Good Morning all. Thanks for the new thread Steve Is it St Paricks day? No it must be because someone is doing something to help us see the eagles on the cam.
Good Monday morning, Jo. You got up early to see a green screen, ugh! Beautiful day out, though. And Frieda hasn't moved her babies all morning, so you can get a really good look at them.
Suzanne, you're right - beautiful morning to be up at Peggy's Cove! Checked all the cams - going to emails. Have lunch get together around 11:30.. Stay calm Mits! Prayers are with you & yours
HO Ho! I caught her coming home! Ms. Owl wasn't there about 5 minutes ago - but now she is in her motel room! Loraine at Kent says she has seen and heard Star & Spirit recently. Their cam 3 is down but the other 2 are ok.
Still here, Suzanne, son calle, they started her on pytocin around 7:30 a.m. They said they would break her water around noon, and he would call us around lunch time, getting ready anyhow, just in case we go up earlier....love the GSM cam.
GOOD MORNIN' EAGLE BUDDIES---THANKS GLO for being #1 today!!--and THANKS STEVEN ----YOU ARE ALWAYS #1 EVERY A.M.---Another BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN day in WV---temp. cool 49°----HELEN---I bet this new little "one" wanted to be born in OCTOBER!!---All GREAT PEOPLE are born in OCTOBER!!! ho!---HELLO GLO--SUZANNE---MEMA JO & MITS!!! BEAUTIFUL ANNIE---Prayers are with you!!!!!!!
Bai moved Squiggles up to snuggle her, then settle down to go back to sleep, but Squiggles started kicking her little hind legs, so Bai picked her up and we're now nursing. Guess Bai wanted 40 more winks, and Squiggles tummy said "later."
Suzanne - I am about to make a decision to have Tigress (22 yrs old) shaved like you did for Gypsy. I can't keep the mats out even with regular brushing. Do I inquire at a Pet Grooming place or at the Vets?
SUZANNE----This weekend, I saw SQUIGGLES moving & scooting all over when left by BAI----Won't be long now that little "one" will be a "hand full"----I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Jo, I asked my vet if he could recommend someone, and he gave me the name and number of the person I called...she had left a flyer in the vet's office. Before he gave me the flyer, I asked him about a place I passed, and he kinda hem hawed around, ended up telling me how they were with dogs..Like I care, I have a cat here. Anyway, I called the groomer whose flyer I had, and was very pleased! She also let me help hold and calm Gypsy while she was getting shaved. But ask the vet for any recommendations first. Do you want to come to Waynesboro? Not that far from Greencastle, but with a cat in the car, it may be on the other side of the moon! I know my cats hate the car. I can give you the name and number of the lady where I took Gypsy.
Jo, think we're supposed to get audio this year, but didn't Steven say a while back they were waiting for something (equipment) to arrive before they could install the audio? Don't remember for sure.
LOL, Norma, guess if it feels good, you want to share! You find a good hairdresser, tell your friends! I know Gypsy still feels good, and not so many hairballs (thank the good Lord), and no mats!
This is hilarious! Bai is still covering Squiggles, who is now totally hidden! Oh, no, she got her out from under all that bamboo. Looks like she has Squiggles and the bamboo in her paws...teaching squigs what it is???
LOL Mits...just go to the hospital then, maybe you aren't supposed to get into SD...OK just kidding. Prayers for all, especially MaMa and baby to be right now though.
My Explorer "encountered a problem" again and shut down...once a morning if I have video (like SD Pandas) on????
Dana, I tried the Cape Coral thing and it worked.... "Demo" is the I.D. (not password), then just hit "enter" (no password, same as the NY Kestrel cam was). You will have to install the site's Active X (follow prompts), which takes seconds...
Beautiful cam, but it looks like the nest is in two trees...a pine and a cottonwood or sycamore!??
Sorry Dana if my directions weren't exactly right for access this year. I have mine saved to remember me on this computer so I actually enter nothing, was just picking the brainwebs to pull out how I got in there last year. :)
Glad Jim found his way, and hope he was able to help you too Dana. It is a nice cam. The pair seems to be there very often now, so good chance of an eagle fix.
