I got an ALERT ! Thanks Lolly ! Thanks Steve for the fresh thread!
I am stretching my neck trying to see what is going on down in NBG egg cup I am anxiously waiting for the adult to pick up a half shell out of it. The moderator agrees that something very interesting is going on in the egg cup (nest bowl)
Hello Judie! You rem9nder me that the Moon notice was on the older thread, so here it is again. ********************************** My grandson, Aaron Kyle Lennox said that on March 19th, the moon will be closer to Earth than it's been since 1992. The full moon that night will appear about 14 percent larger and significantly brighter than usual. ******************************* That is a Saturday night and we are all going to hope for clear skies mainly because our nest should have 2 chicks for us to watch!
One night during the Great Plague of 2011, I had a fever of 102. First I was freezing and under blankets, but as happened each time I spiked a fever, I would then get extremely hot. Then the fever would break, then it would start all over again. Anyway, this particular night was the night it snowed. I was SOOOOO hot, so I went out onto the sunporch and opened the door out to the patio to get some cold breeze. As I was standing there, her comes a little ole SKUNK trotting past the patio!!! He was no more than 10 feet from me. And very cute! And I am ever so thankful that he didn't stop and get mad at me!
Also, on Tues evening, I was babysitting and the girls and I went out to see the "Space Ship" fly over! Samantha is 3 and it was not easy trying to explain Space Station to her so I modified. Sydney is only 2 and just didn't quite get it, but she did see it fly over. Sam kept asking why it wouldn't come and land in the yard! I didn't see the Shuttle though...
Hi everybody. Stalking and wanted to jump on here and say hey and hope all are having a good Friday evening. Hopefully it's going to be a hatching time for us and for NBG.
Just finished my dinner. Kathryn and Hunter are at the divorce group thing at church again tonight. Luna got to spend the day at home. I just gave her the three kinds of eye drops she requires.
Lynne2, sometimes high fevers can cause delusions. Are you sure you saw a skunk that didn't get mad? lol So happy to see you came in tonight and very happy you are better. Hi to Steve.
Hi Diann, sure hope you will feel better quickly.
Hi Shirley. Sure wishing you a quiet evening. Speaking of students copying from others, mine turned in their first assignment. We have automatic submission for plagiarism matches. Truly disheartening. Many matches to other published documents, including "paper by another student." One student had 30% match. So, I feel your pain. Sad, isn't it?
Okay, off to watch a few minutes of mindless t.v. BBL
Yes, Judie. It is sad. I have one young lady who swears that she will not take a book home. She is trying to graduate early and I think she has come up with a plan. The past two tests, she has been absent. I figure she expects to get the answers from someone else. She's also the one I suspect of copying her homework. She is living dangerously.
Judie and Lynne----good to hear from you both! Was worried about you gals last night. Skunk, huh? You were very lucky! Judie, guess what? NO DILATION! He has a new instrument that allows him to see everything as IF pupils WERE dilated! How nice that is! Carolyn was glad she didn't have to read me the menu! We had a yummy dinner.
Talk about a yummy dinner...no one, I repeat, no one had a dinner as yummy as we had. OMG! It was delightful! Now, we will see what the scales say tomorrow. LOL But, really, I do not care. We had a delightful evening.
Jack has settled in the study to see the STARS play and I am going to check out last nights Grey's.
Since you all heard us talking about our local doughboy death, here is the latest and, I guess, final word.......no Capitol Rotunda receiving....all of 6 hrs. at Arlington.....what a disservice. Mr. Buckles
Good Evening - later than I thought it would be. I am sure the Potomac is very swollen - so Donnie keep your oars by your side just in case.
We did get a Pizza and strolled through Marshall's new store. Isles are too close and merchandise poorly displayed. Too crowded to really check things out.
Shirley, glad Luna is doing okay even with the poor eyesight. Bless her and all of you. Do Flash and George seem to notice Luna's difficulty?
As for the student, well, I guess I'm going to have a more intense Spring break than I planned. Have to check all the "matches" and that's probably 50 student papers.
Lynne2, so glad it was really a skunk. Was going to warn you off the meds.
