We have a nice eveining at GeeGee's...chicken on the menu again along with bisquits, mac and cheese and salad. Tonight, there were a lot of G&T's, Eagle Talons and Poop Shooters going around. All 5 of us had a bad week, except Dustin (he's really liking High School). Half way through dinner, GeeGee said "hey, did anyone fix me something to drink?"...she had a bad week too. Tee Hee Anyway, we brought Dustin home with us for the weekend. He asked me if he could mow the lawn tomorrow...HOORAY!! Hope it doesn't rain all day!
Good Night, All. I'm just getting in from a very nice laughter-filled evening with my grandson. Haven't read the 200+ posts since I checked out earlier, so that comes next. I'm going to be up for awhile nightowling it, just wanted to pass along some Good Nights to whoever might be heading for the pillows soon.
No Friday Thread...but we all know for sure it was Friday. Hope this means Steve has been doing something besides working today, maybe a nice three-day week-end for him. Sounds like a good end-of-the-week gathering for Wanda and Family, love the comment from GeeGee...
Jim I had to do the same thing a few months ago but I only had about 800 that had piled up and I had never saved to folders or deleted...25 at a time does indeed take awhile.
I'm very pleased to see that Discovery landed safely... Prayers of thanks for that, and God Bless Us, Every One at the end of this momentous and emotional day. ♥
Okay, all caught up I think. I am going to eat like a horse from now until Open House so I don't embarass myself. I have small, medium, and large sized clothes so I should "fit" right in. But my Bib Overalls are guaranteed to pretty much "cover" all situations.... ☺
Hi, I'm finally home from school--this late Friday night class is wearing me out!! Thanks to everyone for the answer to my patella question. I read it, but didn't have time to comment before I ran out the door. Barely got to class in time, with something going on at both the Honda Center AND the Angel stadium! Freeway was CRAZY for the first 3 miles or so! Think I did a little better on tonight's test--but it WAS a DOOZIE!!! My brain is plumb wore out! Got a LOT to study for next week, too--we're studying muscles now, and there's 640 of them! Too tired to even think about it tonight... Tomorrow is another day! So happy to hear that the Shuttle landed OK! Always worry about them. Wish I could say my pants won't stay up, but need to diet instead. Gotta lose about 10 pounds! Sure wish I could come to the Open House, but with school AND being financially challenged, so to speak, there's just no way. DRAT!!! Sure would love the opportunity to meet all of you!
Well, I'm so tired I'm about to do a face plant. Think I'll call it a day. Will be back tomorrow to talk to all of you. Prayers being said for all of us. Sweet eagle dreams, everyone! G'night!
Just viewed some of the NASA highlights of the STS-128 Mission...including the initial liftoff two weeks ago, the undocking from ISS, some fancy smorgasobording, and the landing. Really beautiful, and how special that this landing occurred successfully on such an important day as September 11.
I might not be able to listen to our nest or YouTubes right now, but I sure am happy I can get NASA-TV...☺
Well, my nightowling has come to an end. All of 206 bones, and my 640 muscles, are ready for some horitzontal time, as are my digestive, respiratory, circulatory, integumentary and neurological systems, and then some. I have been checking to see if that juvenile Sea Eagle was going to make another appearance, with no success, but it is a pretty sky in Finney's Nest site
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---MORNIN' SHARON! and CONGRATS! You are----Our #1 EAGLE MOM today & every day!---OH YEAH!---Looks like BELLE on the nest this am!!!! LIFE IS GOOD!
They are both gone now. I may be wrong, but I don't recall them coming so often (almost a regular basis) last year. The best thing about them visiting regularly, tells us that they like it there and are getting started on their housecleaning in preparation for a new familly. I so hope that they have 3 fuzzballs this time. I hope there will be no hunting in January to upset Belle. She needs to feel safe and secure at all times, but especially when she is about to lay an egg! OH, NO, Mr. Bill, let's not go there now!
