Here is how I see it ****** If you notice the changes in the % I now remember that all of them will add up to 100%. When votes come in for any of the 8 it will change the percentage. I am not a mathematician to keep up with it - all I know is Get the Votes In!
Yes it is strange...can't figure what animal not a bird would have one print then ahead of that one only one print??????? In the snow so I know it is not a cat or a dog??????

We need to find a company of employees to start voting!!!!!!
The river is not into the canal prism yet. another 2 to 3 inches of rain will surly change the situation. I just went to the wild goose. very close camera on her. This will be great when the eggs hatch.
What's the voting for ? Tell me where to go and I'll help out.
I think there IS sound, but it is so faint that I can hardly even hear it on earphones. Disappointing.
I think you have it all figured out correctly, Jo---the voting that is!
Are geese like ducks? Hatch, get up and go to the water??? She is a pretty goose!
Jim, we made it from 64 to 32. Next week it will be 16, then 8, then the final 4. Winner to be announced on the 4th of April! Just like the NCAA March Madness in college basketball!!!!
DID YOU KNOW file.......it is time to start stocking up on incandescent light bulbs. Starting next year, you won't be able to buy 100-watt bulbs anymore. 75's are gone in '13, and 60's & 40's in 2014. Phase-out will begin soon, so if you HATE the new bulbs like I do, start picking up a package everytime you shop! Keep in mind that the new bulbs CANNOT be used in receptacles that are on a dimmer switch.
The geese will go to the water to avoid animals on the shore. The only problem here on the river are the fish are so big they eat the little ducks and geese when they are very little. Ponds are lots safer. Where is this goose?
Metromix of DC is sponsoring a contest looking for the most lovable pet. Lynn of Hedgesville aka Hedgie on our blog entered her Shar pei puppy, Mai Ying. The contest started last week with 64 pets and is now at 32 pets. Mai has made it into Round 2 - that is what we are voting now through Sunday the 13th. Open this link Donnie
This is the main page - go down and open the Fetching Division. Look and click on the second pic of Mai and then vote by selecting the button at her name - then SUBMIT the vote.
I hate the CF lights. I guess our old christmas light are gone also. These LED lights are not bright enough on the tree. YOu cant see the orniments at night time.
Thanks, Jo for explaining again and thanks, Donnie for voting!! It's on a 24 hr. cycle, so note what time you voted today and then go back at same time or after tomorrow, etc. This round will close at 11:59PM Sunday. You can vote from any and all computers and phones!
Poor ducklings/goslings.....stay away from rivers!! I don't know where Costa Contra is, Donnie.
I accidently bought LED tree lights---hated them! Did not use them! Made everything look BLUE!
Speaking of lights...the one on my vacuum power head just burned out! No more night time vacuuming for me! LOL---have rarely done that since I retired!!!
Hi everyone. Checking in and will have to catch up.
Was watching the HBg falcon and both birds were in the cam's view. Then .. some hp and he flew away. Wham, bam, thank you mam. ;o)
Also checked out the Cathedral falcons and the female was squawking something fierce. The male brought in a small bird and she moved away from him and his meal squawking the whole time. Poor guy backed into the corner and she went to the ledge. It was funny to watch.
Ms Bookworm Thanks for the compliments on the photos and book idea. I have tossed it around a bit in the past. Almost made a couple as gifts for this year. Decided to wait another season or 2 to get a few more really nice ones. My adult kids seem to enjoy the photos BUT I really don't think they want their walls full of them. At some point though I think they might like a book and yes perhaps some others would like one too.
I have done my voting for Mai again today. Wonder who all the cat fans are hmmmm. WE must stay on top of this :-).
Glad Lib has started to practice up on fish deliveries to the nest. It won't be long til he will need to start hauling int he big stuff.
Yep, more rain is coming our way- From Foot's forecast- for our area- We will see the first chance for rain showers beginning during the day tomorrow, but the heavy and more steady rain should hold off until later in the night. When the heavy rain moves though, visibilities will drop and make for very dangerous travel conditions. As with our last storm, flooding will be a concern due to such a long duration event. The current flood watch posted for the whole area states "BY THE TIME THE FRONT CLEARS THE AREA THURSDAY NIGHT...UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE." It will be a cold rain with temperatures holding steady in the low to mid 40's
I was really thinking of going to Green Street but had sent hubby to firehall 1st (sold out) and then he buzzed down to the Dunkin Donut (sold out) and over to Giant Eagle where he found 1/2 doz.
Hi, Gang, I'm back again. Hubby is home from work, and we are having broiled chicken for dinner! I wish there were a way to order in some fastnachts. Not sure whether it would be OK to eat or not! Thanks for the offers, though. Here is a picture I took of Emma. She is about to take off with the leash in her mouth--her favorite thing to do.
Sorry, Glo- I'm not digging it either. But yeah, Donnie's right, at least it's not snow. This weekend will be much better, some sun, and temps in the 40's and 50's.
OOh, Donnie, you'd better wear gloves next time! That sounds mighty painful!
Well, gang, I gotta get busy on the old homework again.
Megan, I don't like the current weather forecast for our eagles, either. I wish there were a big umbrella over the nest! (Guess there IS--her name is Belle!)
Better get one more report typed up before dinner. Will check back in later tonight, after I've voted for Mai! :o]
WOW! Took 4 tries to get on here! "service unavailable" Did Search & finally one link opened!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEULA!!! (altho, your probably in dreamland!!!)
