Wanda

You Got #400 WAX

hedgie said...

What has, Wanda? Typos???? Ha! I blame it on long fingernails, small keyboard (laptop), and a brain that goes faster than fingers!!!!

Costume Lady said...

Ha, Ha, Ha...Lynn, my fingers go 75MPH and my brain goies 45 MPH! I often type things that my brain has not told me to yet:)

Costume Lady said...

Dana, time sure must be moving slowly for you. I thought you would be all healed by now. Sorry it's taking so long. How does it feel, besides the headaches. Could you be using your eyes too much? Need more Panda naps:)

Mema Jo said...

Let's just say I'm glad I have that red underline appear when I do have typos! And also my brain does go dead at times! lol

Costume Lady said...

The only way I can check my spelling is in composing email.
My spelling has gotten terrible over the years.

Mema Jo said...

Just made Dr appointment for 3:30
I just don't think it is the Ragweed
causing my head cold symptoms and coughing. Will more than likely get started on an antibiotic......
I'll let you know.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good afternoon my friends of fine feathers and fur! Have a lovely breeze coming through the window right now and have a little pathology to type. Do I need to start proofreading again around here?

Mema Jo said...

Suzanne said she was going home that it was like a ghost town at work because so many went over to the Pentagon for a program. She got the b-day cards and said Thanks and that she was going to have a good day tomorrow.

Mema Jo said...

That may be helpful Sharon - BUT you know we can read anything - even if it is misspelled!

hedgie said...

First FL Shuttle landing time has been waived off. 2nd opportunity landing time is 8:40..........depending on weather.

hedgie said...

Rgt, Jo....we dnt nd hlf the ltrs to kn wht a wrd is spsd to be!!!
Dana, when do you get your new glasses? That is probably what is causing your headaches!! Using a prescription that is no longer correct can make your eyes go funny!!!!

Costume Lady said...

Do you all remember the time that Candy wrote a whole paragraph with he fingers on the wrong keys! That was a hoot and I don't think she ever did realize she had done that, so we didn't ever find out what she was telling us:) LOL

wvgal_dana said...

Mema Jo I just loved the last part of your comment
at 1:44 tee hee..
Prayers that your Dr. visit turns out good and he helps you FAST!!! I worry if I hear Ed cough. You two have so many prayers from me..I believe all I have to do if say
"God Ed and Mema Jo" and HE knows right away.

hedgie said...

Didn't realize that you were having those symptoms again, Jo. Glad you are getting to the Dr. before the weekend sets in. Just hope he doesn't put you back on the Pred.! I've been clogged up, too, but just in my nose---no other symptoms. Think I just have done too much crying the last few days--we've had a lot of things to cry about!

First Landing Opportunity Waved Off
Fri, 11 Sep 2009 04:56:07 PM UTC-0100

The weather forecast is "no go" today for Friday’s first landing opportunity at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. If the weather cooperates for the second Kennedy landing opportunity, the deorbit burn would occur at 6:17 p.m. EDT, with landing at 7:23 p.m.

hedgie said...

Wnada, I don't remember that---must have been before my time here! Candy might have been typing in the dark! I can never get it right when I do that!

Landing Delayed until Second Opportunity

Weather conditions forced flight controllers to pass on STS-128’s first landing opportunity at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The second Florida landing window begins with a deorbit burn at 6:17 p.m. EDT and ends with a landing at 7:23 p.m.

The first landing opportunity in California has a deorbit burn time of 7:47 p.m. with landing at 8:53 p.m. The second opportunity would start with a deorbit burn at 9:23 p.m. and end with a landing at 10:28 p.m.

A landing today will complete a two-week flight for Commander Rick Sturckow, Pilot Kevin Ford, and mission specialists Pat Forrester, Jose Hernandez, Danny Olivas and Christer Fuglesang. Today is the 58th day in space for their crewmate Tim Kopra, who launched on shuttle mission STS-127 in July and spent two months on the International Space Station as an Expedition 20 crew member.

Hi, gang, I'm back for a bit. Need an Anatomy question answered, if anyone knows for sure. Is the Patella considered to be a short bone, a flat bone, or an irregular bone? Two of my books don't say--they just call it a sesamoid bone, and leave it at that! Trouble is, the teacher doesn't use the book when he makes up questions on the homework! Yikes!

hedgie said...