It is a grey, 61° here this morning. Hope the sun comes out and dries my grass...Dustin has volunteered to mow! Thank you Jesus! With Gene's foot at about 75% and me getting the shop ready and orders in, I just don't have time. God is good! DUSTIN'S DA MAN...err, DA KID:)
Good morning! I see that Belle made a nest visit earlier this morning. It is a beautiful, sunny day here this morning. My bird feeder is empty again, so I will venture out and put in more seeds. Birdies are checking and flying away.
All of the thistle seeds are gone. I have no more of those. Had planned to get more when I went out Labor Day, but the furniture shopping took so long I did not go anywhere else.
Morning, Shirley! THink Wanda disappeared. Her shop is basically only opened for a month or so before Halloween, except by apptmt. at other times. It is in a seperate bldg. from her house, but she doesn't have to leave home to go to work!! You sure didn't sleep very late!!
Went to bed fairly early. George thinks I should be up by 6:00, and I slept past that. I was up at 5:00 yesterday, so it still felt good.
I am bugging Suzi about her plans for the open house weekend. I know she is hesitating to ask off for the weekend because she just started that job. I told her to tell them that her mom requests her presence. She took the job because they recruited her, so I think they will be okay with it.
Kathryn is going to take Hunter out of school early. I think it is a worthwhile experience for him.
I am proud of Suzi. She has worked her way up to store manager as she is working her way through college. She stays very busy, but she is an animal lover and I know she would love this trip.
She wants to come down to F'burg so we can all travel together.
I have to go get more finch seeds. They are looking for their breakfast, and it is not there! Also have to get George's medications. So many critters to look out for.
You can really tell it is Autumn approaching in Shepherdstown, love those leaves in the nest...and didn't the Royal Pair do a great job uprooting the resident tree ?
I checked my photos from last year, I was getting some captures of both at this time of year, most of mine were early morning shots.
Thanks HEDGIE---I picked up a couple Martinsburg papers this am--It may sound silly--but I could finally mourn for her---even though her memorial isn't planned as yet----NANCY was a dear dear friend---
Sissy : You'll like this. I took my grandson to the public library yesterday evening. He wanted a book that had things about platypus, wolverine, and rhinoceros. He got that, THEN he picked out a book he said he knew I would like: A book about PANDAS ☺
I have a feeling that when Jo's email came through that it had Delphia's name on the same line as Suz's and the date maybe fell to the next line and I missed it! Sometimes emails do not come through as typed!!!
Margy, no personal loss here....she was friend of Norma's---I was just keeping watch for her for the obit. Christie knew her from church but I don't recall ever meeting her. Sounds like she was quite a lady. Heartfelt sympathies to Norma and to Nancy's family.
Just went in Mattie's room. She had a friend spend the night last night, stayed up most of the night. They drew barb wire tattoos on each other's upper arms!! Lord have mercy, I hope that is not a sign of things to come!!! ROFLMBO!!
Hope you are right about the weather, Margy....I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....last nights' weather report said late showers for today, and the national map this am showed whole northeast part of map under raindrops!!!
I have gnats terrible in the house. There is no food out anywhere. They are even in the bathroom. Read online to use vinegar and dish detergent and they would come to it. So far there have been a few but Lord, I have never had this before. Nasty little buggars!!
On 9/11/01 . . . Will was standing near an open window in his apartment when he heard a loud explosion and felt a blast of air come in the window, then he heard sirens, which is when he turned on the television for the first time.
He and Rus were sharing an apartment then. They said they had never heard so many sirens in their lives. They went out on the streets where they could see and smell the smoke from the Pentagon. People were out there, and were spooked when a plane flew over. Rus said it was the first time he had ever seen people run in fear of their lives, but he knew it was one of our military planes.
Rus had just interviewed for a job in the part of the Pentagon that was hit, but didn't get that job. He did end up volunteering as a ham radio operator at the Pentagon.
When they were working on the clean-up, Kathryn and I were out on I-95 one day when a convoy of trash trucks went south down the highway. The smell of smoke was overwhelming, even though we were in a closed car.
