Daughter wanted me to taste the dolphin fish. She knows I love watching Dolphins. I did say, "It is not truly a dolphin is it? Cause you know Mom isn't eating no dolphin!" She laughed and said, "no Mom I would never do that to you". It did taste good but I still had a problem because of it's name lol
Good grief, I go off to lick my grape Koolade and everybody got busy on the blog.
Wonderful about the SD panda cub. Watched a few minutes but looks like mom is tired and sleeping.
Love the Siamese stories. Let me add one. Frank was out walking Lily and Koko on their leashes and a woman driving by stopped her car, rolled down the car window, and started singing "Hold That Tiger"
Gallows Road death is really quite a mystery. Police chief on t.v this morning asking public for help. Also, a second homicide on Hummer Road.

Oh, I love that video of the new little noisy stick of butter!!! That is so cute and she immediately swooped him up and cuddled him. How awesome is that?!!!
Just talked with my brother, it is his daughter in law who is sister to Gus' mother. Anyway, all I know is that it is going to be joint custody. That is all I know.
My brother went to the hospital today, had a kidney stone blasted. That is why I was talking to him. He is home and doing okay.
OMG Just talked with Gina, Gus' mother. I will talk with you later.

Love dolphin fish---very mild. Delicious grilled! One year at Ocracoke a guy had more than he could store to take home and was giving it away in campground. Very tasty.
I am gonna go veg in front of the TV, catch The Cleaner and Saving Grace I missed the other night. I will check in with ya'll tomorrow. Thanks again for all the prayers! You guys are definitely the best!!!!
Duh....just learned something new.....know how to use F-keys on this netbook now!!! Couldn't figure it out before, and hints given here didn't work. Daughter told me how!! Maybe it's Dell-specific! {}[]|\
Shirley, just have to hold down the Fn key (blue) next to Ctrl while striking an F key, or any of the symbol keys in blue, or functions in blue on number row.
I have to use the network connection key sometimes to help my students--probably because someone else has deliberately turned off their network connection.
Earlier, Jo mentioned about joining Eagle/Osprey Forum, but I had registered already on Bird Nests of the World & see that a lot of people are on both, so info will trickle down! Speaking of trickling, we used to lick KoolAid off our pals & loved the wax pop bottles and lips.I didn't like Jujubes much at the movies, but ALWAYS got Raisinettes!
Hi Loretta. Did you see the video of the baby panda? Loud little stick of butter. Well I am calling it a night. Sissy hope they find out what is wrong with Tom. Pleasant dreams. Prayers for all in need.
just read back---Hope Tom gets taken care of SOON! Tests, tests, & more tests---at least he's somewhere where they can ease the pain. Flower Alert in the nest??? Call Trooper Megan. I haven't looked at it & now it's dark, but 1 idea was maybe horsenettle.
Looked up Datura plant---it and other nightshades contain substance that causes delirium----the inabilty to differentiate fantasy from reality!!!!!!!Keep the birds away! Is that what was in the KoolAid powder???
Megan, it says that the flower opens early -- at twilight -- and releases a strong lemon-like scent. Maybe you could go over and verify that for us! It's worth a sniff! lol But be careful - it is poisonous...
We get it in the yard, there are many very pretty 'exotic' varieties, and then the common weed that grows around here. I don't remember it having a nice scent, and I ain't climbing any tree to find out if it does.
Think jimson weed is a bit more dangerous than the KoolAid stuff. I remember hearing about it before, as I recall it was a plant my father talked about at some point. He was always fighting weeds.
Mema Jo is it poisonous if you smell it? If so don't go sniffing that plant Megan!!! If the sniff doesn't kill you. The fall out of the tree will!!! :(
Yea, Shirley! So glad you think your room assignment is a good one.
Here is the latest on Gus and from this point on I am going to try to let it go. It is a 50/50 custody, one week with one parent, then back to the other, and so on. Gina will not receive any child support. This is not good for her as she is unable to work. Thus now she applies to SS and disability. Meanwhile Gus get counseling and they have regular drug testing. She called and told me her side of the story. I have heard his side from Michael who was in the court room. Who do you believe? I can not do anything, therefore I hope I do not hear from them again,. Wishful thinking! Yes, I will worry about Gus, but again, there is nothing I can do. Except pray and that I will do. I will not be burdening you all again. I close the door on this!!!! I have to!!
If there is a twin to be born, it should happen soon, but we don’t believe there is a high degree of likelihood a second cub will be born at this point
I believe the one they saw in the left horn during ultra-sound, they did not think was developing, so she will just re-absorb it back into her body, which is what they think happened to Mei xiang two years ago.
Oh, wow, almost forgot about the twin. Apparently this is usually taken care of naturally and since they did not see it on the last ultra sound unlikely she will have the other. Right?
