I even have that more than taken care of. We have more wine in this house than we can drink!! Maybe I shouldn't put this on a public blog!
My husband's niece and her husband own a business called Simply Home Brew. He has been making wine in his basement for years and recently bought this business. He makes mostly red wines, but some whites as well. They are always bringing us wine every time we see them. We'd a couple lushes if we drank as much as they give us!!
But some really good wines! I'm surprised he does so well. They have been doing it in his family for generations. Nice Italian family!!
6:19 am heard a chirp, maybe 6:31 Truder arrives in nest, at the 1 o'clock spot 6:32 Belle arrived, same spot, Truder moves to center of nest 6:33 ? Belle disappears, did not see which way she left out of 6:33 Truder works the new little fluff-leaf spot then heads to the old nest cup 6:34 Blue screen invades the Live Feed Still Cam still down The End...not sure what is happening now, I can't get live feed back
Joker says thanks for the birthday wishes but he'd really prefer some Pounce treats....
Happy Birthday to Goose and Maverick SusanP! Do you have a picture of them? I'll check your blog...
PA Lynn....knee troubles? I'm heading to the Ortho at 2:30 today, my knees are a mess. Barely able to do step today. UGH. What's up with your knees? Your kitten is too cute!
Hello again - but no one knew I was over there so..... Good Morning! SNOW not here & so sorry you have to put up with it on April 1 to those that have it.. I realize they are working on the live feed - mine has been up for 17:4 & then I refreshed and the counter started - not sure how long it will go.
PA Lynn, wow, that sucks! I can walk OK. It's standing and sitting, and getting up and down stairs. Both are swollen, Right much more so. All the extra weight I carry is NOT helping. But I recently quit smoking and have discovered that I now have MUCH more stamina! Been running alot with the dogs! RICE is not helping.
Lynne2 - haven't figured out how to load pics into my blog (may have picked wrong starting format?) Will change my avatar to goose and Mav in a few - they like to snuggle together so have one of the two of them
Well, you're right on the extra weight. I read somewhere that one extra pound of weight was like 10 extra ounds on your knees. I won't tell you how many extra pounds I have on my knees now!!
Running is probably not a good idea with swollen and painful knees. They will probably recommend a lower impact form of exercise until your knees settle down.
They will probably do an MRI, which will tell them exactly what is going on.
I feel your pain, girl!! How come it is so easy to put on the weight and so hard to take it off!!!
Ok - here are our Mavy-Goose! We used to foster for a rescue group in No. VA and they were our first fosters. My husband didn't want us to foster cuz he figured I'd want to keep them all. BUT... a couple of days after we got these boys (they were 5 years old at the time) he said to me - they are awesome; you know we have to keep them! SO... who was the foster failure in our house - LOL!!?
Oh man is the snow ever coming down on Duke Farms. Both eagles were there. Just seen something neat. The eagle was laying on the eagles. Other eagle flew in. One on eggs raised up just enough for other eagle to roll the eggs. Then back down the eagle went onto eggs. Then the other that flew in flew back out. Now that is what I call "Partening"!!!
whoa.....PA Lynn, that translates to 800 extra pounds on my knees.....NO WONDER THEY HATE ME!!!!!!!!! I'm a ChocoSugarHolic. Which when I was younger, was fine. But yeah, after 40 things sure change!
This morning we have a confirmed sighting of two adult eagles in a tree located near the nest tree.
While we do not know the current whereabouts of the original male resident eagle, he was seen on March 21 and was not injured. Since then, we have not seen him. The new eagle, that we are now assuming is male, has been making trips to the nest on a daily basis. This indicates to us that the resident male eagle has either moved on or is not willing to come within a certain radius of the nest because of the new bird.
It is difficult to identify the gender of eagles: typically the female is larger (we initially assumed the new adult eagle was female because of its large size), but gender is confirmed by measuring the beak and halux (toe claw). Without capturing the new adult and measuring it - which would pose a potential risk to eagle - it is difficult to confirm whether it is male or female.