Yes it was Shirley. I remember it like it was yesterday. That is the first time in my life I had been afraid in that way. I watched it last night on the History Channel and cried. What a terrible terrible time. I feel the media focuses too much on New York and not enough on the Pentagon and Pennsylvania. That tragedy will certainly never be forgotten, I pray!!
Phone communication was difficult. Kathryn got in touch with her brothers and passed on the info to me. I finally got in touch by e-mail. I still have the messages we sent.
Lynn and Norma You can appreciate this from this old clunker with clunker eyes, I read Norma's message as being from Hedgie.... Norma... I send my prayers for comfort in the loss of your friend... ♥ Thanks, Lynn, for getting me back on track.
I was at school, trying to manage ninth graders, some of whom had parents or other relatives at the Pentagon. Many parents came and picked up their kids early from school that day.
Oh, Shirley, that was surely terrifying for them and you. Thank goodness he hadn't gotten that job. I take it their aptmt. was in Arlington. Agree, Sissy.......even tho' NY was truly awful, there's just something near and dear and patriotic about the Pentagon. And Shanksville showed the true inate heroism of American citizens.
I, too, have been battling gnats something fierce. Don't understand it, either....no fruit, etc. It's been going on for 6 wks. Driving me nuts! Vinegar and detergent caught a lot at first, but they either got wise or maybe just too many! I have killed so many here at the table just by smacking. If I try to take a sofa nap, they come to my face! I probably need to set off bombs, but that means taking the dog and leaving for hours, and still coming back to the fumes which kill my lungs........BUT....fingers crossed....only saw a couple yesterday and so far none today! vinegar disg has been completely empty of any for three days.......so am HOPING that they have completed a full cycle of life!!!
Good morning! Guess what....it rained all night and it continues to sprinkle. Rain is expected all day and tomorrow. Whoopee! This is sooooo needed! PTL
Wish I could bring my boys to open house. They would love the activities, especially Joseph who is 8. However, can not take them out of school to travel that far during the school year. Shirley, your grandson will love it!
Kathryn works near Quantico, so she spent the day looking at military planes fly over. Sometime later, we were in a Target store when the air conditioning system kicked on with a roar. The sound spooked both of us. It took awhile to calm down.
Lynn, thanks again for letting me have "FireFight" for as long as it took me to read it, which was the account of the Pentagon tragedy. I appreciated the situation so much better after reading that.
Some of you will remember this, and for the new Momsters I am sure Paula will not mind my sharing this. Her former husband, Rob Compton, who has since died from Cancer several months ago, was with Woodsboro Fire Department in Maryland, they had an old ladder truck which was able to squeeze through one of the "breezeways" to get into the courtyard to do battle on some of the fire that no other trucks could get to. They got the call late on the first night to help out, and away they went. I'm going to search my favorites and might be able to post a link for some of that.
We Frank and I moved to Va. I worked at the pentagon before starting college. Worked in the area that was destroyed. Scary.
Diego struggled for about ten minutes to turn over and wanted to just reach in and give him a tiny nudge. He was surely making his displeasue known. Finally, mom returned.
Right, Margy. And another firefighter mentioned in that book--from an Arlington station, I think---lives in CharlesTown area and my SIL worked volunteer FF with him there.
Yesterday while out I had a view of the most beautiful Great Blue Heron - ever! Out on a back road on a pond near a little community called "Tomahawk." Guess who did not have her camera with her! I had realized I had forgotten it two blocks after leaving home, but had another little Polaroid digital that I am test driving for the grandson...but it surely did not have adequate zooooooom. So I might go try to find that bird again....
PS - I asked my grandson if anything had been mentioned in his school yesterday about what happened on 9/11 - no mention of it. So I gave him a short history lesson, and especially told him about the heroes on that plane that went down in Shanksville. Told him about the phrase: "Let's Roll! "
And for all the educators, moms and grandmoms and aunts on here: James was so delighted to go to the Public Library! Made my day - and His !
