I did get email from Carol today & I think it is ok to share with you: I was glad too that I joined the group and got to meet Glo and Anne and her grand daughter. It was good to see all the other Momsters too, including you. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see more eagles & see them closer. But, that’s the way it goes sometimes. I once went all the way to Massachusetts with one of my sisters to go out on a whale watching boat. We were on the boat for most of a day and never saw a single whale. She went on the same boat the next year with a friend and they saw about a dozen whales! Carol
New episode of Roloffs is on tv i think they are leaving for atrip in a big RV .. DAD is driving and they are saying dad slow down.. haha he said what ya mean slow down i am just getting warmed up..love this show

LOL Dad has the family at Death Valley...They are going to sand dunes.. I have been to White Sands New Mexico sand dunes they are hot but dig down a couple inches and just so cool underneath...

The train ride was nice but like Jo mentioned one way was enough, I was ready for a nap on the way back but alas had to drive back to Martinsburg.
We got to see a juvie and 2 or 3 eagles flying around the mountain tops, hills to those that live in the west :).

My kitties aren't doing to well and I am bringing 2 to the vet they have been sneezing the last 4 days one started the other night and Yoda seems to be coughing as of today, we are thinking URI vet will know for sure tomorrow morning. If it isn't one thing it is another *sigh*
I am off to bed so the cats will follow and I can keep a better eye on them tonight, I worry so much about them especially now.
Boy, the wildfires have blown through so many areas today! My area is not threatened at the moment, but my sister in No San Diego County has her family together and the stuff they have to take if they get the "reverse 911" order to evacuate.
The Santa Ana winds and low humidity are predicted for another 24 hrs., at least. As long as those high, high winds are blowing the flames, it is essentially beyond man's control.
Hundreds of homes and commercial buildings have been lost already...........
Here i am all lone by myself... well Robyn please have your cats checked as a very good friend of mine who loves cats dearly (they have 15 inside n outside cats) found poor golden girl dead and had to have her precious black cat BTL nicknamed put to sleep also... some kind of cat thing going around..will find out exactly what and let you know... Daughter called and asked if Sugahhs shots were up to date and yes they are.. This viris can be carried in on your shoes also into your home... Poor Demis (mans name) loved those cats he just built them a nice house for the winter... After i closed i went with another employee over to Charles Town and not to races to eat at Mountainview Rest. and then on to Wal Mart.... I bought a beautiful eagle on a cherry base looks like bronze actually and only 15 dollars.... Check it out back near jewelery department area... Nighty nite sweet eagle dreams to all...
Pete's Pond: I looked in before shutting down and saw Wildebeests for the first time. And a couple of Mongooses had appeared out of the trees and were searching the elephant dung for Dung Beetles.. looked like they found some.
Now, a small band of Baboons have arrived to drink and rest in the shade of the trees near the Pond.
There's been a pair of beautifully colored geese at the Pond for more than a week. They're afraid to go in the water because of the Crocodile (I don't blame them), but recently they've at least been getting their feet wet while drinking. Might have taken a bath yesterday, looked cleaner. Well, they're back this morning, checking the area for the beast and getting their toes wet...
I went outside to water my plants, check my car, and get the mail. It's still 80° with 6% humidity, but it doesn't feel too bad outside. There's a lot of dust and smoke in the air, and there are mounds of blown leaves everywhere, and there was one good sized Eucalyptus branch, which had been torn off by the wind, lying near the bank of mailboxes. The California Car Cover (if you need one, I recommend this kind) had come loose at the front, had been stopped by the pockets over the mirrors; so I decided to just reinstall it for now...no damage except the dirt that had settled on the whole assemblage.
Think I'll shut this down, check my AOL e-mail and hit the rack.
Good morning, world. Beautiful night out, Both 69° in PA and VA, unreal for this time of year. But enjoy it while ya can, guess we're supposed to get rain and it's supposed to get cooler. Darn. (On the cooler, we need the rain!) Had some sprinkles coming down, but not much. Nice pic on our cam, sure hope the kids show up this morning. Will go back and see if they made an appearance last night. Dolly is really getting big! Getting her pin feathers and looking all cute! She is awake, she's by the ledge, and she's sitting up looking around. Bai is sleeping, but moving, don't see Squiggles. Bai is sorta in a ball on her knees, so guess Squiggles is under her. Dolly is looking all around. Our nest and BW MT at this hour. Not sure what is on the Africam, it's showing a commercial for Trinidad and Tobogo...ok, here's the pond. Something on the other side, but can't see what it is. Ok, will try to read yesterday's blog. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh, mom brought food to the ledge, and Dolly is WALKING over to her! Well, that was quick, she's there, so wonder if I'm gonna see her get fed? Unusual at this hour! Yup, Dolly jumped right under mom's beak! It's 18:19 there, 0419 here. They should be winding down for the night. Awww, Dolly is getting a lot of dark feathers! Uh oh, Mom is now on the ledge, and Dolly's looking at her, so maybe whatever it was is gone already, or it was not food.
LOL, Mom's still on ledge, but Dolly's checking that spot out on the rocks! Just in case there is a tidbit she missed earlier. Oh, now Dolly is over by the ledge by mom's tail.
Dang, just this second Brisbane went B&W, but it's in focus, so that's alright. Dolly just fell asleep by the ledge, don't see mom's tail feathers, but it sure is nice to see Dolly out of her corner! Bai is nursing Squiggles, and who knew...NZ cam is on! Looking at a stone grotto or something, but it's nice to see. Pandas have more sense than I do, they're probably sound asleep! Dolly is up and down, but still by the ledge. Not sure wht she's doing, but not quite sleeping yet.
OMG, Dolly is doing wing flaps! Now she's back down again. Well that was cool! Little toot is supposed to be going to sleep! Oh no, now she's walking around! How cute is that!

