Yeah, I don't see much difference, either. I'll stay on IE, since I'm there now. We ususally use firefox.
This is really frustrating, but understandibly so. Maybe someone at the site will video it and put it on youtube for us to see clearer and without interruptions of silence.
It isn't even picking up where it left off, so you miss quite a lot!
WVEC: Once more we apologize for the poor video quality on this stream. We realize many are disappointed but we will get all the video we have online as soon as possible. When our crew gets back to Norfolk we will encode their raw footage, etc.

That was rather disappointing, but know they did the best they could. Will look forward to edited video later that will bring it all together. We often use the term, "free as a bird". I'm so happy that the 5 eaglets are now that free ! What a feeling it had to be to soar off over the crowd, huh ?
LEONA has "gone to town", but hope she'll honor us with her presence again soon. I miss seeing her pics, hearing about her quilts and life in Oklahoma !
RED, what good, good news ! Glad they took good care of you and that you're now feeling so well. We have missed you. Belle and Truder no longer visit in the early afternoon because you aren't here to take a nap. That was once their cue to zero in on the nest !
I have SO lost track of these eaglet's progress since my move end of June and just happened to come to the computer and noticed a field with a lot of people - so glad I was able to see one of them in the air - I was cursing my new cable's connection until I came to the blog and see it is all choppy anyway - wow time marches on huh? Godspeed, little guys, as you begin a new life of freedom . . . such an emotional moment.
LYNN, thanks for the Release video. Looking forward to more later.
IRENE, great to see you on this special day ! So happy to see you used the beautiful Eagle at the Minneapolis cemetary for your avatar ! Gorgeous. Hope your move smoothed out after that horrendous experience with the moving company. How goes it ?
There was a link on the moderated chat that had what the tv station had taped of NX the girl, and another...sorry if you already know this I just got home and saw it, and saw that I can't see the video. The video of the two being released was beautiful....the second one was like a fairy tale. cut and paste...sorry on my ipad:
Sorry Lynn got it to you... thanks Lynn. Wasn't that beautiful?
Hello everyone. What a beautiful day. No big that we couldn't see it now - what's important is they were released in a perfect setting that was best for them.
Was up with the morning crew and came back for the release, but it was so disappointing. Even with IE it was very sketchy. Wish I could've heard the announcers, but could only hear about every 5 word. Not a good dialogue at all.
Thanks Lynn for the link to a release. Sure was a great sight.
How many were released? Thought I read 4, but there were only 3 at Norfolk.
LORI, I was wondering if you got home in time to see the releases. The feed was very choppy, but early on, before the Norfolk 3 and their buddies arrived, Ed pointed out a vulture flying above the field. He discribed the wing pattern in flight that differentiates vultures from eagles when we see them overhead. So, what is the latest on your Vulture family ?
Time to accomplish something around here---haven't even gotten out of my p.j.'s yet. A load of towels ready to fold and a load of Kay's clothes to go into the dryer. BBL !
Oh gosh, the vulture chicks are soooo big now. I will have to post pictures, but they really are hideous, poor things. Their fluff is flying off and many of their big feathers are in on their wings...they are a sight. OK, I promise to get them on my blog. I'm so leary of walking through any of the grass since I got all those yellow jacket bites!
The video of the second eagle -- on the "2 releases" video is just gorgeous. I don't think a movie producer could have done it any better.
Happy laundering KAY! Great to see you again Early Bird DIANN!!!
MARGY I don't know if you were sleeping or working but I hope you're having a great day.
PAULA, as always thank you for narrating and providing info from the various sources as you do so well.
I was driving home wishing I had someone's phone # in my cell so they could narrate for me - little did I know that there wasn't much to see. My video was frozen and the sound only popped on for about 5 seconds every 10 or 15 minutes.
Diann, now the kittens are nothing like the black vulture chicks... these kitties are sooo cute and so funny. Bobby is super sweet. Still working on little girl Andy and her feral ways.
LOL, DI, Ed didn't discribe, he described ! How old is Jared and where does he live ? Growing up in Tucson my birthday was often celebrated with an outdoor picnic or activities. Here in Ohio that wouldn't have been possible !
LORI, see what I mean about this puter ? I've had it on since 8:45 and much of the time had both the blog and the "release" screen up at the same time. No glitches whatsoever. What the heck is it about early morning ?
By the way, I really am getting some things done, but leaving the blog up and checking it as I walk by. When I fold a load of clothes I walk one article at a time to it's destination. A little ploy to get more walking in since my home is so small. I went from a 3000 sq. ft. home to a 1500 sq. ft. home to this condo which is 960 ! It's all I need, but it doesn't use many calories to keep it ship shape.
It was 282 comments when I left this am for work now there are 482 I have almost 200 comments to read boy I will never get anything done when I get home tonight at 6 Home for lunch at 1 I went to facebook and so far no VIDEO of the release I am so surprised maybe not enough time has passed and they are still putting it together will check when I get home later
LYNN thanks for posting the 2 release I just watch it to cool Love it and am crying also I love how the one flew way high up compared to the other one went for the trees THANK you I did post on facebook also
Hi, Gang, Golly, after I got myself some breakfast, Emma and I fell back asleep! Thanks for posting the video of the eagles' release, Lynn! Saying prayers for the eagles. Godspeed!