This is mainly for Momster Judie: UPDATE: Bandit is doing well. No apparent injuries from her fall. "HER" flight feathers aren't quite grown in yet so she will be kept at O.W.L. until she's ready for release. Yes, HER -- she's big, heavy and quite likely FEMALE. Of course, only blood work would prove that but her size is a big indication. Pictures will be forth coming. Chris is in the middle of doing a computer back up first and will be sending the photos when she has a chance.
They are putting me back in the 11th grade house, which makes sense since most of my students are 11th graders. Seniors will come to me there. I will still miss being in the room I had the first part of last year, but this one is much closer to places I need to go every day than the rooms I was in last year, and it is in the new part of the building, which is nice.
Jo, thank you so much for the Bandit update and for the link. I seem to have some difficulty navigating that blog. Just so happy to know everything seems to be going well for the little girl.
Shirley, happy you got a good classroom. Know from experience the room can be a curse or blessing.
Showing my ignorance but when watching Bai, her respiration seems rapid. Is that normal or is it just an effect of streaming?
Lolly, prayers for Gus are a good thing. Letting go is a good thing for you.
Well, I think I'll go and watch t.v. also. Be back later to say goodnight.
its normal, she is a big giant panda, and it may be a little warm there....our NZ pandas have nice a/c dens to sleep in at night and come into during the day if they want.
Yeah, I was a little worried. My friend Roseanna had commented that one room coming open was a tiny, windowless one at the end of the senior hall. I really did not want to be there. I like space and I like windows.
I will be across from the physics lab. Physics teacher is a nice man--a bit curmudgeonly sometimes, but we have been friends a long time. I could call him a curmudgeon to his face and he would laugh. Students love him.
just checked their site and Bai weighed in at 214, last September, probably weighs a little more than that now, but that is relatively small female giant panda.
Bai Yun has given birth to four cubs since her arrival at the San Diego Zoo: Hua Mei, Mei Sheng, Su Lin, and our newest cub, Zhen Zhen, born August 3, 2007. But Bai Yun's own birth was unique as well: it marked the first successful birth of a giant panda at the Wolong Giant Panda Research Center in China.
Bai Yun is curious, unpredictable, and mischievous. She enjoys anything scented with cloves or pine, and men's cologne!
Female Born: September 7, 1991, Wolong Giant Panda Research Center, China Arrived at San Diego Zoo: September 10, 1996 Weight in September 2008: 214 pounds (97 kilograms)
I thought the site said she had been gaining weight, but I would not think they would necessarily gain much weight from pregnancy since the baby is so small.
Mits, thank you for the update on Bai. Never thought about the temperature in the den. Kept thinking that if anything were wrong someone would be there helping her.
Prayers for Tom and a quick diagnosis and recovery.
Turning out my light now. Don't anyone worry about the night light, I'll leave it on tonight.
I am heading towards getting ready for bed myself. Seem to be at loose ends tonight. Guess I was so busy these last few days that I had not thought about the rest of the week. LOL Nothing planned!
I do believe I will do a bit more cleaning of cabinets. I am all for throwing things out. Jack better watch out. Only kidding. You know I would NOT toss him out.
Hope I'm out of the penalty box tomorrow so I can have a look at the video of Bai and cub. Going to call it a day. Enjoy what is left of this one! Prayers for all. Lolly, hope you can "let go and let God" in the Gus situation. Good night.
Back before bed---early dentist appt. I dread.I better take Fubby as driver & hope they novacaine my brain if they have to dig out fractured chunks :>(
Anyway, today I saw one of the juvie robins in yard (I think--he was not wearing nametag--these kids!) The baby wrens are squawking up a storm even when parents are not there w/food!I've yet to get a pic of a big open mouth in the doorway. BUNNY saga----we do see them here--one large visitor is called BunBun. Today while cutting grass, Fubby avoided one spot in middle of backyard. There's a round patch w/dead grass and fur. That must be a door AND the lawn wiggles from below! Dear friend from PawPaw has seen that in her mulch.Googled & parent's milk is rich & only visits "kittens" AM & PM for 5 minute sessions. They need very little care. Last year he saw flies over a spot like that---perished bunnies. We thought mother had buried them since they were gone. Plz make it, bunnies. Don't need another animal saga! ☺
I see that I missed everyone again:( Lynn, I have to ask you about the Evista. I have been taking it for preventative measures against osteoporosis, along with calciuom with D, also working out with hand weights. Do you think the Evista is a waste of money?
GeeGee got her shot in her knee. Hope this one lasts as long as the last one (one year).
We had Dolphin and koolaid for supper and what we didn't eat, the SIAMESE cat ate;)