Jo, sorry the Marshall's is a disappointment but sure hope the pizza made up for it.
The decision about Cpl. Buckles is a sad commentary. Maybe Boehner was afraid he would cry yet again. Regardless, Cpl. Buckles will rest in peace knowing he served his country and was appreciated by many he did not even know.
Can't imagine an eye exam without pupil dilation. Was due for an eye exam in January but dr. doesn't make house calls. Will go this summer. Interested to find out about no pupil dilation.
I hear the sandperson sneaking down the hallway pretending to be a dish of ice cream (trying to entice me). So, it is time to think about turning my light off. Will leave the night light on for others coming in, headed back the hallway, to the tub, up the stairs, and just stumbling around in the dark.
Be back tomorrow...
Oh, congratulations on the yummy dinner Lolly and on the weight loss.
Thank you, BEagle. I think we have learned a lot about wildlife from cams. I wasn't trying to be critical, and I hope I wasn't, I really was just wanted to point out some new things we had observed in eagle behavior.
I read the commentary article from the Lily update...lots of comments back and forth supporting each view. I certainly would like to see them protected. Dr Lynn still has a fight on his hands.

Hi, Eagle Gang! Dropping back in to say hi and goodnight. Guess what--we got our Emma portraits that we had taken at Petco! My avatar is the one we got on a disk so we could share it. We took Emma to the dog park again late this afternoon, and she actually knew where we were going! She went a little nuts when we got near the park! This time she made friends with a Scottie, 3 Boston Terriers, a Weimaraner, a Golden Retriever, a very old Beagle, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a Cocker Spaniel, a Border Collie, and about 4 mutts, who were very cute. She makes friends with all the people there, too! She's a real social butterfly.
Gee, Tom WAS busy tonight. No wonder I couldn't get his full attention!
Well, I am beat. Tubby time for me. Mai is ready to bed down for the night, and I will be soon. See you all in the morning light....prayers for all, especially all those affected by the quake and tsunami and the aftermath. Fairfax Co. Search and Rescue is already on their way.
Well, need to say goodnight and give my eyes a rest. Prayers have been said for everyone and their pet(s). The night light is already on (thanks, Judie!), and I'm checking to make sure the porch light is on, too. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are both enabled. Sleep well, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Well, I think I did fall unto my keyboard. Jack just said to me..."you're awake now?' Sitting here with the puter on my lap. Sure was not with no Tom. LOL Anyway, heading to the shower and then to bed.
What a day! As I went about my business during a beautiful day, I thought about the people in Japan. Just can not fathom the terror and devastation! God be with them.
haven't really had to time to catch up all the blog posts from yesterday but will work on that
my heart is with all of yours for the tragedy in Japan. I have one niece (by marriage) who is from Japan and has family there...she has not made contact with them at last check. Another niece, also by marriage, same situation but she has heard from her family, they are okay
right about now I wish we had 15-second refreshes on OUR still cam would help me out a lot right about now... don't forget we have a E-M album for March going !
Can definitely see they made the switch and LIB is on the nest now.
Thanks to PAULA, WANDA, JO for all the eagle I-D tutoring - just got lucky looking at Belle for so long this morning! Or is that Belle? Still need help! :o)
Kate is doing much better. Thanks for asking, Margy. She is doing rehab and the exercises they give her faithfully and it's making a big difference. She said thanks for asking, too.
and I hope everyone can get out in the nice weather if you have it in your area....I will stick my head out the door from work and try to soak up some Sunshine from time to time !
Okay Lori - Belle is generally darker, Liberty is generally lighter... somtimes Liberty shows a little white tuft on one of his shoulders.... and more experts on here will add to that description, for sure !
Sorry, Margy, I slept in- so rarely happens- today's nest weather- 38° here now- Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Morning all, have a great day everybody!
Margy I know your not here. I seen your comment about Fairfax Rescue. Didn't I tell you all in earlier comments. They usually go to these type of things. My old neighbors son has been to so many of them. God Bless them and their families while they look for suvivors. In such unsafe conditions. Prayers for those in Japan.
Hello Lynne! I love, love bluebirds! A bigger camera lense will come in handy in taking pictures of them. Some years I have them, some I don't. Lucky you!
