MITS said...

Paula emailed this message:

I am still banned from the blog, I'll try later on this evening from
home.

Mema Jo said...

Looked like Momma Mei said ALL DONE, KID - even though Tai didn't think so!

Mema Jo said...

The juvie at NU has all his white under feathers blowing in the wind.
Maybe he'll lose them. I wish he would lie down in that nest. There aren't any sides to keep him from blowing out of there.

belle_wv said...

It sure is windy there at the NU cam - I'd never looked at it before - nice nest size, hope it holds up. The CT site is looking so wind-torn. Maine starting to get breezier, too. It is still drizzling here. They are playing the football game here Monday afternoon - decided the field was too wet and would get too torn up to do it this evening.

belle_wv said...

Wow quite a steady gust there a second ago - poor eaglet is sure getting the wind tunnel treatment - now it is calmer and he/she is doing some preening uh oh lost the picture says my session has ended :( how long can you watch?

belle_wv said...

Still got a couple hours til sunrise in Brisbane

MITS said...

I think they gave Mei and Tai their fruitcicles in a brown box, they seem to be enjoying themselves.

MITS said...

Eagle took off at NU.

MITS said...

osprey left at BW, wonder if the eagles will come back now???

MITS said...

BELLE I get about 10 mins, mine never tells me my time is up though, it just stops playing.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Belle,
NU gives you 10 min viewing, but you can sign back on immediately.

This blog is slowing down - especially when you refresh in order to read before you blog......
We're more then half way to hitting 1000 If we have it until Tues am, WOW look out!

glo said...

Decided its time for a tea break Really cute sight Nilla, Thanks And from a cat person no less. Just like ANON Tee...Hee.

How are you feeling today. You go back to the Dr like Sept 11, right? Do you still watch your blood pressure. Oh I meant to tell you the other day if you are coming to "tent" with Sharon and I , you are going to have to share those M&M OK. Dark Chocolate LOL.

Vicki Thanks for the hand of applause. Actually I only did maybe 1/2 of it. Nilla and Sharon came through quickly for me this time around; although I did give them a 2 day time frame LOL

I do hope everyone has either read or at least found their newsletters to read later. It's kind of neat that so many are on here today watching the eagles from various places even with the storm etc. Perhaps they are ushering in the Courier Eagle for us as they know where to find some people who really enjoy them, and even stick around when they aren't cute little fuzzy balls anymore. They definitely have a fan club right here on this BLOG for sure!!!

Dana Thanks for visiting around the Daily Motion site some yesterday too. I have such fun doing those kinds of things, and memories, well there they are and they don't load up the hard drive. I think they have to have some kind of activity on a monthly basis and otherwise Daily Motion will just leave them alone. Some have been there for a while as you can see. All our first fledge videos are there too.

Country Dance Actually I do love to country dance and at one time had a pretty darn good partner. He wanted more than just a dance partner in time though so....need I say more.

That video though is Round Dance That particular song though Run For the Roses, is a very pretty Country Song. Round Dance is sorta like choreographed ballroom. The lady you hear talking is called the cuer ...she names the cues "steps" and everyone does the same thing at the same time as they move around the floor. Round Dance has 6 levels. That was just a level 2 waltz, but that is what was playing when I had access to a good partner, and a good camera person too LOL. I can dance through Level 4, about as high as it goes in my area, but in TX and AZ they dance through level 6. It's awesome to watch on that level if people have learned to do it well anyway.

Well Long, post, and tea is about done too. Guess I'm going back to work for a couple of hours and that will be it for today.

Anyone need an iron and an ironing board? I haven't used it in 5 years, so it is going in the Garage Sale. Might not even be able to sell it these days LOL!
Blog at ya later.

glo said...

Guess I made up for lost time blogging LOL back to work!!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Yes, Glo, I do need an iron and ironing board. Could you run it to me, please! :)

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

There was an eaglet back in the NU nest. I think he just flew up onto a branch at 12 o'clock!

Mema Jo said...

Just jumping in and right back out!
Going to church service - Burger King - then I'll be home to catch up on things as I prepare foods for my daughter's picnic tomorrow afternoon. By then, Vicky will have sent me some of that glorious sunshine! LoLove

wvgal_dana said...

If you haven't been to CT site river is over its banks, very hard rain and heavy winds. Lil Smurf's nest is soak through. Hope it can take it. No site of him anymore. Probably found a place to hide I hope.
Glo your welcome I enjoyed it very very much. Wanted to leave a comment in a couple of places in there but couldn't figure out how. Glad you caught it in this blog.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Eaglet back in the NU nest!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Going back out for a little while. Be back after 7! TTFN!

wvgal_dana said...