I saw some fantastic osprey happenings today & got some pics.I swore I wouldn't eat before dwnlding, BUT this stupid 'puter is still throwing me curves! Help & Support says "machine recognizes only new pics"!!!! WRONG! Dwnloads everything again!!!!!I wrote them a note about it.Don't really want to call Peggy! Anyway, will get out of Maxine mode, eat something & tackle the beast!!! Gotta vote for Mai, too!
Going to prepare dinner. Just learned on fb that my newest expected baby is a great nephew. Wow! That is the 4th grandson for my brother and one granddaughter.
Oh, and by the way, my brother told me today he voted yesterday and today. He is a dog lover and I will continue to remind him.
Margy, 4 years ago we saw that in Colorado but did not know what we were seeing. They were very close together going across the sky. Jack called a good friend and described it...."OMG" he replied "You saw it!" He knew and was very jealous!
Yeah, Lolly it is pretty neat...saw one of the shuttles close to ISS one night last year, straight up like it was tonight and they were like twins across the sky....
I have a lot of catch up reading to do ! Including 1/3 of th previous thread
Good Evening Eagle Pals...see you back here in a little while
we got that weather advisory at work this morning...don't like the sounds of it ... at all...
but today was pretty and tonight, clear sky and happy Moon out there, bigger smile :)
OK Lolly - - the shuttle goes over first, not as bright as ISS, so as soon as it is "done" look backwards again and the Space Station should be roaring right along
discovered that about FWS when I signed on Paula...had to come to the Blog from your link on E-M page...thank goodness I can get to it from there - Thanks !
Hurried home from Soup Kitchen to catch Terrific Tuesday shows and come to find out...it's not so terrific:( Had a visit from Margy at the Soup Kitchen...she ate with me and helped in the clean up...THANK YOU MARGY. A few photos on Just For Fun...it WAS fun!
Got a phone call from Bette. She's the one who was in the hospital because of a heart issue about 3 weeks ago. She is fine now. She said they kept her overnight in the hospital and discharged her. It was an atrial fibulation. Betty swims regularly. She said a half mile at a time. She is very active and busy.
BEagle, glad you found the link. I was getting ready to repost for you!
Shirley, did Bette indicate what caused the atrial fibrillation? Scary!
Margy, glad you had a nice evening.
Now I don't know what I saw-----probably shuttle because it was a minute earlier than I had read. And I didn't watch for anything else.......surprised that they would still be on the same trajectory since landing is 16 hrs. later.....thought it would be on a different orbit!
Good luck with your pics, Loretta. Know how frustrated you must feel.
Yesindeedy Ma'am and Sir, Wanda and Gene, it was a lovely evening, a great way to close out the afternoon, thank you so very much...all of your friends there, are so welcoming and cheerful...and I love my take-home treats! If I give up chocolate for lent, it will have to wait a few days ☺ xoxox Thank you !
BEagle, I was surprised...to see the second object flyover, because I thought I was watching ISS and was looking for Discovery, then lo and behold there along came ISS I was equally surprised last night when they were closer ! wonder what people think when they look up and are not aware of the satellite flyovers...
Shirley I am sorry I missed you...thank for the update on Bette and am glad to hear she is doing okay now...atrial fib...wonder what the short-term and long-term treatment options her doctors might have for her....
okay caught up I think... Paula thanks for all the info from the Outdoor Channel people about the audio, for keeping them updated on what we hear and don't hear
Glo Surely hope the car problems...are not serious... I have paid for my Blazer twice probably now with repairs, big fat expensive repairs over the years... and today, a vehicle slow-rolled backwards into the front of it! No real visible damage, but I see blemishes on the paint...that only a "mother" would notice, so I get to write my report and then go get estimates... no crunches, just paint blemishes...it was on the work parking lot, so someone else gets to pay for it this time
Yea! Success! We saw them! We were not sure we would be able to as it is sorta cloudy and hazy, no stars to be seen. However, here they came! Thanks again, Margy! Was more impressive in Colorado, it was a dark, clear sky and they were right together.
way cool, Lolly and Jack, happy to hear it! Yes, a perfectly clear sky would have been great... maybe in April when the other shuttle goes up...we can see this again! One time 15 or so years ago I saw a perfect triangle of satellites cross the sky in the middle of the night, never figured out what that was....
Paula sorry to bother you this one more time: Can you repeat what you think the possible/probable hatch dates will be for NCTC? I will write it down, I promise !
Margy, sorry about the Blazer....how in the world did that happen? Was the slow-roller a county vehicle?? So the county pays for your damage? Or a private vehicle with insurance?
Magpie Gosh sorry about your blazer. Hmmm it is good that it happened where it did though. Its hard very hard to be without a vehicle.
My car found itself back in the shop again yesterday morning and again this morning. After last weeks repairs I discovered on my way to work Sunday that I had no heat. Wondered if they left a wire unhooked when they put in the new started so brought it back to dealership first thing yesterday. They checked things out and said I had no heat because i needed a new heater core. $800 Well I had just paid $700 for the starter and broken spring so I said Thats not going to happen today. And headed home. I had Dex with me and about half way home my Temp gauge is reading at the top of the H. There have been no issues with the heat this winter. Thought Dex and i were going to get stranded in the middle of a very heavily traveled route. We did get home though and my neighbor "Bless his heart" took my car to his mechanic first thing this morning for a second opinion. To make a long story short I now have heat. The temp guage is normal and it cost me $52. Only because my neighbors wouldn't let me pay the bulk of the bill. I can not tell you what a Godsend these people are to me. I could not make it these days without them. So I guess I don't have to keep looking for another vehicle at least not right now. My radiator had a huge amount of something. called Stop leak in it. It had plugged up the ability to cool my engine. I have had the car for like 12 years now. I have had the radiator flushed 3 times but all by dependable mechanics none of whom pt Stop Leak in. I haven't had any leaks. So it must have been sold to me like that years ago. I think I have found a new mechanic. I am glad he found the problem and fixed it for me. Dex won't be going for rides for a week or more until it proves road worthy. I don't need to worry about how to get the car and the dog and myself wherever should there be any more problems. I am hoping though this is all for a while. I know too much info BUT Hedgie Thanks for asking.
