Red-tail is feeding two chicks, I am trying to see if there are any cracks in the third egg. All raptor chicks must peck each other. I know it is normal, but I don't like watching it happen. :(
That was the nastiest bite just now that Hidey took away from Belle. It looked like a stick so I would say it had bones and Hidey had a hard time swallowing.
Hi Eagle Friends. It was really beautiful to see the Threesome in the nest tonight.
Good to come home to friends.
Our fire, a trailer fire, in the Hedgesville area today, was a fatality. A three-year old died, and his father badly burned upper body. I have no idea what caused the fire or any other details. Just like that, it happens.
Belle's beak is looking better. Could have been from anythiing. Don't really think from sticks though. Our eagles are like Steve said tough. They are in natures hands flying, resting, trying to catch prey, avoiding other animals and raptors or birds. We are just lucky to have God taking care of our Belle.
Was sooo nice tonight...worked out in one of the flower gardens...threw the balls for the dogs...ate dinner....walked the dogs....still really nice out...just love this weather!
Thanks, friends. I cannot imagine how the firefighters must feel, and the family, and neighbors. I have no idea what happened out there. But a trailer goes up in quickly in a fire. Maybe Saturday more will be known or later on tonight. You just never know what can happen in an instant. Three years old... May all affected by this, recognize the presence of God in their lives and find comfort and solace. xo
When I just got cam up now, adult was sitting w/Hidey. Then I heard that clunking noise & see it's missing. So there must be feet by the mic above. Spidey doesn't make any noise!
Deb great pictures of the osprey with fish. Feed your turtles and the hamster. Forgot to say looked at your videos Paula. Loved them. Feed your fish. I am finally catching up on all pictures and videos. Going to call it a night. Prayers for all in need.
Loretta loved your pictures of the eagle. If you can I will need directions for Tuesday. I have some from the internet but last time I used this site they were terrible.
Lynn we have looking into a trip. Got to get his drs approval. Then have to get my drs approval. Next I have to be on plenty of meds to go. That part I hate....so we'll see. One Day At A Time..
which oklahoma eagle site was it that the babies died from exposure? I hate that :( I'm watching one site that was posted in oklahoma that has a baby and looks like another egg there..
It was Fort St. Vain Colorado 3 eaglets perished due to one of the parents has been injured or killed. No one knows what has happened to the one parent. The other parent couldn't take care of the eaglets and hunt for food.
Today we heard the strangest sound and I knew what it was from watching the heron cam. I was pretty excited that I could say that it was a Great Blue Heron we were listening to!
There's a rookery S. of Park where they do tours & once I went and have never heard such raucous noise in my life! Probably a dozen or more nests, adults & young!
Margy - Very sorry to hear of the tragic news concerning the trailer fire. Prayers for the dad and family and also for all those called to help them in their time of need. God will take care of the little one.
Hi all! We are loaded and ready to head out in the morning, I got on earlier this afternoon and then Jack called me for something. Had to abandon the cam. He said to tell you that he is looking forward to several days of rest and a chance to sit and have a beer each evening instead of hauling wheelbarrow loads of my garden trash to the back. LOL Now you know why he is willing to go on this trip.
I just can not think about the CO nest. It breaks my heart! I have not watched it a lot recently and that is good.
Yes, I wish they would leave the hawk babies til they fledged. I worry that they will not be able to be released. The school where these light poles are located have had to close the stadium. Fear of injuries. (Graduation is scheduled at the stadium) They have invited people to watch them take the babies from the nest.
Paula, thanks for the info on the banding at NBG. Just told Jack and hopefully we will be able to watch it Monday. We think we will have the internet available at the RV park.
Read where I was not the only one who could not see Hidey in the nest this afternoon. I about lost it. thinking he was gone and then he moved.
Thanks Deb. It will be interesting. I fear it will be so far away that we won't see much. I do know to check the tops of the utility poles for an eagle!
Lolly, I don't have any choice when it warms up....I took screens out of windows years ago....I hate bugs in the house, and there is no screen fine enough to keep woods' fliers OUT! I love nightlights....and then there's the TV and puter screen lights that attract them! So.....with house closed up it doesn't take long for it to heat up!! Bummer about your yard...gives you something to look forward to when you come home, huh? LOL!
Could not live without our screens. Love to open up the house. Love to sleep and listen to the night sounds as I fall to sleep. Can also hear our little stream.
I love that "bird nerd" moniker, too! Heading for tub and then to bed. Hope everyone has a good night. Peace. Prayers for so many in especially emotional need tonight.
Had a fun evening with family at dinner. Crabs were really BIG tonight...very good, too.
Tough day for Margy. She has her Faith to help her through the heart breakers...that is what makes her so good at her job! Prayers for refreshing sleep for her and fire victims family.
OK, Margy, I'm still looking for the thrasher, thought sure I saw one here the other day. We still have a huge flock of waxwings here, they are getting the last of the holly berries. The mockingbird is not happy about it. Waiting patiently for the hummers, any day now....... Gonna be another beautiful day here, Hidey's gonna be looking for shade again. 42° now, headed to 76° today, with lots of sun. Have a great day, I gotta get ready for market.
Our cam seems to have sort of a nasty hum to it this morning...like on Thursday. Didn't realize it was so bad the other day until I processed the videos...I can't hear the sound very well on my computer at work..
We are going to have another GORGEOUS day----here in the WVV HILLS----blue skies----sunshine -- birds singing & my resident rabbit at the window!!---LIFE IS GOOD!!---'PERCY' is a happy camper this am!!----Doesn't he love to flex his wings!!----EAGLE BUDDIES---ENJOY---SMELL A FLOWER--- HUG A TREE!----SPRING HAS 'SPRUNG' IN ALL HER GLORY!!!---REJOICE---

