Tori is on her clss trip today to Carlisle Pa for the ren-faire, she was very chatty this morning, very excited about her trip.

Tori is learning about the middle ages hence the class trip, last time we went to the faire we dressed up, we had a blast.

Uh oh, good morning, Jo. Looks like I'm a little late telling about the eagles in BW. Been working on other computer, just happened to glance at this one, and bam, there they were. Jim was just asking about Mrs Patience this morning.
Well darn, there goes one of them.
Bai is covering Squiggles with bamboo, now leaving. Squigs head is covered, that's about all. Too funny.
I guess we will call them Mr Patience and Ms Prudence... lol I'll send Jim a pic since he hasn't seen Ms Prudence for a while.......

Good morning everyone. I am back from coffee and dog treats. Thanks for this mornings pictures Suzanne....good way to start the day. Sorry to hear Jim hit refresh and made Belle disappear though. Hugs to the M and M Momsters Molly and Maggie...those are wonderful names for the 2 sisters. Congrats again to Mits and her family.
Here's hoping for several clear eagle fixes. I work tonight so maybe that would be a good time to watch for visits LOL. Have a Great Day everyone.
OH Anne and I are thinking Oct 13 for the Alaska Cruise narration. Haven't come up with the time yet. Actually there are so many wonderful pictures that its probalby gonna be more than one cruise. Just wanted to give Momsters first heads up on happenings as we have them so far.
I should be hearing from Iris anytime now . I have no idea if she has access to digital and if I can cruise some of her memories too. Of course there is NCTC Open House coming up and my guess is both will have pictures in hand as well.

LOOK AT SQUIGGLES----She looks like she was in a parade---All the (STREAMERS) BAMBOO over her---MOM comes in--Little LOVE-BUG ignores her by turning over & going back to sleep---NOW BAI is attempting to lay a "TON" of BAMBOO on top of her!!!----You see a "black eye" her--a "black ear" there---FUNNIEST I HAVE SEEN!!!
Those little sea otter critters really squirm around! Only takes one of them to disrupt the whole pile! lol
Those otters are crazy funny to watch.....Lisa Stephens the curator and author of the panda updates has been in China, but I think she is back now, but who knows when she will get it updated.

JO---Over the weekend (forget channel)---I watched a COOL show about OTTERS---It took place at a OTTER REHAB---Showed them treating & caring for them (2 different breeds)---Long process---OTTERS aren't surviving very well--should be living longer---Brought these 2 back to good health---attached radios----& set them loose---each with their kind!!! ----Doing great!
FORGOT to tell you how great it was watching these little "clowns"-----swim together---they eat all the time---one of their problems--not getting enough food, etc. enjoyed watching them---
Norma, there are 13 different species of otters in the world.....the ASIA SMALLED CLAWED OTTERS at the NATIONAL ZOO are the smallest of the species....darn cute little buggers

Morning, Jim, Norma, and Paula. Been on other computer, been busy, haven't been watching cams too much.
Beautiful day out, was outside a little while ago. Going home and open windows. Went to the dentist yesterday after work, had to get two fillings, one on each side, and my lower lip felt like it was about a half block ahead of the rest of me! Geesh, least tonight I can just go home and enjoy the day.
You can almost see Squiggles, they are zoomed in, and it's too dark that way. But she's there snoozing, and alone. BW had an eagle earlier for quite a while, I think, but MT nest now. Our nest is on again/ off again. On now, but MT.
Gotta start closing shop...

Cheapest one I could find for two days was Econo. has anyone stayed there or know anything about it?. I would like to get that settled tomorrow. I cant read the blog so could you email me.? Morning, world. Beautiful night out, moon kind of peeks out from the clouds, but mostly cloudy. And had spritzers down here, but not much. 64° at home, 69° here already. Gonna be warm today.
Our cam was beautiful when I first brought it up, now it's getting some psycho lines. And you can see Spidey's web, being built right exactly over the center of the cam. Darn spider!
Bai and Squiggles and both sound asleep in the birthing den. Sure glad they're sleeping today!
Hum, guess those psycho lines aren't going away...been there now for a couple refreshes. Darn!