Dana not sure about your one-by-one animal tracks, but I checked a chart I have, and it could be red fox, or possibly domestic cat! Wolverine might be a choice, but not around here !!!
Margy, I think the hatching dates for the first egg are likely to be next week, Mon - Wed, the 14th to 16th...that is days 37-39, and for the second egg, Wed-Fri 36-38 days
UGH--there was a huge Boris on the outside of th ebasement door. I would say that spring is here! Luckily it was not moving....smashed it flat with my shoe.
Argh Hedgie Hate spiders especially big ones. I did answer your question about the car. its that long TMI post about half an hour ago. Didn't know how to make a long story short but thanks for asking.
Glo glad to hear that the heater problem...was not as big a problem as the quack (?) mechanic might have suggested, and yes, wonderful neighbor man... I have had the heater coil replaced too!
After our guests have gone and the dishes are being washed, at the Soup Kitchen, we package up and freeze the left overs, if there is enough for another meal. If there is not enough to have another meal, we pack it up in containers and send all our helpers home with a Goody Bag. Margy got a Goody Bag tonight with Ribs, Chicken and Pork, a small red velvet cake and some yogurt...hope you enjoy it MARGY:)
Getting late already~~~time sure flies when you're not having fun! LOL Looked up the fastnachts recipe & one has mashed potatoes in it. I've got box of Polish potato & onion Pierogies out of freezer! Maybe part midnight snack & leftovers for Wed!!! Not sweet, but close enough! And then you take your cholesterol pill for a chaser!! Guess it might be TH or later before I get any pictures fixed---maybe the mailman will bring me my Photoshop I ordered! Gonna get crackin'-- Pleasant Feather Dreams to All & prayers for good health ;>)
Thanks Magpie That Stop Leak stuff was on a mission to really mess up lots of stuff had it not been found and removed. I am grateful. Had I replaced that heater core I would have been out $800 and still had a radiator with lots and lots of stop leak settling into the radiator hoses continuing to travel through my cooling system.
Glo, sorry about the grand roun around you got with the car. I always get the feeling that mechanics/dealers try to take advantage of women! Thankful that it wasn't the heater core!! Hope that you have a few more safe miles to go!
To all who have turned in already and those yet to head that way, I bid you a good night. Judie hasn't checked in, nor has Lynne (tho' both had busy schedules!). Maybe they will bring up the rear. Or Loretta or Andy will!!
See all of you fine, fowl friends tomorrow. Prayers for all.
News flash: A tsnuami alert has been issued after an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 hit the northeast coast of Honshu, Japan, on Wednesday afternoon, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The quake, at a depth of 10 kilometers, struck at 12:45 p.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
Well I didn't watch any repeats. I did some bookwork.... Don't like the % on our Mai tonight. Lizzie and Samar jumped ahead - They both must have late night voters.... I have put the word out to all family and friends..... I so hope Mai comes out on top! This is fun competition!
Howdy, Gang! Dropping in late to say goodnight. Glad you folks like the picture of Emma. The leash she is holding is the one we put on her when she runs around in the house. It's a really tough one, and can handle being chewed. She really surprised me this evening! She had the "inside leash" on, and was acting like she needed to go potty. Next thing I knew, she went straight to her crate, and tried to pick up her floral leash (off the top of the crate), the leash I use to take her outside! I got the hint, so put the floral leash on her, and she happily went out the door with me to do her business!LOL :oD Glo, I am so glad that your car issues worked out so happily! What a blessing! Margy, sorry about the Blazer! Thank God you don't have to pay for repairs to the paint job! Lynn, isn't it always a relief when a really BIG Boris is on the OUTSIDE of the door! Glad you smushed it! Well, have some more homework to do, so think I'll say goodnight. Haven't seen Judie here tonight, so better check to make sure the night light is on. Checking the porch light, too. Prayers have been said for everybody, and their pet(s). The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Have a really good and restful night's sleep, everyone, and I will talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Today's nest weather- don't shoot the messenger... Today- A chance of rain...snow and sleet this morning...then rain this afternoon. Highs in the lower 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
Tonight Rain. Rain may be heavy at times after midnight. Lows in the lower 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
Okay Megan Thanks for the heads up Be careful, and I hope this does not hurt your crops or mess with the greenhouse, or the basement ! Now I know what kind of coat to pull out for the day :(
Best wishes for a good day everyone, thought I would say that before my internet crashes again
Cloudy skies today won't allow highs to get out of the 40's, but Some areas could see the leading edge of rain move in between 1-3pm, and by evening rush hour it could be in full swing. Of course this will not be the heaviest rain; that will hold off until tomorrow. We are still likely to receive 2 inches of total rain, but some could see up to 4 inches as a result of isolated heavier bands of rain.
