks don't appear as long as the former pair when they fledged though.
Have you looked in lately?
[:~)]
Jim
What a fitting Valentine's Day to see Spirit and mate together at Kent eagle nest! It looks like something should be happening there soon, I hope. George had better find a new place to run through or he might be dead mea! :)
Yes, I have it up now. The feathers aren't as colorful yet either. I will have to look at the videos of the last fledging to compare details.
JIM I was really shocked when I looked in on your hummers earlier to see how big they had gotten. They are huge little things. It is a tight squeeze in the nest now.
Eagle back at Maine, very quickly in and out.
The other surprise was how big the Tesoro chicks have gotten.
JO how many eggs is your owl sitting on in the Kent box? I just checked in on her and she is all alone.
Some good winds up on Maine. Kent nests MT
SC/PH nest MT
Have you heard anything from Sharon lately? She was so sick with the flu and worrying about her friend.
EEB The eagles at the Maine nest are very vocal at times.
Parent back at Tesoro. Parent brought in a snakc for the kids!
Sharon has been sick too? I hope she is feeling ok too! I haven't heard.
Oh, I wish I would have seen that! I see they are eating it, but didn't know it was a snake.
She was sick last weekend, haven't heard anything since then. I haven't seen her on the blog.
Both eagles, our nest.
Eating, our nest
As much as I refreshed, I don't know if there was a switch at our nest or not...will have to wait for eagle to turn differently...pulling in the fluff now...
Candy, was that a snack or a snake?
Darn, I keep missing both. Was there a fish in the nest earlier?
PAULA AND DEB That is how rumors get started lol. It was supposed to say snack! I'm back to my old self again. :)
I am between here and my email. Still have about 109 to go yet. :(
Ok, snack it is. I was so excited about a snake!!
Going out to dinner this evening with youngest daughter & hubby - you know-Jennifer! I forgot that she is a bird lover & some of you know her from the affairs we attend.
Will be back later this evening hr...
Good Afternoon Jo, Please give my best to Jennifer. She is so special. Have a wonderful afternoon.
Before I leave: Candy
Both Deb & I have one of the Links to the Kent forum Click on one & try to locate the Ms Owl - Lots of pics & she has 6 eggs under her.....
She is going to be one busy momma...
BBL
Deer in PA. Looks like they threw some food out for them.
Here is the link to owl pictures:
Kent Owl
Now deer and turkeys in PA.
Talk to you all later on.
Got a few things to do.
[:~)]
Jim
Eagles in Maine.
They switched places, and then had a little talk with each other.
They are both gone already from Maine.
I think it was, floralgirl...it was spotted..
Thanks DEB for the link. Wow that is a lot of eggs for one mother to take care of. I hope they all make it.
I'm down to 81 emails and still going.BB
Eagle back in Maine, it has been a busy nest today.
And out, they don't stay long!
Snow has melted in Oregon...can see part of the nest today
PAULA that is good news for the Oregon eagles. Maybe they can start their family now. :) Down to 23 emails and counting.
Maine's eagles have to be close by as they are very vocal at times.
It looks like BW eagle is starting to tent her eggs. I wonder if she is getting rain?
Hi Candy, off from school tomorrow?
Hi WANDA!! I could be, but I am going into school for awhile to get things done ahead. I hope to get out early tho. How has everything been with you, the Capt. and your family?
Everything is good,Candy. We have our grandson for the long weekend. He is a hoot. He is now 13 and quite interesting.
Both eagles in Barton Cove again. I wonder when they lay their eggs.
He likes looking at the eagles but the Hawks seems to be his favorites. Probably becuse he is more familiar with them.
Hi Deb, we are having a really drab day here, but Lib and Belle seem to be quite comfy.
Candy - eagle in Oregon will lay their eggs in April...just extends our viewing season :)
Hi, Wanda.
Now they are gone. They did a lot of work on their nest today.
The sun just came out here, at least we will get some blue sky before dark. It is 36 here today so snow is melting!!
Looking around on NBG cam.
Great news PAULA
Two parents in BW nest
Both eagles in BWE.
Must have been change of the guard. Parent now turning eggs underneath and other flew the coupe.
Has anyone seen Star and Spirit lately? Are they tryig to repair their nest? Wonder where Albert and Einstein are. What a pair they were!
Star and Spirit were both in the nest on the 14th. One of them was there yesterday.
WANDA Jo sent me pics of Star and Spirit at their nest site this week. Looked in on them this afternoon and saw nothing or any rebuilding. Albert and Einstein were both a pair. Too funny. I sure hope S and S start nestorations before long.
HOORAY! I JUST FINISHED ALL MY EMAILS Thanks to all of you for keeping me in touch with things.
Buck in PA.
BOO....HI! just a reminder, one of the easiest ways to find an address for ALL KINDS OF NESTS is beakspeak.com....go to top of page and hit BIRDCAMS. It is sooooo easy to go down that page and hit the little cam on the left and get taken right to the nest or site you want, then you can put it in your favs.
Hey Mits! How are you doing? Miss you on here.
Racoon in Pa. zigging and zagging
It is so nice to see your name on the blog, Mits, even if it is just a quick drop in. I hope you are feeling better!
Deer coming into Pa. cam view.
There is a new video on the hummer site:
A Day in the Life
It is cute, but almost 7 minutes long.
Looks like BWE and our eagle have settled in for the night. Didn't look like anything was on NBG nest yet tonight. Pa. site is deserted. So, guess I'll call it a night.