Mits, my email from NASA says:

First Landing Opportunity Waved Off
Thu, 10 Sep 2009 16:25:38 -0500

The weather forecast is "no go" today for the first landing opportunity at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. If the weather cooperates for the second Kennedy landing opportunity tonight, the deorbit burn would occur at 7:35 p.m. EDT with landing at 8:40 p.m.

Mits said...

I don't get the emails Lynn, I just go straight to their site and get the lastest info

Mema Jo said...

Lots of luck finding the answer Andrea

I just know that if my patella wasn't working I wouldn't be able to stretch my legs! In fact when I broke my Femur I think now there are some screws in my Patella!
lol(lots of luck)

Mema Jo said...

I hope the weather doesn't dampen the attendance for Paula's reunion down at OC.

Mema Jo said...

I'll touch base when I get back from Dr

Raining steadily now....
The little hummer was here earlier....

BBL

Ms Bookworm said...

Thanks, Jo,
I'm sure glad your patella works!
That must've been some surgery to get those screws in there! Tell you what--ask your Dr. my question! Talk to you later....Hope the appointment goes extremely well!

hedgie said...

Andrea, I THINK it's a flat bone! Let me see if I can find out!

hedgie said...

Andy, flat triangular sesamoid!

Costume Lady said...

My Patella is Flat...Flat out not working!

wvgal_dana said...

LYNN YOU HAVE MAIL

Also I do believe your right Lynn it is my glasses but can't get checked till Sept.29th for reading glasses.
Picked up some a dollar store like everyone told me but still get headaches when read.

Going to take panda nap

hedgie said...

LOL, Wanda! Of course it's working! It's protecting the tendons and the heads of the femur and tibia! That's it's main job!! Most trouble occurs in the meniscus and the bursa behind the kneecap!!

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, is it my patella that the doctor goes directly below to give me my "New Knee" shot?

Judie said...

Back again.

Dana, hope you get over the headacehs. Maybe resting your eyes for awhile every now and then would help.

Foam rubber donuts? Yikes!

Lynn, hope things get better for you.

Andrea, good luck with the test.

Diego's second exam was cool -- loved the milk mustache.

Laundry almost done now. Trying to catch up on some school work.

Jo, good luck with the doctor.

Hummers fooled me. Saw two at the Salvia about an hour ago. Thought they had taken off.

Judie

Judie said...

Andrea, google says patella is flat triangular

Judie

hedgie said...

Yep, Judie, that's what told Andy, too!

Wanda, I guess he must be going under but then up---I've never seen it done that way---always from the sides!!! Is he using Synvisc or just cortisone??

Costume Lady said...

I think, Corisone. Due for another shot next week:) Yipee!

Costume Lady said...

I think it might even be cortisone!

hedgie said...

LOL! You ask about the possibility of Synvisc! Synvisc is injected directly into the knee joint to restore the cushioning and lubricating properties of normal joint fluid. Synvisc injections are approved for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee; given in 3 injections 7 days apart.

Paula arrived in Ocean City, said to say high to everyone, sun is starting to peek out for the first time since last Sunday

Lolly said...

Hi all! Back from being a grandparent. First we went to Jacob's school. They asked for a volunteer to read...guess who's hand shot up first!! Then they asked for a Grandpa...and guess who read that book! lol

Then we went to KFC to get our meals for ourselves and Joseph. We ate in his classroon with him. More fun!

We are now home and I have time to get some things done. Think I will start loading the trailer. Jack has a teleconference in a few minutes, but I saw him loading wine and beer. He is ready to go!

Lolly said...

I certainly hope ths sun does shine on Paula this weekend. She certainly deserves a fun weekend.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

The patella is a flat triangular bone.

Judie said...

Quck visit.

Glad Paula arrived safely and, even if the sun don't shine, she has a really, really nice weekend to relax.

Lolly, you and Jack must be among the very vest. Have fun!

Hi family, how are things going? Whats wrong with Dana? Is she ok?

Mema Jo said...

Hi Anne Marie - Dana is ok but has had the 2nd cataract removed and her eyes are a little strained but won't be examined for new glasses until 9/26.

Mema Jo said...

I'm keeping my eyes on the NASA TV
to be sure I see our shuttle safely land.

Mema Jo said...

Weather has moved the landing out your way at Edwards AFB.

Anne-Marie said...

thanks Jo, you guy need to stay healthy. One sicky in the bunch is enough and I'm getting better every day

Mema Jo said...

And I am very very happy to hear you say that!

Anne-Marie said...