Good morning everyone. Getting ready to head over for coffee and dog treats :-). Got a nice size cold started yesterday and enjoying the full benefits of it last night and this morning. Feeling pretty tired. Need to run a couple of errands and then will lay kind of low today. Megan that forecast hasn't changed much since last night. Keep looking for a different one for the nest. Seriously I do hope this doesn't create any issues for you and your beautiful flowers.
Morning all. Lousy forecast for sure. That SE wind is raw, too. Poor Belle....feel so bad that she will have to suffer through torrential downpours. Glo, sorry you are feeling bad. I feel awful....again/still. Just don't see how I can manage Mai and pouring rain to get to graduation tonight when I am struggling for air. :( Shuttle ladning time has changed again: now 11:57AM! I would say tune in at 11:30 to be on the safe side if you want to see it! No news footage of Japan quake that I have seen so far. Just mention of it. In this age of video magic, that's surprising.
Good Morning in Eagle Land to All on her and lurkers ( :
I just finished checking out the visitor pictures at the Soup Kitchen. I love the "heart" Gene did. That "visitor" sure looks familiar. lol
I am now watching the 3-4-11 trail cam. I like the music ( :
I did not no a domestic cat prints would show up like . . . . If they is how they walk like the dots above in a straight line then that is what it was.
Andy so happy to finally hear something about Bette. So glad it is good news -- prayers answered. PRAISES!
Glo So sorry about your car. Although I like how God opened a door for a honest mechanic.
Aww Hedgie sorry you aren't feeling up to Mais graduation tonight but I do understand. I just walked Dex through the rain / drizzle soon to be freezing drizzle. Will make a quick trip to grocery and then be in most of day except for those brief potty breaks for Dex. Dana I am so grateful for friends who came alongside and offered to take it to their mechanic. I had become afraid to even drive it after I saw how quickly the heat rose just trying to get home from my wrong $40 diagnosis. its been an $800 car month. Shoot I could have made a payment or 2 on a new cadillac this month. :-). It still needs to prove itself to me before I take Dex along and for a week or so my trips will be close to home.
On page 2 there are some tracks that could be. I know there has been one in the area. Just above me 3rd mobile up a fox tried to get their dog. 1st line 4th and 5th picture across
Good morning! 50 here and bright sun shine. High expected in the 60's. That is better than the 82 we had yesterday. I got a little sun on my arms. I need to start putting lotion on my arms!
Didn't mean to run off but that cam is something else. Has to be a manual zooming. I am waiting for NASA's Kennedy Space Center's action: The weather continues to cooperate for Discovery's planned landing at 11:57:44 a.m. "All in all, it's shaping up to be a pretty promising day for Discovery," reported NASA Commentator Josh Byerly.
The albatross is lovely, Lolly, and that is truly amazing! BUT.....how do they KNOW that there aren't other wild birds out and about who aren't banded who are as old or older??? LOL!
Good Morning... I have a LENTHLY comment about my granddaughter: She responded to an emergency call last week to a possible self inflicted gun shot victim. The man's face was completely blown off and was unidentifiable. As she was getting ready to take him to the hospital, she saw some of her friends standing around and then realized the patient was a very good friens. She was so upset, that she hit a POLICE car directly behind her. Needless to say, she was suspended from driving the ambulance and there will be an investigation.
**I am asking for your prayers that she will be forgiven and be able to get back to the job that she LOVES so much**
The gentleman has died, either last night or this morning. I found out through my daughter's facebook page.

Sad story indeed, Wanda. I'm sure she'll be allowed back to driving and running calls at some point. I don't know if they do it there, but in Frederick County, they also offer grief counseling to EMTS, FF's etc, especially when they end up on a call of a friend. Has happened to my John many times.

Thanks for new thread and call over.
Jim, I didn't know that the falcons had any chicks yet.....Jo????
Dana, I have no idea....need a hunter to answer that question. It was probably a hopping bird.
I didn't hear you when you first called Jim but I am here now.
Hello Donnie! Hope that river doesn't rise too high with all the rain predicted.
Jim no chicks yet - it's a new young female - the clump you saw is what I was questioning. Must be lunch but at first glance I too thought it could be chicks but I read the news update - no action yet.
Lynn over on FB You are telling me 3 times that you are from the South! lol
Donnie do you know about voting for Lynn's 'sweet' Shar Pei Mix puppy
Mai Ying in the contest going on?
tHANKS, Mema Jo and Hedgie.
I also read a little on that site. New female; breeding activity about a month ago; but there are no eggs yet.
I guess the falson was feeding on the fluffy - looking item lying in the nest. Sorry, I can't ID it either.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
WOW Turtle Bay's zoom is fantastic
I opened my link expecting to be looking down 30 ft to the nest and
Boom it is right there in my face..
I was surprised to say the least
They have 2 eggs
The Eagles 4 Kids nest is looking good
Floor of Fluff! No eggs yet
Looks like Mai is doing well in the voting.
I've voted several times, but I can't say I understand how the contest works. How long does it go on??
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Dana - my guess would be a short-legged bird.
Are they bird prints or animal prints.
This is round 2, Jim and we vote every day through Sunday the 13th.
Then we are hoping the be voting for Mai in the next round.
Here is how I see it ******
If you notice the changes in the % I
now remember that all of them will add
up to 100%. When votes come in for any of the 8 it will change the percentage.
I am not a mathematician to keep up with it - all I know is Get the Votes In!
