33 here this morning. Have checked the yard and plants look okay. Put some into the greenhouse and covered the tomatoes.
Think I will work on my new planter today. It is on www.FriendshipGarden.com There is a video on the top of the page showing how to put it together. My problem is where to put it where it is protected from the wined.
OK second cam is up, but it is frozen on early this morn.
Lolly, I checked out the Friendship Garden ad and the Wistera is so beautiful. We used to have it all around the perimiter of our deck, but had to destroy it because during it's blooming season, the bees were so bad that we couldn't sit on the deck. Plus, all creatures great and small liked to climb and hide in it:(
Oh Lolly it's ok...I know you didn't leave me out...happens to all of us. When trying to type in names at one time or another. Just Good Eagle Morning to YOU Gal! ( :
Good morning, Jo! Yep, got my coffee right here. Did read the paper first this morning. Got up before Jack and had my first cup while reading the paper. Second cup goes with the computer. Guess what is left in the pot goes with my suduko!
I am going to eat a bite and work my suduko. Waiting for it to warm up a bit before I start working outside. Is up to 48 now, heading for the 70's today.
I'm back from reading papers, having a bite and doing emails....which were numerous!!! Wind has really picked up again...and it feels so cold. With so many warm days=hot house in the last few weeks, I have completely shirked fire-building duty...very little wood left, and like to keep a small reserve just in case...but think today is a good day to fire up the stove!
LOLLY, shots in the knee is not so painful. The nurse numbs it first then the doctor injects the MIRACLE JUICE into the knee and you will feel some pressure. I guess that is the medicine going in. Take it easy for a few days and then you should be able to go about your regular routine. Mine lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months. GeeGee had one last year and she still has no pain! It even took away the pain in her back:) Nothing to be afraid of.
Hey, we need some more Momsters to come along with us to visit Loretta's Park. We will be gone somewhere around 6 to 8 hours... Helen, Ceil, Mary Margaret, Dana, Paula, Norma...come on, climb aboard!! Megan is locked in her greenhouse, so she can't go with us:( So far, we have: Jo, Margy, Lynn, Maybe Jennifer and Ed, me and Gene. Plenty of room left.