OK Norma and Jim so glad you found and are enjoying the Cape Coral cam BUT what did you do to it while I was gone LOL...goodness and I can tell there are 2 gorgeous eagles there. Think maybe they zoomed in but forgot to focus it ;(
NewsFlash-Pop singer Britney Spears has lost her custody battle for her two children. Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, will take custody of two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.
We need to hear from Megan & Jill in order to say we have had a full house!!
I think I remember Jill looking for somewhere to visit this past weekend.. Like Wash Monument on Rt 40A..... Hope both of them have a chance to pop in and say hello!
Mr Patience still hanging on the BW platform. Wish the female would come by for a visit Most pandas napping - speaking of which I did NOT have one today! Eyasses are napping under the guard of Frieda.
Candy - Sharon or I are expecting an email or phone call and Yes! all of you will be the first to know... SOOOOOOOON I HOPE. Prayers for Annie & Kevin and all. Bless little Maggie who best be entertaining everyone while the wait goes on and on and on....
Perhaps we are still waiting on fuel cells for the still cam , audio for the live cam. Hasn't been any further info on either that I can remember. We have often although not continuously had a nice clear picture. Hope if and when they show up today we will be able to see them clealry.
Hi BOBBI AND GLO. There is an eagle in our nest. Look now that the pic has cleared up. Oops now gone. Oh well, what else is new. Maybe they'll be back.
Patience is still sitting on the osprey nest in BW; Still all by herself. She has been there for quite awhile.
Brisbane chicks are all alone again while parent must be getting them something to eat or getting something for herself to eat. I am trying hard to find two chicks.
BOBBI How is the weather down there in Florida? Hurricane season is passing quickly and I think we have all dodged a bullet this year. I hope it stays that way.
Eagle took flight in Cape Coral and Frieda just came back to ber chicks on the ledte. Don't have any idea when they will start to change color BOBBI. Someone will get on here sooner or later and let you know. Candy
Wanda, the weather has been great. We have a low sitting off the bahama's and it is causing some nice winds here about 25 miles an hour for the past two days, love it. Few more weeks and the nice weather starts. Can't wait. Looks like hurricane season will pass nice and quiet.
Whoooo Hoooo! Mits is a new grandmother of another girl. What a beautiful name. Congratulations Mits and family on your newest member. You all must be walking on Cloud 9! Maggie has a new little sister to keep her busy; Molly Christina Kalis.
Thanks for letting us know SHARON! I think we have all been on pins and needles waiting for the good news.
I'm sorry about the name, candy. Still trying to get all the names connected.Gets confusing.Think I have to write them down on my desk so I get them straight.
BOBBI Don't give it another thought. I don't usually get on here much during the week, as I am a Kindergarten assistant here in Kill Devil Hills. They tire me out so, that I come home nights and nap; kind of like Jo's Panda naps. :)
I do try to keep reading the news on the blog and you live in a very nice part of Florida, with all your different birds.
I got on here tonight to see how our cam was looking and to do a little bird watching and gabbing myself; plus wanting to know about Mit's new grandchild.
I sometimes get on early in the am and talk to SUZANNE if I have time and she sends me all the pics of the eagles, squiggles, and others that I miss during the day. It is so nice to have you join the group.
candy, I get such a kick out of suzanne's blog when she is describing squiggles and bai. She is really funny when she starts to narrate what they are doing. Same here, I am not on much because we are out most of time but early in morning come on and like to as robyn would say lurk out here. How great it must be to have a hand with the kinderegartners. They are really adorable and so unaffected in their actions.
BOBBI This is my 24th year as an assistant in Kindergarten, and I have seen a BIG change in the children. I love being with them tho. I think it keeps me young as long as I have extra strength Tylenol when I get home. :) The children look at me strangely when I tell them how long I have been in Kindergarten and can't seem to get to first grade. :) The think about if for a minute and then start to smile. I just love my job, and when a former student comes up to me years after I have had him to say "HI" , it gives me a great feeling. I know that I have made a difference on someones life.