Adding Red to my prayer list. Glad he's feeling much better! Hope we hear from him soon.
Well, have some bills to pay, so gotta get busy here. Will check in later. Hope everyone has a good day! :o]
DI, discribe/describe wasn't your spelling blooper, it was mine, so I'm the sorry one ! Sounds like Jared is on sure track to success ! I know you're proud of him !
Kay, I went from 3500 sq. ft. straight to 990-something! BIG adjustment. Christie's room was so small that we had her dresser in the LR! Barely enough room to walk around the bed. Good thing I made previous owners remove hot tub---I don't like them---it was in the room that would become Chris's! She didn't really decide to come with me until a couple of days before I moved in. But I do have a full basement, and I added the sunroom which gave me another 200+ sq. ft.
The winning names of "Harry, Ron and Hermione" were submitted by Joan from New Jersey. Joan enjoys hiking and nature in her spare time, and also following our young chicks on the Osprey Cam.
As all Harry Potter fans know, the final Harry Potter film was released just a couple weeks ago, and that brings an end to the saga of the Harry Potter books and movies, which millions of people around the world have enjoyed. Earlier this year, we paid tribute to the American space shuttles by naming our three eaglets after the three shuttles that were recently retired, so we decided to name our three osprey chicks after the Harry Potter characters that are retiring this year as well.
As for which chick gets which name, it's been very hard to tell the gender and identity of our chicks. They all seem close in size, and because the food has been flowing freely this year, one chick wasn't behind in its development, so it was hard to spot the youngest. But for the record, we'll name the oldest Harry, the middle chick Ron, and the youngest Hermione -- because the youngest usually needs to be smart and spunky. :-)
Thanks to everyone who participated in our contest. If your entries didn't win this year, hang on to them and you can use them again in a future chick-naming contest -- they might just win next time.
LYNN I am glad you noted about NX being returned to the centre. They will try again in a couple of weeks is what I read from your video post of the "2 releases".
Hi, Kay! Hope you read forward to see my response - I had to leave right after I posted. None of this move is going as smoothly as planned so we have to adjust daily - very nerve wracking. The panic at the state of our belongings is settling a bit and now we have the culture shock, but we are adjusting. One foot in front of the other is my new mantra! Thanks to all for your concern - and don't forget the prayers! Later -
P.S. Irene, know what you mean about culture shock! It was very hard on me when I came here 40 yrs. ago. And it was only 75 miles from home---the DC metro area!
Hi, Lynn! Nothing from the moving company yet - this may stretch out for years from what I have been reading. Of course, the insurance will be faster, but I want that entire driver's portion of this move - there was just no excuse for his behavior, nor what he did to our belongings. He couldn't have tried harder to completely ruin everything! Nikki starts classes at the end of August so she has a little time to try to get her apt in order. They have a 3-bedroom and I am currently in the master w/bath - hope I find something soon, you know?
OK, word is that NX was probably hot an exhausted from the extra handling today to put on the transmitter, and she really didn't do very well in her first 2 flight attempts. They captured her from a tree and will take her back to the center, and re-release her in a couple of days.
Hi all! I love it! Just read about the BWO names! Fantastic! If you have not read the books, you really should. They are great!
We are having down time in the heat of the day. Spent another morning at the beach, Joseph with his boogie board, and Laurel and I on our floats. We like to go out and float in on the waves. Jacob likes to play in the surf and Jack likes to get wet then sit and read. LOL Everyone is happy doing their thing. And, of course, we built our second castle today.
Jack just talked with the doctor. They are now ordering an MRI..said the x-rays showed degeneration and some slight narrowing.???? So, Monday he will talk with them about scheduling an MRI. He is really doing okay, his neck just gets tired.
PAULA, thanks for the info. Here is an additional comment posted by the moderator PiedmontN8ive:
I hear that NX was a real stinker today. Wore herself out fighting everyone then the heat of the day took its toll. She is just fine though - and in good hands, as we all know.
IRENE, I returned and found your response, thank you. You most certainly have my continueing prayers. What a nightmare. I can understand your wanting to find your own place soon and I hope you can recoup the losses that driver caused. They can't pay you enough for the anguish he put you through, that's for sure !
LOLLY, great to hear about the fun you're all having ! Praying the docs will better define Jack's problem with the MRI and that a remedy will be found soon after you return home.
Kay, yes she fought when they were fitting her with the transmitter, they didn't think she would! She also was struggling when Steve L was holding her before she was released.
Well it has been a wonderful day 4 out of 5 have been released. NX will go in a couple of weeks. Prayers that the eaglets now in God's HANDS and God helps them find food.
Margy and James are out swimming.
Leona nice to see you had dropped in.
They really had a nice diverse crowd from all over.
Prayers for Red!!!! So glad he is feeling better but sorry he had to be admitted.
