there are definitely 4 heronettes this morning. It is easier to see them without the sun shining on them, Adult back down on them, probably to stop the pecking! I still haven't seen a feeding. I wonder how they go about it.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---CONGRATS DEB!---you are our #1 EAGLE MOM today & everyday!!----Hey over flu & I am back---can't seem to get everything working on this computer!!---Can't see the EAGLES or the EAGLETS!!----will try to catch up!!----MORNIN'--DEB--BIRTHDAY GIRL-PAULA---MOVIN'JIM & LOVELY DANA!!!
Paula - you just spoiled by late breakfast! lol Hi Helen --- chilly out this am Sunny - hope today brings your good health back! Sharon - disappointing to say the least when you can't see our kids first thing when that pc comes on! Hope you get to watch it now that it has come up.
Hello Everyone - just been catching up. Steven, SO sorry to hear about fire!!Glad all are OK & hope you're repaired soon. Know these historic houses are valuable. My Park Div. maintains several.
Live feed just came ON!!!!Looks like feeding time, but parent was blocking some of view. Exciting at Park on Sat.---as I came in, the male eagle flew to the nest w/a fish!Couldn't stop & get camera out until he landed. Now I see chicks alone, napping,
Good Morning! shhhhhh! my live feed has been on for 30 minutes now....don't want to jinx it!
WOW, how the chicks have grown since I saw them last!
I went to the dentist today, after suffering for a few days with a toothache. I'm usually okay with going to the dentist but this time I lost my nerve, for some reason. I guess it's because it's the last three bottom teeth...
MORNIN' GEULA!!---I understand your PAIN---when it comes to dentists!!!---This is the 1st time I have had a chance to watch them!!!---Seem to GROW every hour!!-- ho!
Saw middle chick in pile stand up & do a nose dive. So funny! And "My, what big feet you have." "The better to hold fish!"
Yes, Jo, it's so exciting. I noticed when leaving Park yesterday & trying to take more pics of Mom, that soon the leaves will be coming out & it may be hard to get a good view. It's bad enough now w/all the twigs in the way.I have to delete 1/2 the pics. Oh, well, better than nothing! :>)
Other eggciting news at Park---they finally turned on our live feed osprey cam, however, for now it's black & white & no audio yet.Looks like 2 eggs.I don't know if it will get online. They tried that last year, but it only worked for a short time.
The eagle's nest you have at the Park-you sometimes wonder how the eagles fly in & out with all those branches. Guess we have to remember that this summer they will need that shade!
This is the very first time I've added a link like this and I guess a person can do ANYTHING if they really put their mind to it! I feel so proud of myself.....is patting ones self on the back considered a form of exercise?
THANKS JO!----Check that a couple time----guess I wasn't patient enough!!---She moved --- realized it was live!!----(not always with the program)---ho!
Got the front mowed...grabbing a bite to eat, then to the store for fertilizer and picking up a truck to haul all these branches outta here....hoping rain holds off.
Been away for awhile. Geula, Thx, that is a great link! How did you do it? Don't think our osprey cam goes anywhere but Visitor Center. We're lucky to get the phone lines/'puters to work down in the "country". I'll find out the future of it on TU. (I took pics of TV screen :-)

Just checked live cam & IT'S OUT!!! Was checking last spring's pics to find out when new baby critters will appear.Think I will post some very soon! Thx, Geula--I copied your intructions & printed them too. Might need to do that if our Park osprey came ever gets online.