And, I have to tell you, that I think it is a shame that nothing is mentioned about the significance of that day in our schools. I told Tom last night, that piece that was on the History Channel should be shown in every school in America on 9/11. WE MUST NEVER FORGET!!!!
I watched the OK TRAGEDY--Then 9/11--I was at work--atty came flying in & began to tell us what was HAPPENING----I just kept ignoring what she was saying---Even turned on radio---I still wouldn't believe it---THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN IN US---at lunch time--went home & saw it happening---It was like watching a movie--Doesn't happen here--etc--etc!!!---WELL IT DID!! OUR WHOLE WORLD WOKE UP!!--
Good Afternoon... I've heard from Helen and lots of people on the boardwalk last eve with no rain. Thursday I think is when the Coastal Hghwy flooded a bit.
I hate working on the weekend but it is certainly to have time to visit with ya'll. Weekend work is not as stressful. Can kinda do it as I feel like it.
Captured a picture of the halo. I think someone, probably Loretta, has already put one on her blog. Very nice.
Got a phone call from the furniture guy. The coffee table is not being built anymore, but he is willing to sell me the display model if I am willing to take the two end tables. I had decided I wanted those end tables anyway, but just told him I might want them, and I would come in to talk with him. I will wait a little while. Do not want to be too eager. It's a game.
Jo, the flamingos were at the train station in Martinsburg, I think I have pictures of others in the area reference the CASA fundraiser, but I have so many pictures floating around I cannot figure where some of them are!!
WVU plays EAST CAROLINA at 3:30 today----can't find if it's televised----I found a WV METRO RADIO STATION & I have listened to at least 10 renditions of 'COUNTRY ROADS'!---COOL!---I have been singing along with them--& that is NOT A GOOD THING!!---ho!---(takes so little to make me happy)!!
I know that SuzaNNE won't see this here on the blog but just had to wish her a special day tomorrow. On Friday through an email she knows that we are thinking of her.
I think he is a pretty slick salesman. I have to think for a little while. They work entirely on commission.
I had wanted a mattress. If he thinks I might come back later, that might help, but I don't want to have him try to talk me into buying a mattress right now. I have another option on that. Suzi's new job gives me an option of getting a mattress through her employee discount at another store. He is already getting a lot out of me.
Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone! Finally have a chance to say hi; have been reading and trying desperately to catch up here. Boy, we are a talkative bunch, aren't we?! We've done a LOT of talking lately. (That's a GOOD thing!) I have SO MUCH to accomplish today, and I slept in till 7:30, which cut out about 5 hours of my usual day. (Usually up at 2:30am!) There are pages and pages of Anatomy homework to do--mostly online, since teacher doesn't use our Anatomy book to do the questions in it. Have about 5 websites to go to for answers. Also must send out at least 3 resumes, document where sent, and mail that info to the EDD so I get an unemployment check in time to pay bills. Have to babysit SIL & BIL's 2 bulldogs this weekend, too. She's going this a.m. to pick up little Jake's ashes. We still miss that little pup! He was so special... I've GOT to get some housework done, or it will soon require a bulldozer to clean things up! No time to do so with so much homework. At least we can still get from point A to point B without tripping over stuff! Gotta de-clutter, though. I'm considering planting potatoes on top of the entertainment center. Need to eat more veggies anyway. Oh, before I forget:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUZANNE!!! Hope it's a perfect day for you!
With SO much to accomplish, and Hubby underfoot, may not be able to chat much today. Prayers are being said for everyone, and hope you all have a GREAT Saturday! Will be back later, if at all possible. Take care! :o]
Oops--almost forgot to mention: Have had gnats infesting the houseplants' dirt before. Might want to check that. Can spray with a gentle insecticide, or with dish detergent in water to get rid of them. Had a major infestation like that at my last job; inhaled them every so often when on the phone with a customer! NOT good! Coughed up a lung, with customer panicked and asking if they should dial 9-1-1! HATE those little critters!