looks like a bad day for me, Lynn, just getting back from Arizona the day before, and a huge busy day at zoo the next day for me, trail shift, panda cams and meeting.
Wanda - do you have a set date yet....I already said I was OK on your dates except the 23rd...haven't gotten any other emails from you about the trip...
Lisa beat me to the punch again and posted the link to my photos before I could post here. I've gotten some interesting comments lately. In addition to comments from my beloved Momsters I get some from people who think I am associated with the refuge or am a professional wildlife person. I got one today from someone asking for advice on what to do about an osprey nesting on their boat. I got one recently from an 11 year old student saying their class watches the Cam and hoped the eagles would not bring in a rabbit. Lisa told me one school had been watching another eagle cam and had to stop when an eagle brought in a cat. They were horrified.
Bob, that is so funny!!! Did the teacher truly think that the kids were upset or was it really her, I wonder? Kids are usually fascinated by that stuff!!! THink I commented here earlier about how great your pics are, but will repeat that thought!!! G-r-e-a-t!!!
I thought I had it too, the Momsters email, but I have been uncharacteristically diligent in trying to clear out emails from what is a very cumbersome program for me at times.
Ladies, I haven't said much about our Road Trip, because I didn't know what date to post. Had to wait on Margy's schedule and eliminate Wednesday for Helen (her Zoo day) and Thursdays for Paula (her payroll day) and wait on a report from Jo's doctor to see if he would allow her to take this trip. We have come up with the 21st of April and I am now waiting on work from Loretta to see if a Boat/Bus tour is available that day. There is so much to take into consideration when planning a trip like this and I REALLY DON'T WANT TO LEAVE ANYONE OUT. So, as soon as I hear from Loretta, I will email all of you who want to go. HAPPY TRAILS!!
That was Chris from myoutdoortv, he posted his email address on the blog last week, the first day the new website was on...I think cmose was correct...that was his blogger name
Thanks Mits great shot of Challenger. For some reason the video kept stopping and starting...speaking was hard to understand. Did that happen to anyone else???
HAPPY TRAILS Been going bonkers here--no internet for couple days-got it fixed couple hours ago! April 21 is a GO for trip. Schedule book is open. I cannot schedule & Director is at mtgs this PM, but I will put Post-It in book to hold that date!
Think Chris was cmoise on blog. Yes, Wanda, definitely a controlled burn!! Cooking now...won't be long before house is real cozy and dog will be lying on vent ( have a floor vent over the part of the basement where the stove is w/ a fan in it that forces the hot air up into the living room).
Wanda, perhaps you should call here on Wed. to make reservation w/Greg Lewis or you can email me all the info & I can call him in AM. PRP 301-627-6074 They will need ETA & how many people & a contact phone number which should be yours as you are the major transporter.
Is your video about an eagle in a stadium, Mits? I can't get it to open...found it on Fox and it still won't load. Going to reboot and see what happens.
He has also spent more time with this chick. Last year all he was doing was fishing 24/7 to feed the 3 eaglets. Belle was with the chicks most of the time.
Okay, got to see it that time, as well as the one from last May, where Al said that their bones are hollow, which is why their weight is low compared to their size. He also said they poop before they get ready to take off!!!! Beautiful bird!
Been trying to keep track of the PH and WE nests out West here, and it looks like PH definitely has a hatching egg under K 10 and WE is almost as sure to be having their first egg of the season hatching too.
Monday, April 6 You know it’s springtime in Atlanta when the dogwoods are in bloom, Grant Park is full of people enjoying the sunshine, and panda cubs are attacking shrubs. Since Xi Lan has been outside, he has found two new toys in the form of bushes. He likes to climb the larger of the two, working on his balance as it sways slightly in the wind. The smaller one is a bit more springy and right in front of the public glass window. Saturday, Xi Lan took a running start at it, pouncing at it with little cub ferocity. But the shrub retaliated by sending Xi Lan backwards onto his cub behind. Never fear, for Xi Lan came back at it with a right paw hook, and then took a bite out of its leaves. The battle was won, and Xi Lan celebrated his victory by heading into the dayroom for some nice air conditioning and a well-deserved nap. First he’s battling drain grates, and now shrubs? What’s next?
OH cool, Mits. Glad Liberty and Justice are doing so well!
I heard about the AEF getting scammed also.
My mother also lost money in a ponzi scheme some time ago....they are finally done trying to pay back investors..I think it's been going on for over 8 years at least.
Thanks, Mits, for that link....great slide show they have...and with sound!! Paula, did they actually pay your mom what she lost? Miracle if they did. Heard about one Madoff victim, 90 yrs. old, who had to get a job to eat....don't know if it's true or not.
OMG....don't know where my brain is....completely forgot to tell you that my SIL said there is a visible nest along the George Washington Memorial Parkway heading to Mount Vernon. Says he has seen the eagles flying.
yes Lynn read about that one last year, thing someone even put an article up about it. might have been me, don't remember, just know people were concerned about it being in the middle of the highway, but the Washington compost, does not seem to like to print positive stories

Lolly, you are looking for a place to put you Friendship Garden away from WHAT? Do you mean from the WINED AND DINED People who might fall into it?;)
I finally found a slothbear. Plenty of people watching also.
Maybe WIND?
Lolly, I checked out the Friendship Garden ad and the Wistera is so beautiful. Nice entrance from the back! Brought something...aha, a small stick
Thanks Mits it always helps to know when they are on cam. That way you know to keep looking and you'll find Asia Trail animals.
Isn't there a cam for "red pandas"?
Cool view on the OK 2nd cam...
no cam for the Red Pandas, Dana, only when a panda cam operator spots one and gets it on that way
Yes, wind! LOL
Guess I should read what I type. Problem is I make more errors on this laptop than on the computer. I am not used to this keyboard.
Have been on facebook playing around.
That is NEAT Paula. I had OK up earlier and only the Cam2 was working. Awesome Cam1 isn't it!!
Good morning, Jo! Yep, got my coffee right here. Did read the paper first this morning. Got up before Jack and had my first cup while reading the paper. Second cup goes with the computer. Guess what is left in the pot goes with my suduko!
Wanda, tell me about the shots you get for your knee. Think I will be getting one tomorrow.
Did anyone else loose sound on our nest site?
no sound here.
eagle sitting on pole in OK, other cam shows adult and chick...neat