Deb, if you get back, I love your osprey pictures & I see Janie can keep them in captivity for awhile. Do they misbehave? Does she know about the Finland predicament? If so I wonder what she would suggest. Just curious about an expert's opinion.Thx
WOWSER, I have never seen a fish as big as that blue Marlin! Looks like "no worries" got skunked today...oh well, at least he can say he fished in the tournament...and they still have one more day to fish, although he won't be out the last day...
Thanks for leaving the night light on, Judie - so I could find my way on here to say Good Night! Whew! Boatloads of comments since I left town, was worried until I opened up and found all the fun on Pandas, and Boats and Dolphins.
Hope Thursday brings an easy dental appoinment for NatureNut - comfort for Sissy's Tom and a general all around good day for everyone.
Andrea - Let me know when the guacamole is ready ☺
Wow, something is different about posting a comment just now...new format of some kind. Is it just me? I used to get a yellow preview screen, now it is white and in the middle. Oh well, guess it is working about the same.
Finney: One chick, then two chicks and a parent. In and out. Also there were a lot of little boats in the water at Finland. No birds though. Thanks for all the Panda and other cool links, everyone.
Good morning all! My rear end is adraggin' this morning!!! Pray for healing for Tom! I need him to come home!! This is a lonesome ole' place without him for sure!!
I don't know if you've seen the new Panda cub, Sissy, but if you go to the blog, there is a good picture of the baby Panda right after birth, and they have a video of the actual time she delivered it.
Butt is draggin' the ground!! Tom is still having alot of pain this morning. He had been feeling a little bit better yesterday evening but then the pain got really bad again in the middle of the night. I just don't know! They are gonna do some more tests this morning. Sure wish they would find out what it is and fix it!!
They have just blown us off when we mention it, like it is not possible that one has anything to do with the other. Seems pretty coincidental though, don't it?
Morning all:) light rain here Hope you find something out about Tom this morning, Sissy. Don't let them overlook the lyme disease, many doctors choose to ignore or not validate symptoms from lyme, many have ulterior motives for doing so. The health care and insurance industry has real issues with lyme, cause it costs them money to treat it, and is becoming an epidemic.
it was pretty here, some working fishing boats dotted the horizon, and there was a big storm farther south and could see beautiful cloud to cloud lightning
Today Mostly cloudy with showers likely with isolated thunderstorms this morning...then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. » ZIP Code Detail Tonight Partly cloudy in the evening...then clearing. Lows in the upper 50s. Northwest winds around 5 mph. Friday Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. Northwest winds around 5 mph. » ZIP Code Detail Friday Night Partly cloudy. Lows around 60. West winds 5 to 10 mph in the evening...becoming light and variable. amen:)
We always used to plan our beach vacations around the full moon. For the really low tides so we could find shells. We used to rent a house for a week at OC,NJ...ah, the good ole days.
Loretta, I know that Janie would never let a bird suffer. I also believe she wouldn't have put the osprey back in the nest, but I will try to find out for sure this weekend.
Hi Deb:) yep, too long... mostly feel bad for kid, she really misses it. Tried to trade in hubby on the cash for clunkers program, but found out it was only for vehicles...ha ha ha ha
Good morning, early birds. . . . Guess it isn't so early after all.
I see it is raining at the nest. Giving a good watering to the plant there. Was going to sleep in, phone rang, sitter emergency, Hunter's sitter did not come to door this morning. Got up and started fixing coffee, had a sip. Phone rang again. Sitter located. Don't think I can go back to bed now.
I get to go see Color Purple today! The restaurant we're going to has a "casual elegant" dress code. Looked that one up. It sounds like a clean t-shirt would be okay, but think I will wear something a bit more dressy . . . after all, I'm going to the BIG CITY.
Howdy Sharon and Stronhunter :) That's the great thing about Hot Lips, it doesn't need a lot of care. Just cut off the old spikes when the blooms are finished on it, so it will keep blooming.
Story of my life, another gov. giveaway I don't qualify for. Still trying to get classified as a bank so we can get millions... Gonna go cut some flowers, rain is almost finished here.
Of course, even though I have no fancy degrees in economics or bank management, I haven't run the bank of mom into the ground. I guess you have to do that to be bailed out.
I haven't loaned anyone who earns minimum wage $300,000 to buy a house--not yet, anyway. Don't have 300,000, but guess that wasn't a problem for some of those banks.
SISSY!----I just scanned & read about TOM'S unknown condition---More PRAYERS & PRAYERS are being sent to 'you' & TOM!----SENDING IT WITH MUCH LOVE!!---(you two are special)!!!----w/check when I get back!!-----
I am wondering if the ground hog will make another visit to my yard. Probably wouldn't want to corner one of those. Anything could be living under my front porch, though.

