This was in the 1980s, so a floppy disk was really floppy. Fortunately, I did not entirely trust electronics. I wanted to see a paper copy at the end of each writing session.
It was too bad I hadn't broken it up and saved it on several floppy disks.

Great screen shots, Leona! I was watching and thought when they zoomed on the feathers it was nothing short of amazing!! God made those feathers perfect! The white feathers almost glistened in the sun.
Ha ! Got a big laugh out of homework stories ! Sharon yours is priceless.
My daughter teaches Biology at Columbus State Community College and share the hilarious excuses she gets for missed classes or exams. Grandparents beware, it's a sad fact that more of us die during exam week than any other time. The amazing thing is how often the family must rely on the 20 year old college student to make all the arrangements !;o) Other relatives are in jeopardy, too, but grandmas seem to get the worst of it !
So sorry. I did not know current info on CRC. If they took eaglet off nest, would assume they'd intervene if remaining chick was not fed. Very glad to near Savannah & Derek took charge.
I had known the prof for some time by then and had worked closely with him on the paper, thank goodness. I think that I would still print out copies of a paper that long even today. Of course, I would save it electronically, too.
I had the whole thing printed out; it just overlapped in places, and I crossed out the overlapping parts. It was a rough draft, but not too rough.
I got an "A" on it, too. And he was a tough grader.

I taught financial accounting at Lacawanna College in Scranton, PA. I remember those homework stories. What they never realize is the homework is for THEM not for us. I'd love to not have to grade and correct all those homework papers!!
I have a headache from hearing Fantasia's big screaming mouth. And that last number was not helping at all.
I can't say that I have ever had someone tell me that their paper burned up in the car.
Of course, now I would ask why they had not saved a copy.

Well I sat my butt down in front of TV and didn't get up to check in during any of those commercials.

I am thankful to see friendships being made. I do think we need a May or June Nest Visit - even though it is MT. Just to get together as many as we can for sharing and bonding. I'll check out some dates with NCTC to be sure a Saturday is ok.

Wanda, There are 2 computers now, but we both are usually on same one. The OLD OLD one, "Dell-Dude", is the first-2001, I think. The 2nd one I loved, is dead, but not gone.Both were XP. Waiting to get stuff off disc someday. The New one I'm having trouble with because I'm trying to figure out Windows 7 and photo programs I've never seen before! Both computers are networked, so they can use printer, etc., but they never interfere w/each other. It's just a case of teaching an old dog new tricks! Used mostly same stuff for 10 years & I liked it!!! ☺

Oh my, I've been reviewing yesterday's posts and found so many reasons for sadness. Loss of an eaglet in NC, murder of an adult eagle, cruelty to a poor dog.... Here's hoping this is a happier day for all.
Sharon, Tara's father has been in my prayers. Hope he's received his ultimate promotion and release from pain. It's good that you have such a happy memory of his kindness to you.
I was thinking this seems like it's been an unusually sad year for we eagle lovers. But, I remember a lot of sadness last year as well. Life in the wild is no piece of cake !

Kay, that is me with FloBear. He's such a sweetie except when he's hungry and he's learned that if he does these moose like howls I'll do anything to get him to be quiet. Tried ignoring it, but he only gets louder. He's like a 2 yr old throwing a temper tantrum!

6:31 Truder arrives in nest, at the 1 o'clock spot
6:32 Belle arrived, same spot, Truder moves to center of nest
6:33 ? Belle disappears, did not see which way she left out of
6:33 Truder works the new little fluff-leaf spot
then heads to the old nest cup
6:34 Blue screen invades the Live Feed
Still Cam still down
The End...not sure what is happening now, I can't get live feed back
At least we know Belle is safe

good morning all! Drat - I missed the visit; brought up the cam and saw the blue computer screen and thought it was down again. Glad to hear they were at the nest even if I missed them. Went to check on Decorah - the cam was on night vision but zoomed in so you could see the drops of water on her feathers! and then I found links to a red tailed hawks nest, and an owl cam... just what I need is more cams to check!

I can see our live feed "refreshing" at times.

Catching up, but, yes the eagle mess at NGB is from yesterday's meal. Congowings said it was a gull. Lots of white feathers everywhere, huh?