FYI - I will add that I do know that NCTC has searched the grounds for Liberty and will be conducting another search, in response to a "concerned citizen"

is anyone having a problem viewing the cam? Mine keeps stopping and starting. Didn't even see them fly in...... Cam is also pretty distorted. Just want to make sure it's not a problem on my end.
I just wish that Lib were up in the treetop and would JUMP down on Truder and be done with it. I know it's the wind making the noise but doesn't it really sound like eagles' wings.
Weather has been so crappy that today seems like an ace of a day, 43 overcast but no rain. snow.sleet and hail :) OO and sun peeking out
PA_Lynn I tore my medial meniscus also, doctor cleaned it out then cut the bad part of the meniscus, I gained 35 lb and dropped 40 then went back for a lateral release didn't go so well was suppose to be out of work for 6 to 8 months but police doctor put me back 1 month after surgery and it reinjured it, hence my very early retirement.
I put weight on after my back surgery and struggling with depression due to said back surgery to find out I had the psoriatic arthritis, invest in a total gym best investment to make in my opinion regarding health and weight loss.I own 2 first one was broken by my nephews other is new but I fear getting on it due to charley horses in my right leg. I was just thinking last night where should I open it as I am ready to get back on it...
? do you think the visit is really longer or is it because of the friggin camera keeps freezing and locking up jerky camera and bird seem over 20 min now HMMM Time is standing still in the nest from time to time
Just checked on the hummingbirds - watching those two chicks; makes me think of two kids shoving for space in the back seat (Mom, he's shoving me; hey - tell her to move over and give me room..>!)
I see T and B are STILL in the nest; really long visit! really hope they get the cam fixed soon cuz this is such a bad picture :-(
That's all we need is another "theory" on the mystery eagles!!
So....let's see....maybe there is another female and another male. Liberty and Belle are just having a bit of a spat, so they're trying to make each other jealous. The newbies take off together after Liberty and Belle get tired of the newbies and their immaturity. They realize they should stay together and all is well in the end?? How does that one sound?
Robyn your cam is not freezing and I have a clear color pic but it still freezes jerky moving as it was not a live but a refreshing ever few sec camera and it nice to be heard from yesterday was so scary we had a tornado that went right over where my daughter works she lost power and the tornado came in at Clearwater beach and bounced up and down for 115 miles lost of minor damage besides the airport in Lakeland lots of overturned small planes but we all survived YEAH
The live feed we had in 2006 was better than this. Awww, remembering when Steve made the announcement to us that we were going to have live feed and not 5-second or 30-second refreshes? Remember those good ole days?
I think the camera was sort of capturing shots every so many seconds. One shot was a blur looking like they were launching to take off and then next shot they were gone.
We believe the resident female is the eagle we're seeing visiting the nest with the new adult eagle, which we're now assuming is a male. Bald eagles are thought to mate for life if their situation remains stable. If one eagle dies, the remaining individual will take a new mate. In this case, it appears as though the resident female here at NCTC chose to remain with the nest and the territory that goes along with it and has accepted the new eagle. Because it is not likely that this pair will produce eggs this late in the season, we will have to watch carefully to see whether this newly formed pair mates in January.
JudyE glad everyone and everything is ok now. A friend I grew up with lives outside Tampa, she lost her power yesterday right after she made her pot of coffee, talk about luck ;).
This is my lucky day ! I decided I needed a break and sat down with a sandwich just as Hedgie said, "we have eagles on the nest". That was a good long run in spite of cam problems. Sure looked like Belle and Truder to me. I thought I caught sight of her inverted V neckline a couple of times and his black spot on the head was quite obvious. At least we know our Belle is okay. Glad there is a new search for Liberty. My fingers are crossed !