The Wahoo fish is large - just looked it up. Well sure not as large as the
blue that came in.
I ate dolphin fish when we went to Boca Raton, Florida to visit daughter.
roflmbo, Ceil...
some of those boats are gorgeous.
The boats are really handled well when they come up to park at the dock..
Wahoo wasn't large enough !
I hope the white marlin comes in soon
SD Zoo cam operator is really trying their best to capture that little cub in Bai's arms.
Looking through real estate setion.
Tragic about Sissy's children. Glad to know so I won't blunder and bring back bad memories.
Jo, just use a razor blade. Not nearly so painful.
Shirley, did you win a lottery?
Back to finish the kitchen cleanup.
Judie
Oh, I love that video of the new little noisy stick of butter!!! That is so cute and she immediately swooped him up and cuddled him. How awesome is that?!!!
Just talked with my brother, it is his daughter in law who is sister to Gus' mother. Anyway, all I know is that it is going to be joint custody. That is all I know.
My brother went to the hospital today, had a kidney stone blasted. That is why I was talking to him. He is home and doing okay.
OMG Just talked with Gina, Gus' mother. I will talk with you later.
Good evening eagle buds! Sorry I haven't checked in with ya'll but I trust Sharon has been keeping you up to date on the Tom and Bev saga.
Still no news about Tom, more tests tomorrow. I think he may be feeling some better this evening, though. A couple of doctors came in and did some manipulation to try to help with the spasm in his side. He got that when the pain was so bad and his muscles just balled up. They couldn't do the tests today because the contrast from yesterday's CT will obscure the IVP and HIDA scan results.
Judie, I definitely did not win the lottery. That is why I am holding off. Trying to figure what I need the most.
Sissy keeping you all in prayer and they can ease Tom's pain. Hopefully tomorrow they can find the problem.
Love dolphin fish---very mild. Delicious grilled! One year at Ocracoke a guy had more than he could store to take home and was giving it away in campground. Very tasty.
Definitely hope Tom is better soon.
Shirley where does the person live that gave you the Colorado Raptor link?
Dana, she lives in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Good to hear from you Sissy! Prayers are being offered - Hope they can pinpoint Tom's problem and get him some relief! You take care, Gal!
Wahoo is going up in prize money!
WHoo HOo!
Thanks ya'll! Great news about the baby panda at SD!!!
I am gonna go veg in front of the TV, catch The Cleaner and Saving Grace I missed the other night. I will check in with ya'll tomorrow. Thanks again for all the prayers! You guys are definitely the best!!!!
That prize money show pay for his trip up from FL....
Rest well, Sissy. Sure that you are slam wore out. Prayers are with you and Tom.
Looks like there is a flower on the nest plant.
Duh....just learned something new.....know how to use F-keys on this netbook now!!! Couldn't figure it out before, and hints given here didn't work. Daughter told me how!! Maybe it's Dell-specific! {}[]|\
Lynn, I have a Dell laptop, but I do not use the F-keys much. Is there something I should know?
Really does look like a Flower in the Nest!
It is a trumpet-shaped bloom. I do not think that is a horse nettle bloom. Looks like another one about to form near the 9:00 area.
Looks like the part of the plant near the 9:00 area might be a bit smashed. Wonder who would have done that?
Guess we need our Floralgirl to help us ID it. Too large for a Trumpet Vine
Don't know what it is, but that plant is taking over the nest.
Don't expect sycamores bloom like that.
I've only ever seen prickly little sycamore balls on our nest tree!
That is what I thought.
Googled, Sycamore trees do have flowers, but not like this one.
Shirley, just have to hold down the Fn key (blue) next to Ctrl while striking an F key, or any of the symbol keys in blue, or functions in blue on number row.
I know that I use the Fn and F8 key to for the data projector, and I believe the Fn F2 key controls your network connection.
Oh yes, I see some blue numbers on some of the number keys.
I have to use the network connection key sometimes to help my students--probably because someone else has deliberately turned off their network connection.
Spidey or something strange is in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
Evening Everyone!!!
YIPPEEE!!!!Baby Panda!!!
Earlier, Jo mentioned about joining Eagle/Osprey Forum, but I had registered already on Bird Nests of the World & see that a lot of people are on both, so info will trickle down!

