Wow! I got WAXED!!!!!!

Good to read that the eagles did visit this morning, brief but a visit. Would dearly love to see an eagle with this color.

i went to bed last night after talking to myself and now I find myself blabbing away and no one here.????

Bad breath, maybe?

Lolly said...

Guess I will go over to fb and check on the world.

Good Morning Everyone too many to name.

I have been seeing shadows like eagles flying around above nest at times. Although I don't know if it them working on the cam or not. If so that is truly an "April Fool's Joke".

wvgal_dana said...

Ok it is happening too much. They have to be messing with the live feed. I do hope they keep color ( :
but get the nest spread out like it was.

Good morning. YES I MISS YOU I remain a mess over NCTC situation and won't be reading blog carefully. I just can't right now. I do not like to think about it. But I do think about all of you often and needed to stop by to say so. So please do not think me rude if I don't respond to your comments etc and feel no necessity to respond to mine. Just know I stopped in tosee you all :-).

Joker is a beautiful healthy cat!! We have one that looks a lot like that next door, but he spends more time over here. Only problem is, he is always killing something and taking it away. We've seen him with birds, squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies.....you name it. Nice cat, but.......we like our wildlife!

Linda said...

@Sharon!!

You go girl!!!!

Lolly said...

Glo, had a fabulous picture on fb of the three Decorah eggs. Looks like 3 eggs and 3 pips. That nest really looks soft and cozy.

Linda said...

I've never had the pleasure of even laying eyes on LIBERTY since I am a newcomer. I started watching the NCTC cam either the day before or the day Paddy was born. Wish I could see him :(

PA Lynn, we are in the Ft. Worth area. We are just south of Fort Worth. Daughter lives in Denton and son in Dallas. We are about an hour from each family,

Linda said...

Hi Lolly!!

How are you??

Linda said...

Lolly,
I have a friend who lives in Euless. They grew up in Arlington. I've been out there a couple times to visit and more than that flying through Dallas to get to the mountains in Colorado!!

Lolly said...

I am just fantabulous! Plan to work in my yard again today. Beautiful day!!! Just do not want it to get too warm.

Gardening is my big thing.

Lolly said...

Well, that friend is not too far from me, Lynn.

Lolly said...

Hawkwood Gardens is the blog where I have pictures of our yard. If you go to look at them, keep hitting "older pics" at the bottom. I have lots of pictures of our yard. Right now it does not quite looks like that, but we are getting it in shape and come June it will be looking great!

Linda said...

Can't work outside here. It's SNOWING!!!

Gardening will have to wait for a while yet! My hubby loves to do that stuff.

As long as it isn't too hot, I like to get out there, but I have bad knees and can't kneel too well. I hope to take off some weight and maybe that will help. I've let my weight get away from me over the past few years :(

Linda said...

I'll check it out Lolly! Our home here in PA was beautifully planned when we moved here, but the maintenance is a chore. We've had a lot of our tulips and other bulbs eaten by whoever eats them!

We do have things popping up through the snow all over the place. Daffodils, crocus, day lillies and I don't know what else.

I'm a city girl......learning about all this stuff!

Lolly said...

Lynn, I did that too after retirement. However, I lost 40 pounds two years ago. We took a trip to New England and WV last fall. We were gone 5 weeks, traveling with our trailer. Then the holidays hit. Gained about 15 pounds, but I have lost that and going for more. Your knees will thank you if you loose! I am back to hiking with the family in the mountains! Yea!

Lolly said...

I am a small town girl and basically a country girl at heart. I went to college in FT. Worth, TCU, met Jack, and we lived there until 1973. Now, we are sorta in the country. We have an acre, and the houses around us are on 1 to 4 acres. People have gardens and or horses. We also are in an area with trees.

Linda said...

That's great, Lolly!

I love your home and flower gardens. Just beautiful.

We have lots of pictures I'll post after tax season is over. I should be working because I'm getting behind, but I just love chatting with you and the others here!!

I hate to diet, but I must! My husband loves to make homemade bread almost every other day and it's killing me. Everything he cooks with is like Paula Dean style with a stick of butter! Not to mention my sweet tooth! It catches up with you...

wvgal_dana said...

Glo Nice to see you stop in. I know you would not be watching the nest now. Do like to see your pictures. Miss you !!

SusanP said...

Lori - thanks! we think Mishka is a pretty girl too. She's our short stubby kitty (and too round - hard to put a kitty on a diet in a multi-cat house!).

Lynne2 - Joker is beautiful! Happy B-day to him! Today is my two oldest cats b-days (Maverick and Goose, my top gun kitties - two handsome black and white tuxedo boys who are 13 today).

Ok - back to work....

Linda said...

