One gone already at SC. Not sure if the eagle at CC is feeding or rearranging.
MORNIN' DEB!!----We have been given the same weather forecast!!------Will get up to 60° by the middle of the week!!!---That's hard to believe!!!--
Lucky for you, we are to be back to snow by Monday evening into Tuesday, but will wait and see. They can change the forecast a lot before then.

Not exactly certain that we will - SC has Windows Media Player )live streaming) we will still have refreshing... We used to have Real Player - but that fizzled out!! Wanda, I think that is what you are asking me.
A friend, lives along the SOUTH BRANCH RIVER (POTOMAC RIVER), called me to run over--- an EAGLE was in a tree eating some unknown thing--a RAVEN was watching---!!!!----By the time I got there---both were gone---checked under the tree---found rabbit fur!!!--They see EAGLES quite often!!---Think another friend---took a photo!!

Yes, it is. I took it on Wednesday. I did post some new pictures on my page. Mostly immature eagles.
We are hoping Steve will be able to get our live stream up and running later in the season...security issues...as far as I know it isn't turned on right now...he hasn't said he won't be able to...yet...
Too bad it was gone already, Norma. They can be so fast to leave sometimes and others just sit for hours. Hopefully you will see it next time.
They must be afraid that BIG BROTHER will watch our cam if we have Live Streaming; we certainly can't have that!
DEB---She lives a couple of miles away---Several friends were there & I also think they were too noisy-----ho!---I didn't say that!!---That happened one time at our NCTC nest----We drove up fast & everyone---so happy to see our EAGLES---WE WERE SO NOISY----They flew across the field & stayed in that tree while we were there----
I do remember now of Steve talking about that. I guess we should be grateful that we can see the nest at all.

I know what you mean, Norma. I learned the hard way, too, turn off the radio, make sure to take the keys out of the ignition and don't shut the car door all the way. You never know what will scare them off.
Well, I guess I am as guilty as anyone at making the eagles stay away. I walked into the field near the nest tree, looking for Monarc Caterpillars; not knowing that I wasn't suppose to. I KNOW NOW! LOL
I think that big Eagle Express scared them off....can't remember if they flew off right away or if it was after we disembarked.
One day last week there were so many in the trees by the river and I was headed over to see them. While I was driving across the dam, I saw them all flying off. It would have been wonderful to get pictures, but there I was on the dam and nowadays, you can't stop on the dam except in a few designated spots. I had to just drive on in despair. When I got over to where they were, there sat 3 fisherman who had scared them off.
NZOO---SLOTH BEAR is rubbing up against the DIRT PILARS that are outside---HELEN told me last week!!----In the wild---the dirt pillars are full of termites--which the SLOTH BEAR loves!!---No termites allowed in NZOO---So they have have filled the pillars with different bugs!!---Bears love them!!----
Those eagles at SC are sure busy this morning. I had better get going. It is a beautiful day here and I don't want to waste it.
That didn't come out right. Not that visiting with you all is wasting a day, as I really enjoy this site. I just want to make sure and enjoy the nice day.

OH WANDA!!---I remember well the first time we went out to the nest at NCTC & not only were BELLE & LIB there---the 3 eaglets were there too!!---we all yelled & cried----They really put on a show for us!!!----SOARED SO HIGH!!---Hard to be quiet sometimes!! ho!

Wanda - we got to see a parent make a fish drop in the nest too...then Spunky sat on that sucker for almost an hour...making sure it was his before he dug in...you could hear another eaglet in the tree bank behind the nest calling out...wanting that fish too!
Paula, that sounds sooo exciting.....I tried to get into the album to check the eaglets photos out and couldn't. I'm guessing your telling me where to look, set off a firestorm of intersted parties all looking at the same time! I will try a little later. Thanks.

I have managed to catch a pretty good cold or sinus infection with all my outdoor adventures this past week. ut it was awesome and I am happily sick today if that makes any sense.
Guess I am missing some latest info about the cam...hmmm when I visited in Oct. I had talked with Steve and he even gave me an idea of how much the live feed would be this next season and plans to take some of the expense out of the Momster funds that have been raised. That felt good and was good news. Think I will just sit tight and hope...Not feeling like reading back over several Blogs etc.

I forgot to tell you that this morning's nest visit has been posted. It wasn't very eventful, just one or two nestorations by Belle and Lib had a fixation on the bottom of the egg cup. But, you know, any visit is a good visit.