I hope this comes through from our Journal newspaper today. This is where AAWW-Animal Advocates of West Virginia had their first anniversary at the barn at Poor House Farm Park, Martinsburg, WV. on Sunday May 15th.
I have been there several times to see activities of friends that have horses.
There is a nice size pond there. Plus there are streams all around the area. Sleep Creek isn't that far as the eagle flies.
KAY I loved your song to cute! and I love how you do laundry one and a time funny RED Hope you feel better soon. Speaking of our homes sq ft mine is 1664 with porch 1248 living space and that is with just one bathroom it was originally a two bedroom and then they added a bedroom with a long hall to the utility room it was built on the driveway STUPID move I have cracks I guess because I have mold issue out there I don't use the room at all only for Christmas storage and that I have to watch boxes on floor also PIA and I know they knew it when they sold the house to that what makes me mad
How sad about NX
IRENE I hope you can get your life back in order soon just breathe deep
THANKS to all the BEST EAGLE MOMSTERS AND DADSTER for giving a blow by blow play of todays activities of the release I did post three videos on face book that came from the WCV page I took from the Eagle addict page
LOLLY Slight narrowing sounds like spinal stenosis I also have that the nerve canal is getting narrow which can cause discomfort if the nerve get pinched Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers and also if he is in more pain in a either standing of laying or sitting then she should have the MRI in that positions there are different units use to be just laying down one I had to go to to another county to get it done because they had none in this area so just a suggestion
I am caught up Yeah now to go do some nest resting and some housework BBL
LYNNE 2 and STEVE you must have gotten antoher car??/Hurrah. What colour and what model?
The moderated discussion at Norfolk has Mr. Clark and Amanda and they apparently have been subjected to some negative comments and they ae handling it with grace.
Lolly, the anrrowing is called stenosis. Unfortunately, it's part of aging...:( Really nothing that can be done for it. If the degeneration (DDD=degenerative disc disease) ) is impinging on the cord, then surgery may be necessary.
For those of you on face book go to the Shepherdstown page or mine or your news feed a 10 year old boy did three video of the eagles release I posted them from the Eagle addict page which came from WVC site HERE IS A SHORT VIDEO OF NV CAPTURE AFTERWARDS NV CAPTURE
The West Virginia car wash guy who does Sinatra moved on to semi-finals on AGT!
Someone asked last night about the damage liguid meat tenderizer would do to the mucosa.....not sure, BUT.....pepsi and coke are used in marinades for meat....and in chemistry we put a piece of steak in a glass of cola overnight...and there was NO meat left the next day! SO......
Seems like everyone is tired out from the events of today!!
I have been watching of the videos of the release on you tube, which were much better than what I saw live today. I am sure there are more postings to come.
Ed Clark is going to moderate the NBG blog tomorrow morning at 9am. There are those who have questions about NX and the events of today.
All in all it was a good day. Hoping and praying they do well, find food and shelter and make it. God Speed NBG Eaglets and others.
Car is a Mazda Protege 2000. We got a good Carfax report, good reviews online. Right about what we wanted to spend. One thing needed to be fixed so we can't pick it up til tomorrow morning. It was a very small used car dealer and Steve was in 7th Heaven having spent a good 45 minutes talking to the owner, who is a Vietnam Vet and was with the Screaming Eagles...or as those in the 82nd called them, the Puking Chickens! That got started in Vietnam because there was no word in there language for Eagle so they said Chicken! He had some very horrible experiences there.
Anyway, the car saga will be over in the morning THANK YOU JESUS!
Good Evening Eagle Buds. Been busy--had to order a housewarming gift for our friends who have been moving to NC. They will still be coming back here, but last weekend, both kitties got moved, so that's more final!Their daughter & family lives 1/2 hr. away, so they will have a kitty sitter if they leave for more than a couple days. MD house not on market yet. Then I was chomping at the bit to see the VA eagle release. Found some videos on WVEC.Too bad NX had to come back, but better to be safe. She did fly pretty low.
Gotta do the do for appt. in AM. Isn't it nice they called today & left message to be 1/2 hr. early!! BOO
Saw Leona made an appearance and Red had been in hosp!Hope you are OK now!!
OH! And I saw a Monarch at the car place....I've seen so few in this area this year so far. AND, a fledgling Grackle, AND....overhead, an OSPREY was flying!!!
Pretty interesting about the Pepsi and Coke eating the steak away. I've heard many times over the years how drinking soda may be linked to Pancreatic cancer. No wonder....
Tropical Storm Watch in effect for parts of Texas coast....Lolly, I hope some of it swings your way and so will get just enough beneficial rain from it to save your yard....too late for the farmers. And glad your vacation was THIS week!
LYNNE 2 Congratulations to you and Steve on the Mazda. Very reliable car. Good choice. When I opened the link I could not get a picture. Thanks for posting it.
OOPS--I missed you , Scott!!! Good to see you drop in , too!!I have seen how busy you are. That is excellent!! But I know from photog friends, spring and summer are your busiest times!!! Keep in touch. And cool that you have interns working with you!!
Lynne, nice looking car. Hope it does you well for years to come!
