Norma gets to hold down the fort and the NEST! My grandson is only 7 and its more like a football little league I think, they play all positions! But he enjoys it.
It's just hard for this fat old grandma to walk to where the playing field is!

I can watch her on my husbands computer which is off to the side of my computer in my office! I saw the baby yesterday when she left it briefly! I bet he was lost without Mom!

I think it was Tai having his frozen treat awhile ago.. Think he is looking for anything he may have dropped. When they are sitting, I sometimes can't tell who I am seeing without them being together.

You can see LunLun holding her nursing cub & licking him/her. So motherly!
Just looked real quick at pandas, I think Mei and Tai are in Tians' den, without Tian of course.
There is some kind of bird up in CT, and something just flew low over the nest.
I guess it is an osprey, but it isn't lifting its head, and something is perched to the left of the cam.
Ok, silly me, it was a shadow in the nest and it just flew off, duh!
NormaByrd & Vicky I sent you a link that could get you into the videos of LunLun & Cub. Just maybe it will open for you. It's worth a try.

That was a beautiful few minutes - do wish they had sound because I just bet that little Cub missed Momma. Love the way LunLun picks up the cub in her mouth....

Can't believe that CNN (CHEAP NETWORK NEWS) doesn't make the sound thing happen, that's the best part in these early days, because, you usually hear them more than you see them. Lun leaves her cub a whole lot more than Mei ever left Tai.

Yes, NORMA can watch Lun and cub on the Atlanta Zoo cam and windows media player. Have you downloaded the lastest windows media player? And yes, Lun is older than Mei.

Mine didn't play it showed it was connecting but never did. Until the same thing I was trying to open in my mail I saved it to my desktop. Went to desktop where that icon was and opening it there. That was what Sharon had sent me. Worked great then.
HMMM! Just don't know then. I still think if she tries to downloard the new medias 10, it might work, or, she is in a heavy traffic area. I will be anxious to see if mine works when I get back to Bethesda.

hello all! so far, I've gotten ONE of my many tasks done -- well, two. Cleaned up a pile of yard trimmings (Floralgirl I had to take out the myoporum, it was so beautiful and then some kind of strangler weed took over...), planted a Texas Sage, "Green Cloud" variety, cleaned up the sidewalk. Now I'm just worn out.

DC panda cam 2 just caught a good one. Tai jumped off a rock & when he landed he just rolled head over heels down a small embankment.. LOL Then he was hanging upside down in one of the trees. He sure is a bundle of energy.
The camera can't focus on him now as he is so high up in what looks like a willow tree & you just can't see him well.
PAULA, sorry NORMABYRD has not come back in, I'm packing up the car now, will be back in before I leave. Everytime I go out to the car, I encounter renters coming into the building and I must have information written across my forehead.
Tai-Shan just loves that willow tree.

I think he may be praying to the Eagle Spirits for a safe journey in his migration... I don't really know what is going on...I thought he may be mantling...For a while you only knew it was for real because the breeze was ruffling his tail feathers.
Been watching the eagle nest at NU, today and it has been a bit breezy. Osprey also at CT.

7:18 pm I hope anyone lurking is watching the LUN LUN Cam. She is holding the cub & you can see the face so well. Momma is just licking the cub clean as a whistle. Beautiful.........
Got back too late to see that with Lun Lun. But I will be watching for a while as I am doing some OT.
It was really great. At one point LunLun had to scratch her belly with her right foot & the cub was lying on her left leg in full view. I bet around 9pm she will feed again - they say about every 2 hrs.

Wedding was alot of fun ... couple had been together 13yrs. so it was about time they got hitched.
Boy the way things do happen (life has its surprises). Again at last minute things changed due to weather and reception and inside at same place as wedding.
It was very nice...level ground and enjoyed talking with people and watching and listening to the music.
Yes lol Norma does have a way of disappearing. I wonder if her civic group puts on a halloween play and she does a brilliant disappearing act. JUST KIDDING NORMA..

YOO-HOO, HELLO, I got back to Bethesda around 7:15, good drive, beautiful cloud formations all the way home. Saw alot of soaring birds, but, my guess, they were buzzards.
Mom pandas do a good job of keeping their young clean. When Tai went for his 1st exam and they put him back, Mei licked him so hard to get the human scent off, thought he was going to be naked again.
Now I frapped Buta Buta this evening and you can see the darker stripe across its back where the black hair is coming in! I love it!
Neat Jo really a thriller when you get to see that little one isn't it.
Mits glad drive back was good and you are home safe.

Hi all. Looks like a few have arrived since last I checked in. Got lots of yard work done today. Our weather is going down hil quickly starting tomorrow. I won't send this you way!!!
Think i'll go find some cams to enjoy. Looks like it might be feeding time for the little cub and I haven't seen it today. matter of fact it Frodo cam time too lOL.
Husbands nephews wife makes wedding cakes they are beautiful and taste yummy.... with the lighted fountain.
There was this like bake bread dough that had a cream cheese mixed spread on it cut small, and topped with tiny pieces of brocilli and splinters of carrot.
A special taco mix that already had the taco in it so it wasn't cruchy but tasted really good..this was not "hot" tasting either or I wouldn't have been able to eat it.
Believe it or not there was other food too; ham and turkey slices to put or not on soft bun.
Beans with hotdogs slices.
Of course chips; several kinds and macaroni salad

Thanks, DANA AND JO,, No candy bars in the fridge, darn. DANA "RUNAWAY BRIDE" was filmed in Berlin, Maryland. About a 15 minute drive from Ocean City, nice little town. Many of their shops have pictures of Julia Roberts with the owners and townspeople. I don't think Dick wanted his picture taken with the townfolk, haven't seen any. P.S. I did bring home a box of BALTIMORE BERGER COOKIES, but I'm taking them to Annie and Kevin tomorrow
Hi Glo Grandson brought me 3 large pots of mums today which I will probably put in the planters tomorrow. They are so full & haven't started to bloom. I think I may even put some fall decor out in front of house. Always have my scarecrow boy & girl & it is almost time for the pumpkins! The farms open next weekend to have hayrides to patches to pick your own. Always do it with the little ones..Fall is a fanorite time for me!

My one grandson always asks me if I am coming to his games.... Thank goodness he is in RollerBlade Hockey (just like ice hockey without the ice) & I always try to make a few of them. They are at a SportsPlex bldg, so no field to travel on.
Looks like still no visit from Nilla today. I sure hope she is doing OK.