Its 100 here today and its hard to breath. No one in their right mind wants to be in Edwards AFB in the middle of the desert.Just think how hot it is there.

Anne-Marie said...

the one nice thing about this surgery is that I have lost weight. Nothing fits but I dont care. Now I have to keep it off.!

Mema Jo said...

I am sending you an email with the
info you requested.....
Hooray for Bill!!!

Anne-Marie said...

thanks Jo, we will work it out. He is the best brother ever.

Anne-Marie said...

I haven't talked to Wanda, is she getting ready for the Halloween rush?

Mema Jo said...

She has been spending lots of time getting the shop ready. Gene couldn't help recently due to a bout with the gout! Wanda missed not having his help.

hedgie said...

What???WHat??? Is bro Bill going to get A-M here for Open House, by hook or by crook????

Anne-Marie said...

I have a friend with gout problems and he has cured it with cherries and cherry pills at the health food store. His doctor is really surprised.

wvgal_dana said...

Hi Anne sounds like your getting better and better lady.

I bet it's hot in the desert. I'm sure desert being hot
they don't care about they just want that shuttle safe
at home here.

Took panda nap woke up felt terrible. Took my blood sugar
it was 37 yikes!!!! Yes I ate breakfast, my little snack,
lunch, my little snack and don't know what happened in
my sleep.

Wanda's been working a lot in the shop getting ready for Halloween.

Mema Jo said...

What is that favorite gd of yours doing now? We all were so lucky to have met her. Tell her I said Hello and hope all is well........

Lolly said...

Anne Marie, how much have you lost.? I went to put on capris that I have not worn since last fall. First pair I absolutely could not wear, they would fall off. Second pair I wore today, but they are baggy! I figured that was going to be my problem, good, but a problem!

Anne-Marie said...

No Hedgie I cant make it on the 17 . but he is going to stop by for the day before that day so I can at least have lunch with those that can come. I need to be thankful for that. I thought about taking a bus from his house to the open house but it was too long and too expensive.

Mema Jo said...

I hope the day soon comes that my pants won't stay up on my hips!
I guess I am just glad to be breathing and won't ponder too much on any weight loss at this time.

wvgal_dana said...

Sorry I'm trying to get use to these glasses. They belong to Ed's cousin, she left them here. They are better than mine for reading. Maybe not good for typing lol

hedgie said...

Well, A-M, that is certainly better than not seeing you at all!!! Do you know yet what day it will be????

wvgal_dana said...

Put my capris on one day while I was going to Wellness Center. It was nice to have them too big. Now since not going they are snug. :(

Anne-Marie said...

Hi Dana and Lolly too. pants are falling off too and people frown against that. It just isnt excepted in nice company. Jo I took Diana to the lab for blood test today. she is breaking out in hives and they dont know why. She stated she wanted to go with me on vacation.... She cant because of work. she says its no fun being a grown up...:)

Lolly said...

Jacob's birthday cake is in the oven. Will decorate it tomorrow. Designed the shape today. It is going to be a rocket. It will have two port holes and Jacob will be looking out of both windows. I got a picture this week with his starwars costume on and one with his helmet. I have printed them and taped them to protect from the icing, It is going to be blue, white and orange. This was his choice! Candle will be the flames out of the back of the rocket. I think this is going to work!

Anne-Marie said...

Dont know what day it will be. Bill said we would work it out when I get to his house. I will let you know as soon as I can.

Anne-Marie said...

Lolly that sounds like a great birthday...

Lolly said...

He wanted a "rocket" birthday. He is going to have it! Laurel found a rocket pinata as well.

Lolly said...

Will take a picture tomorrow. I think it is going to be really cute. I looked at pictures on line, but decided to design my own. I love doing this, but I am so glad when I am through and it turns out okay.

Well, fine friends, I am going to say goodnight. Tub and book are calling. Talk to you in the morning. Blessings and peace......God Bless the USA.

Hi, everybody.

The boy baby Panda is alone on cam again. More and more frequently now, as I commented earlier.

Well, I checked for a new exam today, and I found there are two new blog entries (1 exam) in the last couple of days.

Also there's at least one new Channel Island Report posted...

Happy reading.....

Speaking of reading, I visited the momsters site last evening to do some checking of the email there, and to my horror I found like 1500 emails!

I wound up deleting them all, but it must have taken a half hour...25 at a time. Wish they had a 'delete as many as you select' feature.

How's your email doing over there??