AndyLove the new Emma portrait avatar. Sounds like she had a blast at the dogie park.
My daughter when she lived in Florida use to take her Bullmastiff to a dogie park. Of course it played with the bigger dogs. Although many little dogs he played with too there. After the owners seen how gentle he was.
well, I don't care if the calendar says spring doesn't start for another week and a half....it's been spring here for some time already!
Cool Dana! Hope they raise some babies!
Lori, last year, the pair raised 2 clutches successfully...the first was 5 and the second was 4 babies. The year before last......well, there was a Black Rat Snake incident.
Lynne2 I have had a bluebird house. One year I set for house on my porch. I told them here in the blog that year. If I can set for hours to watch an eaglet fledge. I was going to see my 3 blue birds fledge. Under the unbrella I kept waiting and waiting. It finally happened. What amazed me there was a shed right near the nest for the babies to flege too. No they went straight up high onto the telephone lines. It was something to see.
So I am hoping for a pair this year. Last year with Ed so sick I just let the sparrow have the box. Not this year I want my Bluebirds !! ( :
Good morning! Looks like a lovely day! Lori, are you off today? Hope so----do you try to follow the same sleep/wake pattern every day, working or not? Probably very wise if you do. BTW----NBG would be the same as us for dawning! It's in Norfolk,Va.
Very disappointed that NCTC did not zoom the cam in for the weekend.....so hoping that we do NOT have a hatch. :(
Margy, have a good shift. Sorry you are pulled in for tomorrow, too.
Good Morning, Everyone! Hi, Lynn, just saw Belle do an egg roll and settle down and readjust some flugg a few minutes ago. Can hear the wind blowing at the nest, but at least it looks sunny for now. Oops! Sounds like Emma is awake again. Took her outside about 30 minutes ago, and she had fallen asleep again. Guess I'd better go see what she's up to. Could use some coffee, too. Hope everyone has a great Saturday! Margy, hope you have a fairly uneventful shift at work! Will be back later today when I take a break from homework. :o]
Pulling a Margy here-- Dana, glad you like the new Emma avatar. Sure hope a pair of bluebirds shows up real soon at your birdhouse! I'm with you--LOTS of prayers for those in Japan! Sure hope they are able to cool down those nuclear reactors! SCARY situaton! Lord, please help!
LYNNE - If you like bluebirds, surely you've seen that Mad Bluebird photo. It's adorable. The man who took it lives in Maryland and not far from Frederick.
Now, two bb clutches!?!?! That's just insanely great. I'd have been dancing and putting a cam on them! :)
Good morning everyone. I think Norfolk will see a hatch today. I wish NCTC had zoomed in for us for the weekend too. I think its a good start in learning to deal with the fact that we will not have any control over when it zooms and when it doesn't. We wouldn't even miss it if we didn't know it was there. I think it will be early next week for our little one. I hope so anyway.
I feel a little better today than yesterday. Its a good thing. I don't think I sound better since it is finally breaking up some BUT unless the phone rings no one will have to listen to me today except for Dex and well he already knows "Mommy is sick".
Hallmark is running and I Love Lucy marathon this weekend. That will be a nice break from all the recent and ongoing tragedy all over the news.
Prayers for all the concerns I am aware of and unaware of. He knows the need and I am glad for that.
Sorry I went off without saying goodnight last night. I got so sleepy that I just went to bed. Kathryn and Hunter came in awhile later. As Kathryn said, their arrival is never quiet. There has to be barking and rearranging of animals. George must run downstairs to see what is going on and try to get more food.
Judie, I have seen some of the programs that enable you to check for plagiarism, but I haven't had to trace a series of hits like the ones you are describing. It has to be frustrating. I am getting ready to do the research paper with my seniors. I will insist on having as much of the work as possible being done in the classroom under supervision. Of course, that takes time.
I did have one college student turn in two essays copied word-for-word from magazines that the librarian helped me find right in the college library. Believe it or not, I was told that the penalty was not an automatic failure of the course. I had to make the call. I really did not have any trouble deciding that someone who copied two essays did not deserve to pass.