I don't have sound either.
Duke Farms has a pic of their new chick on its site.
* Good Morning Eagle ♀ and ♂ Friends. *
Guess it is still morning...more or less...disappearing fast !
Thanks for the Duke Farms alert, Mits, that is one adorable little eaglet...
I don't have sound either, brought up Heron Cam to see if it was my computer or the site, got my answer Pronto !
xo ☺
Sure is quiet with sound gone.
I am going to eat a bite and work my suduko. Waiting for it to warm up a bit before I start working outside. Is up to 48 now, heading for the 70's today.
Have a great eagle watching day.

Osprey busy at BWO -
saw male and female at Loch Garten earlier, it's stormy over there, Loch of the Lowe's is windy!
Finney Water nest, water clear as glass, have been watching Osprey in and out there too...
Have we passed along the no sound news to Steve....
I know some of you take the lead in doing those kinds of things so I will hold off....
I sent him an email, Margy, but don't know if he is the one to contact anymore.
That Okla site is Neat, with the second cam back on with the nest platform view.....like old times from last year ☺
Both osprey at BWO for quite a while.
Daughter has arrived for our Tues AM visit.

Okay, Thanks Mits
Mema Jo: Have Fun! Hope you will be showing her the Eagle Fun...has she seen the new site?
Is this Jennifer?

Is it just me and my computer, but does the Eaglet page slow things down? I just had to close it down...
Wanda
Been meaning to tell you: I like the new avatar....
Perfectly beautiful site, there at WW, Deb....thanks for the reminder.
I am trying to behave myself this morning and only opening up a few things...
So, has anyone seen the Sea Eagles at the Finland Water site since the Osprey returned on Sunday? I know Sharon or maybe Sissy said they had seen one
Big Big Big boat at Finney Water now !
That's the Eagle Express of the Waterways!
Okay - my blogging timer went off, time to hit the To Do List...
See you good people later...

Hidey is making her own tent:)
Want to see something cold and beautiful?
Check out Deb's Photos ☺
Thanks, Margy...I stole the Avatar from Loretta (with her permission). I thought it was just beautiful...so fitting for on here.
Okay, Margy, I posted the Feetsies shot and the Finney over water shot on Lynn's Lair!

That certainly answers my question from earlier about the Sea Eagles !
Our Baby is really picking up some weight....and new colors...
xo Back to work....
" Maybe Jennifer and Ed "
That would be magical !
I sure wish I could go. :(
Wish that was a live cam right about now! And sometimes it takes awhile to refresh, though I think it is supposed to every 15 seconds.

Wanda - do you have a set date yet....I already said I was OK on your dates except the 23rd...haven't gotten any other emails from you about the trip...
dates were the 20th, 21st and 24th, Paula
Paula, it's set for the 21st. Wanda had it on momsters mail!!
hmm, I'm did not get the momster mail.
as a matter of fact, all I'm getting is the replies to momster mail sometimes.
Mits, it won't be the same without you! Hope Ceil and MM will still come, tho'.
Tai is acting like a looney, and Mei is getting annoyed with him
I asked Ceil, yesterday, and probably not for her either

well it has payed off...lol:)

Bob
There is a word that describes your beautiful photography, but, IT HAS NOT BEEN INVENTED YET !
No one can come up with a Proper Superlative!
So I guess Great, Fantastic, Magnificent, Terrific, Unequalled...all those big words will have to suffice for now
(can you tell, I really like your photos ~ ☺ )
And I do remember the 24th now...
that is the only time I saw the dates posted, on the blog last week
Nope, no email here...
Snowing here....think wind is blowing too hard for it to lay, thank goodness!

