I had a busy day on the front proch cleaning my bird feeders in the sunshine. I didn't get them cleaned before Fall last year.

I hear theat plane in the house and on the computer at the same time... strange... I'm gonna ask to change plans for Friday. I might be there... The flood got into the prism and about a foot away from the road. Molly goes and looks at the water but would never get close. That night when it got good and dark the sounds from the flood and the water going over that dam was wonderful. You can feel the pounding of the trees as they twirl up and down under the surface of the water. Its impressive to say the least.
I'm back from my unscheduled trip to town.

I see we may have a pip. I haven't seen anything...just got home a bit ago. But Lib or whoever is in the nest looks to be more propped up on his wings rather than mantling. Like the NBG eagle was just before hatching. Almost like he's giving the chick room to move and breath. But no WUSHI???
I also see we have no zoom. UGH. I must say, I sure had higher expectations for this new cam. I am sorry to say that it's been a real disappointment what with the no color, sporadic sound, no zooming, no night light....I'm happy to HAVE a cam and don't mean to sound ungrateful, but geesh....

There must certainly be a chicklet knocking on one of those egglets. Belle just popped her head up and raised herself up slightly, then lowered herself and tucked her head under her wing. Hi everyone. It's late and I'm checking in to see if we have an eaglet yet. But guess not.
I thought I was on the path to recovery and had a relapse Sunday so now I'll have to go to the doctor's. Bad sinus infection is my diagnosis, but there is a cough too. Feel like crud.
I'll try to check in on our couple for the eagle landing but if anyone has time, please send an email since Jim & I use the same account he can inform me. TIA

In all my early morning hours watching the nest, I've never seen Belle looking so alert in the darkness. I can see her head going from side to side. It's her beak that makes the motion easy to see.

An animal keeper at the San Diego Zoo was injured after she was bitten by a panda on Sunday, zoo officials said on Monday.
A zoo spokeswoman told 10News the incident happened around 7 a.m. Sunday when a group of panda keepers working at the exhibit before the park opened had an unexpected visitor.
"We do know that a security protocol was not followed… that a door was not securely latched and that allowed the panda to get into the behind-the-scenes area," said San Diego Zoo spokeswoman Christine Simmons.
While trying to coax the giant panda, Bai Yun, back into her habitat, a female handler was attacked and bitten by the bear. The woman was rushed to the hospital and treated for her injuries. Because of privacy laws, the zoo would not release where the handler was bitten or her condition.
The zoo would not disclose the exact layout of the exhibit but said the handlers were behind the pandas in a wire enclosure with a wire-frame door.
Riley Beard, who drove from Texas to see the pandas, said she learned these cute and cuddly bears can also be aggressive.
"They looked all cute and cuddly like I could hold them and hug them and stuff," said Beard. "I didn't know a panda would attack a person, really."
Simmons said, "Pandas are bears and can be very volatile [and] aggressive animals… We don't know what triggered the bite itself."
She said this is the first time a panda has ever attacked anyone at the San Diego Zoo.
10News learned all zoo employees will have to review all of their safety procedures.
I just couldn't quite tell what that was on the egg,time will tell.
Sorry they didn't zoom it yet, but this cam runs way better than some of the others we've had, so I'm not complaining. Just grateful for what we have:)