It is a precious photo. The guy at the bird store said the photog just had the camera set to take pics every so many seconds or minutes. He had several hundred or thousand of frames to go though and amazingly discovered he had that photo of the Bluebird. Lucky guy.
Lori, I have a framed pic of the Mad Bluebird in my kitchen! My MIL gave it to me! It has a card on the back with the photographer's info and how he got the picture.
There are pics on my blog of the first clutch of BBs from last year if you want to see them.
Glo, glad you are feeling a little better today. Yep, I agree...I Love Lucy reruns will be a much needed break from the earthquake news.
I checked on NBG. At first, you could tell she was concentrating on what's under her. They may be squirming under her. That may not be a good word for it.
Dana, they first started the nest in mid April last year. Babies fledged around May 20. A couple of weeks later they laid the second clutch. There are 2 sets of pics on my blog....eggs, and then in a later post, the babies.
After the second clutch was fledged, I emptied the old nesting material out of the box.
They tried to take the box out front, but the house sparrow fought them for it (and I chased the house sparrow away every time I saw him). In the end, neither used that box. The BBs used another one nearby.
[Comment From Deb Deb: ] It definitely looked like she pulled something white out of the nest bowl this morning and ate it. I know you said they eat the egg shell for calcium-any chance that is what was going on?

Thanks Steve for the fresh thread!
I am stretching my neck trying to see what is going on down in NBG egg cup
I am anxiously waiting for the adult to pick up a half shell out of it.
The moderator agrees that something very interesting is going on in the egg cup (nest bowl)
BWE chicks are all laid out in the open!
Our eggs are still being incubated but
it won't be long now!
I am taking a break BBILW
You are quite welcome, Jo. ☺ Have finally loaded all the pics I took this morning. Now I need to do a little house straightening and get back outside.
Belle is up off the eggs, now off to the right.

Eagle back from the left.
Might be Lib, not sure
Mom at NBG looked like she was listening to the eggs before she switched with Dad

Anybody know what the dark item at the right is??
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
The Hummingbird site is on "hatch watch" today also.
Wind's blowing like H..., but it's calm here, which is just a few miles away from Irvine.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Hi, Jim!
We were wondering how your family is, re the tsunami warnings. Are they near the shoreline?
Hi to everyone else too, of course. I'm taking a bit of a break from my transcription homework--gotta think about some lunch soon.
Okay, that stick at the front of Belle(?) has got to go!
I think the dark stuff is leaves...
Yup, gotta move that stick!
OK who put that stick there anyway. Hmmmm
I guess the wind did it! Lib should move it since he is the 'handy man' of the nest.
NBG still nothing to report..
BWE chicks sure have been uncovered for some time. Looks like the smallest one gets between the two larger ones for warmth.
Well, here it is morning already -- clock seems to be confused as it is saying 3:38pm in the afternoon. Stupid clock!
Very sad news about the effects of the tsunami in Japan. Tragic event. Prayers for all.
Andy, sorry you have sooooo much transcription work to do but it will pay off -- literally.
Hope all the CA folks stay safe and reasonably dry.
Mema Jo, will mark my calendar for March 19. Thank Aaron for us.
Glo, glad you and Dex got out for a little while. Hope you feel better soon.
Lynn, hope you enjoy dinner at Logan's with Carolyn. Also hope your pupils have returned to normal so you can read the menu.
Guess I need to rev up the Falcon watching.
Seems as if NBG is getting close now.
Our nest looks windy but quiet. Need to check back.
Have checked in on Ted and Lucky a couple of times and they have been tussling around quite a bit.
Cool video of Dr. Rogers and Jason (human) being warned off by Lily. Would have scared the peapods out of me.
Savannah & Derek have a couple of good looking babes.
Blackwater babes are getting big.
Need to go back to work. BBL
cHeck the "Po" baby at Atlanta today.

Paula have you gone over yet?
Probably will get a pizza afterwards
so BBL
Thanks, Jo. Didn't know it was open!
Lib backed up off the eggs and flew off to the right
Either chase something away, because was looking intently towards the right before taking off, and looking over there now, too.
Or had to do a poop shoot. Heard bird land in the tree, then went down into the nest.
Same eagle on the eggs.