Thanks Mema-Jo, I know when I started watching earlier this season, I thought the male's behavior was different, but all of "Original" bloggers assured me it was Lib, something about his "crooked toe". Intruder had a very crooked toe on these screen captures. It was very easy to see with this new problem with the cam. So there is no possiblity that Lib was pecked on top of the head in any altercation, not even a fraction of a chance that we may not be perceiving the intruder bird as Lib? That Hans on the OD site kept saying it was Lib, but did not believe him, now seeing the toes, kinda makes me go "hmmmm?".
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I got a short look at Belle and Rudy when I opened the nest cam... Anything unusual happen during the visit?? They sure have the cam "zoomed out" this morning, don't they.
Donka, the cam is showing us a distorted image today....please look at the pictures of the intruder on the Yahoo group and you'll see it's not Liberty.
I think that idea some had about the male being Lib was wrong. Surely enough healing would have occured to make that spot all but invisible by now, had it been an injury. Besides, I also think this male is somewhat larger than Lib and Belle's claiming his spot on the nest is telling.
The NCTC post seems to make it clear that they feel this pair is Belle and a new male. They see a lot more than we do and their search is to be for Liberty, so I'm going with their theory !
Dana, I copied those posts from the Outdoor Channel Forum....posted by NCTC
A member of the Hancock Forum, who I do know, who follows Liberty and Belle, sent in a request to NCTC to conduct a ground search for Liberty. NCTC replied that they would. Steve also told me that they had searched for Liberty.
I was waiting for NCTC to make a statement this week before I posted that information...and I just found out that they were going to do a search late last night.
NCTC has assigned someone to report on the eagles, based in fact as much as possible, hopefully twice per week.
@Robyn, Sorry to hear of all your medical problems and injuries :( I never knew how valuable my knees were until I started having problems with them. I'd love to do some gardening in our yard, but can't kneel! Ugh!!
Arthritis never goes away, too! That is a real bummer. I guess you can feel those damp cold days in your joints. Poor thing!!
I also have scoliosis in my lower back along with a bulged/degenerated disc. I remember the orthopaedic doctor telling me 30 years ago the best thing I could do was to stay as thin as possible................but I failed miserably once I hit 40!
I agree, it was Belle and Rudie ... although I personally would much prefer it were Liberty.
I hope they find him alive and winging it; as far as I'm concerned, he's the best.
Don't forget he could mount a challenge for the nest himself again. K-01 on Catalina was MIA and thought dead for over 4 months; but he came back bigger and better than ever and retook the territory this season.
My knees aren't bad actually, when I work out they feel great, just with school and other things around the home and now cams keeps me a tad lazier. Weather we have been having doesn't help but the humidity of the summer for some reason makes me feel great and can spend hours in my garden if I chose.
That is the difference between osteo and ra types,ra tyes of arthritis can go into remission so I feel optimistic by the new meds I am going to start, I have major plans when I turn 50 :). And I am going to revel in each and every one of them.
I had to take my female Chi (the brown one) to the vet so missed the nest activity. Thanks for the nest activity posts.
Turns out she was bitten probably by a spider on the inside of her back leg and it was swelling rapidly. But after a shot of diphenhydramine and some topical spray to sooth the area she is much improved. The swelling went down with in a hour after the shot. The vet said it would make her sleepy so just may have to go cuddle with her while she naps. LOL
Do we have any more info regarding this search of Liberty. I am praying they spot him for sure and he is OK.
My name is Lynn and I'm a donut hog. Must confess that I ordered a DOZEN of my favorite peanut butter cream-filled donuts...so my weekend is going to be so sweet!! I think it's time to have one right now!
Oh...also want to tell you....I have made a big decision. I am going to withdraw from Momsters and Animal Advocates. I just don't have time for all of it, and there are other things I should be doing. So, dear friends, love to all...take care of yourselves....please think of me fondly when you remember me. Sayonara.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. Just today saw the crooked toe, and remember Wanda and Mema-Jo and Magpie talking about them. Hope everyone has a good day!