Linda, great news about Connie! Know she must be very relieved. Prayers continue, of course.
Forgot to tease DanaWV---you didn't read the morning posts on the last blog, did you, kiddo???!!
A monarch, Lynne---lucky you! Another piece of yucky info....have noticed that in addition to flies, sweat bees and Myrtles, butterflies also like to nibble on doggy poo......SO, if a butterfly blesses you with a landing, wash good!!
We have raccoons tap dancing all over the roof tonight. They're not very light-footed. Have seen 3 or 4 fledgling night herons on our roof, and the roof next door. Hope that works out OK.
Lynne, congratulations to you and Steve on your new car! It looks really nice!
Prayers continue for Connie. Great news that the surgery went well! Hope the nausea and BP straighten out pronto!
Hope and pray that the eaglet that they had to recapture will be OK. Poor thing must have been pretty stressed. Know they will take good care of her, though. Prayers for the ones they did release!
Good to hear that Jack's neck is behaving and not driving him crazy. Prayers that the MRI will be helpful, and that something can be done to prevent a recurrence!
Lynne2, congratulations on the "new" car. Enjoy in safety.
Linda, so pleased Connie's tumor was completely removed and wish her continued good health.
Lynn, thank you for posting the eaglets' release. Will look forward to a report tomorrow on NX.
Continue to feel better, Red.
Lolly, you might suggest that Jack seek the advice and expertise of a neurosurgeon. When discs and spine are involved, you want someone who specializes in nerves and spinal cord treatment. Best thing I ever did. Pain-free for 3 years after 18 months of debilitating pain.
The night light is on for anyone who needs to arise in the darkness or may stumble in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for everyone.
Hi and bye, Judie and Andy. I am heading for bath and bed now, too. Goodnight to all---including those who haven't checked in and out....JO, WANDA, DIANN, etc.!!!
I am popping in and out very quickly as I am headed to bed after a very long day with my daughter.. Everything is great but I am so extra tired and can't read back except to see that my friends Lynn and Judie are right above me.
Good night and God's peace be with you Prayers for all Hugs for all ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Well I'm going to go veg in Mindless TV Land for a while. Will try to get here early again tomorow. Want to try to see Ed Clark (and of course, our Early Birds!). Prayers said for everyone here, and for all creatures. Both security systems have been enabled. Wishing sweet dreams for everyone. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Well checking in to say GOOD NIGHT to all and GOD BLESS. Going to get my book and do some reading before I go to bed. Sweet Dreams.Prayers to all who are in need and who are on my prayer list.
Evening is over. We had yet another great evening. I do have a story though.
We were in the surf for our evening at the beach when something stung me. Have no idea what...but a thread (looked like fishing line) was wrapped around my thighs. It stung like h___!!! Needless to say, I got out of it as fast as I could and made for shore. My arms from elbows to wrist and my thighs were burning like h___!! Laurel googled jelly fish sting and we got some help. I sat at the edge of the surf and rubbed my thighs with sand and salt water. Jack left and went to the stores for remedies. LOL I survived...the sand and water helped. Then Jack bought a lot of stuff. Have no idea what it was...jelly fish or portuguese man of war. There was no pain, just massive burning, but I am perfectly okay now. Thanks be to God that it was me and not one of my boys! My brother also called his son for a remedy. All is well! I am fine!
We are watching the weather. Looks like we might have to leave Friday and not Saturday. "Don" may be cutting our trip short, but if he brings rain to Texas then all is okay. LOL
Really, I am okay...my thighs burned like anything but I will be back in the water in the morning.
Lynne, so glad you and Steve found a car and hope it works out perfectly for you. You guys deserve a break!!
Jack is already snoozing...time for me to hit the sack.
LOLLY, Gene was stung by something in Florida (JudyE's territory) and his feet and ankles swelled quite a bit and was on fire for 3 days. Never did see what got him! Glad your pain is easing up♥
Well, here I sit all alone, Gene is asleep (has to work tomorrow), Dustin had to go home (football stuff), nothing good on TV or facebook....guess I'll go to bed, too:)
GOODNIGH MY FRIENDS SLEEP LIKE A BABY PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL
Wishing JACK a speedy prognosis for his pain and discomfort~
LOLLY, finally some info on Jack's neck. Now we have big clues and the MRI will yield even more. So glad you sent him to your doctor. Women Docs/PA's really seem to test more, or iss it they care more. Can't generalize like that but I'm glad you're getting somewhere on the diagnosis.
I'd also take JUDIE'S advice. She was very helpful with my Mom's surgery since she and Darth had both been through similar experiences.
I know Allegheny General where Mom was has a Spine Institute part of the hospital that is one of the best in the world. People from all over were there having their back operated on for a variety of reasons.
Ah, LYNN, PAULA, KAY, I'm so touched that you guys really want to see the black vulture chicks... I'll get the pics on soon.
I'm going to see my Mom and help her out in PA this weekend. Give her a break from my Dad!!!
PAULA, THANKS for the update on NX. I love how concernced WCV is about their patients.
WANDA - why are you up so late every night? I always love reading your posts - and they're usually right there as soon as I get on.