Harrisburg has an egg.
Hi everyone. Going to catch up
Something is really interesting off to the right. Still looking ...
hello again!
Had some things I forgot to share....
One night during the Great Plague of 2011, I had a fever of 102. First I was freezing and under blankets, but as happened each time I spiked a fever, I would then get extremely hot. Sydney is only 2 and just didn't quite get it, but she did see it fly over. Sam kept asking why it wouldn't come and land in the yard! I didn't see the Shuttle though...
off to feed the beasts...
Guess I was late with falcon news, but that's okay. I'm usually late.
Wish this fever would stop. Lynne, that's exactly how I'm feeling. Chills then hot flashes and it's not menopause.
Almost supper time so I'll go to the kitchen and get warm while Jim makes the fish (yuk). Will try to come back later.
Belle is back on egg duty :)
Aw, that's cute about the kids and the skunk, Lynne.
Water over the toepath now. It's getting pretty deep now.
Hello!
NBG is looking down at her belly. What's going on there?
Hi everybody. Stalking and wanted to jump on here and say hey and hope all are having a good Friday evening. Hopefully it's going to be a hatching time for us and for NBG.
Hi Susan and Beagle :)
I think they're hearing something, BEagle ☺
I have voted for Mai
Hi,
Just finished my dinner. Kathryn and Hunter are at the divorce group thing at church again tonight. Luna got to spend the day at home. I just gave her the three kinds of eye drops she requires.
I have to wait awhile to vote.
Good evening. Playing catch-up.....Margy texted---she is having to reload security on her puter and it is taking HOURS! She wanted me to let you know.
Donnie if water is over the towpath. Is there any danger of it coming into your flower beds or your home?
Lynne2, sometimes high fevers can cause delusions. Are you sure you saw a skunk that didn't get mad? lol So happy to see you came in tonight and very happy you are better. Hi to Steve.

LOL Judie!! I'm PRETTY sure it was a real skunk and not a delusion!
Shirley, how is Luna doing??
Luna is doing well. Her vision is quite diminished, but she is seeing some.
well, she'll adjust quickly I'm sure! Dogs just seem to do OK with poor vision.
Judie and Lynne----good to hear from you both! Was worried about you gals last night.

Thanks Lynn! Will just watch the news, I guess!
Even though I am not critical of the Bird Educator's comments on the OC chat forum as far as education goes....
I thought Paula's response to the educators comments was excellent....well done and intelligent.
Hedgie....love your avatar.

You were right to inform them, Paula. I also threw one in to Belinda who had said the eaglets would fly off the day after hatching!!
Bear Update
Did not see their visit today. This report is interesting,.
Just read Deborah's response...glad she didn't take it the wrong way.
You will be shocked when you read this: hunters have put a bounty on Lily. Makes me sick.
Bear Report
Thanks, BEagle!
Creeks were really high when we were out. Hope Donnie is a good ways back from the river.
Hedgie-Lynn was there a line at Logans? Is that where you went at the Commons?
Now there is a place you can get a beer lol
Oh, I didn't see her response. I got so tickled about the whole thing. I will go back and read.
However, I better check the bear situation out immediately.
Dana, no line....we got there at 4:45.....crowded, but no wait. Yep---saw those TALL beer mugs!
Time for my date with Tom Selleck.
Wait a minute! I have a date with Tom!
Lynn, I must have missed Belinda's comment.
I read the commentary article from the Lily update...lots of comments back and forth supporting each view. I certainly would like to see them protected. Dr Lynn still has a fight on his hands.
Prayers for those that need them.
I'm out of here oh and by the way. It's me and Tom I'm going out with.....sorry you all loose..I got Tom Selleck first ( : Nighters.
LOL Dana, you had me on that one!
Belle still awake...heard her call out awhile ago.
Ha Ha on me...didn't see all the Tom Selleck comments :) Enjoy the show, Ladies!

It seems as though the bird educator was further educated.
I still like to see the eaglets feeties!
Goodnight.

I am wondering if Margy's dinosaur passed away.........security updates don't take THIS long!!!
Stopping by to say my goodnights.
