thanks, Megan...eagle still at BWO

Mits said...

hope the gang got to go over to NCTC

floralgirl said...

Yep, me too, it only rained for a short time.

Mits said...

I have been watching the radar on and off..so they should have been ok:)

Mema Jo said...

Hello! Glad I went onto the previous thread so I could bring this over!!!!

WHOO HOO ANDREW

Lunch was a great get together. There were 8 of us - Anne Marie, Bill and Sandy Bell (brother & sil of AM),Wanda & Gene, Lynn, Sandra and Jo. Sandra went with them to do some more tours around Shep'twn for Anne Marie to get more pics of the area! They will be here this evening and then head for Williamsburg. I did not go over to the nest... I think Anne Marie may go later or tomorrow morning. We did get a downpour while in the Rumsey.

Mits said...

well I know one of the momsters is home, should be getting a lunch report soon:)

Mits said...

and there she is:)

Lolly said...

Did anyone get any pictures?

Mits said...

glad you all had a good time..especially nice to see that Sandra was there.

Lolly said...

Cool drum line!!!! I like that!

Mema Jo said...

Yes, Lolly - Wanda and Gene and Anne Marie and Lynn. Hopefully some will
show up here shortly.

We did have FUN. Anne Marie looks really great. She's been through a lot with her operation but recovered like a real trooper!

Mits said...

eagle poofed at BWO

Lolly said...

Great to hear she is doing well. Figured she was okay going on this tirp.

Jack and I ran some errands. Starting to get ready for our trip in six days. Also, got groceries to make two meals for Laurel and family. Still plan to go up there tomorrow. Laurel has the flu, but they are not running lab tests now to find out what kind. She has Tamiflu as well cough med with codine. Doctor said she should feel better by Wed., but not to go back to school until Thursday.

Mema Jo said...

I wish the DR would have told Laurel to take the entire week off - and then she would also have the weekend to rest and regain her strength! Coughing takes it out of you. I have codeine cough medicine and it did stop the cough but made me 'hyper' and I just couldn't sleep! You would have thought it would knock me out but it didn't.
She needs time to build her immune system back to where it should be!

TONIGHT TV - (for Me) WETA Channel
Mystery Theater 8-9:30
NO COMMERCIALS & GREAT PLOTS!

hedgie said...

Hello, I'm here....catching up!
Loretta, loved the pics....think the 2nd osprey one with the gray background is outstanding! Good one for a contest entry, or to frame! YOu have been really lucky with so many varieties of butteflies posing for you. WoW!
Sharon, hard to tell with hats on...was Andrew 2nd drummer from right? They were really cool!
We did have a very nice lunch. Everyone is doing well and looking great!
Got my flu shot....didn't take too long...after they got my Medicare to go through...duh! Clerk mistyped my number----pharmacist called SS to find out what problem was only to find that she had goofed! Quick after that was settled!

hedgie said...

Lolly, afraid that if Laurel goes back that soon she may relapse. Everything I've heard is that they should be off for at least 72 hrs. after last fever reading!

deb said...

I have eaten and watched Andrew, time to relax a little before I head back.

Sharon, that is some drumming Andrew did and loved all the action added in!

deb said...

Your lunch sounds like it was a good time, glad you could all get together.

Mema Jo said...

I was just with you Hedgie and I forgot I had wanted to know if you got the shot... Good for you. My DR will call when he gets the supply..usually in Oct which is just a few days away.

ALSO How is Myrtle? I got the biggest laugh but of course could be proven wrong about training Myrtle. Keep us posted.

Hey Everyone - Hedgie brought a handful of the acorns to show us at lunch! WOWSIE They are the biggest acorns I have ever seen. I told her she could use them instead of gravel in the driveway - just need a gang of you to come to Hedgie's for an Acorn Raking Party.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Deb! I could watch over and over the Drum Line! Love it!

hedgie said...

Hmmmm....State Farm says that WV has the worst deer:vehicle collision rate in the country! Maybe that's why they added more hunting days to the calendar......

hedgie said...