LOL I remember a time when my grandfather poured buttermilk on his cereal. My grandparents were at our house babysitting. This is a very early memory. We must have laughed a lot and imprinted in on my little brain.
Margy, thanks for the article on the firetruck. Jack and I both read it.
Cake is half way done. Taking a break, but time to go back now.
I may as well repeat my 9-11 story of what seems like yesterday when I think of it...... Daughter's home office was in Baltimore but she had to take train to NY for a day or two to that office which was directly across the street from the World Trade Center. I was at work when some of the employees with earphones were standing up reporting what they were hearing. Bad thing was that I didn't know if this was a NY office day or not. I hit the phone to the Baltimore phone # praying so hard to hear her voice - And I Did! She had canceled her trip that day but was on the phone trying to get her people replaced out of that office. Most of them begged her to get them out of the city. She helped them and I just said prayers of thankfulness for her life not being taken.
She also was blessed when the Metro train wreck occurred recently. That was her regular train but she decided to work late. Angel over my shoulder! This is SSG Ryan's Mom.
Lots of "very lucky people" stories on here about 9/11. Glad to hear them. Andy...no house plants here---I do not have a green thumb! buttermilk on cereal would be very awful...phew! But can remember my girls putting choc. milk on cocoa puffs more than once! Maybe Suz got herself a new puter for her birthday---I saw, too, that she was on FB this morning. But do think she would have blogged if that were the case! Gotta finish getitng ready to head out for Pickin' in the Panhandle. Can't wait to hear/see "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" live and in person!! May be on late this evening...if not, see all y'all in the morning. Have a good afternoon/evening/night.
That is what I am trying to work out, Jo. It is not easy to get all of us together. Right now, Kathryn and Hunter are onboard to be there. I am waiting to hear from Suzi. I had thought she would drive there and meet us, but she wants to come down here and ride with us so we can spend the travel time together.
And have fun Jo - - - like I need to tell ANYONE to have fun with their granchildren, it's a Given! Thank God for the Blessings the Angel has brought for family's safety .
Hello Dana, Shirley, Lolly, Anne-Marie, Judie, Andrea...and everyone to follow and anyone I missed...
I know that Paula would be very proud and touched that you folks are sharing the Fire Truck story....♥
TTFN things to take care of away from home here soon.

Great Stuff, having a Birthday on a day off work ☺

The play-by-play action of the Shuttle Landing was thrilling!
I think I will try to catch some of the replays if it is not too late to try that.
Tubby time, back in a little while to check on any night-owling on here.
I see many want the all-body shot, just as we all wanted the All-body Hormone Powder not too long ago ☺

Here's a little news about the Dunedin Florida Osprey Cam...
from the Puleston site

Looks like Belle is in the nest!
I am heading out to a 7 a.m. meeting. Will BBIALW!
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---MORNIN' SHARON! and CONGRATS! You are----Our #1 EAGLE MOM today & every day!---OH YEAH!---Looks like BELLE on the nest this am!!!!
LIFE IS GOOD!
GOOD MORNING, WHAT A WAY TO START THE DAY...Lib and Belle visiting:)
Only thing better would be to have them on LIVE CAM and to have a NEW THREAD.
They are both gone now. I may be wrong, but I don't recall them coming so often (almost a regular basis) last year. The best thing about them visiting regularly, tells us that they like it there and are getting started on their housecleaning in preparation for a new familly. What I meant to say, was that I don't recall them coming so often SO EARLY last year:)
It is a grey, 61° here this morning. Hope the sun comes out and dries my grass...Dustin has volunteered to mow! Thank you Jesus!
With Gene's foot at about 75% and me getting the shop ready and orders in, I just don't have time.

Wanda, do you have pictures of your costumes shop? Is this something you do all year, or at Halloween?
I hope Gene is feeling better today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUZANNE,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DELPHIA,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Morning, Lynn.
Happy birthday to Delphia and Suzanne.