Mits, Late last week Steve wrote a comment about his and John's work on NCTC feed. He said lots of service was out, even in DC, due to internet problems in Wheeling.
Then the NAAEE should be happy and willing to keep the cam up, if only for educational purposes. I have another thought, but not going to express it:):):), here.
I know, Nature, just didn't know the exact reason, that Wheeling was so prominent in this scenario, Deb may have given me the answer...we used to blame Denver, but that is a no-no to do that....I know Helen, shut your trap:)
The third egg is still in the nest at BC. If it isn't viable, how long would they keep it in the nest? Probably one of those questions without a good answer.
well since I can't get on to any fws.gov sites at all probably am not going to see it....asked hubby to ask his IT guy at work, why I might not be able to get on to those sites, I have turned this computer inside and out to try to find out why???
The Pugent Sound egg that didn't hatch but stayed in the nest forever... Eggbert was what we named the eaglet & we had some very funny captions on the pics with Eggbert & the unhatched egg!
What a gorgeous day in So. Cali! I hope the eagles on the Channel Islands are not too hot, tho! Yesterday it was so comical to watch dad move about the nest from one side to the other and the little chicklets kept following his shade LOL!
Also, what has anyone heard about the 4 eggs that had been laid in one nest in Ohio (I think that is where!)?? Have they hatched? Sorry was not following on those.
Mits.. I didn't know what you were talking about, so I googled fws.gov. Found it, and it seems straight forward.
Maybe you need their special java or something. Do you get a request to download anything when you attempt to open these sites? If you do, you should do it.
Next best guess is your "Internet Options" settings. Several years ago, I found out you could stop most pop-ups by disabling a certain scripting line in the Options, and it did work very well. Only trouble is, many sites, including my bank's, used that scripting, so I couldn't open them until I enabled that line again.
One thing you could do is return your security settings to default (medium). Another thing to try is temporarily disabling your pop-up blocker in I Explorer, then checking to see if you can open the fws site.
JIM, i have checked everything on this end that I can, everything is running smoothly, there are several others, Megan and Sharon that can't get on either.
Nope, it ain't your computer, it most likely has to do with the security roadblocks put up on a government site. For some reason it only affects some of us.
I went by the nest twice today on my way to walmart(ugh) and an adult was up above the nest perched each time. The same spot, just a little to the left above where they are laying now.
Finally got a couple new pic posts on Blog. Called "Other Full Crops & Spring Babies '07". Gotta do dinner now. Will eventually dwnload camera w/new eagle pics. BBL
SC/PH has both parents in nest and I see two chicks Boy they sure have gotten big. I also saw that the Heron has chicks but couldn't see if there are two or three. Wow! Chicks are busting out all over! ;)
Parent just flew into BWE nest. They are really getting their feathers in, but our chicks look almost as big as they do.I hope their parents are being good to them.
Megan John has the "Easy Button" at home. He can reset it as long as it isn't Wheeling problem again ( : Hello John ( :
Hi everyone I don't have the 30 sec refresh or the live feed. Jim none of those things you suggested work. Would you please go back to the drawing board. ty
MEGAN I think we should each have an EASY BUTTON. I don't know how you people stand it. It is like teasing. We were almost better off with just the still cam. At least that stayed on most of the time.
Parent back at BWE. Still doesn't look like feeding time for the chicks. Parent is looking at chicks, but they don't seem to be getting up.
I went back into my 1st book on my other computer. Looked for 30 sec refresh cam problems. It showed that some of us could get the 30 sec feed and some of us couldn't. We tried everything back then. Nothing worked!!!! In the end it came to the fact that Wheeling hadn't reset something...dang didn't write down what is was they reset to fix the problem in Wheeling. Sorry :(
Right, Dana, this happened last year, then suddenly it was resolved. Only lasted about 2 weeks last year for me. It isn't a problem with our computers.
Your right Megan Wheeling fixed the problem long before they have this time. Something about servers and different numbers. Some got reset others did not get reset. That is why some could get it and others could not. It had NOTHING to do with the amount of people viewing.

The eagle's nest you have at the Park-you sometimes wonder how the eagles fly in & out with all those branches.