I was always a city girl. Born in Boston living there 5 yrs, moved to Baton Rouge and New Orleans and lived there another 6-7 years. Moved to Ft. Lauderdale and was there from age 13 unitl 47!! There is NO land in Ft. Lauderdale. We did have a house on an acre, but it was west of Ft. Lauderdale and it was nice to have the land.

Up here we have 12 acres and it is very different. We love it!

Linda said...

Well, Lolly, I hope the weather holds perfect for a day in the gardens. Enjoy being outside and breathe in some of that spring air for me. As much as I love the snow, I am ready for spring to come!

Linda said...

@Susan,
Love your cat, too!! Those black and white cats are just too cute! My Mom has two and their names are Midnight and Romeo. They are getting huge, but they're so loving!!

Lolly said...

I was born and raised in a small town in south Texas. Rode horses as a girl. My daddy was a farm implement dealer in the Rio Grande Valley. Came to Fort Worth for school and have been here ever since. Not much moving around for me. However...we travel and I have seen a lot of the world.

You decide to go on a diet, I highly recommend Nuitra System and walking. Jack and I walk 2 miles a day, with a DVD in front of our TV. LOL Hey, it is great on the knees and it works!

Linda said...

Have there been any ground reports this week? I'd love to know what they're seeing in the trees and surrounding area over at NCTC.

Linda said...

Are those Nutra System meals freeze dried?

Linda said...

I've done Jenny Craig and would do it again, but I get tired of the meals. It worked well, too.

Getting your hubby to do it with you is a good idea. My hubby is tall and big enough to carry the weight. I'm NOT. He can carry 50 extra pounds and still look good, but that is NOT the case with me.

Lolly said...

Thank you!

Annie was dumped on us 16 years ago this coming August. We figured she was born in June. She was just a tiny thing. Had fleas, worms, ear mites and was just so pathetic. We already had one cat but she was getting old and decided to keep Annie. Actually, the first night, when she fell asleep on Jack's tummy, he looked at me and said, "I think we have a new cat." LOL

Lolly said...

I am tall and yes, it helps with the weight.

Linda said...

Kittens sure do have a way of warming our hearts!!

Talking about those walking videos. My brother said he got one of those Biggest Loser dvd's and worked out with that.

I cracked up at him, but he said if those people could do it as over weight as they were, he certainly could to lose 25 pounds......and he did!!

Lolly said...

No, ground reports this week. Though Paula said she heard from Randy who works there and he had not seen Lib. That does not mean he is not there but not good.

Some of the Nuitra System food is frozen. I am getting tired of it but a lot of it is good. I like the breakfasts and the lunches. Jack is so sweet to put up with my not cooking. I love to cook and so does he, there lies our problem. And, Jack is our bread maker too!

Lolly said...

Good for him! If I can loose weight, I think anyone can. It is fun to get on the scales and see the weight go away!

Linda said...

I like to cook when I have time, but not when I HAVE to every night.

Dennis does like to cook, bake and make bread. He has even mastered garlic rolls, pizza and calzones in this past year! And I wonder why I am having a weight problem!!

Donka Maria said...

Who's Maria?

Lolly said...

I'll be right over for the Calzones! LOL

I have been retired 11 years now. I am 67. Just before retiring, Jack was cooking all the evening meals. I was so tired. Now, we just love gourmet cooking. I get Bon Appitit and we search for recipes. We make some fantastic dishes. And, I say "we" because we do cook together.

Lolly said...

Aren't you Maria?

Come on over any time. You can visit with us, have calzones for dinner and visit with the bear, too!!

Lolly said...

Not you, Lynn...Donka Maria!

Lolly said...

Now I am in heaven! Calzones and a bear! LOL What more can I ask for? Oh, I know a little wine with the Calzone.

Lolly said...

Whoops!

*******NEW THREAD********

Let's head on over!

Linda said...

Oh, yes, of course!!

I even have that more than taken care of. We have more wine in this house than we can drink!! Maybe I shouldn't put this on a public blog!

My husband's niece and her husband own a business called Simply Home Brew. He has been making wine in his basement for years and recently bought this business. He makes mostly red wines, but some whites as well. They are always bringing us wine every time we see them. We'd a couple lushes if we drank as much as they give us!!

But some really good wines! I'm surprised he does so well. They have been doing it in his family for generations. Nice Italian family!!

Lynne2 said...

Joker says thanks for the birthday wishes but he'd really prefer some Pounce treats....

Happy Birthday to Goose and Maverick SusanP! Do you have a picture of them? I'll check your blog...

PA Lynn....knee troubles? I'm heading to the Ortho at 2:30 today, my knees are a mess. Barely able to do step today. UGH. What's up with your knees? Your kitten is too cute!

Donka Maria said...

I saw an earlier post from eagle-eyed Sharon that said Maria, Belle and Jerk were in the nest this morning. Was wondering who Maria was?!

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning! SNOW not here & so sorry you have to put up with it on