HELLO EVERYONE, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY, THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS Thanks for the report, Sharon, the only thing its Kristina with a K, don't ask me why. Anyhow things look good and Maggie was a joy to be with today. Going to get something to eat, so I will say goodnight, it has been a long day, but, I'm soooo proud of my son and daughter-in-law, they really know how to do this baby thing. BTW, I won the pool in the family, YEA!!!!!
Yes, it has been a very good day. Lots of emotions and excitement. I love babies. Your next Paula. Then guess who - Mema Jo in April 2008. At least everyone gets some time off in between these little ones. So it is 1 girl and you know yours will be a boy. Guess we won't know ahead of time what the tie breaker will be. Granddaughter & S-I-L are like Kevin & Annie and will just wait & see.
Hi Jim I guess you know what time it is over here on the east coast... I'm not far from going to bed. What are you having for dinner? Mits got a new granddaughter today.(in case you didn't read all the blog) Three pictures were all that were taken during the visit this evening. Cam did not cooperate.
Good morning, world! Nice night out, 61° at my house, 62° here, but a tad cloudy. Moon peeks out occassionally. See where Mits hasn't said anything about her new grandbaby, so I'm waiting..............
Bai was feeeding Squiggles, now they're just snuggling, adorable. Our cam is down, psycho lines again. Beautiful pic in BW, and down under Frieda is standing over her babies, but has her back to the cam today. Bai is washing Squiggles, who is squirming, oh too cute. Bai holds her, and she's trying to scoot away. Uh oh, mom is laying on her side, and has Squigs on her arm, so she can't go anywhere. But she sure is trying! Too funny. Ok, mom gonna hug her now and hold her tighter. Now Squigs is getting her tummy washed, and those little hind legs are just a kicking! Ok, may try to read what I missed. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
And welcome to our newest littlest baby EagletMomster! How cool is that! I'm so glad Mom and Baby are doing well. How exciting, a new baby! Maggie is now a big sister, how cool is that!
Ok, calm down, birth was yesterday, so chill..... (I'm talking to ME!)
Bai and Squiggles finally got settled, slept for a while, then Bai got up and went outside and Squiggles stayed put and asleep. Mom just came back, woke Squiggles up, and put Squigs on her chest to snuggle her, and now they're going back to sleep. Adorable! Bai had a bite..ok, back to sleep. Bai has Squiggles up between her cheek and paw, sorta like a stole you wear. Too cute. No, gonna turn over. Bai can't get comfy, and she's taking Squiggles with her when she moves. Frieda is standing by her babies, she's awake, babies sleeping. She's looking around, wonder what she's watching? Bai has now put Squiggles under her chin, between both arms, with her left paw on top of Squigs rump. Nope, gonna roll the baby for a sec. Poor Squiggles couldn't sleep if she wanted to! Bath time. Frieda is still very alert and looking around.
Frieda is still standing by the chicks, but she's watching the sky. Now she's looking at the chicks. Wonder if Frodo is flying around? It's dark there! Bai and Squiggles settled down for almost a whole minute, but now it's bath time again.
Ok, think we're gonna sleep now. Bai has Squiggles on her chest, and she's laying on her back, with her hind legs up in the air resting on the wall. Well, if it's comfy, and it must be...
Frieda has moved over to where she was yester day, behind the 2 sleeping chicks, but she's still awake and watching.
Well, darn. Thought our cam would clear up a bit, but still can't see the nest very well. Can see the light in the center of it, but that's about it. And you can see that through the multi-colored lines. So guess I'm gonna miss the visit yet again today. Bummer. Frieda standing guard over babies, Bai and Squiggles have finally settled down for a panda nap.
Bai and Squiggles can't seem to get comfy tonight. Bai just left, and Squiggles is sleeping by herself. Moving all over in her sleep, but sleeping. Uh oh, here comes mom back. Picking up Squiggles. Well, Squigs WAS sleeping... Now she's gonna get that dreaded bath again! She's gotta be the cleanest panda in the US!! No, just a couple licks, Bai has her up by her head, Bai laying on her back, hind legs in the air. Oh, rolling on her side now, think Squiggles is between her paws up by her head. No, moving again. Uh oh, time for the flip the Squiggles game. Poor kid couldn't sleep on a bet!