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. Just today saw the crooked toe, and remember Wanda and Mema-Jo and Magpie talking about them. Hope everyone has a good day!
someone post a little bit ago that the camera will do the refresh at 43 after and the stupid blue screen did show up exactly at 143 so I guess that may be something new just repeating what I saw earlier Ok now I got to go she is still taking a nap and I need to get busy Later
Robyn - Big plans, huh? You go girl!! Just hit those 50's myself last year and working on some plans myself! Life is too short not to be healthy and enjoy it!!
now that Lynn has gone.....Just an FYI. Keep this on the lowdown and don't let on to her that we know. She is NOT a MOMster, she is a MOBster!!! I know, because we got arrested last night on Facebook.....
Phoebe's chicks are bigger and bigger. They were just practicing the wing operations furiously. They still have some fluff amongst the feathers and their wings still look a little short; but I wouldn't be surprised if they fledged this weekend.
Well, Eagle eye, if ya must know, I was in town with my kid shopping for a prom dress :) And now I'm headed to the gh... And quit writing upside down, ¡ʇı pɐǝɹ oʇ ʞɔǝu ʎɯ sʇɹnɥ ʇı
Well, drat it all! Missed the visit and nest drama! However, Jack and I have a truck load of rock to do some landscaping with as well as a huge new pot to plant and decorate with. Life is good!
Lynn, you did not fool me! You love us too much! LOL And, we love you!
Sharon, I did turn my laptop upside down! LOL
Donka Marie......you did not offend anyone on here. We take a lot without getting offended and like everyone's opinion.
Checking in here so there won't be a silver alert. Have been really busy with studying for a nasty English exam (won't know how I did until next Wednesday), and trying to get some transcription done to turn in yesterday. Have been fighting some kind of virus off, too! Have just felt like c__p the last 2 days, with a headache and fever. Think I've beat it, though. Feel better today! Now have to get myself presentable and go to school to repackage my student loan for one more quarter. That will certainly uncomplicate much of my life!
Looks like everyone is going with pet avatars this week, so here's Emma.
I am not caught up much on the blog, but want you to know that I have been praying for everyone here, and asking God to sort it all out.
I'm glad to see that NCTC is going to search for Lib once again. Hoping and praying for a good report!
Well, I'd better go get my act together and head out to school. Gotta do this student loan thing asap! Wearing my Friday red! Have a good afternoon! :o]
To all those who commented on weight after 40, I am right there with you too! I used to eat candy bars and soda for lunch and not gain a pound. Now I look at it and gain a pound. And the more I think about dieting, the hungrier I get!
It must be April Fool's Day & all the jokes are on me here at work!!! I've only done one chore that hasn't turned to AARRGGHH!Doing little black vinyl w/adhesive backed feetsies for some animal tracks banners--4 kid's programs. They won't peel off their slicky backing paper w/out some paper sticking to them!!!Printer won't work even in grayscale because it's out of YELLOW ink!!!DUH! I don't even know where/if any ink is. Several other beasties like that---will spare you the details. Thx for letting me vent--only one here today. Briefly saw some comments--want to say I was glad no terrible weather calamities w/Judy E. in FL.Looked like it could be bad on TV weather the other night. Goota start another project xxxxxing everything so there will be no more glitches!!! Have a great afternoon!

Now I am in heaven! Calzones and a bear! LOL What more can I ask for? Oh, I know a little wine with the Calzone.
Lot of geese on the Decorah cam!
Lynn, I need to go eat a bite of breakfast and get ready to head out.
It has been great chatting with you. I'll be over as soon as you tell me the bear is making his appearance and the Calzone are heating up! LOL
Have a great day!
Oh, yes, of course, Lolly!!!

Your kitten is too cute!
oh, not only do I have color, but I have sound today!
Too funny. I was telling Maria that Belle and Jerk had been in the nest. :)
Hello again - but no one knew I was over there so.....
Good Morning! SNOW not here & so sorry you have to put up with it on
April 1 to those that have it..