Margy, today must have been a tough one, prayers to you and everyone involved.
Ceil, thanks for update on Mits.
Welcome to a couple more new bloggers, I will have to start a new cheat sheet on where everyone is from!
Red-tail is feeding two chicks, I am trying to see if there are any cracks in the third egg. All raptor chicks must peck each other. I know it is normal, but I don't like watching it happen. :(
Parent arrives in our nest.
That was the nastiest bite just now that Hidey took away from Belle. It looked like a stick so I would say it had bones and Hidey had a hard time swallowing.
I saw that too, Sharon.
They are working on moving the stick that got stuck under Hidey's wing today.
Both eagles now.
Hidey is helping move grass, a whole 2 pieces and had to lay back down! ☺
And there was a cute little tail wiggle!
Hi Deb! How's it going?
Sounds like Liberty is right at the camera and then Belle took off.
Good, Sharon. I'm glad your iron infusions are making you feel better.
Oh me too! Thanks so much!
My hateful neighbor from Baltimore and another new neighbor that bought my grandmother's house are both so drunk they can hardly walk.
What a shame, they must have started pretty early to be that bad already.
Boris has arrived!
Hi Eagle Friends.
It was really beautiful to see the Threesome in the nest tonight.

Our fire, a trailer fire, in the Hedgesville area today, was a fatality. A three-year old died, and his father badly burned upper body. I have no idea what caused the fire or any other details.
Just like that, it happens.
Two of the neighbor's dogs got out earlier and she had to go look for them. He came outside and said he thought he might have drank too much.
WOW that was fast across the nest. Spidey!
Sharon, I really like your Sparrow...white-throated maybe?
Deb... sounds like a good Water Field Trip.
and I am devasted about the news about our Colorado Eagle family.
xo
I can't believe how much our Eaglet grows each day.
Margy I don't know how you do that job. God bless that poor family.
That is so sad, Margy.
It is a white-throated sparrow. I have them here and just love them. They come to the feeders late in the evening with the cardinals.
Margy I know you must feel really bad. Horrible tragedy. Wish I knew what to say. God bless the family and you.
Me too Margy...I was hoping to visit the area where the nest is.
I've watched it since I've been watching eagles. I had to cry...
Sorry for such a heart tough day for you. Poor family...and the firefighters. Just whole thing is so sad :(
Prayers for you Margy
Prayers for the Dad and family, fire fighters and those needing prayer in reference to the fire.
Margy did you see Loretta's beaver? There use to be a beaver dam at Sleepy Creek.
Was sooo nice tonight...worked out in one of the flower gardens...threw the balls for the dogs...ate dinner....walked the dogs....still really nice out...just love this weather!
Saw that spider. Yuck.
Thanks, friends. I cannot imagine how the firefighters must feel, and the family, and neighbors. I have no idea what happened out there. But a trailer goes up in quickly in a fire.

Margy, so sorry about the fire tragedy. How horrible. Your work is awfully tough sometimes...don't know how you get through some of these days.
Haven't caught up on all the new pictures, will do that in a little while.
I'll be back on later.
xo God Bless Us, Every One....
Hidey finally moved, and now I have figured out what parts are facing which way! :)
Dana, are you planning a trip to CO to see your daughter? Good for you!!! Get well so you can do it!
Margy, you have more mail.
Heidy seems to be very active tonight. He usually is sleeping by now. Lots of wing stretches and cute little tail wiggles.
While Belle or Lib are up there stomping around the mic, maybe they could get Spidey!!!

