Another traveling momster checking in and perhaps out. I am sort of packed. Its in organized piles ready to head to the car. I will head to Commode town in about 5 hours or so UNLESS bad weather makes it necessary to alter my time to head on out of here. Bad weather for us off and on today. 14 tornadoes west of me last night. WE just got the rain and wind. Storms are forecast to fire up again this afternoon, which is when I am supposed to be leaving. Well either way eventually either infront of or behind the storms I will See you all on Sat. Have a great flight Anne Marie and grand daughter.

My beautiful Diana cut her long natural blond hair and dyed it dark. I'm furious. She said she wanted a change and no one took her seriously as a blond. My daughter did the same at her age and dyed it red. Oh well, I guess its not the end of the earth. It will grow back. Well its off with me. One half day at work is better than none. It will save time on the books for the holidays. Next time I talk to you guys will be Sat. I'm the one with the frizzy white hair. Hugs.
Norma, look at SD now. You can almost see Squiggles little black and white markings. Bai has her out of the way in all that bamboo, but cam zoomed in.

THANKS PAULA!----They told me to call back FRI!----Told them I would take any seat available!!---Will see---There isn't any station----You park in a huge field!!---But there are signs on Rt. 50---We are a very small town & we believe the OLDEST in the state----SANDY disagrees--ho!---She says SHEPHERDSTOWN is---We both agree the incorporation papers were signed the same day! About the same time----But Shepherdstown has kept up all the old bldg. while ROMNEY has not!!---Which is sad!---Certainly told you more than you cared to know!!---ho!
Yes Anne I will drive almost 4 hours to Vicky's as she lives almost in Indiana and I can just about see IA from my house. From that point on though it will be the 2 of us and yep I have an experienced chauffer . For those of you who tried to help and answer my direction questions,thanks so very much, I am told Our route takes us no where near Martinsburg and thus No traffic to even worry about getting us around any Aplle Harvest Parade. I am sure Vicky has the rest of it whooped anyway. I think even her car probably knows the way by now. LOL.
I did print off some nice suggestions though from Jill for a prettier through the mountains route, and a phone number sent to me by Wanda if we have any more questions. All is well.
In fact it is so well there is an eagle in our nest as I type!!!!

MORNING JIM---Are you going to hold the FORT down Saturday--while we are at NCTC??----Wish you could come---That is a beautiful place & EAGLE TOO----I think several MOMSTERS are there now---I live 75 miles away!!!----They are still hunting for the young man--300 trained hikers & dogs yesterday----The area is so dense---you can't see anything---must be a nightmare for the family----They have hiked there several times before---
DARN IT PAULA---I keep missing them!!----the EAGLES!!---But would enjoy seeing a vulture now & then!!!

Hello I am sitting in a computer lab at NCTC. Mits, Robyn and I have just completed testing the new NCTC FWS website. No new design to our eagle cam - but I have met Jon and he could be the one for a pop up cam.

BUTA BUTA loves to "pester" LUN LUN---usually sneaks up behind her & bites!!---Then they "rock & roll" & it is so FUNNY---Now I guess LUN LUN is getting even with MEI LAN!!!

Uh oh, looks like a photographer talking to someone and taking pics in Atlanta. Guy that was cleaning made himself scarce. Wonder if this is for their paper? Here comes the guy that was cleaning.
I read in BIRDER SCOTT SHALAWAY'S column that the smaller birds are migrating now --He suggested if we sit outside at night & watch the skies---We will see them migrating!!!---He also stated that humming birds don't hang around for the food---It's the day light that keeps them here!!----Have any of you read that-----

Check out Atlanta now, guy that was cleaning just put up a bunch of new sticks. Wonder how long it will take for buta buta to knock them all down? Think I'd almost be willing to go to Atlanta and work for no pay, just to be that close to the pandas!
Here they come... First stick inside of about a second. Think that's mom, just grabbed it, sat down, and is eating, so it must be fresh bamboo.
Mai and Tian are together with tons of bamboo, and Bai and Squiggles are sleeping.
Oh, Norma, I'm so glad! They'll be back!

Norma, Steve asked for volunteers yesterday to check out their new web site, before it's posted. Think that's what the girls are doing. Jill was supposed to attend, but maybe with her schedule, she couldn't.
The ATLANTA nest is a "hoot" when BUTA & LUN LUN start romping & chasing each other---That little LOVEBUG will jump on top of LUN LUN even after MOM seems to have won the romp!!
It is FUN to watch all 3 pandas--isn't it?---All are at different ages!----
YUP, it sure is! I'm loving this!!! They have Mei Sheng on SD now. Guess mom and baby are still sleeping. But must be panda naptime, they're ALL sleeping.

Someone was just driving the Florida cam. Had it focus real close at a hole in a tree branch. Nothing there. Maybe they were looking for the woodpecker. I read about in the blog.
Bai just left Squiggles alone. That place needs and infra red light. Hurts you eyes trying to watch it. At least she isn't so tiny anymore lol

Yes I am back & ready for a Panda nap BUT I know you would not forgive me if I didn't give you the details of this morning at NCTC/FWS. I arrived 2 min after 9:00 (late as usual) & was greeted by Steve, Diane(IT), Robyn and Helen (Mits)! Off we walked to another bldg with all the classrooms.
When we walked into the classroom filled with adult IT FWS students behind computers - we were introduced as the TESTORS! Then is when we were told the plan that the NCTC/FWS Website has a new look and it needs to be evaluated as to how User Friendly it was! We were each assigned about 4 or 5 students - they were not to ask questions of us as we tried to locate on the site the answers to about 20 questions! BUT we needed to talk loud and clear our thoughts as we were searching for the answers! Questions such as What is the next event to be held at NCTC! Before I even searched for Upcoming Events, I turned to all the students and told them that this Sat, Oct 20, 10-4 was Open House - then I found it on the web!Our most favorite question was "are they any eagles in the nest?" I think Mits turned & told them No - they're never there at this time of day!Then we opened the cam!
They were good friendly FWS people & we really did give them some valuable info as to how they could improve the site and we had fun doing it. Free lunch was enjoyed and one or two of the students sat with us. Went again to the tree - but only the leaves were flying around. Headed Home with an Apple Pie - Yummy - Thank you Robyn

Mema Jo reminded me that I needed to tell you gals and guys that I will be seeing the Atlanta Beauty next week. I have been busy getting all my papers graded so I could go and my students not feel cheated. I have my classes covered. Hubby has a great camera and we should have good pics of her and Lun Lun. I will tell her all about you Momsters, especially, Sharon and Norma. Hubby and I will also be on a train this Saturday (I would rather be with you gals, but Hubby is good second choice) We will be on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway from Blue Ridge Georgia to Cooperhill Tennessee and back. It think it is a Fall Foliage Tour. Blessing on your trip and traveling mercies. love donna