KAY, I don't know what to think about your computer. I know we tried a speed test on my computer and it was greatly faster than yours. What type of connection do you have from ATT? Again, Paula is the computer guru here.
HOPE to see DIANN and THELMA even earlier this morning so they can document a BELLE & TRUDER visit - hopefully -- fingers, legs and toes crossed.
Hello Good Night? Good Morning? LOL, guess it depends on who is reading!
Am very encouraged to read the report on Linda's friend Connie, and hope that all the follow-up reports are good.
And Jack, the results coming in for him, hope the treatment will be swift and restorative. Sorry to read of Lolly's tangle with the unidentified sea creature...either Man-o-war or Jellyfish, Yikes!
Lori saw what I think were black vultures riding the thermals Wednesday afternoon, a little more regal than the red-head turkey vulture, wasn't so sure they weren't eagles until I got out the binocs Like the others here, I look forward to the pictures of your black vulture young'uns, homely or not ! Glad your Mom gets to see you this week-end ♥
Also Wednesday saw a monarch butterfly, and heard a yellow-billed cuckoo, and dozens of katydids after dark
Kay, neat nickname for you: Katydid and Lynne: Congrats that you and Steve found a car !
Have been enjoying some time with Grandson James, he's asleep and I guess I should be too, so that's my next task after this post...
I will tell him that his pals here said "HI"
We saw a C-5 (the LARGE Military transport plane) fly over today from where we were swimming at in Jefferson County.....spectacular. It was very impressive, and James thought that I should be sure to tell "everyone on the blog about it" ☺
I've read all the posts, am glad of the happy things, and prayerful about the tougher things...
Can't believe ISS might end up in the bottom of the ocean in 2020 - I'll go out and watch it as often as I can between now and then....
Hoping that Thursday that is, Today will be a good day for everyone
Prayers for wellness and healing, and comfort of the spirit where it's needed
LOL! Thanks Lori, I think he is just tired because he was up at 2:00 this morning and then back up again at 5:30! But who knows I like you answer better!

Might be easier to hear him talking if the locusts would hush!
Does anyone remember if they will be putting the transmitter on at Berkeley or did they do it at the wildlife center?
And they only putting the transmiter on one of they, correct?
Oh my, that fellow has a sunburn.
NZ got the transmitter
Mine is working much better in IE
Shoebutton recommended trying IE instead of Firefox if you were having a problem with the live feed.
I am using firefox, but it cuts in and out, with long periods on nothing in between. Is anyone using IE having the same experience?
Oh, lots more people on the one side of the field.
I know I have been on for a long time. But I am here watching our eaglets being released today.
Linda, try IE...much better, still in and out, but much better!
Ok I see you all have your Groove going with the Eaglets' Release...
Have Fun !!
How Wonderful, a Double Play this morning for some of our Early Birds...
James and I are heading out...Swimming is on the agenda.
Might have a sleepover in Shepherdstown...not sure yet...
Hoda:
James bought a book at Goodwill on Canada last night! Complete with some neat maps !!
I'll be sure to show him YOUR corner of the World
Best Wishes for a Good, Safe, Healthy and Joyful Day
xoxo ♥
Hi Leona!!!
I just switched to IE. I was on Chrome. I do not see any difference.
Hi Leona!
And Hi to anyone else lurking out there!
No differnce here between IE and Firefox---I have it open in both.
We have missed you, Leona.
WVEC:
We apologize for the poor video quality this morning. It's due to the marginal data connection from this remote location. Please don't refresh the page when the video pauses, just wait for it to restart. The problems are on the upload, not with your download.
hi all! sure wish the feed was better.
Hi, Leona!! Long time no see!
Oh well! At least we have some video!
We should have made this our get together day!!
Next time, we just need to go to the release site.
HI JAMES!! Hope you and Margy have a great day today!
Glad to read we got a visit from both eagles at the nest this morning!
Welcome back, Leona!! We've missed you!!
Looking at all of the cameras, I am sure there will be videos to watch later.
At this rate, we will be watching long after they are actually released.
I'm going to shut down one of the laptops and see if it helps my bandwith. BBL Enjoy!!
HI* MARGY AND JAMES* Cool that you have a book about Canada James and maybe you will come up and visit us...We love OUR NEIGHBOUR to the south...
I know they have to make an event of it, but I wished they would get on with the release...
OH The eagles are still not there!!!
Hedgie I have been here just hanging around in the background. :)
Well thank goodness it unfroze to see that one take off. LOW!
They just let an eagle go???
Ah, the second one was released.
Godspeed, baby eagles!
They let one go, Paula.
Gosh aren't they beautiful ♥
#2-----at least they aren't waiting 15 min. in between like they originally said.....apparently.....
Male....that's all I could hear Ed say about it, even tho' he's still talking.
my picture got hung up just as they were holding the 3rd for release. UGH. sure hope there will be a video later!
Off topic----on FB: Red just got out of the hospital....but says he feels better than he has in months. Prayers for Red, please.
WVEC:
In a few minutes we will post the video clips from our newscast showing the releases
This one is soaring higher! Good boy!
