Well, it 61° and raining softly in So Cal. It's been raining gently most of the night, and the ground is pretty wet. Don't have any idea of the total that fell though. Should clear up later and warm up to around 70°.
I looked out through the vertical blinds onto the patio, and that caused a Hummingbird to move...it has been perched on a half-dead branch of a Geranium just soaking up the rain. They originated in the rain forests of S. America and love a good shower-bath when they can get one.

No, it just seems like I do, go thru them once or twice a year, think I'm going to fit back in some stuff, that doesn't usually happen.....found some stuff from dry-cleaners, still wrapped, not supposed to keep it wrapped, dress from, 1993.....:):):)
Mits anyone I'm on the florida eagle cam. I've been driving in and have located some kind of bird.
Look at the cam it's moving some not by me. The bird is perched on a branch.
It moves its head but I had to go across the water and magified it. That's how I found the bird.
Well someone else has controls now they too are trying to fix in on the bird I found.
Which I could take a picture.
can't tell, Dana, cam is shaking too much, thought it looked like a heron though.

I did too but then someone else seems to be trying to go in on the bird. When they do I see a white head and white as it would be a tail. Maybe this is an eagle after all. Mits have you driven the cam to try to focus in on this???

Where you are on the cam is: I taked at the nest, went to my right (left arrow) then used the I think buttom arrow to get across the water and found these birds.
And the controls are backwards, too, up is down, left is right
I was wondering about that, Paula...thought it was me, driving the wrong way:).

that used to be one of my favorite cams, but it gives me a headache now.

I didn't see a white head or tail, but who knows, saw the eagles in a far off tree the other night, and someone was trying to get close, there looks like an owl that visits on a lower branch after sundown every night, might keep the eagles away.
Wow that was neat but I have to tell you driving that cams gives you a headache. All that jumping around even when you stop it. I felt so drunk I almost headed to the "head"....:(

Alaska Cruise in chatroom tonight has been postponed.
Anne however fully attends to come to Open House and I am sure will be giving you a wonderful narrated tour at that time. She and I will reschedule the cruise for another time for those needing to watch from a distance.
Good Beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon Folks... I have been in 7th heaven the last hour or so.. son dropped Jasmin off so i could watch her while he goes to Lowes and helps daughter buy new stove n refrigerator... Soo i have been busy taking pictures of Jasmin and Diana together...haha watch mail for up coming pictures soon...Both are sleeping now after getting full bellies... I was thinking about going to Bingo tonight in Hagerstown... Yup our cam is that shade of blue with colored lines above... But we all know Steven will have it fixed and up and running before the real season begins.... Great to see Sharon have her comp back... Oh Sharon i bought new jammies...lol BBL today...

I have returned from Mass. I had not been to Burger King for 3 months - so we stopped & I had my double cheeseburger! Fries even tasted good.
OK, sign me up for caramel apples, kettle corn, crabcakes, and I never had a deep fried Oreo either, but how can it be anything but good?
Well at least it sounds interesting and I bet it is pretty simple to make
I still have some german chocolate cake left from yesterday... I'm going to hit it very shortly! with ice cream.

On the Frodocam, I believe that one of the Q & A ccmments dealt with that, and Greg said they had installed new equipment before the nesting season, and he can control the camera remotely from his computer.

I think the cam will be down every weekend until they resolve whatever security issues they have found. Sounds like any business or government organization...the security of the whole system can be compromised by a small, innocent-looking item. But I'm sure there are ways around the problem if they want to spend the time and money to do it.

Doing fine Wanda.
Jim-I think the main problem with the camera is the photo cell and the weather. The way I understand it the photo cell is needed to collect sunlight to power the camera and they don't have it yet. And something else isn't in yet. Don't know why it only happens on weekends unless it is something that can be reset from NCTC which is only open on weekdays. I am sure once all the parts are there and put in things will be better.
But I don't believe I like the sound of deep fried Oreos either...do they batter dip them?

Yes Jim they put them in some kind of batter and fry them. Might be the batter they use for funnel cakes or donuts. I tasted one this summer. Didn't see the big attraction really. And it was so greasy, almost made me sick.
I've had them with OJ, and the chocolate and orange blend pretty well.

Granddaughter just left me with a bag full of assorted Hershey candies for my Birhtday. I know we are not suppose to be eating Hershey products, but there are mini Reese cups and Hershey bars with peanuts in that bag and they are among my favorites. I must eat them. Sorry.....

Good evening, what a lovely night tonight. We all went on the Haunted Trail and had a great time well Tori and the spooked youngest nephew didn't, Tori struggled with the hike through the trail as it was an incline and the nephew was scared, maybe it was wrong but we couldn't stop laughing (mean aunt. So we sent them back in one of the Golf Carts.
I have tried a fried oreo and liked it, now corn on the cob fried is pretty awesome too had that at the Ventura Fair a few years ago.

No Wanda, no batter,they fry it in the husk. At first I was like EWWW gross lol but after I tried it I loved it. From what I understand you can flavor it too.
Maybe Jim heard of it since I had it in Cali maybe it is common there

No, no cookbook lol, my specialties are homemade BBQ sauces, I even have a name picked out if I ever decide to bottle some.

The most delicious barbeque I ever had was at St. James Church in Del Mar every summer. They always had a festival to raise money for the building fund, and one of the old parishioners, Jake ...., had a way of wrapping the beef and pork in burlap soaked with his special sauce and roasting it all night in a covered pit... Good thing it was at a church, because you thought you had died and gone to heaven.

Pit Beef or Pork is great. Either with a vinegar sauce or a barbeque sauce. Friend from NC makes a great vinegar mopping sauce.
I do 3 hr naps occasionally, Jill, followed by a big cup of hot coffee. Then I wonder why I can't seem to get to sleep nights.

I stopped in aminute Jill had abig day with Jazzy and went to daughters and you would have thought we were having a family reunion so many family was there... Loved it!!!! Its chilly out poor Brutus whole way home i had him wrapped in a blanket keeping him warm.. going to Pet Smart for him a winter coat soon.... well got my jammies on and going to go to bed and watch tv under the covers.. with Brutus and Sugaah of course...Brutus snuggled under my chin.. and Sugahhh at bottom of bed... Well Robyn what do you need to know? I have experience in nice and nasty blended families. And when you get to dysfunctional, well, I am pretty sure my family wrote the book. LOL
LOL JIll I doubt there are many if any families that do not have dysfunction I guess it is how we may perceive it
OH but my family carries it to extremes. Well the males to anyway. Females are a little closer to normal.
or maybe there is the HR department and deciding if we go with an outside agency or doing it in-house to evaluate the organizations strength and weakneses by doing a 360 feedback analysis lol Today is going to be the longest day of my life yet lol
