We recently held a meeting here at NCTC to discuss new plans for this year's eagle cam. We are fortunate to have a new staff member on board who previously worked for a company that sells webcams for use with wildlife, so our expertise in this area just took a huge step forward.
We should have a game plan for what we plan to do this winter, and when we have some decisions , I'll post them here. Some ideas includ: multiple cams, robotic cam that can be controlled remotely (moved), and audio so we can hear what's going on.
Can't say how this will settle out just yet, but we are excited for a new nesting season, assuming our pair comes back, which we ceretainly anticipate.

Off work on time today. YOOHHOOOO! Been fighting the keyboard all afternoon cause the neighbor with the CB has been on the d*&m thing all afternoon. As you have heard before, it blocks the signal for my cordless keyboard. The only corded keyboard I have is not ergonomic and can't type worth a crap on it. Okay, through fussing now.

As far as we know, the eagles down river are a separate pair. There are also at least two pairs on Goose Creek in Loudoun.
I think the names you folks chose are just fine, and they fit the pair well. But we all at FWS tend not to namewild critters--it's just a biologist thing, so don't worry.

Well ya'll been abusy lil bunch.. Cant tell if that daddy or mom laying there i do know this morning at 7 am Mei woke up and was not ahappy camper.. Tai was sleeping and she went and tryed to wake him, she was very very vocal, finally they opened the door to there regular den and Tai took his time smeelin everything.. Dad musta spent night in there.. I dont think they like all this moving around sometimes.. BBL

JO, I believe that little turkey is still up the tree, otherwise, they would not still have the cam on outside.
Tai used to do this on a regular basis last sping til the summer, just makes for a longer day for keepers.
Feels like bonfire weather outside. I think I do smell someone's wood stove. Really love that smell & like the heat BUT don't like chopping wood & feeding the stove..............