OMG I was wondering where he has been....what happened? Prayers for sure! Thanks Lynn for the heads up!
Tearing up here, watching these eaglets being released....
I didn't think I would cry but I am...
WVEC: Once more we apologize for the poor video quality on this stream. We realize many are disappointed but we will get all the video we have online as soon as possible. When our crew gets back to Norfolk we will encode their raw footage, etc.

Give me goosebumps to watch this!
Can't even imagine what those little eagle brains are processing right now!!
My video froze on most of the releases. I am sure glad I will get to see video clips later!
I guess I could have gone in earlier to work after all! I guess I better get ready and head out now.
Looking forward to those videos later!!
Have a great day everyone! ♥
God speed to the eagles and thank you for those who facilitated this feed.
I will see you all later the afternoon. Have to go now...good sharing time with you.
Prayers for RED and thanks for the heads up LYNN.
have a good day Linda!
you too, Hoda!
Is the feed over? Did they release all 5 yet?
LOL Lynne, on the eagle brain comment!
Feed froze.. At least I got to see one fly free.. Off to town I go now.
NOT refreshing at all! Dare I do it myself?
Just to let everyone know that not all of the releases were seen on the site because of the feed but WVEC has said videos will be posted.
I think the feed is done, Lynn.
Here is first video:
2 releases
LOL Lynne, here's what someone said about eagle thinking...
[Comment From Becky from So. CA Becky from So. CA: ]
NV had to think....that's the biggest tub of water I've ever seen!
The video of the two being released was beautiful....the second one was like a fairy tale. cut and paste...sorry on my ipad:
http://www.wvec.com/my-city/norfolk/Big--126197853.html?mb
Oh, I meant to say, IRENE, I'm using that picture for my screen background right now. It works great for that, too.
Sorry Lynn got it to you... thanks Lynn. Wasn't that beautiful?
Hello everyone. What a beautiful day. No big that we couldn't see it now - what's important is they were released in a perfect setting that was best for them.
Good afternoon everyone.
Will watch for more videos.
Hi DI!
There were the triplets and two other juvies from VA that were all about the same age so they released all five of them today.
Kay, that's what I wish I could have heard. We see a lot of big birds flying above us. Since we're close to the river, thought some might be eagles.
BTW - You & Linda share your birthday with my #1 grandson, Jared.
Hi Lori, saw that I made the morning list. thanks!
Ed Clark at Mason Neck State Park.
Lori! More pix of your kitties, please.
Hi, Irene! How goes everything now? Any recompense from the movers?? Are you getting settled? When will Nikki's classes start?
Going to find something for lunch.
bbl
Happy laundering KAY! Great to see you again Early Bird DIANN!!!
MARGY I don't know if you were sleeping or working but I hope you're having a great day.
PAULA, as always thank you for narrating and providing info from the various sources as you do so well.
I was driving home wishing I had someone's phone # in my cell so they could narrate for me - little did I know that there wasn't much to see. My video was frozen and the sound only popped on for about 5 seconds every 10 or 15 minutes.
BUT...our babies are FREE!!!
I've had it on since 8:45 and much of the time had both the blog and the "release" screen up at
the same time.
LOL, Kay. Another spelling blooper. sorry.
Grandson is 21 living in Chesapeake, VA. He's a college student at Randolph-Macon and an Army Reservist.
Okay, I never did get lunch.
.... WALK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!!
bbl
It was 282 comments when I left this am for work now there are 482 I have almost 200 comments to read boy I will never get anything done when I get home tonight at 6 Home for lunch at 1 I went to facebook and so far no VIDEO of the release I am so surprised maybe not enough time has passed and they are still putting it together will check when I get home later
Lori, I think Margy went swimming with James!!
CAR SHOPPING SUCKS
LYNN thanks for posting the 2 release I just watch it to cool Love it and am crying also I love how the one flew way high up compared to the other one went for the trees THANK you I did post on facebook also
Lynn thanks for posting the video! AMAZING!!! Way more fun to watch than trying to find a car......
Hi, Gang,
Golly, after I got myself some breakfast, Emma and I fell back asleep!
But I do have a full basement, and I added the sunroom which gave me another 200+ sq. ft.
Lori, we don't care how ugly the vultures are looking in their current molt---we want to SEE!!!!!
Hey Lowreeda....thinking of You!! Having a Ledo's salad for lunch! How are your Ledo's guys???
Yes, Lori, we want to see the ewwwies in all their glory!
Lynne, have you tried autotrader.com ?
Youngest BWO chick fledged today.
And here are the winning names:
Harry, Ron and Hermione...don't know the significance!
Hmmm Lynn, there must be some significance...they usually pick "gender neutral" names. Volunteers, perhaps?
Here's the scoop...
BWO chicks
LYNN, we've both had some big adjustments to make in downsizing ! I'm really very happy with my little place, just wish there were two bathrooms !
Aha, I'd never have guessed how the BWO chicks were named since I'm not a Harry Potter fan. Clever.
LOL, Kay. I, too, wish I had a 2nd bathroom!