NIlla they are strictly indoor cats but I understand about the bringing things in on shoes.
I lost 3 cats to leukemia 4 years ago within 3 mth from the cat my brother brought back from California when he moved back east. Reason why I didn't want anymore cats it hurt too much had one for 17 yrs, 10 yr and 5 yr.
It may be hairballs Suz, I bathed them then brought them to goomer to be rebathed. My guests dogs had bad case of fleas and infested my basement with her dogs, had extermintor come in but the cats dry themselves by licking so maybe having difficult time bringing up hairball gave them the hairball lax but vet may be able to help them better or they just have a URI, hoping for hairball.
OH geesh, fleas are hard to get rid of! I hate the things. I brought in my neighbor's cat a few years ago, it was storming outside and she wasn't home. Put him in a back room my cats never use, and that room was covered in fleas next day! Thought I'd never get rid of them. Had to get something from the vet too, couldn't use a flea bomb, cause my cats were still in the house. I have a stray I feed and pet all the time, and guess I've been lucky...no fleas or ticks on him! But I do wash my hands after petting him before I pet my cats. Ya never know. Keep us posted! What is URI?
Panda on cam 1 is eating bamboo, panda on cam 2 wants to go out that door! Too funny. He was sitting watching the door, now he's laying down in front of it trying to look under it. Had his paw under the door! Ah, they just switched views.

OK Here we are still in East Columbus. Very wet after our 3 trips to the car with all our Important items ya know we just had to have for one night LOL. It is rush hour traffic in the pouring rain and we are pretty much under 10mph stop and go at this time. It is only a little after 6:30 am where we live however...so I guess the time we gain is getting spent here and yet we will still hopefully be getting in a decent times for both of us. Had a Great breakfast and are good to go for a while now.
Oh my, Tai looks like Bai. He's flat on his back and has hind feet in the air. Head is still on the grate. Guess Pandas like to sleep on their back with their legs in the air. Too funny!

when he is down by the grate, there is a ledge that I can sit on, and grab people as they go by, otherwise they would, miss him....Mei was in the position last week and people were missing her.
Suz,I called the vet, Yoda has a virus, like a cold that we get, no need to bring Izzy in as they will give me enough meds for all 3 cats. Poor babies, need to keep them warmer and keep them out of the windows for a week or two.
I'm glad it's only a cold! I know they don't feel good, but considering what else it could have been, you can deal with a cold. Good luck giving them their meds! Hope you can crush them up and put them in their food, and they'll never know the difference. Pharaoh had asthma, and had to give him Prednose twice a week, and he didn't eat canned cat food! So it was pill in the mouth! That was always a trip!

GLO--Columbus is our over-night stop when we go to Chicago.Kinda the half-way point. We have found a wonderful Chinese restaurant there (can't remember the name). We eat there on the way out and on our way back. Crab legs, frog legs, sushi, bacon wrapped shrimp, Dim Sum dumplings, etc. etc. I have just gained 3 pounds thinking about it.

Good morning, world. Beautiful night out, Both 69° in PA and VA, unreal for this time of year. But enjoy it while ya can, guess we're supposed to get rain and it's supposed to get cooler. Darn. (On the cooler, we need the rain!) Had some sprinkles coming down, but not much.
Nice pic on our cam, sure hope the kids show up this morning. Will go back and see if they made an appearance last night.
Dolly is really getting big! Getting her pin feathers and looking all cute! She is awake, she's by the ledge, and she's sitting up looking around.
Bai is sleeping, but moving, don't see Squiggles. Bai is sorta in a ball on her knees, so guess Squiggles is under her.
Dolly is looking all around. Our nest and BW MT at this hour.
Not sure what is on the Africam, it's showing a commercial for Trinidad and Tobogo...ok, here's the pond. Something on the other side, but can't see what it is.