We got a steady rain all night, could have been heavy at times after I went to bed from the look of the flowering plants.
It's stopped for a time now, but it is seriously overcast and humid...could start again anytime.

We did have some verry scattered flurries on Thursday down here, but nothing to brag about. Now it is in the 50 here again. I would like just one good snow and then for it to dry up the next day. :)
Missed the Royal Couple this morning. Had Jim's disease last night and was going through my email in the middle of the night, so I slept in this am.
There is still one eagle in the BWE nest just sitting there and looking around. Our nest is MT.

Sorry about scaring the BWE eagle away. That is the only one I have seen today so far.
PAULA I would be interested in knowing if that was the eagle at BWE and he or she flew over to the BWO nest. When the eagle first left the nest at BWE, I checked the BWO and it wasn't there yet. It kind of looks like he is trying to take a nap. :)
JIM Was wondering how you were getting through the weather out there; hopefully you aren't affected by it all.
Some deer just came through in Pa. Gone now; just a few birds on ground.
I'm sitting high and dry right now, Candy, if that's what you mean. But I need to go grocery shopping and do other errand stuff, so I'll probably be out in it before long.

Hi, just got back home and had a nice day outside. The dogs really enjoyed the nice weather. The other day people were sharing webcams. Today is the first clear day in a long time at one of my favorites. It is a cam of Denali Mountain.

Well, dang, I missed the evening visit.. I was watching deer too,my favorite way, they were running from a hunter's gun. Sorry, I have warped sense of humor, the reality is in my world, deer are enemy #1. We have way too many here now, herd of 35-45 in my yard is not uncommon. My gardens don't stand a chance with so many around.
Candy, Capt. Eagle said that is not ZZ in the box. Come on, tell me I'm not crazy.

Megan, the deer are so beautiful to look at, and I love to watch them in our woods, but they don't come into our garden. They do eat all my Mother's tender flower buds and anything in her veggie garden.

She lives very near City Hospital and you wouldn't expect wildlife to be there, but they are. She has Hawks, Groundhogs, Squirrels, Rabbits, Fox, Snakes, Deer, Moles, Chinese and Mexicans; all come into her yard.
They are beautiful, Wanda, when they are somewhere else besides my yard. After years of battling with them, I no longer see their beauty, especially when I see them with my crops in their mouths.

I live right on the edge of town, but the only one on your list that I get is rabbits. I think mainly because of the dogs. Lot's of squirrels across the street, but none in my yard. I did have a very Large bull snake in my yard once, but haven't ever seen it again.
Hi everybody, all is well here except I need a panda nap. Just got back from the airport. Put grand daughter on a plane for Portland. That drive up the state was really something. The speed limit is 75 in most places but most of us were going 40. There is always some idiot who doesnt care. Sure was tired last night.

The Chinese couple come into her yard with a back-pack and take her peaches, tomatoes, grapes and anything else they see. I ran them off last Summer. Hope they don't come back.
Yes Deb I did. Got it back this morning. There are still some that are in black out. We just aren't used to weather like this. I have lived here 50+ years and dont ever remember a storm like that.

The red cross are stepping in. We are at a crossroad of east /west north/south and the roads are blocked all ways. They closed the highway last night after I went through. I saw 5 accidents and two with big rigs. The wind just tipped them over.

Oh Wanda, I could get used to a life like that. First of all he is really pretty, WOW. Second his home is all glass over looking Santa Barbara Bay. I got pictures of Santa Cruse Island where the nest is from his living room. And most important he is really down to earth and really sweet. I wish I didnt live so far away.
No mud slide here. I am a flatlander but I have friends who are.
Glad you are home safe, Anne. Saw on the news where the wind was blowing trucks over on the road.
I live in the north. My southern friends build on sand and wonder why their home slide down the hill.
Megan the trucks that were full did ok. But if a truck wasnt really full the wind just picked them up. Many trucks drove to the side of hills and waited. I was low enough and in a good car that I was ok.
Good thing you are on flat land. Sounds like the date was good, but like you said, it is too bad you are so far apart.
Back to the deer problem: residential areas here (and probably everywhere) badly need controlled hunting. But it is not very easy to get permission to do that. You have to get a petition signed from your neighbors stating that the hunting will be OK with them. Then you have to get a group of trained hunters to do the deed; and there is probably a hugh fee.
I can understand the need to be cautious in a residential neighborhood.
