Its been an extremely hectic day. The guys are still in the midst of the fuel cell installation, but as you can see the cam is finally back thanks to a fix out in Denver.
We have been working hard on the Open House, scheduled for this weekend here at NCTC. Make sure you all come out. Lots of critters to see, and the Momsters will have a table.

Dana - I'm like you - it is OUR eagle. I usually try to gauge the length of the eagle and compare to the width of the nest. Belle usually fills it up - side to side.

Has anyone actually seen a schedule of events (times & locations) for the Open House? I know we get a program when we arrive - I am wondering where they going to put that giant fish tank..

I can't seem to keep my eyes open and the cam was visible till my eyes closed and took me away.
Mits 2hr 30 min to get to faifax that means an hur sitting in traffic, just under 90 min to get home.
Jo honestly I do not know how many animal faces are in picture, but I trust you ladies to find an answer :)

Heard there was a BIG accident on 70 my friend said he waited in traffic while the injured was airlifted out.

Accident on 70 was reported on NBC25, said avoid 70 if at all possible. Brad said it happened around 5:15, he missed it but the guys that left after him got caught in it. Tractor Trailer vs Truck.

Jill he was about 1/4 to 1/2 mile behind, luckily our date is tomorrow eve we almost made it tonight, took him almost 2 hrs to get out of there. Said the truck was demolished
I am sure it did Robyn. Once you are in the traffic up there there is no way out. If you are lucky enough to be near an exit, you can get off and use one of the back roads but if you are right on the accident you are screwed.
Just read where the boy lost on Dolly Sods has the mental capacity of a 3 year old. Poor thing must be scared to death up there alone.

Good morning, world. See the new thread. Steve, do you know you have Momsters coming from California for your Open House????? We guys and gals don't fool around, we totally support you and NCTC and the Open House.
Too bad we couldn't get the gals across the pond to attend to! Maybe next year. You have Momsters all over the world, and the States. We're all bringing out checkbooks, so make sure the gift shop has lots of eagle merchandise! And of course, Paula's table!
Wow, we also have a cam, how cool is that! Ok, getting a little excited here! And a beautiful pic of Squiggles and Bai sleeping, they have evidentally repaired the broken infrared light, so it's a nice pic.
Beautiful night out, 62° both in PA and Va. We had some sprinkles last night, back porch and roads were wet until I got a couple miles from 15, then the roads were dry. Also saw a whole herd of deer this morning, way too many to even begin to count, they were all in a field, so that was cool to see. Then saw about 6 together down here, so the moms and babes are hanging together. Must be time for the males to start doing their thing!
Ok, have to find my cams again. With the upgrade, they rearranged all my favorites, so takes me a while to find them, or try to remember the addr, and that's not gonna happen!

That's unusual to see so many White Tail deer in a herd, I believe... much more common with the Mule Deer we have out West here.

I thought it was unusual to see so many deer together also. In the over 2 years I've been coming down here, I've never seen so many together. And then to see 6 together down here too, what's going on with that? Never heard of them running together like that.

Our class had their Pumpkin Patch trip to Powells Market all yesterday and that was some tiring day. Never got on to read blogs or email last night at all.

Talked to my son on Monday about you all going on the Eagle Ride from Romney. amd the stinker said that he had been thinking about taking me on it. I told him if I had only known, that you were going this Sunday, but now it is too late. Oh well. That is life.
He is saying that he wants me to look at a house that he would like to buy. Anything would be better than paying someone else rent money forever. Time will tell.
One left, think that may have been Lib. Guess Belle told him where she wanted a stick, and he didn't agree or something.

Got to see the eagle in our nest but just before hshe flew of. As I drove tori to the bus we saw our neighbors dog running with a realy pretty cat in his MOUTH, if I had a gun I would have shot him. I sat there till my neighbor came out, he will put dog in till cat gets out of the tree it ran up when I was chasing them down the road in my jamas, what a scene that was.