Oh, mom brought food to the ledge, and Dolly is WALKING over to her! Well, that was quick, she's there, so wonder if I'm gonna see her get fed? Unusual at this hour! Yup, Dolly jumped right under mom's beak! It's 18:19 there, 0419 here. They should be winding down for the night. Awww, Dolly is getting a lot of dark feathers! Uh oh, Mom is now on the ledge, and Dolly's looking at her, so maybe whatever it was is gone already, or it was not food.
LOL, Mom's still on ledge, but Dolly's checking that spot out on the rocks! Just in case there is a tidbit she missed earlier. Oh, now Dolly is over by the ledge by mom's tail.
Dang, just this second Brisbane went B&W, but it's in focus, so that's alright. Dolly just fell asleep by the ledge, don't see mom's tail feathers, but it sure is nice to see Dolly out of her corner! Bai is nursing Squiggles, and who knew...NZ cam is on! Looking at a stone grotto or something, but it's nice to see. Pandas have more sense than I do, they're probably sound asleep!
Dolly is up and down, but still by the ledge. Not sure wht she's doing, but not quite sleeping yet.
OMG, Dolly is doing wing flaps! Now she's back down again. Well that was cool! Little toot is supposed to be going to sleep! Oh no, now she's walking around! How cute is that!

Have both DC cams open, someone on cam2 just laid down to go to sleep on the rocks. Bai just rolled over onto her back, she's asleep.

Whatever it was, it walked away on 2 legs, so some kind of waterfoul, but no clue what. Kinda looked like those crows in Finland. Big bird, black and white.

Just tried Pete's Pond from your link, can't get it. Don't have RealPlayer installed, but whatever they did install, I can see the panda cams. That's priceless to me, I'm totally enjoying them! Wonder if Lib is going to sleep standing there?

NIlla they are strictly indoor cats but I understand about the bringing things in on shoes.
I lost 3 cats to leukemia 4 years ago within 3 mth from the cat my brother brought back from California when he moved back east. Reason why I didn't want anymore cats it hurt too much had one for 17 yrs, 10 yr and 5 yr.

It may be hairballs Suz, I bathed them then brought them to goomer to be rebathed. My guests dogs had bad case of fleas and infested my basement with her dogs, had extermintor come in but the cats dry themselves by licking so maybe having difficult time bringing up hairball gave them the hairball lax but vet may be able to help them better or they just have a URI, hoping for hairball.
OH geesh, fleas are hard to get rid of! I hate the things. I brought in my neighbor's cat a few years ago, it was storming outside and she wasn't home. Put him in a back room my cats never use, and that room was covered in fleas next day! Thought I'd never get rid of them. Had to get something from the vet too, couldn't use a flea bomb, cause my cats were still in the house. I have a stray I feed and pet all the time, and guess I've been lucky...no fleas or ticks on him! But I do wash my hands after petting him before I pet my cats. Ya never know.

Panda on cam 1 is eating bamboo, panda on cam 2 wants to go out that door! Too funny. He was sitting watching the door, now he's laying down in front of it trying to look under it. Had his paw under the door! Ah, they just switched views.

OK Here we are still in East Columbus. Very wet after our 3 trips to the car with all our Important items ya know we just had to have for one night LOL. It is rush hour traffic in the pouring rain and we are pretty much under 10mph stop and go at this time. It is only a little after 6:30 am where we live however...so I guess the time we gain is getting spent here and yet we will still hopefully be getting in a decent times for both of us. Had a Great breakfast and are good to go for a while now.
Oh my, Tai looks like Bai. He's flat on his back and has hind feet in the air. Head is still on the grate. Guess Pandas like to sleep on their back with their legs in the air. Too funny!

That just sounds like too much fun, Glo! Hate rush hour traffic! I hear it's raining like mad in PA, and we're supposed to get 1-2" of rain today. Not raining here yet, but it's dark.
We now have Tai with his hind legs still in the air, and his front paws are up over his head...which is still on the grate. He is too funny!

Suz,I called the vet, Yoda has a virus, like a cold that we get, no need to bring Izzy in as they will give me enough meds for all 3 cats. Poor babies, need to keep them warmer and keep them out of the windows for a week or two.
I'm glad it's only a cold! I know they don't feel good, but considering what else it could have been, you can deal with a cold. Good luck giving them their meds! Hope you can crush them up and put them in their food, and they'll never know the difference. Pharaoh had asthma, and had to give him Prednose twice a week, and he didn't eat canned cat food! So it was pill in the mouth! That was always a trip!

GLO--Columbus is our over-night stop when we go to Chicago.Kinda the half-way point. We have found a wonderful Chinese restaurant there (can't remember the name). We eat there on the way out and on our way back. Crab legs, frog legs, sushi, bacon wrapped shrimp, Dim Sum dumplings, etc. etc. I have just gained 3 pounds thinking about it.