So glad you and Mary M can come. I forgot your not coming in the Eagle Express, 'cuz your in Balmer!
Thanks, Loretta. Looking forward to the trip.
Thanks, Ceil. Just got the videos from yesterday posted to the blog...
Eaglet Momsters Blog
Nice pics again, Deb and Nature!
which oklahoma eagle site was it that the babies died from exposure? I hate that :( I'm watching one site that was posted in oklahoma that has a baby and looks like another egg there..
aww...I see now it was Colorado instead of Oklahoma..so sad..
Ceil, You have mail ☺
It was Fort St. Vain Colorado 3 eaglets perished due to one of the parents has been injured or killed. No one knows what has happened to the one parent. The other parent couldn't take care of the eaglets and hunt for food.
It was a Colorado nest at Ft. St. Vrain. (I think I spelled it correctly.) Xcel Energy sponsors the cam.
Yes Deb you did spell it right Ft. St. Vrain I mis-spelt it.
Glad you liked the pics--weren't the best on a wet, grey day (+ I don't have Bob's camera LOL)
Paula, gonna check your videos in a sec. You, Deb & Glo do great jobs for us!
Hidey is preening. Reminds me of a kitty! ☺
Need a cupa java-----BBS
Today we heard the strangest sound and I knew what it was from watching the heron cam. I was pretty excited that I could say that it was a Great Blue Heron we were listening to!
Great Blue heron
P. S. right at the camera!!! So funny!
Both eagles at LW. (see heron link above, except select eagles=Lake Washington)
Maybe Hidey can wipe out Spidey! Tee Hee
One eagle just flew out of LW. I think egg(s) are due to hatch towards the end of April.
There's a rookery S. of Park where they do tours & once I went and have never heard such raucous noise in my life! Probably a dozen or more nests, adults & young!
That would be so fun to hear, Loretta, I have just heard the one on the cam. I saw one a couple of weeks ago, but we were too far away to hear them.
Duh, I just figured out that PS didn't stand for post script. Too much sun for me today!
Duh! Deb! I am right there with you!
Loretta - Poop Shoot is not P.S. lol
I think I am watching BRS and he is out in front of his tractor with 2 visitors.
Could be wrong.
Also watching the wood duck - she has head tucked under the wing.. sitting on 17 eggs.
Deer on Snowman cam
Dead deer YUK! in the PA woods - the raccoons were on the other cam having a party and so were the raccoons at the Okie Bird cam.
Glad I am not the only one, I kept trying to figure out what Loretta was P.S.-ing. The light bulb finally went on.
Margy - Very sorry to hear of the tragic news concerning the trailer fire. Prayers for the dad and family and also for all those called to help them in their time of need. God will take care of the little one.
The sun is coming up in Finland already. I am waiting to see if something is in the nest on the water.
Won't look at cam cause of Spidey...did P.S. REALLY hit cam lens? That's what I'm worried about him doing!
LOL

Read where I was not the only one who could not see Hidey in the nest this afternoon. I about lost it. thinking he was gone and then he moved.
Remember Lolly to rent that boat when you get to the OKLA nest so you can wave at us as you float under the nest!!!!
You will have a very relaxing time
if Jack has anything to do with it! And at least one very good meal with wine!
There goes the ferry boat!!
Deb not sure any osprey is in the nest
I wish I knew where the Golden Eagle
couple has gone! Miss Them!
It is light at Finny on the Water and the nest is empty.
I see Jo already said the nest was empty. I am once again trying to do too many things at one time.
No Deb I was guessing it was empty.
I am also watching the RTH
Someone said that the 3rd egg had a pip hole - but I haven't seen it.
I haven't seen it either Jo, but haven't looked too close tonight.
Right Jo! Will rent that boat! Be watching!
I am falling asleep in front of the cams, time for me to turn it off.
Lolly have a great time. It will be fun to hear your first hand OK nest report!
Night everyone!
Thanks Deb. It will be interesting. I fear it will be so far away that we won't see much. I do know to check the tops of the utility poles for an eagle!
Good Night, Deb...loved the latest pictures, also Loretta's - going to save Paula's videos as a morning treat!
Good Night everyone else, Happy Trails, Lolly
Take Care Everyone, Sleep Sweetly, and remember tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives....☺

Alright, Lynn. Will start getting ready for bed. LOL Just remember it is just 10:00 here!
Can't believe you turned on your AC today. We have not even come close to doing that.
Had over an inch of rain today. Storms brought lots of wind. The yard is covered with leaves and branches. Will have clean up to do when we get home.
Osprey at Finney's nest.
Poof, it is gone!
Now two are there. They are coming and going fast.
How about 2 Osprey in the Finney Water nest!
I wonder where they stayed thru the night?
WHoo Hoo
Eggs should be a coming soon!
HP at Finney's on the water and then POOF they are gone again.
Oops, missed you, Paula...g'night!
And off they went!

Hidey still asleep all by her self....
I think Belle and Lib are just above or on the cam. Keep hearing a noise.
LOL
Night "Bird Nerd"!
Sweet dreams!
I am staying on til the next ferry comes by!

Good night, dear Jo! See you tomorrow. Sweet dreams.
Could not live without our screens. Love to open up the house. Love to sleep and listen to the night sounds as I fall to sleep. Can also hear our little stream.
Right now it is cool here. Presently 63.
I love that "bird nerd" moniker, too!
Heading for tub and then to bed. Hope everyone has a good night. Peace. Prayers for so many in especially emotional need tonight.
Here comes the ferry. You can make it out just above the trees on the left. Want to jump on and go for a ride, Lynn?...Then I will go to bed! :)
Had a fun evening with family at dinner. Crabs were really BIG tonight...very good, too.
Tough day for Margy. She has her Faith to help her through the heart breakers...that is what makes her so good at her job!
Prayers for refreshing sleep for her and fire victims family.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE

I caught the ferry! I'm off1
Nite all! Sweet dreams!

Hope it's a very good day for everyone...filled with lots of your favorite things.
