Morning, world. See we're camless, and have been since Friday. Bummer. Had ice at my house too. Beautiful, but I didn't even venture out to get my mail. Nice weekend, though, and not too bad today. 40° at home, 44° here at work. Unreal for this time of year. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Will have to go see what I missed. We have lines on our BWE cam, but looks like mom sound asleep on her 2 eggs. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh my goodness!! We have Squiggles and Bai on cam, and it's light! Wow. Looked like she was nursing when I brought the cam up, but now it looks like she's playing with bamboo. 1:20 in the morning, little toot needs to go to sleep. So nice to see her at this hour again!!! LOL, off she goes. She's on a table looks like, and doesn't really want to get down. Ok, so I'm wrong, there she goes, backwards. Bai is watching her. No, she changed her mind, she's just gonna sit on the edge of the table. Looks like she is chewing some bamboo.
Well, she got down! She fell, poor thing. She tried to go down again, but guess slipped and fell. Here comes mom.. wish they had sound. ZZ is stil laying there on her back, kinda flinging her arms. Bai checked her a bit and walked off, so she must be alright. Oh, she just rolled over on her tummy and she's off again. Walking somewhere, little cutie. Well, it was nice to see her, but she may go off cam. Oh no, she's climbing back up on the table! Too slippery though, she's can't get a grip. Those little hind legs just aren't quite long enough yet. Ok, back down. Here comes mom again. Mom is gonna sit down and eat some bamboo, ZZ is gonna squirm around..
The burrowing owl entrance looks like it caved in, it's huge now! Hope those owls are alright. One in the nestbox. Bai has moved, and so has ZZ. Bai still eating bamboo, ZZ walking around. She was sitting next to mom. Now she's climbing up on something, looks like a drinking fountain, oops, fell off that. Bai saw her, but more interested in bamboo. ZZ is exploring.
Looks like an eagle is in the nest in Norfolk. Read Lisa's update on the eagle page that the owl that's been hanging out in the nest attacked the female eagle while she was laying her first egg. Sure glad to see she must have won, cause she's in the nest on it. Sure hope that blasted owl either stays gone, or the eagles decide to take the law into their owl talons, and get rid of the owl for good!
Our lady of the owl hotel is off her egg! Sure wish they would have cleaned that nest box out one more time before she started laying! She's grooming now, she turned it and now she's just standing by it. Ok, she can see me too...she's getting back on it, she is back on it. Now backup again. Maybe she's gonna lay another one. Lady BW still sound asleep on her two eggs. I'm glad she has 2 and no more! When they get big, they're gonna take up the entire nest.

Yes, they went off cam quite a while ago. There is a door back in the left corner, see where the corner of the floor is? Evidentally there is an exit there of some kind, cause that's where they went. Hope you can go back to sleep with no problems!
We didn't do a lot of cam watching last evening because of the Super Bowl, so there aren't many comments on here.
Were you happy about the outcome of the Bowl? Myself I like both teams' style, but neither is "my team." For some reason I found myself favoring the Giants yesterday...maybe the "underdog" thing. But I would have been happy either way ... it was a good, close game. I hate a runaway Super Bowl.
Both owls are in the hotel, still only 1 egg, but I think they're switching egg sitting duties. One is going near the entrance, but hasn't left yet. I've also lost Norfolk, it was up this morning, now it's totally black. Bummer.
Did't watch, Jim, but was kind of hoping the Patriots would win. Would have given them a totally undefeated season. Glad it was a good game, though. Heard them talking here at work, guess it was close. I'm just as happy the Giants won, don't really follow football at all.
Egg turning at BW. The owl that came in and relieved the first one can't seem to get comfy. So now he's in the entrance hole ready to depart. Never mind, he just left. Egg is unattended.
Eagle in BW is awake, and there was an eagle on the osprey platform, but he's gone now. Maybe coming to relieve one on eggs. Think that is Lord BW, but wouldn't swear to it. He lays cross ways from Lady BW, she lays on the side of the nest. Guess I'll find out when other one comes in. Owl back on egg in hotel, and Norfolk still black.
There was a lot of excitement over the Owl and the Eagle. There is a video on their site; very interesting. Some say they think "Nora" dropped her egg as she was fighting with the owl, but I think the egg was already there and it was disturbed during the tussle. Hope it didn't get harmed.
Sitting eagle just left the BWE nest, and there are both our pretty eggs...in the new nicely made egg cup, I see. There is an eagle on the osprey platform eating something. And poof, gone this refresh. It looked like leftover wing, but don't think the eagle liked it, so he left.