LOL, Jo, for sure!!!
I got my shot at Walgreens....Wanda said yesterday that my doctor doesn't have it yet and doesn't know if/when; my apptmt. is for the 12th...so thought I'd just go ahead and do it now. Plus it didn't cost me a cent with Medicare, while at office they charge an administration fee over and above the cost that Medicare will not pay!

hedgie said...

Jo is right! ACORN party here anytime. They will be my new gravel.

Didn't see Myrtle today, Jo, but more of the tomato is gone so guess she has been there!

floralgirl said...

Is this a BYOR party?

NatureNut said...

Eagle at BWO ☺

hedgie said...

Wind has died down a lot...brought down more big limbs...between them and acorns, I SURE am glad I've got the garage...truck would surely be dented if not.
Hearing of trees and power lines down in several locations. Bet Margy is glad her shift is over right NOW!

hedgie said...

Yes, Megan...I only have two! Hey, do you want any acorns for your wreaths??? Sorry you couldn't make it today.

hedgie said...

Forgot to tell---told Jo and Wanda today---saw an absolutely beautiful eagle (head only) painting yesterday at one of the vendors at the festival....sorry, couldn't afford it for raffle: it was $400. My oh my.

floralgirl said...

Wind is gusting here, 20 mph...
Got lots of acorns here, thanks. They bring deer into the yard:( the other nite they had acorns for dinner and ate my celosia for dessert. Not cool.

Mema Jo said...

Hey, Megan! Your own Rake is a must if you want to come to Hedgie's party!
lol

Mits said...

why don't we rake then into the street, and run our cars over them, then suck them up with a vac

Mema Jo said...

Hedgie thought if we raked them into her driveway to the house it would save the cost of gravel... Might work

movin said...

Hi, I'm about to shut down while I go and take care of business.

BUT, you've got to see this new blog of the two girl offspring at the Panda area in San Diego.

Be sure you look at the unbelievable slide show...fabulous.

Catch you later. C(°Ù¿°)D

Great luncheon report...sure wish I could have been there, glad those that could, were. Will look forward to pictures! The Captain and Bill had all these beautiful women all to themselves ☺

magpie said...

Bet that YouTube from Sharon is totally awesome with sound !

Today, got a call for a "suspicious package" that was received at a residence, packed into an old coffee can. Recipient did not recognize the name of the sender....All the necessary precautions were taken, including x-rays...turned out the package was a glass Pomeranian Knick-Knack. That was the comic relief of the day. ☺

Costume Lady said...

We did, indeed, have a fun luncheon today. We are all so good together! Lots to talk about and laugh at...making more wonderful memories. What a special lady Anne-Marie is and Bill, her brother and Sandy (s-i-l) are a fun, loving couple. I think they like us too;)
I was overjoyed to see OUR SANDRA sitting at the table when we walked in. She was a vision cover in smiles...love her! She used to be such a gracious hostess to us at her house, before she became ill, and she now is being the perfect hostess again, by taking our out of state visitors for a tour, once again, of the Shepherdstown area. WHAT A LADY!
Unfortunately, Gene didn't get any photos of her (camera problems). He only got a very few and I have posted them on my blog "JUST FOR FUN".

magpie said...

Beautiful words, Wanda and lovely pictures as well. ☺

magpie said...

Nice of Lynn to share her acorns ☺

magpie said...

No more ISS flyovers for Martinsburg for the next ten days.
Oh well, there is always Jupiter and the Moon to gaze upon..tomorrow they should be really cozy.

TTFN got stuff to do xo

Mits said...

off to watch House, and some other shows....

Costume Lady said...

I didn't know that Gene was having a problem with his camera...if I had, I would have gotten mine out. Feel so bad about only 4 photos:(
BTW, Jo looked liked she's been feeling pretty good! Maybe it's all those MEATBALLS:)

Mits said...

did anyone go to the nest, Wanda?

Costume Lady said...

DWTS will be on shortly, for 2 hours. BBL

Mema Jo said...

Just saw the pics - Wanda your camera takes such clear photos. I am thinking that Anne Marie will have some pics to share with all of us.

Boy I was trying to find a doc for hubby - tore the file drawer apart and finally found it. I really need some of Lolly's, Mit's or Lynn's
Declutter Energy!