Morning, Shirley! THink Wanda disappeared. Her shop is basically only opened for a month or so before Halloween, except by apptmt. at other times. It is in a seperate bldg. from her house, but she doesn't have to leave home to go to work!!

Kathryn is going to take Hunter out of school early. I think it is a worthwhile experience for him.
Definitely an educational experience for Hunter!!! And I agree....if Suzi was headhunted, then they need to keep the pot sweet!!
I am proud of Suzi. She has worked her way up to store manager as she is working her way through college. She stays very busy, but she is an animal lover and I know she would love this trip.
She wants to come down to F'burg so we can all travel together.

Norma, Nancy's obit is up, as well as in paper:
Obituary
You can print it out. I can send you the paper clipping if you want me to.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR SUZANNE!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
AND MANY, MANY, MANY MORE!!!!
HAPPY--HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL SUZANNE!!---'GYPSY and all her HOUSE MATES' ARE WISHING YOU A HAPPY YEAR TOO!!
It's not Delphia's birthday is it? I thought it was 9/21?
Oh---I thought Jo had it listed on the 12th.....gotta see if I can find her email!
Nope, too old...not in trash folder anymore.....well, apologies if I got it wrong!!
Early birthday wishes are not so bad.
On Facebook, Lynn, it says 9/21. Maybe you were having a dyslexic moment?? Good morning to ya, by the way!
Right, can never have too many birthday wishes!!!
I just checked, Bird Girl's / Delphia's is Sept 21 - -
I managed to created a Birthday Alert folder in my E-M program...
Good Morning Eagle Pals ☺
At least you're keeping us on our toes, Lynn ! ☺
Looks like you are going to have perfect weather for Pickin' in the Panhandle...really excited for you, Lynn...
You can really tell it is Autumn approaching in Shepherdstown, love those leaves in the nest...and didn't the Royal Pair do a great job uprooting the resident tree ?
I checked my photos from last year, I was getting some captures of both at this time of year, most of mine were early morning shots.
I do not like working on a Saturday morning, let me tell ya!!!
Thanks HEDGIE---I picked up a couple Martinsburg papers this am--It may sound silly--but I could finally mourn for her---even though her memorial isn't planned as yet----NANCY was a dear dear friend---
Hey there Sissy I'd offer to have you farm some of the transcribing over this way but you would probably lose your job.
I work every other Saturday, and the opposite one is usually "fragile" because we are more or less on call...
When I grow up I want to be retired.
Hope it goes fast for you!
Lynn
Sharing your sadness over the loss of a loved one....Heaven has really increased its population with special people this year...
TFFN back in a little while.

Diego is all alone!!
He is getting more mobile every day. Did ya'll see the video of his second exam? He is a roly poly little thing!
Sissy :

I took my grandson to the public library yesterday evening.
He wanted a book that had things about platypus, wolverine, and rhinoceros. He got that, THEN he picked out a book he said he knew I would like: A book about PANDAS
☺
Absolutely!! What is NOT to love about a panda! Most beautiful creatures (except Eagles of course) on God's great earth!!
Such a lovely view of Diego. Thanks for the alert, Sissy.
Diego still alone. Moving around and kicking. Cute little baby.
It has clouded up here. It was a beautiful sunny morning earlier.
We have the most beautiful blue sky ever. Reminds me exactly of the sky the day of 9/11.
I have gnats terrible in the house. There is no food out anywhere. They are even in the bathroom. Read online to use vinegar and dish detergent and they would come to it. So far there have been a few but Lord, I have never had this before. Nasty little buggars!!
HEDGIE---I heard the same weather report as you---We are celebrating our 'HAMPSHIRE HERTIAGE WEEKEND' this weekend!----
phone--no ck sp--ho!
I wish we could here Diego, I bet he is hollering!
MMMMOOOOMMMMIIIIEEEE!!!
It was a scary time.
Must go get cat meds. BBL.
Lynn and Norma
You can appreciate this from this old clunker with clunker eyes, I read Norma's message as being from Hedgie....