The nest plant, I'm sticking with my original guess- DATURA- google it, you'll see it has trumpet shaped blooms. It seeds readily in this area.
Hi Loretta. Did you see the video of the baby panda? Loud little stick of butter.
Well I am calling it a night.
Sissy hope they find out what is wrong with Tom.
Pleasant dreams. Prayers for all in need.
moon rose behind the clouds, peeked out, and now is behind the clouds again.
good night, my sister:)

Flower Alert in the nest??? Call Trooper Megan. I haven't looked at it & now it's dark, but 1 idea was maybe horsenettle.
No Ceil, didn't see video yet.
Megan, you are already on the job!!!
BBL---will give the "Magnolia Acres" report.
Jimson weed or the latin name- Datura stramonium, has white trumpet like flowers.
Yea! Just got my new room assignment for this school year. It should be a good one.
Looked up Datura plant---it and other nightshades contain substance that causes delirium----the inabilty to differentiate fantasy from reality!!!!!!!Keep the birds away!

Going to put my feet up and read!
Evening, all!
How is everyone? And Tom?
I logged in about 5 o'clock and peeked in on the blog and the nest. I read SD has a new panda baby! Was there only one so far?
Has Hidey been seen? The nest looked a little messy!
Haven't seen Hidey, but the plant has bloomed.
Oh, that is so cute. One tired Momma. She also knows her days are going to be busy! LOL
from SD blog....

Whoops! You gave me my answer.
Very good, Shirley. I hope it works out great and you have a good year.
Forget reading....I am just watching the panda cam! LOL
She is feeding baby cub again.
Going to watch some tv with hubby bbl
I got most of the yard mowed before i pooped out. Now I am all clean and ready to relax, I am going to do my nails next.
Where did you find video of the baby squealing, or was that live?
just goggle SD zoo site, they have all the stuff there.
foggy a.m. at Finney's nest.
Shirley, are you watching the panda? On that page, on the top line, you will find videos. Click on that.
there is no audio at SD zoo.
The video of the birth has sound, but the cam does not.
Jo, thank you so much for the Bandit update and for the link. I seem to have some difficulty navigating that blog. Just so happy to know everything seems to be going well for the little girl.

A squealing stick of butter! It is amazing! LOL

To see a mother so big and a baby so small is something to behold.
Giant panda cubs weigh about 4 to 5oz.
And how much do the mothers weigh?
just checked their site and Bai weighed in at 214, last September, probably weighs a little more than that now, but that is relatively small female giant panda.
Mei Xiang, at NZ, weighed in at 239 lbs, in July
Bai Yun's profile.....