Okay---well, I know nothing about Harry Potter......JMHO tho' that it's probably meaningless to most.
Bad news: NX had to be taken back to the wild life center. She was the one with the transmitter and the one who just made the trees.
Later -
Getting ready to head out soon for puppy class. Gonna go ahead and log off....see you all later this evening.
P.S. Irene, know what you mean about culture shock! It was very hard on me when I came here 40 yrs. ago. And it was only 75 miles from home---the DC metro area!
NASA plans to de-orbit the ISS and sink it in the Pacific Ocean in 2020!!! I go this from CBS news.
What was wrong with NX???
All that work on the ISS and it's trash in 9 years???
Watched the video on fb of one of the NBG eaglets being released. Love that they are released but worry about them finding their own food.
We are having great weather but now having to keep an eye on the forcast...possible storms Friday. Would not mind if I knew the rain could reach home.
Jack just talked with the doctor. They are now ordering an MRI..said the x-rays showed degeneration and some slight narrowing.???? So, Monday he will talk with them about scheduling an MRI. He is really doing okay, his neck just gets tired.
Lolly, glad everyone is having a good time, and that Jack is feeling OK!! Have fun!!
Heading home, and then out to dinner with a friend....later!!
ONLY 225 comments in my mail box Better get reading I may not make it If I don't show up for some air call Margy she will send some help LOL
Kay, yes she fought when they were fitting her with the transmitter, they didn't think she would! She also was struggling when Steve L was holding her before she was released.
later!!
Link hope it works so you can read it:
Eagle sighted at Poor House Farm Park
IT WORKED!!
KAY I loved your song to cute!
and I love how you do laundry one and a time funny
RED Hope you feel better soon.
I just spoke to the man in the trunk of the tree Oh no I am in trouble LOL I sure hope that show up tonight I am kicking my butt for not getting up
the search is over! details to come....
LYNN LYNN LYNN....we just took the dogs out for a nice walk and hear the famous Yellow Billed Cuckoo for the first time this year!
Need to go help Steve with the mower...BBL
you must off got a another vehicle HUH?
LYNNE 2 and STEVE you must have gotten antoher car??/Hurrah. What colour and what model?
The moderated discussion at Norfolk has Mr. Clark and Amanda and they apparently have been subjected to some negative comments and they ae handling it with grace.
Evening all...be a bit since I've been on here instead of FB...been so busy
HODA-----no, no, no---not NASA...it's the Russian space agency that wants to sink ISS.
ISS
Lynne, glad you found a vehicle!
Poor NX.....hope she feels better quickly.
Lolly, the anrrowing is called stenosis. Unfortunately, it's part of aging...:( Really nothing that can be done for it. If the degeneration (DDD=degenerative disc disease) ) is impinging on the cord, then surgery may be necessary.
For those of you on face book go to the Shepherdstown page or mine or your news feed a 10 year old boy did three video of the eagles release I posted them from the Eagle addict page which came from WVC site
HERE IS A SHORT VIDEO OF NV CAPTURE AFTERWARDS NV CAPTURE
oops i put nv not nx sorry
Thanks for the correction LYNN. I must have misunderstood my first reading. Your article clearly says Russia.
The colors are fading from the nest

Goodnight, JudyE!
Stopping by to say good night. It was a good day. See you tomorrow. Rest well.
Update on my friend Connie!
The surgery went well, they got the tumor and good margins around it. The nodes they took all came back negative, which is good, too.
They're keeping her overnight because her bp is rather high and she has been really nauseous.
Thank you for your prayers and continued prayers that she is cancer free in the months to come!
One more post to say Good Night!
Wishing you all restful sleep and sweet dreams......
Saying prayers for the many needs and ailements in our group.
May God bless and protect us all and the critters we so dearly love! ♥♥♥
Hi Scott! Wow, slow blog this evening!
Mower is fixed!
Anyway, the car saga will be over in the morning THANK YOU JESUS!
oh Linda, great news about Connie!
Gotta do the do for appt. in AM. Isn't it nice they called today & left message to be 1/2 hr. early!! BOO
Saw Leona made an appearance and Red had been in hosp!Hope you are OK now!!
oh, the car is black, and has a sunroof!
Our car
Stevie Nicks performed this evening....she's aging along with the rest of us. Singing is okay---but not as good as she used to be.
OH! And I saw a Monarch at the car place....I've seen so few in this area this year so far. AND, a fledgling Grackle, AND....overhead, an OSPREY was flying!!!
and Paula, AutoTrader was where I found the car!
Lady Legacy Tribute of Memories 2 I thought this appropriate after todays event I found on youtube now nite nite time Cool beans that they made this
I think this is hilarious!
Pigeon Carrier
Pretty interesting about the Pepsi and Coke eating the steak away. I've heard many times over the years how drinking soda may be linked to Pancreatic cancer. No wonder....
Saw that on FB Judy, pretty cool!
Guess everyone is TVing or gone to bed, and I'm heading to bed myself. Picking up car in AM, work after that. Have a good night and prayers for all!
Hi, Everyone,
Checking in to say goodnight.