I am taking a short break
BBILW
Be talking to you folks later. Have a great day.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
I just checked out TV for our
Terrific Tuesday TV and it is all
REPEATS ! :<{
There are some real size differences in the BWE chicks! But they all are looking good!
JO, I just glanced at the Falcon, thought you wanted to confirm it was a falcon.
Hey Lynn, maybe you could be the voting link on your blog, too.
The littlest is out of the egg cup feeding right next to the biggest one.
Thanks for the call over and the new thread.
Yes it is strange...can't figure what animal not a bird would have one print then ahead of that one only one print??????? In the snow so I know it is not a cat or a dog??????
I found this new one for all of us
Mother Goose Cam
I've done my two votes for Mai today.
I even called the people I sent the link to. So I could explain about it. One guy couldn't figure it out. So he said now I understand resend it. He couldn't understand the reason he couldn't vote the 2nd day. I told him he had to wait for his time to vote.
We need to find a company of employees to start voting!!!!!!
Was it a rabbit, Dana..?
I think we have sound again...
Lisa has a pic of when the one chick went out of view - I remember your saying you couldn't see all 3 of them, Paula.
I voted!
Vote for Mai here!
To all lurkers...please vote for our Mai! Thank you!
We need a barking dag so we can test the sound on the cam..........
Good afternoon friends! Waiting on Mattie to get out of school. I am picking her up at the band room since she is on crutches.
Boy I hope we do have our sound back! Belle was flipping out yesterday! Wish I could heard her.
The river is not into the canal prism yet. another 2 to 3 inches of rain will surly change the situation.
I just went to the wild goose. very close camera on her. This will be great when the eggs hatch.
What's the voting for ? Tell me where to go and I'll help out.
Hi Bev, I remember you said it was a bad sprain and on the opposite ankle that had just healed. Will this one heal soon?
I think there IS sound, but it is so faint that I can hardly even hear it on earphones. Disappointing.
I think you have it all figured out correctly, Jo---the voting that is!
Are geese like ducks? Hatch, get up and go to the water??? She is a pretty goose!
Jim, we made it from 64 to 32. Next week it will be 16, then 8, then the final 4. Winner to be announced on the 4th of April! Just like the NCAA March Madness in college basketball!!!!

Metromix of DC is sponsoring a contest looking for the most lovable pet. Lynn of Hedgesville aka Hedgie on our blog
entered her Shar pei puppy, Mai Ying.
The contest started last week with 64 pets and is now at 32 pets. Mai has made it into Round 2 - that is what we are voting now through Sunday the 13th.
Open this link Donnie
This is the main page - go down and open the Fetching Division.

Mai ying is in 2nd place. thats great. Whata great face. Tons of character.
Yes, Jo, very disappointing to have the shows be repeats again. :(
Thanks, Jo. I kept looking for that wandering rascal!
Belle currently incubating....
Haven't checked out the goose cam yet...

I just ate one very sugar coated Fastnacht that was extra yummy!!!
So Happy Fat Tuesday........

The Harlem Globetrotters have announced that their 2011 “4 Times the Fun” World Tour stop in Shepherdstown tonight is completely sold out.
I accidently bought LED tree lights---hated them! Did not use them! Made everything look BLUE!
Speaking of lights...the one on my vacuum power head just burned out! No more night time vacuuming for me! LOL---have rarely done that since I retired!!!
Mother Goose returns each year to lay and hatch her clutch on a roof top
in Contra Costa, California..
Hi, Everyone!
Getting here late again today. Have been doing homework all day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEULA!!! Hope you have had a fantastic day!
It's not quite time for me to vote for Mai again yet, but I'm watching the clock!
Lynn, it's been over 50 years since Hubby has had a fastnacht, but he sure does remember them!
It looks pretty cloudy at our nest, so I'm glad it seems to be warmer there today.
Guess what--Hubby thinks that Glo should publish a coffee table book of all her gorgeous bird pictures! I think it's a great idea, too! :o]
Putting feet up for an hour.
Every now and then I think I hear sounds on our cam..........
bbilw
I was just able to vote
Romeo just took the lead :<{
LIB JUST ARRIVED WITH A FISH FOR BELLE....She called out, immediatley mantled it, and he took off.
She's wolfing it down now.
Pieces of grass on the eggs.
Got both of my votes in for the day! Mai was trailing by 1% then.
Gee, sun is out for first time here today!
Lynne, fastnacht means "fast night" in PA Dutch - fasting before lent; and it's definitely a PA Dutch tradition.
Happy birthday Geula! ♥ Birthdays seems to come faster and faster after 30.
Jo, you lucky lady! Hope you enjoyed the fastnacht with me in mind!!!
I just finished making a small grapevine wreath without my gloves on.... Bad idea! Cuts and splinters everywhere...
Andy, if there's a safe and easy way to send you some fastnachts, let me know. We have lots of glazed ones and will have to freeze some.
I will vote again in 24 hours. I set the clock on the phone to remind me.
weatherman just said 2 to 3 more inches of rain again...
JO, Christie wants to know if you got a fastnacht or a krinkle, and did you get yours at Green St. Bakery? She did!!
Andy, we could mail your hubby a treat, but don't think it would be edible!
Jo, can't believe it took so long for that errant card to return!! I will email you with Chrissy's correct address.
Shuttle landing tomorrow has been moved up one minute to 11:57AM!
Oh, Diann, wouldn't it be cool if you could send some for Ken and Andy???
Donnie, OUCH!
Sorry Megan but I don't like that forecast. please go get a new one.
Does anyone know what the forecast is sounding like for the weekend when our little one might be popping out?
