It was quite a scene this morning as major construction was done by the eagles on the nest. It is sure looking good for another nesting season.

Yes, I saw both and I was thrilled. It completed my trip. We set he alarm for 5:45 to get up and head to the nest on Sunday morning. LOL didn't need the alarm, even after all that driving and the long day Sat... very early Sun morn the body says GET UP>>>>>Time to head to the nest LOL.
Lets say we were a motley looking crew, as we still had to go back to Harpers Ferry to get ready to go to the train. But the eagles were there and They were beautiful I shall never forget what I saw that morning...being there and seeing them in person as well as their surroundings does add a whole new dimension to this whole experience. I knew I had to go to see them. I am so very glad they "showed up".

For Halloween, we will have Mattie and Justin. I live up on a hill and most people are too lazy to climb hills anymore. We used to climb all over this neighborhood for candy. Now, they are taken to College Avenue in South Bluefield where it is flat.
Dana, you are soo lucky, haven't got any candy yet, too few kids come in this neighborhood anymore, hubby will be away, so don't think I will answer the door, or I will go out for the evening.
I put pink on my nose and cheeks and over my eyebrows. I wear "Clifford" the big red dog slippers and he helps the little ones say Treat or Trick.
On the teens last year whoever wanted to could reach their hand inside a papers bag. They couldn't see what was in it. I would grab their hand while it was in the bag. Some went screaming and came back laughing. One kid said, "Oh no I'm not doing that she probably has doggie doo doo in the bag". That cracked me up lol
Norma, it seems I get a lot of trick-or-treaters if I forget to buy the candy, and I get almost none if I buy plenty...it's S-P-O-O-K-Y!
I am planning to get some this year, but so far not.

The white stuff in the picture is either a mushroom or fungus. I have seen it before but never got close enough to touch it. Usually grows at the base of a tree.