Don't have a clue what is keeping Frieda awake, but she hasn't slept since I brought the cam up this morning. Bai and Squiggles have FINALLY settled down to sleep. Shhhhhhhh...
Bai and Squiggles were doing the same thing last night. Bai couldn't seem to get comfy and Squiggles was on her back, yelling her head off. Mom finally got up and went into the next room and left that poor babe on her back. She should be able to get from back to front more easily now but she is such a little chub, it seems to be more difficult.
I was very sleepy around midnight, went to bed, woke up again around 2, and I haven't really been able to get back to sleep again. So I thought I would say "hi" to you and whoever else is on the blog.
I see Mama Panda and Baby Panda are sleeping together in the den again.
Frieda's standing straight up, the chicks are not covered at all..she's already having troubles keeping them covered, but I guess the weather must be fairly warm down there now.
(still whispering) Don't know what is wrong with our cam--haven't gone back and read yesterday's comments. Discouraging for a new cam to act up like this.
Well, darn, almost time for the AM visit, but of course we can't see them. Darn and darn again! Believe it or not, Bai and Squiggles are still asleep. Eagle in BW!!!
I just figured the temperature at Brisbane in Fahrenheit... 70.5 deg. at close to 9 p.m. That's probably why Frieda doesn't need to cover the chicks right now.

Hi Paula! Going over to SC - see what the action is on the West Coast!
Bai moved Squiggles up to snuggle her, then settle down to go back to sleep, but Squiggles started kicking her little hind legs, so Bai picked her up and we're now nursing. Guess Bai wanted 40 more winks, and Squiggles tummy said "later."
I missed the SC but hopefully some photos will be put up on the IWS forum soon.
WOW--Can't tell which PANDA is the "LITTLE PRINCE"---I think he is the tree climber---ho!!
Seneca Rock has the rainbow/sunrays effect on it now.
Would someone send me the Smokey Mts that I apparently didn't save when Mits sent it to me.
Suzanne - I am about to make a decision to have Tigress (22 yrs old)
shaved like you did for Gypsy.
I can't keep the mats out even with regular brushing. Do I inquire at a Pet Grooming place or at the Vets?

Both were there being very noisy
Now only one is there
I love hearing them.
Do we get audio or not? I am still unsure...
Norma, I'm with you. I'm excited to see her squiggling so much, and won't be long before she'll be scooting all over that den!
Jo, think we're supposed to get audio this year, but didn't Steven say a while back they were waiting for something (equipment) to arrive before they could install the audio? Don't remember for sure.
Maine: after reading below the cam Update: We are experiencing technical issues from a lightening strike. Enjoy the highlights above.
Highlights are fantastic
Right Suzanne - audio cables!
Glad you remembered and that we have that to look forward to. Even like ME if we can't see them, we'll hear them!

Hi Anne-Marie! Loved your Alaska pics!
Bye Anne-Marie, have a good day at work. (Is that really possible???)
This is hilarious! Bai is still covering Squiggles, who is now totally hidden!
Oh, no, she got her out from under all that bamboo. Looks like she has Squiggles and the bamboo in her paws...teaching squigs what it is???

Beautiful cam, but it looks like the nest is in two trees...a pine and a cottonwood or sycamore!??
Jim
Sorry Dana if my directions weren't exactly right for access this year. I have mine saved to remember me on this computer so I actually enter nothing, was just picking the brainwebs to pull out how I got in there last year. :)
Glad Jim found his way, and hope he was able to help you too Dana. It is a nice cam. The pair seems to be there very often now, so good chance of an eagle fix.

Eagle at BW
Thanks for the update from Mits, Jo.
Lots of static on our cam today
NewsFlash-Pop singer Britney Spears has lost her custody battle for her two children.
Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, will take custody of two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.
We need to hear from Megan & Jill in order to say we have had a full house!!
I think I remember Jill looking for somewhere to visit this past weekend.. Like Wash Monument on Rt 40A..... Hope both of them have a chance to pop in and say hello!
HEY PAULA Nothing from Mits yet I see. AND I see Mr. Patience is on the osprey nest in BW. Looks like he is in no hurray to move.