I'm so glad it's going to be rain. Just think how bad it would be if S--W was in the mix!... I would never get out of here.
Is that when its due. This weekend? I'll have to glue myself to the computer then, I'd hate to miss this again!
BWE cam is stuck
Now shuttle is scheduled for 11:48AM....must have tail-winds, LOL!
I was really thinking of going to Green Street but had sent hubby to firehall 1st (sold out) and then he buzzed down to the Dunkin Donut (sold out) and over to Giant Eagle where he found 1/2 doz.
Hi, Gang,
I'm back again.
Hi Miss Emma another cutie indeed.
Friday March 11th 48 Partly sunny, breezy colder
Saturday March 12 Partly sunny and breezy 57
Sunday March 20th Counds giving way to some sun 55
Monday March 21st Sunny and coler

Cute pic, Andy!!!
ISS visible here at 7:23....then Jeopardy time. Had my pancakes for dinner. Good....but not as good as FASTNACHTS!
What is Margy working?
Never have heard of fasnachts. Googled it and got a good description as well as pictures. Look like a big no no to me.☺
Have been outside all afternoon. Yard is looking neat...not green yet, but neat. LOL Tulips are now blooming.
Hi
Home from Soup Kitchen
with Wanda and Gene and friends ☺
Here is the message I get for Still Cam site and the FWS site:
Service Unavailable
The requested service is temporarily unavailable. It is either overloaded or under maintenance. Please try later
Well, It is TUESDAY and sometimes that's when things take place for that out in Colorado,
or maybe it is my computer
accidentally hit the NASA TV site and now I have that on ☺
going out soon to watch for ISS, will be back after that to try to catch up
I didn't have fasnachts, but I DID have some wonderful chow including strawberry cake roll with cream cheese icing...that'll do !!
bbl
The West Virginia University Extension Service Garden Calendar for today the 8th says: seed leaf lettuce and spinach (indoors) for this area.
For tomorrow the 9th Seed tomatoes (indoors)
Hubby and I together voted 5 times from this household! But Romeo is 1% ahead - so gather up your friends and
tell them we need their votes.
Guess what - I ate an organic banana!
Hello again!
I have never heard of Fat Tuesday.
I feel so good when I have chocolate and peanut butter and moon pies and a Frosty here and there.
I see Larry and Lucy.
Larry and Lucy are romping.
I can almost see Belle on the nest.
Going to prepare dinner. Just learned on fb that my newest expected baby is a great nephew. Wow! That is the 4th grandson for my brother and one granddaughter.
Oh, and by the way, my brother told me today he voted yesterday and today. He is a dog lover and I will continue to remind him.
wow
was anyone expecting or prepared for that ???
watched what I thought was ISS, saw it sail overhead and then fade out, looked again, another brighter object, exact same path ...
must have been Discovery WAY ahead of ISS - neato !
We made 3 votes from this household and I know of 4 votes from family and friends. Will continue to post each day.
I am lost BEagle - who is Larry & Lucy
Margy, 4 years ago we saw that in Colorado but did not know what we were seeing. They were very close together going across the sky. Jack called a good friend and described it...."OMG" he replied "You saw it!" He knew and was very jealous!
I am out of here for awhile - I will check back in - need to solicit more
votes for Mai Ying.....
BBILW
We are going out and looking, Margy. 7:54, shuttle and 7:56 ISS. Thank you for saying something.
Evening, all!
FYI, NCTC website is down.
Naturalist friend in New York agrees....carp at BWE yesterday morning...
Where is the link to vote?
Do organic nanners taste like regular ole' nanners?
That moon is happy because I took the edge off with a moon pie.
: )
That is really neato..to see two satellites at the same time! I bet that doesn't happen often.
OK Lolly - -
the shuttle goes over first, not as bright as ISS, so as soon as it is "done" look backwards again and the Space Station should be roaring right along
discovered that about FWS when I signed on Paula...had to come to the Blog from your link on
E-M page...thank goodness I can get to it from there - Thanks !
I haven't tasted a good banana in about six months, BEAgle, but I have never tried the organic bananas
bbl
NCTC is down? But not the cam.
Who is at the KIDS nest? Isn't that Larry and Lucy?
Don't tell me it's dingbat day today also!
Hurried home from Soup Kitchen to catch Terrific Tuesday shows and come to find out...it's not so terrific:(
Had a visit from Margy at the Soup Kitchen...she ate with me and helped in the clean up...THANK YOU MARGY. A few photos on Just For Fun...it WAS fun!
I voted.
Hi,
Can't vote yet, but Kathryn rounded up several votes for Mai Ying today.
JO, Larry and Lucy are the eagles4kids pair.
Gotta go walk the doggie ☺
Got a phone call from Bette. She's the one who was in the hospital because of a heart issue about 3 weeks ago. She is fine now. She said they kept her overnight in the hospital and discharged her. It was an atrial fibulation. Betty swims regularly. She said a half mile at a time. She is very active and busy.
I am having a really hard time staying awake.
Voted. Samar is ahead right now.
Have to go to bed now. I am so sleepy. Good night and God bless.
Great pics, Wanda!!! So glad the clothes closet is working out well, too! I saw those rib bones on your plate----picked clean!!!
BEagle....I think Phat Tues. may have originated in New Orleans. Most of us call it Shrove Tuesday, of course....and tomorrow is Ash Weds.