I thought the site said she had been gaining weight, but I would not think they would necessarily gain much weight from pregnancy since the baby is so small.
no, not birth weight, but from some eating, although appetite diminishes before birth, but mostly inactivity.
She will be plenty active now.
I'm tired, going to close down for the night...good night everyone...prayers for all.:)
Judie will be pleased to know that George is stalking a moth. . . he just ate it. Hope it stays down.
Good night, Mits. I am pretty tired, too.
Back for a quick visit.

I do believe I will do a bit more cleaning of cabinets. I am all for throwing things out. Jack better watch out. Only kidding. You know I would NOT toss him out.
Good nite all!
Sweet dreams!
Good night all. God bless.
Hope I'm out of the penalty box tomorrow so I can have a look at the video of Bai and cub.
Going to call it a day. Enjoy what is left of this one! Prayers for all.
Lolly, hope you can "let go and let God" in the Gus situation. Good night.
Going to close down on a very GOOD day!
Prayers for all those in need for whatever the reasons...
Keep the Faith!
((hugs)) ♥
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Deb, if you get back, I love your osprey pictures & I see Janie can keep them in captivity for awhile.
Gnite, all!
Thanks for leaving the night light on, Judie - so I could find my way on here to say Good Night! Whew! Boatloads of comments since I left town, was worried until I opened up and found all the fun on Pandas, and Boats and Dolphins.
Hope Thursday brings an easy dental appoinment for NatureNut -
comfort for Sissy's Tom and a general all around good day for everyone.
Andrea - Let me know when the guacamole is ready ☺
God Bless Us, Every One
Wow, something is different about posting a comment just now...new format of some kind. Is it just me? I used to get a yellow preview screen, now it is white and in the middle. Oh well, guess it is working about the same.
Finney: One chick, then two chicks and a parent. In and out. Also there were a lot of little boats in the water at Finland.
No birds though.
Thanks for all the Panda and other cool links, everyone.
Hey, It's Tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Robyn! Hope it is your Best One Ever !
xo ☺ ♥
Good morning all! My rear end is adraggin' this morning!!! Pray for healing for Tom! I need him to come home!! This is a lonesome ole' place without him for sure!!
Boy, momma at San Diego sure does hide that baby well. I haven't even caught a glimpse!!
Good night/Good Thurs. morn
to you all.
Got to get some sleep. Have a good day.

Morning/night Jim!!
Happy Birthday Robyn!!!!!
I don't know if you've seen the new Panda cub, Sissy, but if you go to the blog, there is a good picture of the baby Panda right after birth, and they have a video of the actual time she delivered it.

Jim
Where is the blog, Jim?
Found it! Thanks!
Oh wow, Jim. They really did get great video, didn't they!? How exciting this is!! Love it, love it, love it!
Good morning everyone...have a good one....
Morning Mits! How goes it this morning?
Sissy check your mail, sent you the video yesterday...
fine, how are YOU doing????
do they think this pain has anything to do with the lyme disease , or treatment of it.?
Butt is draggin' the ground!! Tom is still having alot of pain this morning. He had been feeling a little bit better yesterday evening but then the pain got really bad again in the middle of the night. I just don't know! They are gonna do some more tests this morning. Sure wish they would find out what it is and fix it!!
They have just blown us off when we mention it, like it is not possible that one has anything to do with the other. Seems pretty coincidental though, don't it?
yes, unexplained pain, is hard to diagnose with out lots of tests....
well, duh, it is the first thing to come to this pea-brain mind of mine....
"Happy Birthday, Robyn", hope you have a great day.
They just had a piece on the Today show about the panda birth at SD!
I am gonna get dressed and head to the hospital. Check back later! Ya'll have a great day!!!
give Tom our best:)
Morning all:) light rain here
Hope you find something out about Tom this morning, Sissy. Don't let them overlook the lyme disease, many doctors choose to ignore or not validate symptoms from lyme, many have ulterior motives for doing so. The health care and insurance industry has real issues with lyme, cause it costs them money to treat it, and is becoming an epidemic.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!!
I see your are still in the scream mode, Megan:(
Opps, yeah, I guess so. Somedays, if I don't scream, I'll cry.
Never did see the moon last night, too many clouds here.
nest is starting to look like a jungle....sounds like rain falling there too, Megan
Yep, there's a light patch of showers passsing over here and the nest this morning, shouldn't last too long.
it was pretty here, some working fishing boats dotted the horizon, and there was a big storm farther south and could see beautiful cloud to cloud lightning

