Here's the latest picture.
So I walk into entry this AM and there's an eagle sitting in the nest. After mentioning last Friday that we still had a week to go for eggs, I should have realized that after seeing robins in January and moths flying in my headlights last night, that the eagles would also have some timing issues in this winter "that wasn't".
Please send me pics of the egg and I'll post them.

The HUMMING BIRD was just off her nest & I could see one of the 'little hummers'----WHOA!---They certain grow over night!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Did you know? For the Love of Eagles has a thread with NCTC Nest Observations this year. This is not a chat thread. It is merely a stop by and leave a statement of what you see happening at the nest at that time. Many of us had a very difficult time to get through last year. Could we rally aorund this nest and actively observe and share as the days pass and we cheer Lib and Belle and their new clutch on to a successful 2008 season. There is nothing to join or subscribe to. You may post as guest if you don't care to be a registered member. Either would be so appreciated. Lets all keep an Eagle eye on these 2 and report what we see, please occasional, especially highlights. No pictures are necessary,it is the information we are trying to gather in one spot. Of course they do add to the fun. Check it out here.

Norma, the owls last year that had babies disappearing every day was The Birdhouse Network, I think. Run by Cornell University. Looks like there are 2 owls in the nest as we speak. Cam is in California.

It's true we don't know the exact date the 1st egg was laid - Cam went down early early Fri am on 2/1 & we
didn't have it returned until 2/4 am hr. I would suggest that anyone that voted for dates of 2/1 through 2/4 would be declared winners!!!Woo Hoo!

Lisa said that an Osprey was spotted headed this way! She also said it was a bit too early!

I've been watching for a few weeks now and told a co-worker " the day that an egg shows up in the nest I'm going to go bonkers" I am so excited to see an egg!! Can't wait to show my kids. They are such AWESOME birds.

All the Eagles are laying ours up here in ohio have laid, not sure how many because we dont have a cam in the nest .