Yesindeedy Ma'am and Sir, Wanda and Gene, it was a lovely evening, a great way to close out the afternoon, thank you so very much...all of your friends there, are so welcoming and cheerful...and I love my take-home treats! If I give up chocolate for lent, it will have to wait a few days ☺
xoxox Thank you !
BEagle, I was surprised...to see the second object flyover, because I thought I was watching ISS and was looking for Discovery, then lo and behold there along came ISS
I was equally surprised last night when they were closer !
wonder what people think when they look up and are not aware of the satellite flyovers...
I am losting my internet a LOT these days, need to figure that out, it is very frustrating !
lsot it for 20 mins, it is back on now
think the FWS sites are back up, I just got the still cam to open up ☺..not that I can SEE anything
Shirley
I am sorry I missed you...thank for the update on Bette and am glad to hear she is doing okay now...atrial fib...wonder what the short-term and long-term treatment options her doctors might have for her....
I'll tell you...when you see it and do not know what you are seeing, as we did in Colorado, you wonder...what the heck????? LOL
Called Laurel and told her about the flyover. Her comment was "Eh, seen that before in Colorado." Then she laughed.
okay caught up I think...
Paula
thanks for all the info from the Outdoor Channel people about the audio, for keeping them updated on what we hear and don't hear
Glo
Surely hope the car problems...are not serious...
I have paid for my Blazer twice probably now with repairs, big fat expensive repairs over the years...
and today, a vehicle slow-rolled backwards into the front of it! No real visible damage, but I see blemishes on the paint...that only a "mother" would notice, so I get to write my report and then go get estimates...
no crunches, just paint blemishes...it was on the work parking lot, so someone else gets to pay for it this time
I have voted...Mai Ying at 17% and Samar at 19% -
think positive and keep voting!
I'm a little out of touch...
some of you have talked about Ted and Lucky's Bear Cam, right?
friend just emailed me the link and now I am watching it also!
will return the favor and send her Lily and Hope and the two cubs' website
Yea!
Paula
sorry to bother you this one more time:
Can you repeat what you think the possible/probable hatch dates will be for NCTC?
I will write it down, I promise !
Just in case someone needs a link
Vote here for Mai
Margy, sorry about the Blazer....how in the world did that happen? Was the slow-roller a county vehicle?? So the county pays for your damage? Or a private vehicle with insurance?
Glo, what did you find out about your car??
BBL. Time for Mai to go out, and then I'm gonna go ahead and get my bath. Got half my manicure done.....polish yet to do.
Going to read for a while. Will be back to say good night!
Dana
not sure about your one-by-one animal tracks, but I checked a chart I have, and it could be red fox, or possibly domestic cat!
Wolverine might be a choice, but not around here !!!
Just checking in - Thanks Paula for giving me their names as I had no clue.
Organic nanners taste just like the
real thing, BEagle.
Shirley, sorry I missed you and I hope you have a very deep restful sleep.
BBILW
Margy, I think the hatching dates for the first egg are likely to be next week, Mon - Wed, the 14th to 16th...that is days 37-39, and for the second egg, Wed-Fri 36-38 days
Just in to say goodnight everyone.
My vote is in for Mai and now to watch a repeat of "The Good Wife."
Prayers for all needs and wants.
God bless!
P.S. Wish I could send each of you some fasnachts.
UGH--there was a huge Boris on the outside of th ebasement door. I would say that spring is here! Luckily it was not moving....smashed it flat with my shoe.
I am way out of touch. Phat?
I have a question about regular bananas. If there are Organic Bananas, does that mean regular bananas are inorganic?
Just thinking out loud.
I better hit the hay.
Prayers for all you all. ♥
Argh Hedgie Hate spiders especially big ones. I did answer your question about the car. its that long TMI post about half an hour ago. Didn't know how to make a long story short but thanks for asking.
Paula
Thank you !
I cut and pasted the hatch info onto word pad, made it large font and it is right by the computer
Dumb raccoon just chased off a deer. Light is out so guess she didn't come back.
Glo
glad to hear that the heater problem...was not as big a problem as the quack (?) mechanic might have suggested, and yes, wonderful neighbor man...
I have had the heater coil replaced too!
would like to know more about Dana's lone-footed tracking creature...could be, like Jo suggested, a hopping bird !
After our guests have gone and the dishes are being washed, at the Soup Kitchen, we package up and freeze the left overs, if there is enough for another meal. If there is not enough to have another meal, we pack it up in containers
and send all our helpers home with a Goody Bag.
Margy got a Goody Bag tonight with
Ribs, Chicken and Pork, a small red velvet cake and some yogurt...hope you enjoy it MARGY:)
I lost internet one more time, so I am calling it quits and headed to bed...
will be saying prayers for the many things on my list
Thanks again Wanda and Gene for the home-cooking and hospitality
Hope Sleep is Sweet and restorative
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Yes, Wanda...I certainly will ☺
'Night now, pals
Getting late already~~~time sure flies when you're not having fun! LOL
Looked up the fastnachts recipe & one has mashed potatoes in it.
Gonna get crackin'--
Pleasant Feather Dreams to All & prayers for good health ;>)
by the way, Blackwater has refreshed and it is night-time there now
Mama Eagle almost looks like a skunk !
Diann..I wish you could too !
send us fasnachts, enjoyed your story about all that
Thanks Magpie That Stop Leak stuff was on a mission to really mess up lots of stuff had it not been found and removed.