I realize they are working on the live feed - mine has been up for 17:4 & then I refreshed and the counter started - not sure how long it will go.
Lynne2,
Good luck with your ortho.
Mine started with lots of pain when I walked. Minor swelling, but just a lot of pain. Got to where I could barely walk, too.
Torn meniscus in left knee in 2004 and in right knee in 2005. Had surgery in both knees. I don't think I followed through enough with the rehab!
Then I gained weight, which didn't help!
Sharon - I love you dearly but don't make me stand on my head... loL
The problem with torn meniscus is they can go in and clean it up to relieve the pain and you can tear it again in 6 months!!
That stuff doesn't repair itself!
Hi Jo!! Nice to see you!
Good to be here
Glad Judie said Hello
Glad Glo said Hello
Love the avatar of your kitties "spooning!!"
I agree with you Mema Jo I don't like "standing on my head Sharon" lol
Lynne2 - haven't figured out how to load pics into my blog (may have picked wrong starting format?) Will change my avatar to goose and Mav in a few - they like to snuggle together so have one of the two of them
Lynne2,
Well, you're right on the extra weight.
Until I hit 40 I NEVER had weight problems!!
SusanP, I figured it out! So anyone can do it!
SusapP,
They're so cute. They look like my Mom's two cats. They're always together and so loving and friendly!!
checking in to click box and what a glorious day no rain no storms YEAH

Lynne2 - I'll play with my blog this weekend and see if I can figure out actualy DOING something with it other than changing my profile pic...
Really windy at Loch of Lowes. While they are trying to do nestorations.
awww, they are adorable!!!
My cats all dislike each other. I'd NEVER find them cuddled up like that or spooned like Jo's.
Thanks Paula
Hi T-Bird! Are you making dough today?
Eagle-eye, I thinks you have lost it.
Do you want me to hang upside down from the ceiling to read that?
I'm missing it. It only takes a little something different to blow my mind. I can't figure it out. Okay, that is my pity pot rationalization. : )
whoa.....PA Lynn, that translates to 800 extra pounds on my knees.....NO WONDER THEY HATE ME!!!!!!!!!
I'm a ChocoSugarHolic. Which when I was younger, was fine. But yeah, after 40 things sure change!
Decorah nest exchange....
Decorah - maybe we can check the eggs....
nope.....not this time.
Lynne2,
Yeah that about sums it up for me. I love the carbs, too!! Loaded bake potatoes, fresh baked breads, pasta.....need I say more?
Lord have mercy.
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY EVERYBODY!
Thanks, Sharon.
We can all turn right side up again and get that blood flowing back down to our feet!!! LOL ☺☺
Decorah nest expecting hatch anytime today.
MemaJo,
Watching for that one!!!
Morning everyone.
Ok I am all caught up on postings and I am going to ask... What is the prize and what did I do to get it?
I have red on.
I see we are still have camera issues.
Yeah you all got to see Belle. Thats great. The ole girl had me worried.
Decorah - Egg roll
No chicks yet!
Darn I missed getting a capture but I did see a pip.
From NCTC posted on the OD Forum

NCTC is trying to provide a fact based report, this is why they cannot confirm the new eagle is a male....but we know :)
what the heck does THAT mean? That's kind of worrisome....
thanks for the info Paula.
Do you think that means that someone saw Liberty in bad shape somewhere?
I am glad that NCTC has been searching.
Paula,
Wasn't there an intruder problem a few years back at NBG where they thought the same thing happened, but that the next year the original pair came back and had a clutch successfully without incident?
Paula Who wrote that information?
Hello all.
Not caught up, but we have eagles in the nest. Picture is mostly bad. THey are looking UP---at ?????
It is not a good stream---herky-jerky, blurred action and pauses.
surprise visit nice
Distortion makes it impossible to see detail. But it does appear to be turd bird and Belle.
I can see the spot on the Truder eagle.......or JERK as Sharon calls him!!
