Info about the NBG nest that Zoomer4 posted on the Maine forum
When you see vehicles or people walk by, be aware that they are nowhere near the nest. Last year the cam was higher and on a tree closer to the canal than the nest tree. The background you saw was a wooded area that was closed off. This year, becasue the cam is so flat to the nest (compared to last year) and the cam tree is further into the wooded area, the background behind the nest is on the other side of the canal from the tree in a more open area of the garden. The road and garden area is between 400 and 500 feet away from the tree, if not farther. It is an area that is open to the public - in fact our trams travel that road daily - you will see them more in the spring once our season picks up.
The law requires NBG to close the area around the nest to the public. We have worked with VDGIF to establish those boundaries and work very hard to maintain them.
This pair seems very comfortable with human acitivity around, however. Before they moved to the Garden, their nest was at the end of the neighboring airport's runway.
3am and all is well at our nest. Parent just got up and one egg is very visible and two may be in background. Parent was off for a moment looking and then sat back down.
I can't even tell if it is Liberty or Belle on the nest. I see where Paula said Lib was settling down on the nest before she went off and Lib can't lay an egg!!!:) Better eyes will prevail tomorrow when you all arise to a new day.
WANDA I bet you are still tucked warmly in your bed right now. I wish you were here to observe.
BW parent on eggs. Pa cam MT as of now. No ZZ cam at SD Pete's Pond is quiet and MT. Looks like a beautiful sunrise is coming. That is about it for now. I am going to try to get back to sleep and hope WANDA or SHARON or someone gets on to see if we have our third egg or not. Here's hoping.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... I just read comments made about 3 o'clock this morning from Candy and Dion and they seemed to think there may be a third egg. Candy took pics, but she is still uncertain. Sooooo we will keep watching and cross our fingers.
GOOD MORNING SHARON..I have been watching off and on, trying to catch up on my emails, and haven't seen anything. I hope she gives us a third egg this morning while most of us have time to watch. YOU GO BELLE!!
Good Wet Saturday morning! No snow in the valley - must have just had rain. I have not seen during the past season so much fluff brought into the nest. That could be because the ground is not snow covered I guess!
Our Early Early bird is still sleeping isn't she? lol
Good morning Jim, Wanda, Vicky & Paula! I was trying to estimate the hatching since we do know when that 2nd egg was laid. I wanted us all to get together - so Vicky we'll see you soon!
You're forgiven, Wanda! We knew you would see us sooner or later.
Checked on my Ms Owl at the hotel. I am thinking that egg 4 will come today. Last night both Mr & Mrs were at the hotel. I'm not certain if like the eagles they share incubating duties - or if he just brings her food.
Sorry, not keeping up with the conversations on here this morning. Have been chatting with Karla for a good while on email. She has the same problem as Megan with her puter. She says it is too frustrating to even try to blog and bring up the different cams.
She hasn't been feeling well, along with grandson, Dustin and her husband was off from work a week with the same Dirty Little Virus!

Hi There Nilla!
You have any idea why you're feeling under the weather? lol
Turning the eggs
Is that a back to sleep poise?
Sure is!
It has been a relaxing day at the nest for our eagles and they sure deserve one!!! And, so do we! Last few days have seemed kind of hectic!
Nilla, if you have been sick that long I hope you have been to the Doctor...you have to take care of yourself lady!
Thanks for all the updates on Helen and other nests, etc. I feel almost caught up!!!

And it is time to Roll those Eggs
The egg cup is much deeper it seems then in past seasons. They don't have to waddle over the eggs too much to get settled in! lol

I'll send it by email and you can all take a look. Maybe I am just seeing things. You know me.
Oh forget it. I feel like an idiot. If someone gets up and sees 3 eggs, then I'll send my pic through. I don't want to look stupid to the whole group.
I can't even tell if it is Liberty or Belle on the nest. I see where Paula said Lib was settling down on the nest before she went off and Lib can't lay an egg!!!:) Better eyes will prevail tomorrow when you all arise to a new day.
How can I tell the difference whether it is Belle or Lib?
GOOD MORNING DION. If the two are together, Belle is the larger of the two eagles.
Darn, parent moved positions on eggs and I missed it. Maybe next time. I was busy trying to read earlier blogs. :(
WANDA I bet you are still tucked warmly in your bed right now. I wish you were here to observe.
BW parent on eggs.
Pa cam MT as of now.
No ZZ cam at SD
Pete's Pond is quiet and MT. Looks like a beautiful sunrise is coming.
That is about it for now. I am going to try to get back to sleep and hope WANDA or SHARON or someone gets on to see if we have our third egg or not. Here's hoping.
Thank you, Carolina
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...

It is 33° with light snow, going up to 50's. You can see a very light coating of snow on the nest. Not enough to hurt anything.
Good morning everyone.
I saw the changing of the guards at 6-something and only saw 2 eggs then.
GOOD MORNING SHARON..I have been watching off and on, trying to catch up on my emails, and haven't seen anything. I hope she gives us a third egg this morning while most of us have time to watch. YOU GO BELLE!!
Good morning from Illinois! I'm right with everyone intently watching our nest! I feel a Spring trip to WV coming on!
Good morning from Illinois! I'm right with everyone intently watching our nest! I feel a Spring trip to WV coming on!
Morning, all!
Glad to see our nest is snow free! There is about 1/2 in here!
GOOD MORNING VICKY...
A spring trip to the nest sounds WONDERFUL!! Don't make it in March, I won't be here. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.
GOOD MORNING PAULA...we have only a light dusting of snow and it is begining to melt now.
Lib in the nest
Looks like he brought more fluff
Looks like Belle has come to take her turn at egg sitting.
Switch going on
A VERY GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL, HAPPY BIRDERS.

Jim
I see a fresh pine sprig in the nest now and looks like either a leaf or a small snack to the left of the nest.
I heard the live feed is up in Colorado. click on view live video under the picture. Not sure if it's on yet.
Ft St Vrain Eagles
Wanda - I thought that was food yesterday. Now I'm not sure...could be some sort of leaf grassy thing
I see the pine, right in front of Lib
Good Wet Saturday morning! No snow in the valley - must have just had rain. I have not seen during the past season so much fluff brought into the nest. That could be because the ground is not snow covered I guess!

Morning Jim. You are an early eagle today :)
Good morning Jim, Wanda, Vicky & Paula! I was trying to estimate the hatching since we do know when that 2nd egg was laid. I wanted us all to get together - so Vicky we'll see you soon!

GOOD MORNING JIM....
Don't we miss SUZ on the weekend? She is like a good cup of coffee...gets us started!
Note on Ft St Vrain Cam
I had to click on the black square for it to start....video is running!
Paula What do you think that thing is laying in the middle of the Ft.St.Vrain nest?
Dana It looks like a black feather of a previous meal.
WOW! So sorry, Jo, and Dana.I did not see you sitting there. Good Morning to you.
Lisa has a picture of our 2 eggs on the BWO page.
Wanda - in our nest...I was talking about the darkish looking thing towards this end of the nest, on the edge of the sticks and the grass
I think the light looking thing in CO looks like milk pod, the darkish thing a feather...did you just see the little bird strolling across the nest?
Morning, Jo and Dana! And Wanda!
Thanks for the update on Mits - glad to hear she is coming home today!
Dana - maybe not a milk pod, but some sort of seed pod
Wonder if Megan has her internet yet?
Looks like a pretty day at VA today
Norma won't be happy with the commerical on the live feed at Co.
PH/SC cam is down for maintenance this weekend...