Prayers for all wants and needs.♥♥
Gee, Tom WAS busy tonight. No wonder I couldn't get his full attention!
Well, I am beat. Tubby time for me. Mai is ready to bed down for the night, and I will be soon.

Just about falling onto my keyboard...better go to bed before that happens.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS
Well, I think I did fall unto my keyboard. Jack just said to me..."you're awake now?' Sitting here with the puter on my lap. Sure was not with no Tom. LOL Anyway, heading to the shower and then to bed.
What a day! As I went about my business during a beautiful day, I thought about the people in Japan. Just can not fathom the terror and devastation! God be with them.
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Well....I am sort of back...still struggling to get live feed, but -
I see that new Jayden avatar, Wanda
totally precious!
had to take a nap while security program downloaded...
going to back to bed now, will check for the eagles and try live cam at morning'st light
by the way, it if has not already been mentioned:

Good Morning Eaglet Watching ladies, Jim and Donnie!
Nest is still dark and I'm dreading the time change when it won't be light until 7am.
Ahhhh it feels so good after a
c r a z y week to be back at the early morning nest, waiting for Lib to arrive and the sun to kick on a bit.
Eagles should be visable in 30 min.
Margy hope you got your computer problem solved.
Andy - DARLING Emma picture.
Kiss her for me!
Belle is moving around - hard to tell what she's doing on dark screen when it pixelates and seems like it's in slow motion.
More infrared, please. :)
Belle - or is it Lib? - did a 180 and is now facing 12 oclock.
Eagle was calling then got up and moved around and is now fluffing up the puffy stuff.
I'm so happy to be back!
I'll go check on other nests now - some still dark. What time does NBG light up?
BWE: Adult on nest. No babies visable.
Duke Farms: DARK
NBG: DARK
TH and WE Catalina: Adult on eggs on each nest.
Bear den - can't tell what I'm seeing!
Great view now in Shepherstown!
CRC - Savannah and eaglets still in the dark.
So excited they got two eaglets this year.
Belle (?) calling out to whomever she is seeing. Wants a break? Breakfast?
Nice closeup of adult on nest at NBG.
Going to get more coffee.
Hope they don't switch while I'm away!
Good Morning Eagle Friends
I think we have a good day coming up here in the Eastern Panhandle of WV - will await Megan's Weather Report
Welcome to the Week-end Lori ☺
good report of the many nests you mentioned Lori....
I cannot get the live feed, big problem, bad timing
At least I'll be at work from 8 am to 8 pm today and Sunday, can watch things from there !
big proud looking eagle at the BWO platform
and the babies at BWE are having some quiet time
haven't really had to time to catch up all the blog posts from yesterday but will work on that
my heart is with all of yours for the tragedy in Japan. I have one niece (by marriage) who is from Japan and has family there...she has not made contact with them at last check. Another niece, also by marriage, same situation but she has heard from her family, they are okay
God Bless the victims, and the rescuers working to help out
read where Lynn posted that the Fairfax Co. Va, rescue team is mobilized and on the way
right about now I wish we had 15-second refreshes on OUR still cam
would help me out a lot right about now...
don't forget we have a E-M album for March going !
back in a little while before work
Best wishes for a good day for everyone
oh two parents have arrived at BWE
with fresh food for breakfast !
Lynne:
So cool, Steve heard the peepers...besides watching for Eagle Eggs at NCTC to hatch...that is my all-time favorite Spring event !
can't wait to hear them here !
bbl
Sun ☼ is climbing up over the horizon here now ☺
looks like littlest tyke at BWE is going to have to wait his turn....almst being stepped on by the others
but I am sure he will get his breakfast !
Good morning Margy!
there was an egg-tending at NCTC short time ago, but I missed the eggs if they were showing
older chicks at BWE must be getting full, baby is getting his (or her) share now
Good Morning Lori!
How is Kate doing these days ?
Can definitely see they made the switch and LIB is on the nest now.
Thanks to PAULA, WANDA, JO for all the eagle I-D tutoring - just got lucky looking at Belle for so long this morning! Or is that Belle? Still need help! :o)
Kate is doing much better. Thanks for asking, Margy. She is doing rehab and the exercises they give her faithfully and it's making a big difference. She said thanks for asking, too.