JO I take it you are the one who will let us know when Mits DIL has her baby. Has anyone seen eagles in our nest today.
Mr Patience still hanging on the BW platform. Wish the female would come by for a visit
Most pandas napping - speaking of which I did NOT have one today!
Eyasses are napping under the guard of Frieda.
No sightings yet, Candy!
Candy - Sharon or I are expecting an email or phone call and Yes! all of you will be the first to know... SOOOOOOOON I HOPE.
Prayers for Annie & Kevin and all. Bless little Maggie who best be entertaining everyone while the wait goes on and on and on....
Back to Eagles, Candy... Not seen today. Yet..
Denver's fixin' really wasn't very good - lots of interference and then poof! it all clears up.
JO Thanks for the info. I wonder when we will be getting sound on the cam? I guess first they have to get it working right.
Suzanne and I were wondering the same thing....We remembered that they were waiting for the Audio Cables to come.
I don't think there will be sound until we have video...
Heading home...cu later!
Perhaps we are still waiting on fuel cells for the still cam , audio for the live cam. Hasn't been any further info on either that I can remember. We have often although not continuously had a nice clear picture. Hope if and when they show up today we will be able to see them clealry.
Eagle
Good evening, everyone. Glo, just saw eagle at site but cam is going crazy again.
Glo, having problems opening up my tesoro site. Are you having any or is there another way I can get into it.
No Bobbi I can't get into Tesoro either ;(....and yes NCTC cam is off and on decent reception.
Thanks glo. Site was fine yesterday morning then went kaput.
Well that was really frustrating to even try to watch but I did get a couple of decent pictures. Will send off to MeMa Jo.
Brisbane chicks are all alone again while parent must be getting them something to eat or getting something for herself to eat. I am trying hard to find two chicks.
LOL I certainly know Patience is not sitting here with me, glad we know where he is though. Eagle back at Cape Coral however.
Did both eagles show up or just one? I was checking my email and missed most of it.
Glo I see it. The pic is wavy tho. At least you can see it, I guess.
Hi Wanda, how are you. Only saw one eagle.
Eagle at blackwater.
BOBBI How is the weather down there in Florida? Hurricane season is passing quickly and I think we have all dodged a bullet this year. I hope it stays that way.
Frieda's chicks are alone again. Love their coloring. How soon do they start to change.
BOBBI That is Patience. She/he has been there at that spot for quite awhile now.
Is he/she the one that has been there on and off for the past few days, still haven't figured out how to tell one from the other.
Just one eagle showed up so far...Keep an eye out if you can...It is that time of the evening.
IT IS A ... GIRL!!!
Molly Christina Kalis (I hope I am spelling that right) was born at 5:27 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces, 20 inches long. She has dark curly hair and a dimple on her chin. Maggie went in to meet her little sister and smacked at her, just letting her know who is boss!
Eagle took flight in Cape Coral and Frieda just came back to ber chicks on the ledte. Don't have any idea when they will start to change color BOBBI. Someone will get on here sooner or later and let you know.
Candy
WHOO HOO 2 granddaughter for Mits
CONGRATULATIONS
ANNIE & KEVIN
& MAGGIE
Wanda, the weather has been great. We have a low sitting off the bahama's and it is causing some nice winds here about 25 miles an hour for the past two days, love it. Few more weeks and the nice weather starts. Can't wait. Looks like hurricane season will pass nice and quiet.
congratulations Mits on being a grandmother again and same to your DIL for another beautiful daughter.
Congratulations Miss Maggie and family. You be a good big sister now.
HELLO NORMA
(I hope you hear me)
You did a great job boiling water
It did the trick!!!
Eagle back at Cape Coral!
candy, I get such a kick out of suzanne's blog when she is describing squiggles and bai.
Supper time for me. BBL You all keep your eyes open and don't let a thing slip by you.
We have an eagle in our nest but it sure is hard to see!
Eagle
Catching glimpses of almost decent pictures.
And MT nest!
Company came so have to go. Take care everyone and have a great night.
WooHoo Mits! Congratulations on your new granddaughter!
Glad ya'll spotted an eagle tonight through all the static!