Good pic but refreshing about 5 sec
Yep, it is herky Jerky and Belle.
It's looking like the CRC cam where you get a screen shot every so many seconds. Too bad they're still having problems with the camera.
is anyone having a problem viewing the cam? Mine keeps stopping and starting. Didn't even see them fly in...... Cam is also pretty distorted. Just want to make sure it's not a problem on my end.
Oh well, PA Lynn just answered my question! thanks!
Maria,
The camera is still not working properly. We're all having the same problem.
Wonder what they keep looking at.
Something is distracting them
I wonder Who.......
Yes PA Lynn,it was a female intruder in 2008
Brief summary of NBG nest
He's always digging in that nest cup......
Look at all the holes in that nest now.
MemaJo............Maybe it's Liberty!!
Thanks, Lynne2. I'll read that!
They were beaking !!! I have the picture!!!
I thought Liberty too then I seen them beaking. So if that is Liberty then the one with the black spot on head is a female!!!
OH no...
Picked a not so good time to do that
OD techs
Lynne2,
If that was a link, it didn't work.
They're definitely having problems with their camera the computer! Just saw their desktop!
It's not NICE to mess up the cam when the eagles are there! Blue screen, then text...then blob....now back to jerky birds.
I don't like the distortion I am recording with with my camera on a tripod I am such a dork
I'm really not going there with your thoughts..... To me it's Truder &
Belle....... But I'll think about it later.........
There was beaking again.
They sure have been in the nest a long time.
The way that one sits in the back --- reminds me of Liberty!!
Yup, Truder and Belle
seem to be spending longer time in nest this time I think of is it just seem that way with the camera freezing all the time
I like the color anyway
Just 1 Jerky bird Lynn and then there's Belle! :)
Well look how big the one with black spot on head looks compared to the one sitting in the back????
I just wish that Lib were up in the treetop and would JUMP down on Truder
and be done with it. I know it's the
wind making the noise but doesn't it really sound like eagles' wings.
LOVE THE COLOR OF THE CAM!!
Nice to see Belle is doing well.

I was just thinking last night where should I open it as I am ready to get back on it...
Truder is ruffling his feathers.
ANybody else noticing the "crooked toes" on Turd Bird?
What is this about it may be lib and new female? Nope not sure I can believe that but then again who knows ...
I can "not" remember Belle sitting in Liberty's spot. If she did it was not very often.
Lynne2 - someone asked NCTC to do another search for Liberty, and they said they would. Does not necessarily mean bad news concerning Lib.
Man I would love to see what they keep looking at.
I also don't recall Belle ever taking up with the first jerk that came around but she did, so everything is a changing.
? do you think the visit is really longer or is it because of the friggin camera keeps freezing and locking up jerky camera and bird seem over 20 min now HMMM Time is standing still in the nest from time to time
Cam is absolutely terrible...
This behavior is really really weird.
Just checked on the hummingbirds - watching those two chicks; makes me think of two kids shoving for space in the back seat (Mom, he's shoving me; hey - tell her to move over and give me room..>!)
I see T and B are STILL in the nest; really long visit! really hope they get the cam fixed soon cuz this is such a bad picture :-(
Are any of our Old Timers able to confirm the crooked toes on the intruder are not Lib's?
Birds are still moving...
I can't get anything right now! Are they in the nest still?
That's all we need is another "theory" on the mystery eagles!!
So....let's see....maybe there is another female and another male. Liberty and Belle are just having a bit of a spat, so they're trying to make each other jealous. The newbies take off together after Liberty and Belle get tired of the newbies and their immaturity. They realize they should stay together and all is well in the end?? How does that one sound?
SusanP could you post the link to the hummingbirds?
Funny if it is a male how it likes the "egg cup" which normally a female would like????
Had to restart, got it now.
Ok my head is spinning now...