Norma... I send my prayers for comfort in the loss of your friend... ♥
Thanks, Lynn, for getting me back on track.
xo
Now time for me to get busy in the kitchen.
Have a great Saturday! I am!
Kathryn works near Quantico, so she spent the day looking at military planes fly over. Sometime later, we were in a Target store when the air conditioning system kicked on with a roar. The sound spooked both of us. It took awhile to calm down.
Mom is back cradling Diego.
Sissy, also read that they can breed in sink drain/disposal...pour straight ammonia in overnight...did that 3 times with NO improvement!!!!
Yes, the apartment was in Arlington, near the Pentagon. Rus still lives near there, though not in the same place.
And here is that link:
Woodsboro Co 16 at the Pentagon
Good morning, everyone!
Cloudy and cool this a.m. Probably rain later.
Off for chores.
SIL was posted at Vienna,VA station and basically was on standby for fill-in for other Fairfax Co. stations that were closer in to the city.
That's it for me for now.
Good to see my friends on here!
Need to get some things ready for mailing...
Best wishes for a good Saturday for all...Hope you continue to find cool things in your In Box...
they might even be disguised as Gnats!
xox ☺ ♥
PS - I asked my grandson if anything had been mentioned in his school yesterday about what happened on 9/11 - no mention of it. So I gave him a short history lesson, and especially told him about the heroes on that plane that went down in Shanksville. Told him about the phrase: "Let's Roll! "
And for all the educators, moms and grandmoms and aunts on here: James was so delighted to go to the Public Library! Made my day - and His !
xo TTFN xo Love you Folks! ♥
My mom worked in the basement of the Pentagon when it first opened while construction proceeded overhead.
And, I have to tell you, that I think it is a shame that nothing is mentioned about the significance of that day in our schools. I told Tom last night, that piece that was on the History Channel should be shown in every school in America on 9/11. WE MUST NEVER FORGET!!!!
DAV just called--It has rained yesterday--all night & still raining in FL!--GD invited to party--& is insisting on going---(miss those days) ho!
I bet HANDSOME STEVE has forgotten us----ho!

Thanks for that link, Margy. Nice tribute to those guys and that company. And a toast in thanks to and remembrance of Rob.
** HAPPY BIRTHDAY **
TO
** SUZANNE **
I hope this the best one yet and they just keep getting better.
OUR WHOLE WORLD WOKE UP!!--
Right Norma. I said we were almost smug in the knowledge that would never happen here. NOT NOW!!
WOW!!---HAPPY #700!!
Has any one heard from MITS or PAULA?---I heard on news--OC had had 5 inches rain????
Been awhile since we have seen 700!
Close up of Bai and baby. The baby is trying to cover his eyes from the light with his paws....
Wonder if that means his eyes have opened.

Good Afternoon...
I've heard from Helen and lots of people on the boardwalk last eve with no rain. Thursday I think is when the
Coastal Hghwy flooded a bit.
Good afternoon, Jim.
Happy Birthday, Suzanne.
Hope Mits and Paula are still enjoying the weekend even with raindrops.
So happy I didn't have to be in classes yesterday. Makes me upset to remember in class but feel it is necessary to acknowledge the date.
Norma
A little surprise for you if you have a chance to click on "Fun and Dandy" on my links ☺
Hi Mema Jo and Jim and all others before and to follow !
xo
Koo's halo is at Finney's nest...♥
Oh wow Magpie. How spiritual! Thank you for that!
Loretta is the one that coined the phrase, Koo's halo...
♥ ♥
Jim
Thanks for reminding us when there are Channel Islands updates...
Much appreciated....☺
I hate working on the weekend but it is certainly to have time to visit with ya'll. Weekend work is not as stressful. Can kinda do it as I feel like it.
lol Margy were you and James out hunting pink flamingos recently......
And in whose yard did you find them?
NICE, that is the word I just left out!!
Mommy is trying to wrangle and wiggling little bear!!