amen:)
We always used to plan our beach vacations around the full moon. For the really low tides so we could find shells. We used to rent a house for a week at OC,NJ...ah, the good ole days.
we are only supposed to be in the upper 70's today, with a NE breeze
how long since you have had a vacation, Megan????
It's been about 5 years since we went to the beach.
Good morning. Rain is on the way here. Sissy, hope they find out what is going on with Tom.
hi ya, Deb...., too long Megan...:(
Loretta, I know that Janie would never let a bird suffer. I also believe she wouldn't have put the osprey back in the nest, but I will try to find out for sure this weekend.
Off to work for me, bbl.
Hi Deb:)
yep, too long... mostly feel bad for kid, she really misses it.
Good morning all. Megan, my hot lips are really growing now. I love it! Don't need extra care or they would be dead. I definitely have a black thumb!
Fight them and convince them he is the clunker! :)
roflmbo...Megan, that is too bad....
Howdy Sharon and Stronhunter :)
That's the great thing about Hot Lips, it doesn't need a lot of care. Just cut off the old spikes when the blooms are finished on it, so it will keep blooming.
put some wheels on him and roll him in:)
Mits, Megan and I were talking the other day if we lived closer to each other we would hook up and head your way! :)
well hook up anyway.....
where there is a will, there is a way:)
Story of my life, another gov. giveaway I don't qualify for. Still trying to get classified as a bank so we can get millions...
Gonna go cut some flowers, rain is almost finished here.
just let me know when you are coming:)
Happy birthday, Robyn.
Best wishes for Tom and for Sissy. Hope it is a good day.
Noticed the different format for previewing comments. The "edit" button is a bit harder to find.
Oh, I wonder if he would notice if he woke up with wheels attached to his butt....
Sharon, head to my house and I'll drive from there. bbl
I have to come home on Tuesday to do looooong day at the zoo on Wednesday.
that cam at SD is really not conducive to good sightings of the cub, at least not at this stage
My kids have called me "the bank of mom." Does that qualify me for a bail-out?
just saw the resident rabbit in the sand dunes:)
yes, Shirley it does.
food at Finney's nest, but Koo is not getting any, sometimes she crawls over for leftovers.
That is so hearbreaking at Finney's.
Stopping in to say morning everyone and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN. Hope you come on to say hi. Off to get tea. Lots to do today. Have a good one all.
A rabbit in the sand dunes sounds a bit out of place.
Anything could be living under my front porch, though.
stranger is the red fox who stops by looking for the rabbit.
That is strange, Helen.
Mom and Braveheart are at BWO
playtime at NZ with Mei and Tian, Tai is roaming his yard.
up the tree they go:)
Lots of birds in sky at Finney's. Koo? very upset. Sibling finally arrived.
Now parent there.
Koo has been upset all morning:(
they are trying to get a close up pic of baby cub at SD
Parent with Koo, flock of birds passing by...
They are obviously agitated.
I thought mom fed Koo a little bit, but hard to tell what is going on now. She may be eating the fish herself.
earlier, Mom and 2 sibs were eating Koo got none.
Offered Koo some food. But can't see everything. That leg of Koo's is useless. Cannot heal without help.
Koo is finally eating.
Definitely feeding Koo now.
legs seems to hyper-extend at times.
she would make a great educational osprey, if they take her out of the nest.
It looks like she is just dragging it, don't you think
More birds flying over. I am guessing Koo gave out a cry of alarm and Mom responded. They look like pretty big birds.
It is hard to watch.
well in about a month, all the osprey will be heading to Africa
I do not think there is any way Koo can make it.
stateside osprey go to South America....
not unless it hops a plane:(
Adults migrate to Africa, too?
I am sure it will get plenty cold in Finland.
Split coming soon
Thanks for heads-up.