News flash:
A tsnuami alert has been issued after an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 hit the northeast coast of Honshu, Japan, on Wednesday afternoon, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The quake, at a depth of 10 kilometers, struck at 12:45 p.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
Belle is awake and looking to the right. Brighter tonigh than last night...next week should be good :)
Anxious to see your photos Naturenut Photoshop is a huge program from what I hear. Many in the camera club use it for various things.
Well I didn't watch any repeats. I did some bookwork....
Don't like the % on our Mai tonight.
Lizzie and Samar jumped ahead - They both must have late night voters....
I have put the word out to all family and friends..... I so hope Mai comes out on top! This is fun competition!
Checked out your pics from tonight, Wanda. I can't believe how long your hair has grown! There is more there then a pony tail!
That is not good news, Lynn. Nature
is going to be at it again.
Belle up for a wing stretch and an egg roll
Nice pics and trail cam video, Wanda.
Andy, cute pic of Emma with her leash. ♥
Going to watch news and then hit the pillows
Good Night everyone
Pleasant dreams and restful sleep
Prayers being said for all
Hugs For All ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Heading to bed!
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Hitting the hay here too.
Hugs to all ♥
Howdy, Gang!
I got the hint, so put the floral leash on her, and she happily went out the door with me to do her business!LOL :oD
Glo, I am so glad that your car issues worked out so happily!
Good Morning Eaglet Momsters!
I have some changes to initiate around here so I won't be on much this morning, but wanted you to know that I'll be watching!
A big hug for each and every one of you!
Tonight
Rain. Rain may be heavy at times after midnight. Lows in the lower 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
Okay Megan
Thanks for the heads up
Be careful, and I hope this does not hurt your crops or mess with the greenhouse,
or the basement !
Now I know what kind of coat to pull out for the day :(
Best wishes for a good day everyone, thought I would say that before my internet crashes again
xoxox
Paula
I have sound at the live feed...
it's not the greatest but I do have it
Cloudy skies today won't allow highs to get out of the 40's, but Some areas could see the leading edge of rain move in between 1-3pm, and by evening rush hour it could be in full swing. Of course this will not be the heaviest rain; that will hold off until tomorrow. We are still likely to receive 2 inches of total rain, but some could see up to 4 inches as a result of isolated heavier bands of rain.
Hello Margy:)
Hello Megan :)
Wow, I might even have to pull out a rain hat or one of my
Babooshka scarves....
Always good to get the advance warnings on what to expect
Take care now...
I think you better pull out a motorboat...
Seriously I do hope this doesn't create any issues for you and your beautiful flowers.
haha, stupid starling was gonna check out the nest- getting the evil eye.
Sound is awful here, static and hum- I turned it off.
Shuttle ladning time has changed again: now 11:57AM! I would say tune in at 11:30 to be on the safe side if you want to see it!
No news footage of Japan quake that I have seen so far. Just mention of it. In this age of video magic, that's surprising.
I don't hear any sound at all, Megan.
Just killed a grass Boris in front of the door---on the INSIDE! Argh.
Position shift---wiggle, wiggle....no egg roll.
I have sound, can hear wren singing. But the hum is just too annoying.
Don't forget you daily Mai vote!!!!
VOTE FOR MAI
She is trailing a bit!!! TY!
The Garden Calendar for this area says: 9th Ash Wednesday seed tomatoes (indoor), 10th Thursday seed peppers (indoors).
My delete----I stuttered! Blogger cop is being a pain today----taking forever to post!
When I searched for domestic cat tracks in snow it showed two paws together
Go to line 15 2nd picture across
It did show a canine tracks along the powerlines
Go to line 9
3rd picture across
I still have other pictures on other pages on there to check out.
On page 2 there are some tracks that could be. I know there has been one in the area. Just above me 3rd mobile up a fox tried to get their dog. 1st line 4th and 5th picture across
Those canine tracks just looked too far apart.
My delete it posted twice.
Got to go drop off some paperwork at drs office.
Morning, all!
Lovely cloudy day!
Good Morning! I have been captivated
by the PA Falcon cam. Some beautiful
close ups of the couple. If you're free please take a look.
Looks like a stuttery blog here this morning, LOL
Egg roll, wiggle wiggle
At least the winds aren't supposed to be as gusty as they have been!
Good morning! 50 here and bright sun shine. High expected in the 60's. That is better than the 82 we had yesterday. I got a little sun on my arms. I need to start putting lotion on my arms!
Did you see this?
America's Oldest Wild Bird is a New Mom
Off to check cams!
Sprinkling here now. But wind has decreased...at least for the moment!
Didn't mean to run off but that cam is something else. Has to be a manual zooming.
I am waiting for NASA's Kennedy Space Center's action:
The weather continues to cooperate for Discovery's planned landing at 11:57:44 a.m.
LOL!

LOL Lynn! Guess she is the oldest banded bird.
Can hardly wait til early afternoon to vote. That is when I will do my reminding on fb.
That's pretty old for a wild bird...at least 60 years old! Wow.
I finally wrote down all my voting times from 4 different computers!

Let today be a reminder that life is short. Cherish every moment with love in your heart and never take one single personor moment for granted. May God watch over Healani and Rosie as he has taken Matt into his Kingdom.

rest in peace dear friend you will never be forgotten
Also, Matt's wife and small child will need many prayers in the days and weeks to come.
THANK YOU♥
Sad story indeed, Wanda. I'm sure she'll be allowed back to driving and running calls at some point. I don't know if they do it there, but in Frederick County, they also offer grief counseling to EMTS, FF's etc, especially when they end up on a call of a friend. Has happened to my John many times.