Kudos to you on that pool win, Mits! I think it's neat they waited to find out whether it was a boy or girl...not too many people doing that nowadays.
Congrats Mits, all the best to your growing family :), I can wait 20 more years to be a grandparent :)
Good evening all
Busy day but was outide all of it, it was truly a beautiful day, even went to a farmers market up the mountain.
Robyn, Did you get apples? lol
Couldn't we have a dry-run? Maybe some apple dumplings?
I thought you were suppose to be in house today with the floors...?
Didn't run into Jill today, did you?
Or Megan?? AWOL
Cool, Jo, congrats!
Dogs and kitties went to groomer today, my floors got measured this afternoon, two more weeks :)
I did pick up fresh eggplant for some eggplant parm for my vegie friends
Good things happen in three's also.
I went and fixed some late night ice cream..........
Correct date & time on our cam but
whoa! Really hurts your eyes.
Yo! I am not AWOL, just very overworked at the moment.
You're alive!!!!
I thought you had gotten lost in the corn maze lol
The cam down under isn't giving a very good view of our two little eyasses.
GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE/GOOD MORNING TO SUZ AND THE EARLY BIRDS...
JIM
Well, actually I was lost in the corn maze this morning..lol Trying to memorize it, so I cna get thru in 15 minutes with a group.
Brisbane has posted up through Gallery 25 of the pictures that are sent to them from the viewers.
GOOD EVENING LADIES---
What on earth has happened to our cam? It looks lik rainbow stardust. Has it been like this all day?
Hi Jim I guess you know what time it is over here on the east coast... I'm not far from going to bed. What are you having for dinner? Mits got a new granddaughter today.(in case you didn't read all the blog)
Three pictures were all that were taken during the visit this evening.
Cam did not cooperate.
I gotta go to bed, long day, first school tomorrow, just checking in so as not to be reported AWOL.
Good Night Megan! Sounds like the fun is beginning! Thanks for checking in with us.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE--
SLEEP WELL.
Night Wanda, Megan, Jim.
I'm falling asleep here might not even make the news, Night Jo, sleep well :)
Good night everyone!
Pleasant dreams & peaceful sleep
Like: Rock a bye baby
In the tree top ......zzzzzzzz
Does it every time.. Robyn is asleep.
Paula you can close it down whenever you're ready... Nite!
Ok, I found it!
CONGRATULATIONS GRANDMOM MITS!!!!
BBIALW...
Whispering...sunrise at Peggy's Cove, beautiful.
good morning suz...(whispering)
Bai and Squiggles were doing the same thing last night. Bai couldn't seem to get comfy and Squiggles was on her back, yelling her head off. Mom finally got up and went into the next room and left that poor babe on her back. She should be able to get from back to front more easily now but she is such a little chub, it seems to be more difficult.
GOOD MORNING, SUZANNE. HOW ARE YOU?
I was very sleepy around midnight, went to bed, woke up again around 2, and I haven't really been able to get back to sleep again. So I thought I would say "hi" to you and whoever else is on the blog.
I see Mama Panda and Baby Panda are sleeping together in the den again.
Frieda's standing straight up, the chicks are not covered at all..she's already having troubles keeping them covered, but I guess the weather must be fairly warm down there now.
I didn't read the actual comment yet, but CONGRATULATIONS, MITS, AND TO YOUR DAUGHTER AND S-I-LAW TOO!! HAPPY GRANDMOTHERHOOD.
Jim
(still whispering) Don't know what is wrong with our cam--haven't gone back and read yesterday's comments. Discouraging for a new cam to act up like this.
GOOD MORNING JIM----
You sur have been having sleep problems. RELAX.......
Well, darn, almost time for the AM visit, but of course we can't see them. Darn and darn again!
Believe it or not, Bai and Squiggles are still asleep.
Eagle in BW!!!
I see we must have a new grandchild in our midst. I have to go back and read about it.
Good morning to you too, Wanda.
I just figured the temperature at Brisbane in Fahrenheit... 70.5 deg. at close to 9 p.m. That's probably why Frieda doesn't need to cover the chicks right now.
Jim
EAGLE OUR NEST, and you can see her! Think it's Belle.
Eagle still in BW.