Maybe Belle is just protecting Liberty's spot!!
well now, who has enough CLOUT that they can ask NCTC to do a search for Lib and we didn't have so much luck
JudyE, nice to see you! Saw about all the horrid weather down your way.
PA Lynn, try this one....read from the bottom of the page up.
NBG Eagle Nest Archives 2008
Lib was always interested in the egg cup. Check out Belle's feather on front of collar. I saw an inverted "V"
Something is distracting both of them
Heads are turning the same way every which way.
I have a crystal clear pic... both in nest truder on right Belle near edge at 11. Truder on old nest cup or very close to where it was.
Looking off different directions. truder still has spot I see...
When the on that is sitting in Liberty's spot. From the wind blowing it had a black spot for awhile lol
Donka Maria - We are really going by the mark on the head to say it is an
intruder and not Lib
sure wish we knew what they's a lookin' at!
Thanks Lynne2
Poof!
poof
POOF POOF
Ok what was that... poof and gone.
what just happened??? Didn't see them fly away!
that was weird when they left a blurr
I kept looking out of the nest trying to catch something flying under - did
not see anything..........
JudyE - Glad you're all right. That was some nasty weather you had. I went to Florida Southern College in Lakeland and know that area well.
The live feed we had in 2006 was better than this. Awww, remembering when Steve made the announcement to us that we were going to have live feed and not 5-second or 30-second refreshes? Remember those good ole days?
?? Have they ever done a afternoon visit in the past???
I think the camera was sort of capturing shots every so many seconds. One shot was a blur looking like they were launching to take off and then next shot they were gone.
Another NCTC post on the OD forum
We believe the resident female is the eagle we're seeing visiting the nest with the new adult eagle, which we're now assuming is a male. Bald eagles are thought to mate for life if their situation remains stable. If one eagle dies, the remaining individual will take a new mate. In this case, it appears as though the resident female here at NCTC chose to remain with the nest and the territory that goes along with it and has accepted the new eagle. Because it is not likely that this pair will produce eggs this late in the season, we will have to watch carefully to see whether this newly formed pair mates in January.
Leona - don't have my cheat sheet how to do a real link, but the URL for the hummingbirds is www.sportsmanparadiseonline.com/live_hummingbird_cam.html
Hope that all comes thru
Leona - last word of that url is live_hummingbird_cam.html
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Good Morning,
Everyone.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I got a short look at Belle and Rudy when I opened the nest cam... Anything unusual happen during the visit??
They sure have the cam "zoomed out" this morning, don't they.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Thanks I got the link just fine.
Hey Ya'll, they have the cam on some sort of auto refresh...it happens at 43 minutes past the hour
Leona - sorry, just saw I have a typo in the main part. it is
www.sportsmansparadiseonline.com
so plural on sportsman...
guess I really need to find the cheat sheet on how to do a real link
Donka Marie was wondering who Maria is........you both need to be here at the same time to introduce yourselves!!!
P-l-e-a-s-e...let's not confuse the issue any further by conjecturing that it is Lib and a Trudy!
Paula, any indication of who asked for the search??? Or what prompted the request????
Where on the cam are you all reading this?
The NCTC post seems to make it clear that they feel this pair is Belle and a new male. They see a lot more than we do and their search is to be for Liberty, so I'm going with their theory !
Dana,
I copied those posts from the Outdoor Channel Forum....posted by NCTC
A member of the Hancock Forum, who I do know, who follows Liberty and Belle, sent in a request to NCTC to conduct a ground search for Liberty. NCTC replied that they would. Steve also told me that they had searched for Liberty.
I was waiting for NCTC to make a statement this week before I posted that information...and I just found out that they were going to do a search late last night.
NCTC has assigned someone to report on the eagles, based in fact as much as possible, hopefully twice per week.
@Robyn,
Sorry to hear of all your medical problems and injuries :( I never knew how valuable my knees were until I started having problems with them.
Taking a break while we have an MT nest
BBILW
Me, too, Jo. Back to work I go !