Cool pigeon story! SMART bird....he knows where the livin' is easy!
Hi and bye, Judie and Andy.
I am heading for bath and bed now, too.
Goodnight to all---including those who haven't checked in and out....JO, WANDA, DIANN, etc.!!!
Prayers...and peace.
I am popping in and out very quickly
as I am headed to bed after a very long
day with my daughter.. Everything is
great but I am so extra tired and
can't read back except to see that my
friends Lynn and Judie are right above me.
Good night and God's peace be with you
Prayers for all
Hugs for all ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lynne, car looks great! Sporty, black and a sunroof, whoo hoo! Congrats!
Love the carrier pigeon story, too.
and I think maybe Hoda, not sure who, posted the link to the birds made from paper...very nice work!
Linda, glad Connie had a good surgery outcome, hope she continues along that path!
I heard about the storm headed for TX, hope it brings much needed rain, but doesn't ruin Lolly's beach trip!
Hoda, found this in your paper, too
In praise of Beaks
Hope the publicity helps her get some donations to continue her good work.
I need help...can't find Lynne's new car??
I was able to watch some of the NBG Rock Star's release while putting on makeup...AWESOME!
Love you all! (((Hugs)))
Sweet dreams!
Just stopping by to wish everyone a good night.
I'm so tired and sleepy can hardly keep my eyes open.
Prayers for all needs and wants.
God bless you friends.
(((♥♥♥♥)))
LOLLY, Gene was stung by something in Florida (JudyE's territory) and his feet and ankles swelled quite a bit and was on fire for 3 days. Never did see what got him!
Glad your pain is easing up♥
Nite, Diann♥
Well, here I sit all alone, Gene is asleep (has to work tomorrow), Dustin had to go home (football stuff), nothing good on TV or facebook....guess I'll go to bed, too:)
GOODNIGH MY FRIENDS
SLEEP LIKE A BABY
PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL
Wishing JACK a speedy prognosis for his pain and discomfort~
GOOD MORNING EAGLE FAMILY!
Hello
Good Night?
Good Morning? LOL, guess it depends on who is reading!
Am very encouraged to read the report on Linda's friend Connie, and hope that all the follow-up reports are good.
And Jack, the results coming in for him, hope the treatment will be swift and restorative. Sorry to read of Lolly's tangle with the unidentified sea creature...either Man-o-war or Jellyfish, Yikes!
Lori
saw what I think were black vultures riding the thermals Wednesday afternoon,
a little more regal than the red-head turkey vulture, wasn't so sure they weren't eagles until I got out the binocs
Like the others here, I look forward to the pictures of your black vulture young'uns, homely or not ! Glad your Mom gets to see you this week-end ♥
Also Wednesday saw a monarch butterfly,
and heard a yellow-billed cuckoo, and dozens of katydids after dark
Kay, neat nickname for you:
Katydid
and
Lynne: Congrats that you and Steve found a car !
Have been enjoying some time with Grandson James,
he's asleep and I guess I should be too, so that's my next task after this post...
Prayers for wellness and healing,
and comfort of the spirit where it's needed
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Best of the morning to you Eagle Family.
TODAY'S OFFICIAL SUNRISE TIME IS: 6:05AM.
SUNSET WILL BE AT 8:23 THIS EVENING.
It's a little past 5:30 - so I'm hoping everyones alarms just went off, including Belle & Truders!
Perhaps more specific, I'm hoping alarms went off and all of you will be running into the SPCC, Sycamore Palace Cyber Cafe, very soon. ♥
La-dee-dah, dee dee dah la la. Oh sorry, just singing, humming to myself since I'm all alone here this morning. Woe is me. WHERE IS EVERYONE?
I guess it is inevitable that my sleep is going to be messed up for a while!
Hey DANA MO! Excited to be heading home to see your 4 legged babies? I know how much you miss them.
Color on our beautiful nest!
IIIIIIII"M home! LOL!
Good morning, Lori!
They are being really calm...I think they are confused!
Oh that's right - you wrote from the airport yesterday morning. Sorry. DUH! So, how are the dogs?
Calm and confused, but you think they were just so spoiled while you were gone they miss their sitter? Nah. They love their mommy.
JUDYE, I know you're sleeping in getting ready for your big day with Jordyn, but I JUST SAW AN ANT on a LEAF above the next!
Boomer is not leaving my side, but he is just sitting like a good boy. Not sure what that means!
It means he loves you, missed you and is going to make sure he gets to go with you if you try to leave his sight again!
LOL! Thanks Lori, I think he is just tired because he was up at 2:00 this morning and then back up again at 5:30! But who knows I like you answer better!
Good morning eagle momsters and dadsters.
Have there been any sightings this morning?
Good Morning THELMA.
Not so much as a feather within a hundred feet of the nest all morning.
How are you? What's up for you today?
Forgive me, I did see an ant on a leaf that's blocking the view of the nest. That's it.
Good morning,
Another hot day. Take care.
Good morning eagle buds that are at SPCC no visit today again so now I don't feel so bad sleeping in getting ready to head out the door to get Jorydn