Oh gosh, FloBear, is up making his moose noises that he is ready for the cheese with his medicines in it. He is incredibly loud!
Wish Paula was up, or Megan, or Wanda. Jo you around? Margy can you tell is it's Lib or Belle?
Tail feathers and size look like LIB, but the white feathers around the neck look more uneven like Belle.
Lori...I didn't see a switch, but ....who can tell from what I could see...!!
glad to hear that Kate is coming along...Yes, I can say from experience that exercises help a lot !
Must go now, will check the nest while getting ready for the salt mines...
Take Care, Everyone..and Happy Eagle Nest and Wildlife Cam Watching !!
xoxo
and I hope everyone can get out in the nice weather if you have it in your area....I will stick my head out the door from work and try to soak up some Sunshine from time to time !
I can't tell Lori, colors look like Belle's - -
sorry !
Weather in Frederick today is mostly sunny and a high of 59. So should be a nice day at the nest too. No big storms coming.
Have a great day Margy. Don't work too hard. Get rest when you can!
MARGY - you'll have to tell me about color differences in Lib & Belle. I haven't heard that one.
Okay Lori -
Belle is generally darker,
Liberty is generally lighter...
somtimes Liberty shows a little white tuft on one of his shoulders....
and more experts on here will add to that description, for sure !
xoxo bye now....
Sorry, Margy, I slept in- so rarely happens- today's nest weather- 38° here now-
Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Morning all, have a great day everybody!
Thanks Megan!
Glad you caught a few extra z's !
Happy Farming/Gardening Day to You!
xoxo
Good Morning in Eagle Land Lori, Margy and Megan and our Lukers ( :
Yes today is suppose to be beautiful with nice warm temps.
Just finished seeing a nice two egg roll at our nest.
Margy you have a long one today. I'm sure you'll be out that door some getting some vitamin D.
Megan I'm sure your fully into gh planting. Glad you'll have a good day for it.
Lori so glad to hear Kate is doing better. Is she doing the water or machines?
Margy I know your not here. I seen your comment about Fairfax Rescue. Didn't I tell you all in earlier comments. They usually go to these type of things. My old neighbors son has been to so many of them. God Bless them and their families while they look for suvivors. In such unsafe conditions. Prayers for those in Japan.
Good morning! Sun is out and it's going to be a beautiful day here!
I have a pair of Bluebirds at the BB house out front! And so far, no House Sparrows trying to take over like last year.
LOL! NBG Mama slept in late this morning too Megan! She just got up a few minutes ago, but is now all tucked back in again!
Wanda cute avatar of Jayden (:
Good morning Dana. Kate is doing the manual exercises now. Therapist says she's not strong enough for swimming yet.
Sorry is missed you MEGAN!
Happy flowering today. Think I'll get out in my garden and do some leaf cleanup.
Good Morning Lynne2 hope you have an enjoyable day. I hope I get a pair of bluebirds this year also.
Oh Lori is NOT swimming. It is an arthritic class in the therapy warm water pool The water helps take the stress off the joints.
2 chicks alone at BWE
well, I don't care if the calendar says spring doesn't start for another week and a half....it's been spring here for some time already!
Cool Dana! Hope they raise some babies!
Lori, last year, the pair raised 2 clutches successfully...the first was 5 and the second was 4 babies. The year before last......well, there was a Black Rat Snake incident.
get a bluebird house Dana...they usually have them at Walmart.
oh good Dana...then I sure hope you get some BBs this year! Do you have it out and ready for them?
Good morning! Looks like a lovely day!
Lori, are you off today? Hope so----do you try to follow the same sleep/wake pattern every day, working or not? Probably very wise if you do.
BTW----NBG would be the same as us for dawning! It's in Norfolk,Va.
Very disappointed that NCTC did not zoom the cam in for the weekend.....so hoping that we do NOT have a hatch. :(
Margy, have a good shift. Sorry you are pulled in for tomorrow, too.
My cam hung up....had to refresh. Argh!
Looks like two intact eggs. Alone!
Good Morning Lynn-Hedgie and Shirley.
