How exciting to be #1. You keep on paddling, Steve, until you hit dry land.
Does you canoe really have lights?

I have mostly slept since Friday so it seems. Since I am feeling the effects of the antibiotic and the increased amount of prednisone I came over to the computer. Oh yes I do have pneumonia.
Thanks for all the pics and the cards waiting for me.
Love you all!

Good night All
Peace to you & yours

I think I am headed to the pillows myself. Falling asleep sitting here in the chair with the computer on my lap.

It was good to see Margy and Jo on last night. It is a beautiful day here. Have a great day all.

Good morning, everyone! So glad to see that Mema Jo made it to the computer last night! More prayers for your speedy recovery coming from California! :o] Got home later than expected from the baby shower yesterday, and no chance to get caught up with the blog. Have been up for a while now, and am up to speed. Hidey is looking adventurous indeed at the moment, hanging her beak over the edge! Say, you folks must be getting the hot weather we had a week ago! With no a/c, thought we'd melt when we had 3 days of 100+ temps!
So glad it's cool and breezy again.
Forecast for today here is a high of 68 degrees. Take care, and have a wonderful day!

Hi

Morning all. MsBookworm, you and Jim and Anne Marie need to keep this board going into the night after the easterners have called it a day!!
So glad to see Jo onboard, and Margy well enough to go exploring and to church!
Going to be another scorcher here today. Everyone keep cool.

Good morning! Just time enough to peek in at the cams. Almost time to start getting ready for church. First cam to check was OK. I was really worried about them last night, but they are still there in the nest. A hail storm could be rough on eagles!

See that Hied is sitting down again. When I first peeked he was standing by the edge.

So sorry you on the east coast are having such hot days! We have a forecast of thunder storms for the next few days.

LOL One of these days I am going to post my blog just as it has been typed. Without any corrections. I make more errors on this laptop!!!! Grrrrrr!

Hidey looks so Eagle this morning standiing up on her feet and making her self pretty...bet mom and day are proud of their Eaglet on what looks like a nice day there in West Virginia. Be prepared for cooler weather though coming its raining and cool here in Minnesota, you all seem to get our weather next. Have a good day and Mema Jo take care plenty of rest and lots of warm fluids!!

Hello eagle buds!! Sitting here on the boat at Claytor Lake! I been missin' you guys. Glad to hear Mema Jo was feeling a bit better! Bless her heart, she has had a time!!

Hidey is sitting on the launching pad, practicing getting up her nerve I bet. Moved over now to the other side!

magpie said...

Ditto that thought Mits -
about this day..

Pastor talked this morning about "Making it a Great Day..." reminded me of our Paula

Ceil: I would like to personally thank everyone involved in getting you back on this blog on a regular basis !! Now, that is a blessing !

Good morning, it is cloudy and cool here, 40 degrees this morning. We had thunder and lightening again in the middle of the night. We got about 1/2" of rain, not bad, but we could use more.

deb said...

Today is my last day of freedom. I am going back to work tomorrow, so sad, but necessary. I never expected to enjoy my time off as much as I did. It is nothing exciting, AT&T cell phone trouble shooting, but in today's job market, I was glad I found someone hiring. The good news is I can walk to work, no driving to Sioux Falls or Sioux City. The first three weeks of training are 7:30-4:30, I will miss so much of Hidey and the Ospreys. :(

Mits said...

Deb WE ARE GOING TO MISS YOU TERRIBLY, but good to have a job...what is Mary going to do with out you!!!!!!!

Mits said...

we will keep you posted with lots of pics.....

deb said...

She is in mourning, keeps saying but it is kayak time and spring. We will still be able to do stuff on weekends, once her daughter's wedding is done. I will have to find out my regular schedule, it may have a few Saturday's in it, that way I will have a week day off.

deb said...

I am counting on pictures. I don't want to miss Hidey fledging, maybe she will be nice and fledge on a Sunday!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good Sunday to everyone. It is so amazing what lengths these parents go to protect their young.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

It was good to see our Mema Jo has been here. Bless her heart! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

By the way, has there been any talk yet of a nest visit in June?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

It is 80° here in Bluefield.

Starlings have taken over my Flicker nest in the hole in the tree. Makes me mad! Sissy says I should shoot them with Daddy's .357 magnum!! Can see it now, parts of starlings all over the place. That is, of course, if I could even hit one.

deb said...

Food delivery, Hidey is waiting for a bite already. Here comes Belle to take over.

deb said...

Belle is calling out!

sara said...

Hello.... new thread started for Sunday and no comments have been added. Where is everyone....

I'm going to scan and e-mail an article that was in the Sunday Register Herald about the eagle's nest.

hedgie said...

LOL, Shar....a .357 would probably take down the tree!!! Glad to see you and Sis both on on a Sunday! Are you on the boat, too?
Deb, so sorry you have to go back to work....thought you were retired...for good!!! Lucky you did find something and even better that it's so close to home!
We sure don't want your 40's, but would love to give you these 90's! Too much too soon! 75 sounds like it would be just about right for us all.

Mema Jo said...

Congratulations Deb - But so sad for us bloggers Oh how I am going to miss all the pics you send me and all the updates in your comments.
Let us know when you find out your hours
You may get off early in the day and still be able to jump in the truck and go to capture some pics before the sun
goes down! As you say, the experiences you have had are worth more then gold!
Best of everything to you, gal! (((hugs))

Mema Jo said...

I have been thinking Nest Visit -
1st wekkend in June
I think Hidey would be 11 weeks old. Do you think that is waiting too close to fledge time. Just wanted to see her jumping and branching a little.
