Bird Girl, I am so sorry about the fund raiser. I just got to read about it. Morning Glo and Sharon. Mema Jo out there today?????? Had to go to Markey Cancer Center in Lexington KY yesterday for ovarian cancer screen. Got a good report. 57 years old and I STILL HAVE SOME EGGS. That may not be too thrilling to you young women, but since I am 8 years postmenopausal it was quite a surprise to me. My oldest is 34, and you all know I am gran to eight so my child bearing days are way over, but I am pleasantly surprised. Sharon the pics of the baby girl Buta Buta are wonderful. Dana, love the pink kitty. Sharon, my sister, my husband would love it. We were going to adopt a baby several years ago. One of my students was going to give the baby up, and it was supposed to be a girl. When she turned into a he, her boyfriend decided to keep it. Paper work done and everything. That was about 8 years ago, and we had only one grandchild, all our children in college or finished college. That little fellow has ended up in foster care after foster care. Such a shame. It he had been a she, she would have had the best years of our life and a loving home. So Sad, How is Nilla, does anyone know. Love donna

Funniest thing is that the people walking around at the zoo, don't even know that Tarzan Tai is up there looking down at them.
He just seems to have such a good time all the time, except of course when he is getting zapped by a hot wire! It looks like he is trying to come down out of the tree head first.
I think somebody is at the bottom of the tree trying to lure him out. I am sure they don't want another 1 a.m. night.

The cam is really getting a good shot of him. It's only 5pm - I hope he comes down before too long. Those branches aren't the largest or strongest... But he's all panda & loves to climb those trees.
Don't they normally try to get them in their den by 5?
It seems that recently they have been in the den way before dark. The way he loves the frozen treats - you would think they could lure him down with that. Or even a cardboard box!!
I missed seeing any eagles today.
Well, I think it is time for me to prepare some dinner. My crock pot worked just great today - no spittin' or sputterin' like Dana's. I hope she is having a better day today!

The DC cam & Animal Planet cam now only have the panda on the rocks! Tree cam is all gone.

Sound from panda cams is still the outside cam.
Well, I am working at an orchar owned by 2 guys who sell at the Shepherdstown mkt. They needed some help the month of October and I needed some money so it works out for all of us. In the mornings we are dealing with little kids on field trips, wagon rides, picking pumpkins, etc. then I work at their farm stand the rest of the day. Good gig for me, they are really nice people and I can work there until the end of Oct.
I've heard the outside screen door open, but not the big door yet, unless it is already open and he is sneaking inside, quietly.
Oops, I meant orchard, I am really tired.
You guys are gonna have to take a road trip to the zoo to see that baby boy in person.

Yea, I'm used to dealing with the public and I get to be outside all day, spent all afternoon sorting apples.
I have not seen him since last January and I only live 5 miles from him.
It's Ridgefield farm, they are about 10 minutes out of Shepherdstown towards Harpers Ferry, so it's close to home for me.
Well I knew you lived close to the zoo, Mits. Haven't been there in years, not a big zoo fan.

I guess I would rather watch the Zoo cam then go down & take a chance of sleeping pandas greeting me.

Read the panda page for Tai and Mei - last time he was out til 1 am - looks like he is in no hurry to head in tonight either. I hope Mei isn't upset, I didn't hear anything from her, just the night sounds from tree frogs and crickets, etc... lil turkey!

It is probably the keeper there getting a cold from being out in the night air! No, I do believe it is Mei's breathing cause every time I hear the noise, her body moves like she is breathing. I just realized, somebody forgot to turn the color off on Lun Lun! I keep her and the chicks up on my screen all night for when I go to potty, I can see what they are doing. Mei and Tai still haven't settled down for the night.
Little Ledge Lodger just flopped down and is rubbing his eyes. He has had a very busy day.
I am glad I didn't get to come back on earlier - before he came home.