I am now off to watch my Mystery Movie.

BRB around 9:30........

Mema Jo said...

Did I not tell Gene I would break his camera if he pointed it at me ??

magpie said...

This bird is going to roost early tonight.
See you all tomorrow, sort of...

xo God Bless Us, Every One

PS Thanks Double E-S...☺ ♥

hedgie said...

Funny story about the Pom, Margy! Sleep well.
I'll post my pics tomorrow, if that's okay....think mine of Sandra turned out pretty good. Daughter just left a little while ago---need to empty dishwasher and clean up kitchen while watching DWTS. Taping House. New show "Trauma" comes om tonight, too, so taping it, as well as CSI Miami---boy, I'll have lots to watch!!

hedgie said...

BIL had brought almost a bushel of "sympathy basket" fruit from his sisters' last week and I'm not a big fruit eater! Carolyn forgot to take it home with her when she was here Sat. so came to pick it up and also held dog while I trimmed her toenails. Two "jobs" accomplished!

floralgirl said...

Darn...forgot about House- still haven't watched last weeks. Monday nite football is coming on -yuk- and also Nat'l parks show part two...

paula eagleholic said...

Nature - you can post pics of Eewwiies!

Acorn driveway...cool idea!

Glad everyone had fun at lunch! Hope Anne gets a peek at our royal pair. Or we could chuck the acorns at the stinkbugs. Saw a big article in the Frederick paper about the stink bug invasion.

An explosive doggie knick knack...gotta love it.

Too much good stuff on TV now...hard to choose! Fortunately I have paperwork instead :(:(

hedgie said...

Paula...:( paperwork is daytime activity!! You need to chill!

Anonymous said...

Got to see Ronnie McDowell up at Tipton Pa. yesterday. He put's on one good show.
See cam still down. Hang in there it will be on line again soon.

hedgie said...

Hey, Bob, bet that WAS a good show!
Yeah, we keep hoping about the cam!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, Lynn, I am still dealing with a lot of paperwork on Mom's estate! It's neverending!

Anonymous said...

Yea you know it. We only have one country show to see yet this year and that's Bob Plunkert.

Mits said...

watching Trauma...so far not impressed

Lolly said...

Watching Dancing as well as checking on the Cowboys!

So glad that you all had a great time today. Great pictures Wanda. Looking forward to seeing yours, Lynn.

Anne Marie looks great!

Mema Jo said...

Finished my Mystery Theater.. It was good & I didn't figure it out ahead of the ending!

I watched the video clip JIM posted of the Panda sisters at SD Zoo.... It was the most pleasant 7 min video of the Su Lin and ZZ.

Hoping that Anne is able to come on tonight for awhile.

Hello Crunch! Hope all is well up there on 81 North...

Where, I wonder, is Judie, Shirley and Andrea.

hedgie said...

I'm sure nothing is easy about settling the estate, Paula.
Bob, never heard of Plunkert!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good evening, good night, and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur. Hope everyone has a very peaceful and restful night. House was good tonight. Gotta love House!

hedgie said...

Good question, Jo!! Not like them to not have checked in! And Deb should be home from work by now, right?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Will have to look at the visit pics tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

M J All is good as can be.
It's down to 62 now and windy here

Anonymous said...

Hedgie He local well from Hanover, Pa. Two years ago he was at the rail days in Martinsburg.

Mema Jo said...

Nite Sharon!

Bob, it is chilling down here to 62° and we also have wind. Right now it doesn't call for rain until the weekend. Frederick has big celebration of In The Streets this Saturday when it may just be raining.
I was surprised our Frederick Fair didn't bring the rain like it usually does. That was last week.

deb said...

I am home from work with a stop at the store. All the groceries are put away and dogs are fed.

Those acorns sound like a mess, too bad there isn't a way to catch them before they hit the ground.

I broke down and pulled out the jeans today. I am thinking capris are done for the year for the most part. It is chilly out!

stronghunter said...

Stoppong by to say good night. Had a long, busy day and got home late. See you tomorrow!

Mema Jo said...

Deb the temps you said your area was having - Long Johns might feel good too

I asked before if your Lawn Maintenance man also is a Snow Shoveling man?