Lynn when did Norfolk lay their 1st egg. I got egg 2 & 3 dates but some how missed the date for egg 1?
Pulling a Margy here--
Dana, glad you like the new Emma avatar. Sure hope a pair of bluebirds shows up real soon at your birdhouse!
I'm with you--LOTS of prayers for those in Japan! Sure hope they are able to cool down those nuclear reactors! SCARY situaton! Lord, please help!
Maybe Feb 3rd?????
Hey Hedgie - thanks for the sleep advice. You're right and I know it! So happy you care. :)
Just thankful it's the weekend and I get to do the fun stuff - HERE!
Yep found it Feb 3rd never mind thank you all anyhow.
Gee---what's the blur on lower left of cam?? That wasn't there a little while ago...........
If you haven't seen the Mad Bluebird pic, the photographer has a website.
Mad Bluebird Photographer's website
He knows the need and I am glad for that.
a do-do on the lens or nearby?
Wow Lori His prices are high BUT that is a great photo indeed of the mad bluebird. Makes you smile :-)
Glo,
I hope you get to feeling better today. The rest is great. Ask Lynn! And Lynne2!
You are so adorable. Love your "He knows the need..."
Hope you laugh a lot at your Lucy marathon.
Our eagle is calling out.
Good morning,
Sorry I went off without saying goodnight last night.
Lucky guy.
Glo good morning to you and Dex Yes Norfolk should be having a hatch any day now.
My calendar is full of dates lol
Think what it will look like when the Osprey come back WOW WEE !!
Have a great day everyone.
I've got to get my beehind out of this chair and doing something with this beautiful weather outside.
BBL
Today the planting calendar says: Plant non flowering seed and shrubs.
Wow....looks like Ely (Bears) are in for blizzard conditions today. Don't guess there will be attempt to clean the cam lens for awhile.
Our fuzziness is fading....strange.
Hi Eagle Buffs.
The WE nest is busy at the moment with two adults. You can see the two eggs deep in the egg cup.
The TH is only busy sitting.
Lynn-Hedgie you have mail.
I checked on NBG. At first, you could tell she was concentrating on what's under her. They may be squirming under her. That may not be a good word for it.
Of course, I always check Lib and Belle first. I think it is Lib on the nest.
Maybe someone can enlighten me if it's Belle.
Lynne2 when did your Bluebirds take over your box last year?
Must sign off for the present and get ready for Rus and Rebecca. They are stopping by this morning so that Rebecca and I can discuss grammar again.
Also Lynne2 do you always clean your Bluebird house out after the season is over? Or just leave the nesting materials in there?
I see three BWE chicks. The littlest one is squeezed in between the biggers ones but is not facing the same direction.
Their color is deepening.
NBG eagle just got up. I didn't see anything because of the angle. Very difficult to see anything in that egg cup.
Sure wish we could see the NBG eggs! So much restlessness this morning that I think we'll have a hatch shortly!
And yeah, what's up with our cam not being zoomed on this all important weekend???
Some one on the chat says that the NBG eagle reached down into the egg cup and pulled something white out and ate it.
???
[Comment From Deb Deb: ]
It definitely looked like she pulled something white out of the nest bowl this morning and ate it. I know you said they eat the egg shell for calcium-any chance that is what was going on?
I copied and pasted the post.
yeah, I read that too BEagle. Who knows for sure!
You would think with the upgraded cams at NBG they would have a zoom into the egg cup!!!
They can get pretty close, but the birds built the sides of nest up higher after the cam was installed! Silly birds....
May be our eagle will stand up so I can see if it Belle or Lib.
well, I suck at IDing these birds unless they are both in the nest, but if I'm going to make a guess, I'd say it was Lib in the nest right now.
And if that is Lib he won't share much of a peek at what's underneath.
Breakfast. Raisin bread toast and an inorganic nanner.
Dr Oz says OK to eat inorganic things where you don't eat the skin anyway!
EGGS!!!! Adult just flew the coop
ARRGGGHHHHHHH if only we had ZOOM
A-HA........I see two eggs in our nest!!!!!
Must be changing sitters!
Oh, to have a zoom. What a dream!
Of course, some of you have eagle vision.