Don't know what happened to Wanda's mail...I can't find it now...don't think I dreamed it!!!
Flakes are big and dancing in the wind! But sky is getting lighter now...so maybe it's going to stop!
WOW I took a power panda nap.
Mits didn't you once write someone named "Chris" about our cam?
Sound still would be nice to have. We can turn it down when it is windy.
I thought I had it too, the Momsters email, but I have been uncharacteristically diligent in trying to clear out emails from what is a very cumbersome program for me at times.
Sometimes cyberspace just fails us!
I saw the flakes, Lynn...had to rule out white flowering blossoms first....

no problems with it here, but that happens sometimes when it is forwarded or made into a tiny url

Hidey alone with dead fish,
Wanda, perhaps you should call here on Wed. to make reservation w/Greg Lewis or you can email me all the info & I can call him in AM. PRP 301-627-6074
They will need ETA & how many people & a contact phone number which should be yours as you are the major transporter.
I will scan the map tonight & send to all who need it---it is only from the 95/495 Beltway to the Park.
Is your video about an eagle in a stadium, Mits? I can't get it to open...found it on Fox and it still won't load. Going to reboot and see what happens.
That was another cool entrance...could see Lib fly around the back of the nest and land into the nest....he brought a ton of fluff
no, Lynn, they were just interviewing his handler, with videos in the background
I could hear Challenger loud and clear though...tee hee
Beautiful eagle 20 yrs old soon.
Yes Lynn Chris was cmoise.
He flew at the new Yankees stadium last weekend
My email I received back says They supply the sound. I will need to check on it. So it is probably on Steve's end.
Here comes Mom with more fluff!!
Errr, make that DAD!
Belle has grabbed the leftover fish and is munching on it now.
finally, that looked like a really nice fish, not to be eaten
Belle is done and took off...Hidey is plopped in the bowl. Lib on the back.
Boy, Hidey sure does like that bowl...he really hasn't ventured out of it much.
Aww Lib is getting down with Hidey.
Yup, Hedgie, that is called 'lighten the load'
In checking on further info about Al Cecere, found this shameful news about his foundation
SCAMMED
It is a shame that someone can do this to so many innocent people and charitable entities. Sure hope that guy is in a cell w/ Madoff!
turkeys at PA
Temp is only 40 here. Still w/ intermittant snow flurries.
Thanks, Mits, your bluie link to the "Challenger" clip worked just fine.
That's an amazing eagle...

Jim
Been trying to keep track of the PH and WE nests out West here, and it looks like PH definitely has a hatching egg under K 10 and WE is almost as sure to be having their first egg of the season hatching too.

That's good news, Jim!!
AMERICAN EAGLE FOUNDATION
having trouble posting the AEF site, their eagle just laid 2nd egg today
Atlanta cub update....
Monday, April 6
You know it’s springtime in Atlanta when the dogwoods are in bloom, Grant Park is full of people enjoying the sunshine, and panda cubs are attacking shrubs.
Hi Jim I've been watching PH and WE also. Glad you spoke up and said you are too.
OH cool, Mits. Glad Liberty and Justice are doing so well!
I heard about the AEF getting scammed also.
My mother also lost money in a ponzi scheme some time ago....they are finally done trying to pay back investors..I think it's been going on for over 8 years at least.
Chicklet has been spotted at WE!!!
Still waiting on PH!!
Paula where did you hear that? I'm watching WE and I did not see a chick hummmm
AEF CAM - 2nd egg today
I've had a busy day today - daughter's visit and now I just finished the PT for my use with the cane - I passed!
I am going to put my leg up before
company comes in for spaghetti dinner..
That would be Alexis (ggd) who really likes meatballs!
Thanks, Mits, for that link....great slide show they have...and with sound!!
Paula, did they actually pay your mom what she lost? Miracle if they did.
Heard about one Madoff victim, 90 yrs. old, who had to get a job to eat....don't know if it's true or not.
It is after 5pm here, which means that it is after midnight in Israel, so can officially wish Geula a blessed and peaceful PASSOVER. Shalom.
OMG....don't know where my brain is....completely forgot to tell you that my SIL said there is a visible nest along the George Washington Memorial Parkway heading to Mount Vernon. Says he has seen the eagles flying.
LOL...was emailing a news article and when it asked me to dupicate the "security code" they showed, it spelled POOPLY.....thought that was very funny!
If I keep talking to myself, I'll get wax for the split, huh? Someone take over!!!
yes Lynn read about that one last year, thing someone even put an article up about it. might have been me, don't remember, just know people were concerned about it being in the middle of the highway, but the Washington compost, does not seem to like to print positive stories