OMG, Frieda and chicks are in color! Wow, usually B&W when I logon. But time is right for them, 1818 there 0418 here. How cool! Hope it stays that way. She's laying behind them, or she has one under her and one in front of her, looks like about a foot. What's the deal with that? Shouldn't they be together? Hum, not liking this. Course the chick by him/herself is right under the date and time, so can't see clearly, and the other chick may be under her breast, but can't tell that clearly either. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well, the color sure didn't last long! Back to the usual B&W. Frieda is awake and looking around, but still on one chick.
Bai left, Squiggles is alone and squiggling. Moving those 4 little black legs, but laying on her side. Oh, scratching with her hind leg, how cute is that!
Lost our cam, psycho lines are really bad, then next refresh, black screen.
Frieda awake, chicks haven't moved. And she did get up a bit, so yes, she has one chick under her. So now I'm watching the other one, don't know why he would be out by himself.
Squiggles just rolled over, was one her right side, now on her left. She's just soooo cute! She's scratching again with her hind leg. Too cute, but why the scratching all of a sudden. Man, is she going...moving now, just rolled onto her back, now back on her right side again. Ahhh, but we're not done yet, kicking those little legs, uh oh, now on tummy. And trying to scratch again. Nope, back on back, now left side. She's having a good time rolling around. And scratching.
Jim, are you up? You should be watching this, she's adorable!
Our Squiggles has finally settled down and decided she wanted to sleep on her tummy after all. Arms under her head, back legs straight out and finally asleep.
Frieda is snoozing, wakes up, goes back to sleep, chicks the same, one under her, one not.

Well, Frieda is checking the one chick under her, and she's switched positions with her back to the cam. I really hate to say it, but the other chick, under the date and time has not moved in over an hour. The chick is being totally ignored by Frieda, so I'm guessing he's not with us anymore. Darn, sure hope this year doesn't turn out like last year, can't take it, I'd have to stop watching. Oh, Frieda just turned her back totally to the other chick and cam.
Squiggles is in same position, so she's comfy on her tummy. Has her little hind legs tucked under her and sound asleep.
Spidey web and glare are visible on our cam...too early yet for the AM visit.
BW has nice pic, but MT nest.
Brought the 3 cam view of Kent up. Man, Star and Spirit sure have their work cut out for them this year! That nest looks destroyed. Cam3 is down, but it's a good pic of the nest at this time of day, so I'm not complaining.

Mom's back, Squiggles is nursing. Frieda still has her back to cam, no other changes there.
We have a nice clear pic on our cam, now we just need for Liberty and Belle to wake up, get their first cuppa, and make an appearance.
There they go. Bai holding Squiggles and toppled over to lay down. There goes the rolling the Squiggles. That is too funny, she just rolls Squiggles like a little rag doll. Now mom's just holding her in her arms, adorable.
That was short lived. Bai now sitting up and nursing again.
Frieda has walked off, both chicks are alone. Mom is off to the right of the cam. Oh, she's back. Almost looks like she has something in her mouth, no, guess not. She was scratching her wing. Covering the one chick, ignoring the other. Darn!
Well if the kids are on schedule today, they should be here soon. Now's your chance to get up and get your first cup and sit down and get comfy for the viewing of our beautiful eagles. (Providing they don't have a 2nd cup of coffee!)

Just got caught up on e-mails and looking in on our favorite cams. Wonder what could have happened to F&F chick? It seems we have had so many "lost" babies. I guess it happens all the time in nature, we're just not there to see it.

Good morning, Mauley and Norma. Mauley, it upset me too, first thing I saw when I opened the cam this morning! I sent them an email and some pictures to ask if they can find out what happened, but I'm sure nobody is there at this time of night (over there). I asked them if there were ants or bugs in the rocks, that could hurt the chicks. I'll post any answer I get, if I get one.
Norma, seems like the temp has gone down quite a bit, but it's humid out, so not too cold. Colder in my office than outside!
61° here this morning, planning on 78° for a high this Wed. morn in So Cal, Suz, Wanda, Robyn, Megan and all early birds....
It's a beautiful pair at BW, but the female is on the small side and they're hard to tell apart sometimes.
I woke up early for other reasons, and I am contemplating staying up to break the late cycle I've been getting into.

They are pretty much matched in size, huh, Jim? Either one or both have been there over 2 hours! Cool. Our couple were AWOL this morning, so it's nice to just see some eagles.

Jim, think Donna is talking about the missing chick as being the second chick. They have a comment on their site about the middle one being the one missing. They haven't updated the site, and this has been discussed here. Also they now have a dead chick this morning. Frieda is only laying near or over the one chick, the one by the date and time has not moved at all today. In fact, if you look at the last pic you sent yesterday, the chick hasn't much moved from that pic. Frieda is down to one chick, and I hope that one grows up big and strong and beautiful!