For those who would like to see a picture of a young adult eagle with brown feathers on it's head go to this link.
Young Eagle
I agree, it was Belle and Rudie ... although I personally would much prefer it were Liberty.
I hope they find him alive and winging it; as far as I'm concerned, he's the best.
Don't forget he could mount a challenge for the nest himself again. K-01 on Catalina was MIA and thought dead for over 4 months; but he came back bigger and better than ever and retook the territory this season.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
My knees aren't bad actually, when I work out they feel great, just with school and other things around the home and now cams keeps me a tad lazier. Weather we have been having doesn't help but the humidity of the summer for some reason makes me feel great and can spend hours in my garden if I chose.
That is the difference between osteo and ra types,ra tyes of arthritis can go into remission so I feel optimistic by the new meds I am going to start, I have major plans when I turn 50 :). And I am going to revel in each and every one of them.
I hate to sound suspicious, but are we sure the postings are from NCTC? Don't they usually post any updates below the chat?
Shar, how in the world did you do that upside-down type????
Oh-oh....cam blue again.
And now not. What a mess.
I think it's time to have one right now!
my cam is running and NOT blue.
Need to leave for the Dr now. Hoping to come home with better knees....as in, GIVE ME A CORTISONE SHOT!
Hedgie, go to google and type in upside down text and you will find it.

Oh...also want to tell you....I have made a big decision. I am going to withdraw from Momsters and Animal Advocates. I just don't have time for all of it, and there are other things I should be doing. So, dear friends, love to all...take care of yourselves....please think of me fondly when you remember me. Sayonara.
APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!!
Grannie,glad your pup is OK!
LYNN..............you're killing me here. LOL!
BBL
Haven't even started reading the papers today......donut and papers coming up. BBL!
Crap, my heart was sinking when I was reading that Hedgie. You got me!
Lynn (hedgie) You ENJOY those donuts, girl!!
Lynne2 - Prayers for your knees today!
Robyn - Big plans, huh? You go girl!! Just hit those 50's myself last year and working on some plans myself! Life is too short not to be healthy and enjoy it!!
Christine...NCTC is signed up to post on the OD forum...it has been veried they are from NCTC
They will probably post an update later below the cam and on the NCTC website....
Donka Maria, you didn't offend anyone. Everyone has a right to their opinion!
LYnn, you got me too...I was thinking WTF???
I need to run to town.
BBL
now that Lynn has gone.....Just an FYI. Keep this on the lowdown and don't let on to her that we know. She is NOT a MOMster, she is a MOBster!!! I know, because we got arrested last night on Facebook.....
Thank You Eagle Eyed Sharon. It was wishful thinking on my part!!
Where is Megan? Yoohooo! Floralgirl, where are you?
Phoebe's chicks are bigger and bigger. They were just practicing the wing operations furiously. They still have some fluff amongst the feathers and their wings still look a little short; but I wouldn't be surprised if they fledged this weekend.

Nest exchange and something brought back to eat at Decorah
Decorah - Mom didn't get off the nest, so Dad left!
Well, Eagle eye, if ya must know, I was in town with my kid shopping for a prom dress :)
And now I'm headed to the gh...

Decorah Egg is hatching. Mom moved enough to see a rather large hole in the egg.
Okay, now, back to work. Bye guys!
thanks for posting the nctc updates Paula:)
Both Channel Island Reports for this week have been posted. Just scroll about halfway down the page::

Hi, Everyone!
Well, see you all later....
Remember it's April Fool's day. Be careful.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
GrannieKay,
Did you see one or two eggs pipping at Decorah? I thought I saw 2 eggs pipping this morning...
This is Hairy Butt. Sometimes I just call him Butt, sometimes Hair, sometimes Hairy, sometimes the Butt man.
To all those who commented on weight after 40, I am right there with you too!
I used to eat candy bars and soda for lunch and not gain a pound. Now I look at it and gain a pound. And the more I think about dieting, the hungrier I get!