☺
Thanks MARGY---I so LOVE bright pink birds!---ho!---cool!!---I enjoyed your Leetown Road photos too!---I come into Shepherdstown that way!----
Oh SHIRLEY!--Aren't you the sly one?---ho!!
We will see. . .
Shirley, ask salesman if he is throwing in the end tables for free???!!! LOL! At least talk him down on the price of them!
Margy, what in the world is the whirling dervish at the hatchery?? A pond scum churner????
DANA do you know if it is televised?
Thanks JO!---That's good news--I want PAULA to enjoy her holiday!!
I know that SuzaNNE won't see this here on the blog but just had to
wish her a special day tomorrow. On Friday through an email she knows that
we are thinking of her.
Hope you get all the tables, Shirley and at a GOOD Price.
NORMA-----don't find it on TV anywhere, but it is live here:
ESPN WVU game
at 3:30.
So do I, Jo.
Jo, TODAY is Suz' birthday!
Lynn
Yup! An algae scum buster for sure! That thing was way cool!
Glad you liked the birdies, Norma ☺
You mean I guessed right, Margy? How about that???? Neat contraption. Nothimg yuckier than scummy ponds!
OK Lynn I think between you and me - these b-days are getting all filed up.
I meant that yesterday I told Suz to enjoy her day today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SUZANNE
TODAY
You're doing just fine Jo...
Me? I just poured buttermilk on cereal, thinking it was regular milk ! Yuck - not going to eat that! xo
Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone!
Finally have a chance to say hi; have been reading and trying desperately to catch up here. Boy, we are a talkative bunch, aren't we?! We've done a LOT of talking lately. (That's a GOOD thing!)
I have SO MUCH to accomplish today, and I slept in till 7:30, which cut out about 5 hours of my usual day. (Usually up at 2:30am!)
There are pages and pages of Anatomy homework to do--mostly online, since teacher doesn't use our Anatomy book to do the questions in it.
Take care! :o]
good morning, its a cool morning here for a few minutes any way.
Jo, Suzanne is on facebook . Or at least was this morning.
Oops--almost forgot to mention:
Have had gnats infesting the houseplants' dirt before.
BBL
Can't wait to see that ROCKET cake pic.
I need to go get ready to pickup
15 yr old grandson in Baltimore to come up for Mass, dinner and an overnight!
Jo, I can imagine your relief when you heard your daughter's voice that day!
Driving to Tahoe for lunch. BBL
Bye, Lynn.
Enjoy your lunch, Anne-Marie.
Jo, enjoy your time with your grandson.
Take your umbrella just in case Lynn!
I'm getting some sprinkles here in the valley! HAVE A BLAST !
Enjoy your furniture store visit, Shirley
Shirley - from what I hear you saying at Open House we will not only meet you but also Kathryn and Hunter and just maybe Suzie.... That will be great!
I must hit the shower or I am going to run late!
BBL this early evening.....
Good Afternoon Eagle Friends
Lynn make sure you take something to keep you warm. Back at Hedgesville tonight when Charlie Daniels is playing it will be COOL.
Suzi, Kathryn, Hunter, and I have managed to put together a short trip together fairly often.
Magpie, checked the firetruck story and sent it to my children. They will appreciate it as much as I did. Thanks.
Prayers for good weather for Pickin' in the Panhandle, or Lynn will be pickin' mud outta her shoes!
Heading out also, Save Travel wishes to all, and Best Wishes for a good rest of the day.
Sooooo nice to see everyone ♥
TTFN and back later...xox
And have fun Jo - -
- like I need to tell ANYONE to have fun with their granchildren, it's a Given!
Do hope Lynn has good weather.
Oh, you might as well gaze upon our empty nest, the colors are spectacular !
Colors at the nest are very much better since the camera was cleaned.
Off to see the furniture guy. BBL.
I'm getting ready to take off awhile too.
Maybe be back in later
Hope those that are away are having fun...plus those getting ready to go away have fun too.
Good weather I'm hoping for Lynn.
Paula I hope has had a BALL!!!
Be Safe Everyone
God Bless