Geula - can you see any raptors at your zoo?
Well, the last time I was at the zoo there were so many things to see that I passed up on the raptors, but I'll check it out!
Paula, or whoever knows, has there been any news about the condition of the WE chick being incubated lately.
Is there still a video link to the incubator, and, if so, do you know it?
C(°?°)3
Jim
Jim - haven't heard an update on the WE egg. Jann is having her tour today, maybe she will come back with some good news. I think they will turn on the incubator cam when hatching is near.
All's quiet at our nest, chicks are resting.
Out to load up the truck....BBL
MY LIVE FEED JUST WENT DOWN, and I can't get it started up again :(
And my live feed just went down...
I emailed Steve...
Later...
Thanks, Paula.

I'm a GENIOUS!
eagle at KENT CAM 2
Guela, You techie, you!!! I'm so impressed! :-)
Tried to open cam----"Invalid Link"
Shall we caravan to Wheeling? LOL
I guess my question is, what does Wheeling have to do with a cam in Sheperdstown...?
and another question would be, why do all my other sites that have real player work perfectly fine?????
awesome view in the hummers nest this time
If you knew how my mind works, you would understand this: The North American Association of Environmental Education is headquartered in Wheeling, WV, and guess who one of their affiliates it?

Pearl is awake & Tiny is looking at her. Middy might still be snoozing.
Did you all vote for BWEaglets' names
You can view all the names that have been suggested.
Mits, Late last week Steve wrote a comment about his and John's work on NCTC feed. He said lots of service was out, even in DC, due to internet problems in Wheeling.
Now they are all 3 down again.....
That was collateral damage, Jo, think the blogger cop was after me...tee-hee
That's interesting news what you just said Deb... I was not aware of that location and its importance.
The third egg is still in the nest at BC. If it isn't viable, how long would they keep it in the nest? Probably one of those questions without a good answer.
I searched Wheeling, WV, FWS and that is what google found for me.
one of the nest out West last year, had a non-viable egg for a long time...
well since I can't get on to any fws.gov sites at all probably am not going to see it....asked hubby to ask his IT guy at work, why I might not be able to get on to those sites, I have turned this computer inside and out to try to find out why???
Thx, Deb, for that inside information! I still don't really understand why things don't work----too much business on the lines? Or servers?
The Pugent Sound egg that didn't hatch but stayed in the nest forever... Eggbert was what we named the eaglet & we had some very funny captions on the pics with Eggbert & the unhatched egg!
Mits, did not realize you still couldn't access fws! I really don't understand it----we're only about 1/4 of the Beltway apart!
The NAAEE is where the program of
No Child Left Inside was created.
I feel that our cam issue is mostly IT problems..
Thanks for the egg question answer, Mits.
I know Nature, it just boggers my mind,,,,I think I'm on a list....roflmbo....
Windy up in the treetop Heron's nest
She is standing but will need to turn
in order for us to see the Heronetts
AND.........THERE THEY ARE!
Hope you all may have seen that -
Mom just squashed them all right under her.... That was cool to watch.
LIVE FEED IS UP!!!
osprey at BWO has been sitting in the middle of the nest for a long time today.
OR nest - that is the first I have seen the nest free of snow. Hopefully the eagles can inhabit it now & start their family.
THANKS DEB:)!

