Lun Lun rolled over and it scared me to death. I guess it is a turd laying there but thought it was a baby at first!
SUZANNE I'm two and a half hours away from BW, but, Lisa mentioned something about problems with the cam, somewhere, in one of her recent reports. I'll go look and see if I can find what she said. Its still raining here in Bethesda.
HMMMM! usually their turds are lighter in color, but since her eating habits have changed, could be darker. Baby pandas are light in color, really no hair to speak of, but, going to keep a closer eye on her.
I have helped in the birthing of puppies, kitties, saw Mattie being born but was under general anesthesia when I birthed my own!
Just added a teddy bear smurf album to the site, check it out!
SUZANNE Its right on the BW page above the picture, they have noticed the cams pic being washed out on Sunday, (it was really bad), they are keeping an eye on it.

Don't know what could be making it wash out all of a sudden, but, one thought, would be how the angle of the sun is so much different then when we started to watch the cam many months ago.
Another thought on the wash-out could be, since they had all that rain, maybe it could be glare from the wet ground, just throwing some thoughts out there.

hello everyone!
Hurricane John left it's mark on Phoenix (yes, it's true!) All that moisture made it to the Valley of the Sun and completely washed the whole metropolis. Power outages, flooding, stalled cars, you name it... at least I don't have to water the grass or my trees & shrubs for a week or so!
weather is starting to cool off, it won't break until around October 15th, so still in the high 90's and low 100's each day. as soon as the weather breaks, i'll get my aviary together and put my birds outside. i'll be sure to post pictures!
miss you all, hope everyone is doing well, i'm hanging in there :-)

Tai and Mei are wrestling outside having alot of fun.
Tai & MOMMA MEI are outside - I haven't refreshed to read so someone may have already reported that Tai is biting Mei's feet and she is kicking away. I really have a feeling that she stole is frozen treat again. But then the pic is dark due to the weather & she may just be eating the bamboo & Tai just wants to play.
LunLun is still in her hammock. Good place to birth a cub.

Mei was eating one place bamboo Tai wouldn't leave her alone. So she moved away him trailing fast behind her to another place. Where she tried eating bamboo.
Now Mei moved to the wooden logs and climbed up. She is laying over them; Tai is biting her tail. Now he has climbed up also and baing her around the head and is all over her.

He makes you laugh, let you see his amazing stunts, sleeps and sometimes lays like "me I never carry on" lol and Mom is more patient than most human mothers.

Lun Lun spent almost the entire day resting in her nest box. She ate a few biscuits last night. She has not eaten anything so far today. New hormone results should be available tomorrow.

So far I haven't had any trouble getting into the blog - knock on wood. Had a good day at school today. Hoping for sunshine tomorrow - our PE team takes each grade on a swim trip at the beginning of the year and again at the end of the year - so tomorrow is our day...
I was able to see the mother tiger & one of her cubs on the Tiger cam 2 from DC zoo. It's really hit & miss because she walks from one den to the other. The cubs are really growing. I have not see them on the outside cam yet.
Can anyone tell me if it is Mei or Tai on the ledge this evening?