Vicky IL I like that lava lamp in blue that's pretty. Oh about the bug.......I killed it with the fly swatter..eekk sorry

belle_wv said...

Watching the NU eaglet try to hold on - still seems pretty windy there. Glad it made it back to the nest for a rest of sorts

Frieda is only 'half' most of the time -wish it was the bottom half LOL that's where we're waiting to see the lil fluff ball - she's poking around under her chest - rolling things I guess - hard to tell when you don't get the whole refresh

CT is getting downright marshy. Easy picking for fish if the wind would settle

belle_wv said...

Looks like 'feisty' is trying to build up some walls on the nest to hang on to!

glo said...

catch up without writing half a page time fo rme. Turned on the NU site, worries me for that eagle and hoping ours all did OK too. Next week would definitely be a good time for Steve or someone to .Look out the window or drive down the lane Whatever they have to do for an eagle/nest report.

With all the eagles around these nests this weekend I kind of think ours are around more than they get spotted too. This would be a good week to spot for us Momsters!!! YES

belle_wv said...

Wow water is really getting high near the CT nest.

belle_wv said...

is everyone else (anyone else) having trouble with the frodo cam? I wanna see the bottom of the pic and it won't show up. I guess maybe they're having trouble with a lot of folks watching so it can't refresh fast enough? Nilla, you said you were going to email, right? Did you hear anything back?

belle_wv said...

She's off the nest and I think I saw 3 eggs in one shot - but it won't fill the whole pic so can't be sure

Just Vicky said...

Did Belle get the WAAXXXXXXX

Just Vicky said...

Glo, we should have made a trip this weekend!

657 COMMENTS!! WOW!!

I'll probably never get this one 'published' but here goes....

I made a new puzzle of the Eagles on the Osprey nest (which I now see some of you commented on already)... Hope you like it.

In case I can't get back in here, I definitely hope you all have a great, great Labor Day.

Eagle buddy,
Jim

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I am back. The water is really high at Baby Smurf's nest. That means that Teddy Smurf has washed away! Sad, sad day there.

NillaWafer said...

Well Teddy maybe gone BUTTTTTTT LQQK!Saturday, September 2

Lun Lun’s progestins are finally decreasing! If she is pregnant, we expect her to give birth when progestins approach baseline. That should happen in the next couple of days. Lun Lun ate some biscuits and bamboo overnight. She also broke up pieces of bamboo and spent several minutes chewing on her nest box. This might be nesting behavior. So far today, she has only eaten a small amount of sugarcane. She is spending most of her time resting in her nest box. The keepers continue to keep a close eye on her. We are all hoping for the best.

We haven't heard from FLORALGIRL since Friday morning if I correctly scrolled through all these comments for the sunflower. I don't think she has Market on Saturdays anymore. I just wonder if she forgot to wear her Wellies & is stuck in the mud in her garden!!!!

NillaWafer said...

Just checked on local news web site and there is an artical about the shooting... www.nbc25.com father shot both sons and his self

glo said...

Nilla I did read where they put one down yesterday. I hadn't watched that nest. mostly have just watched eagles, and then mostly ours. But I do have a few pics and clips from NU and BC eaglets as they grew etc. Trying to not get hooked on another cam, but yep freida has taken my eye. I have watched her a couple of times a week for short periods anyway, and a little more the last 3 days or so. Want to see a little fuzz ball again myself LOL

glo said...

Ya know news like that makes me feel so bad for any survivors "if there are any " in the immediate family". Even the extended family's kids have been shown and awflly tragic way to deal with some of what life dished out at one time or another to pretty much all of us.

NillaWafer said...

Vicky what are you talking about games??? Either i am confused or its time for your meds..

Mema Jo said...

Vicky No new game - good old 50's still is in progress. You sometimes don't read what I write to you late at night, do you?????
I only had made a suggestion... & since no one picked up on it - it's a dead issue.

Ok Nilla's question is a good one Do we want to keep the newsletter just eagle related. I DID ask for everything to be eagle related this first time.

We are allowed 5 topic areas. maybe we could make one of them Other related which means you could pretty much write about anything.

I want one Eagle Educational

Probably would love to keep the Cares and Concerns, Feel free at any time to send ideas for Special Events, Care and Concerns

I think I would like to feature one of you who have subscribed and want to participate maybe to write up a little each month like a "Getting to know Me Better" kind of thing...If you think that would be fun. And that still gives us one more.

So yes Kind of Brainstorming outloud to see what kinds of ideas and feedback you have.

I really want to make it Ours and something we would all enjoy reading.
