Eagle all gone at BW...
Tai is giving Mei a hard time. All Mei wants to do is lay over the tree trunk but Tai is climbing all over her & biting her to get her attention. Tai can't budge her.. Very Very laughable.
I can get very tired out from just watching Tai. He is a 'die hard' for sure. Mei has dumped his off of her numerous times & he just climbs back!

Poor NU eaglet hardly ever gets to eat in peace...blackbirds are bugging the crap out of him!

Raining at NU and still gettting pestered by crows...
Speaking of blackbirds, Paula, Friday at work I saw a group of 3 crows (which nest in the area) 'mobbing' a good-sized falcon out of the area. The falcon seemed totally occupied and lucky to escape.
In the spring the Mockingbirds are constantly mobbing the crows and other predatory birds out of the area.

Not certain why we have not heard from Geula in so long of a time - not even a puzzle from her. I have emailed several things to her - but no response to date.

Hi everyone. Not blogging much todya. Eyes need a break I think. it isn't quite a sore now but itchy and runny. Maybe it has something to do with all those weeds and wild flowers I cut back a couple of days ago. Polin or some such. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. First time we have had warm and sun in a long time here, and not forecast to last too long.

Dana The eaglet at NU still does have lots of the downey white feathers. Maybe it is younger then ours. He comes back so often to the nest & usually the adult is near by. Wonder if and when he'll migrate. Paula said the nest this season had 2 eaglets, but I keep thinking we are seeing the same one.
Video of Buta Buta rolling over ...Boy or girlfrom last night. I just heard from someone that they couldn't get it open. I am wondering if anyone else either had a problem with it oR did get it open. Not sure if I ned to resend to one, all oR maybe it is too big to be sending for you to import and open. Only heard from one other and they didn't mention any problem...just took a guess at bOY or Girl...so I assumed it arrived oK until just a few minutes ago when this email came.

Yes Jo you are right there was 2 from the NU nest. I also believe this one is the only one coming back to nest. I just still don't remember ours having when it spreads its wings all that white. Oh well.

MITS I just now looked at the eaglet - I was saying I only thought we were seeing the same one....NOW I have to change my story after seeing this one. I guess that both of them are hanging around..........
Still no sign of the eyasses. It is 8:15 Monday morning there so maybe somebody will come and move the camera soon.

Hello!! One of the eaglets white feathers almost form a V when the feathers are tight. The other as someone has mentioned has a lot of fledge feathers still, both are beautiful, as are, the adults. Good to see them.

Grizzlies in Alaska are off-line and Peter's Pond in Botswana, that was supposed to replace it, still is off-line also.

Sunday, September 24
Lun Lun and her cub continue to do well. Lun Lun is putting the cub on the floor occasionally now even when she is not leaving to eat or drink. Whenever Lun Lun put the cub on the floor in the first week after it was born it vocalized loudly. Now, it is usually quiet when she puts it down. It also usually remains quiet when she leaves it now. This is normal and means the cub is able to tolerate being left for longer periods of time.

Hi Got some wing flappin going on down under already My oh My...and how is everyone tonight?
Oh No don't tell me everyone is leaving now that I had a chance to stop and for a bit.
Well not staying long anyway...have really nOT stared at this computer much today at all. Need this eye to get MUCH better by tues. have an ALL day Seminar I owuld like to see and nOT look too crummy at either. Still very bloodshot and a little weepy but doesn't feel as bad as last night.
Well I guess I'll stay here for about 5 and if no one comes in I too will just call it a day.
Thank goodness it's Monday in Brisbane...couldn't stand that cam much longer...they need a weekend crew!

I haven't been around any kids or anything where I think I owuld pick up pink eye bUT guess you never know for sure. I think I got some pollen or small piece of weed stuff int here but I didn't feel it happen if that is what is going on. it isn't turning into a stye though :-)

It was really sore last night. I have not been at the computer as much today as last night I still wasn't sure it wasn't a stye forming. Today when it started running and itching I thought nah its not gonna be a stye. Still a little sore but more itchy and weepy. I'll decide tomorrow whether to just wait it out or go see someone. That's ok, SUZANNE fire away with the questions. I'm going back to OC today. My daughter-in-law, her Mom, my 2 sisters and MAGGIE are coming down. Won't have time to stop at BW, but maybe on the return trip later in the week.
I'm thinking it will stay lighter longer in Brisbane because they are going into their spring and summer months, which we be good for us to watch. Thank SHARON for the cam-view change, she sent them an e-mail and within minutes the cam was changed to view the eyasses.