Hello NATURE, JO, MITS, DEB AND KAREN; the afternoon crew. Boy have I missed all the excitement of being on here and how our chicks have grown.
Karen, the nest was in Oklahoma and, unfortunately, both cameras are down, so we can't see what is happening.
Gosh, that was awful news about Steve's house being of fire. I do hope it wasn't too seroius and he can get it back in shape soon.
Hey JIM good to see you too! We finally have a sunny day here today with no wind. It sounded like So. Calif was a little hot too.
JIM, i have checked everything on this end that I can, everything is running smoothly, there are several others, Megan and Sharon that can't get on either.
Looks like Middie, and Pearl are starting to wake up. Feeding time? Or maybe they are just getting in new positions.
Deb, I knew it was one of those "O" states LOL! Will be interesting to find out about those eaglets and how they are faring, if they even hatched.
Nope, it ain't your computer, it most likely has to do with the security roadblocks put up on a government site. For some reason it only affects some of us.
I agree, Megan...
I went by the nest twice today on my way to walmart(ugh) and an adult was up above the nest perched each time. The same spot, just a little to the left above where they are laying now.
I have to look closely to see if live feed is working, those three eaglets are sure sleeping!
parent at BWE looks like it is eating something
Lol, Deb, I was just thinking that myself, and then tiny moved. It's so chilly here today and no sunshine, they are snuggling up to keep warm I guess.
me too, Deb
one of the BWE eaglets was just looking up and yelling
Finally got a couple new pic posts on Blog. Called "Other Full Crops & Spring Babies '07".
Gotta do dinner now. Will eventually dwnload camera w/new eagle pics.
BBL
Whioa- fight in the nest-rock em sock em ....
Both adults just flew in!
Heading out w/ load #2
Live feed is up!!
parents just arrived, Belle is mantling!!
She's got something, can't see it yet-oops it's a fish!
And Tiny is first to be fed. there goes Lib out the back of the nest.
Liberty gone...
Belle at back preparing dinner! Wish it was so easy to do that! Yea, well, if I ate sushi every meal it would be!
Later!!
Feeding time in our nest. Tiny is in the front getting first pick. :)
Bob is at BWO yesterday and today....osprey intruder is gone...
really later, bye
Look out behind you Tiny, I think Pearl is going to try to get in on the action.
Oh here comes the third chick. Now we have the whole family for dinner.
PAULA I hope someone is helping you with all this work you are doing:)
My live feed just froze. Did anyone else go down too?
I lost mine, too!!
Now the regular feed is a black box. Oh well.
Regular feed is back on and chicks still being fed.
SC/PH has both parents in nest and I see two chicks Boy they sure have gotten big. I also saw that the Heron has chicks but couldn't see if there are two or three. Wow! Chicks are busting out all over! ;)
Oh for crying out loud......
Our chicks have been fed and are out "like a light" Parent is still with them.
I am surprised how much the sc/ph chicks are getting around.
There is an osprey in Finland nest now. Uipee!
I couldn't see anything new at WE when I looked. Have the eagles continued to bring sticks to make a nest?
Candy are you watching the live feed?
Parent just flew into BWE nest. They are really getting their feathers in, but our chicks look almost as big as they do.I hope their parents are being good to them.
MEGAN I can't get our live feed up. I keep repeatedly trying, but no luck so far.
Ok, you are watching the elusive 30sec cam then. The live feed needs another reset. Who has the EASY button?
Love the way mom (K26) at PH is sitting with one wing open to help shade the little ones! LOL! Tenting but for shade instead of rain. :-)
I guess Parent came into BWE empty taloned and just flew off again.
Parent Heron is off their chicks. There are three of them! And now back down. They don't have a chance to get any fresh air.
Yep, Dana, John does have the easy button, but he may also have a life and not be able to constantly reset the feed:(
I went back into my 1st book on my other computer.
It was funny just alittle cause Sharon kept saying back then. "Run it through her she is in West Virginia as Wheeling is".
I did read up that storks can lay 4 to 5 eggs. So I guess the site I'm watching is not unusual. Can't wait to see them all hatch hee hee.
Yep, and Steve has told us they are having server problems in Wheeling...
Megan I loved the plant "salvia" I think that is spelling. That I got last year and it did bring in the hummers. Why does it stink?
I love them and I'm getting 3 or 4 from you this year.
Let me get it right..I didn't remember that Co I see hatched I see 2 chicks awww so cute ( : awww
There are three chicks in CO, Dana, one must have been hiding. They move all over that nest already. :)

Check out K26! Such a good momma to tent for shade the way she is! It was in the 90s here in So. Cali today!
Wow Karen that is hot!
Mits I see an eagle on a limb in Or.
If you look at the top of the tree in OR, you will see the other eagle's tail.
If you have the heron cam open, all 4 heads are bobbing around.