Mema Jo said...

Nite Shirley - Rest Well!

deb said...

We have frost advisories out for tonight, YUCK!

deb said...

I keep forgetting to ask him, but usually snow isn't that bad. We will see what the winter brings

NatureNut said...

Nighty-nite to all leaving soon ☺
Gotta shampoo hair for work in AM.
Sounds like lunch was great.
We did not get a drop of rain this afternoon, but supposed to go to 49by 7AM & high tomorrow 69. Now watch, that report will change in 1/2 hour!
Got a fantastic eagle email from friend in Paw Paw---sent it around.I may have seen it before, but it's almost a Kleenex story--Mostly good!!!

Andrew's drum line, Crazy Horse Blast, and an email ding....

what does this tell you about Magpie's Roost ??

Long story short...Sharon emailed me with an offer to walk me through some steps, I deferred because I was tired and afraid to start something I might not could finish, but I thought what the heck, try System Restore one more time...(Red suggested this weeks ago and computer would not comply) - but tonight it did...
not sure what I might have given up, but for now, I'm happy for the three things and a little Pix Pa noise.

Now, I think I am ready for sleep....

In the next few days I can visit some of the other sound treats I have saved.

Good Night, Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions, and to RED: Happy Your Birthday To Me ☺
and Thanks Sharon for the final push ! -

and I watched some of the National Parks show while I was waiting on computer to restart and fire up ☺

Paula Best wishes for your project..done with love and the best of care, no doubt.
Prayers, for all

Costume Lady said...

Oh, Lynn...I forgot to tell you, I took GeeGee to the Health Dept. and after about 45 minutes, we Both got our shots! She was really relieved, as was I. Thanks for the info on the places and times for the shots!! Did you have to wait a long time on yours? I read where your SS# proved to be a bit of a mix up:(

Going to bed a bit early again tonight.

GOOD NIGHT

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone!
I've been snowed under with homework today, AND I spent quite a while in line at the EDD, but found out some of the info I needed. The gal at the window was really nice to me. Said to be there before 7:30 am tomorrow, and I won't have to stand in line so long. I guess Congress has voted OK on extending UI again, but EDD hasn't heard from the govt. yet about who's to be eligible, for how long, and how much $$. Tomorrow I can find out whether I may be eligible or not, once they look me up in their system.
The gal who helped me today doesn't have a password.
Gosh, if it turns out I'm NOT eligible, and I can't find a job like RIGHT NOW, I may have to apply for early SS. Can't work enough hours, though, with so much homework to do all the time. If I get SS now, I won't get much, since I took 17 years off work to be a stay-at-home Mom. Tricky situation. Lord, please HELP!
Hey, glad you had so much fun at lunch today, you guys! Would've loved to be able to be there. Will have to go look at the pictures.
Has anyone heard how Red is doing? I don't remember whether someone was going to be able to keep us posted or not.

paula eagleholic said...

Yay for Margy...finally has some sound.

I haven't heard an update on Red.

Mema Jo said...

Paula - I was just on FB
He is home and was on the computer telling all of us he was go to go!

Sitting here watching the Cowboys! Norma???? You watching??? Oh, happy day!

Lolly said...

It has been a beautiful day, very pleasant! Cowboys won! Only thing bad is Laurel is so sick. Heading up there tomorrow. I just can not stay away!

She told me both boys stood at her door and looked at her after they got home from school. Later on she asked Joey to send one of the boys up with ice for her head. Jacob brought it up, stood at the door and threw it at her. lol

Anyway, I am cooking here in the morning and then going up there right after lunch.

Nite all! Sweet dreams!

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh, My Gosh! Margy, do you have sound?!!!!! FANTASTIC!!! That's just wonderful!
Boy, I've been online doing some homework--still--and I'm getting really brain weary. Think it's time for some mindless TV for a while.
Prayers for everyone, especially Red!
Hope Red has a comfortable night, and a restful sleep. Hope we ALL have a good night's sleep! Sweet dreams, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
The night light is on, the porch light is automatic, and the eye scanner lock is enabled. Please don't let any stink bugs in if you come in late! G'night! :o]