Hope you all have a restful and peaceful nights sleep. Prayers for those in need. Tomorrow brings a new day with new beginnings. GOOD NIGHT ALL.
tHREE EGGS VISIBLE ON OUR NEST
Parent back over the eggs. Now I am sayiing GOODNIGHT ALL! :)
GOOD NIGHT CANDY,TTYT
OH,YES! Words of wisdom from our Mits. So good to see you on here Helen. Take care...
Having a light rain at 43° tonight.
Deb the hummer site got more hits yesterday then our site did! Beakspeak.com always gives you the tally over on the left.
My dinner was great - Dutch's Daughter restaurant of course...Got my crab cake (I don't do crab legs)
Well Suzanne has a holiday tomorrow.
I'll watch the hummer video tomorrow.
Really have my eyes half closed.

JIM
Since Jo and Wanda enjoyed my Lakota words I added some more to my page. Toksha!
Good morning to whoever is out there. I have been so out of the loop for the past week. That flu is some tough stuff. Getting ready to start back to work. Too bad the week off was not vacation! :)
I have been watching our eagles all week. That is always up on my computer but I do not have a clue what has been happening with everybody. Maybe I will have the time later to read the blogs.
Make a great day everybody!
Morning, our eagle was just off the eggs..still awake, but I'm headed back to bed....66° here
Hey,Sharon didn't see you come in....hope you are feeling better, don't overdo..
Spidey sure made himself seen this morning!
Bakatcha, Mits! :)
Looks a little foggy in Shepherdstown. I am by myself here this morning, where is everybody? I am sure Suz is off for President's Day.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES----HELEN & SHARON!!----WOW!---SHARON---maybe there's a party some where & we weren't invited---ho!---Grey clouds & wet a.m. here in WV--"HOME OF BELLE & LIBERTY"--temp. 54°---SHARON---Do you have a holiday today???---WONDERFUL to log on & HELEN & SHARON are here!!
It is a GLORIOUS DAY!!---ENJOY THE HOLIDAY!!---
Good Morning Sharon, Jim, Deb, Mits (good to see you take it easy), Norma and Watchers.
Sharon I sure hope you get too feeling better soon. Your making me a little worried here.
The only thing I'm a little confused about is. I thought we were told "eagles mate for life". I know in Calif. there are two females and one male. It's like how did this come to be??
LIFE IS GOOD for the 'LITTLE PRINCE'!----sacked out on his grate----check him out---Is that a cigarette hanging out of his mouth!!----NAW!---LITTLE IMP!!
Dana, I guess it is like George and Martha with Monica.
I can't remember Sharon...Did George mate with the intruder before or after Martha was put down?
GOOD MORNING JIM, MITS, DEB, SHARON,NORMA AND DANA. I just made it to school a minute ago and could have used a canoe! :) Boy we are really getting some pretty heavy rains down here on the coast at the moment. It is much needed tho.
Morning Candy good to see you ( :
Dana, from the best I can remember, Monica fought with Martha and injured her pretty bad. Then George and Monica were seen together. They sent Martha to rehab, got her better, released her back and she was seen back with George at least once. Then she as found injured in a field and could not be saved.
Everything looks great at our nest, at BWO and Tesoro with those two big ckicks. Doesn't look like anything is in the Norfolk nest et today.
This is a work day for me with no students, so will be in and out if I can. All have a good eagle watching day. Someone get WANDA up with a cup of coffee please. :)
Thanks Sharon that is what I was remembering but I just wasn't sure. Thank you for helping my "getting old mind" lol
MORNIN' DANA & CANDY----My computer is a mess---All weekend---out of the blue---IT CLOSES DOWN!-----DANA--Did you read LISA'S bookmark she had yesterday on her EAGLE pic about NORFOLK!---I thought it explained the intruder situation better--(written by a scientist)--Nature works in mysterious ways!!!
LISA also has the MARTHA--GEORGE STORY TOO!!
CANDY--Nice you can check in now & then too!!---
Most of the "HANDSOME DONKEYS" have eaten earlier---They are now off doing things DONKEYS "DO"!!
NORFOLK NEST---one can see the eggs in the nest---So very SAD!!!
Dana, that may not be the exact way things happened but it is the best I can remember.
WOW!--Look who is riding "SHOT GUN" at the TESORO NEST!!---Two fuzzy gray heads!!---So COOL!--Haven't they grown?
Good morning, Sharon, Mits, Norma, Dana and Candy. It is a sunny morning here today and looks like a quiet morning on the cams so far. It is good to have you back, Sharon, and good to see Helen pop in every once in awhile.
MORNIN' DEB!----Soooo---what is the temp in SD?----WARMER--I hope!!
Deb you downloaded Neokast right? If so; which of the IWS 3 sites do you get to see with it?
CO--MT----OWL has turned around----but is "mum" on the # of eggs she is sitting on!!
Norma, it is cold again today, 3 with a windchill of -18 . We had a nice weekend with temps in the 30's.
Dana, Neokast is only for people with Windows and since I have a Mac computer, I can't watch any of those cams. i sure hope that isn't what our new cam is.
None of the BEAUTIFUL PINK FLAMINGOS are in the pool at NZOO this morning-----They are standing in the grass--most on 1 leg---with their head tucked under!!----NOT A DUCK IN SIGHT!!
I can still watch PH, they didn't change that cam, at least so far they haven't.
Deb I am sure NCTC will use Real Player again this year once they get things going.
I hope so, I get that!
BC NEST---MT
HEY DANA!---Even I get that one too! ho!
NEW THREAD EVERYONE COME ON OVER DOOR IS OPEN FOR MONDAY !! ( :
GOOD MORNING LADIES...
Glad to see Helen and Sharon feeling well enough to chat a bit. What a blessing it would be to have Sandy with us again. Pray that she will be in time...
