GOOD MORNING STEVE....THANK YOU.

Costume Lady said...

BWE egg was uncovered from 6:20 til 7:20.

Costume Lady said...

I wonder if being left in the cold all that time could have something to do with some of the eggs not hatching when the time comes? Or is this normal?

Costume Lady said...

COME ON OVER LADIES.....HOLDING THE DOOR OPEN AND IT IS GETTING COLD!

Costume Lady said...

Well, my goodness, BWE is empty again!

Costume Lady said...

OK, parent back now.

Costume Lady said...

Hey, DEB, time for you to get up!

Suzanne said...

Thanks for the new thread and the pic, Steven!
Thanks for the heads up, Wanda.
I see where she was off the egg again, but she's back now.

Suzanne said...

Wanda, not sure leaving the egg alone that long a time is normal, but the parents do not normally stay on the first egg all the time. They won't be on the nest all the time till they get a full clutch laid, then they incubate all of them together.

Costume Lady said...

SUZ...there you are! Welcome home!

Suzanne said...

Feeding at Tesoro. Can't get Norfolk up, can anybody else?

Suzanne said...

Make that redecorating at Tesoro! Moving sticks around, not feeding.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good morning everybody. I found ya!

Costume Lady said...

It would seem to me that leaving that egg alone in freezing temps for an hour would ruin it. Wonder what Lisa thinks?

Costume Lady said...

Sharon, I thought maybe you took off for Blackwater to cover that egg! LOL

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I thought somebody was going to have to!

Costume Lady said...

Suz, I have Norfolk.

Costume Lady said...

NORFOLK:

http://www.wvec.com/cams/eagle.html

Costume Lady said...

Sharon, what are your thoughts on an egg being in freezing weather this long?

Suzanne said...

Oh no, BWE cam just went flooey! Lines and split screen. Now it's even worse.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Wanda, it is worrisome but I have to remind myself A LOT that they probably know what they are doing. I panic when they are gone for 5 minutes so this hour stuff really gets me.

Costume Lady said...

Both eagles gone in Norfolk.
They really have picked a lot of bark off that tree. I wonder if they are putting it in the nest or are eating it. I know chickens eat gravel and small stones to help digest their food. Maybe that is why they are picking at the bark??

Suzanne said...

Thanks, Wanda. Mine usually comes up in Windows Media Player, but kept buffering this morning and not playing. Used your URL, and it's up.

Costume Lady said...

Maybe LISA will give us her thoughts.

Costume Lady said...

BWE egg alone again!

Costume Lady said...

It will never turn into a baby at this rate!

Costume Lady said...

Parent on nest. I think my site was unrefreshed.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' DANA!---I never did find what you call a group of DONKEYS?-----SUZANNE----TURKEYS are referred to as a 'RAFTER of TURKEYS'---& I didn't ask that question!!---ho!

wvgal_dana said...

Yes sorry Wanda thank you for asking. My fingers are swollen and arms hurt from holding that bundle of joy( but it was worth it). Cayden Alexander is his first and middle names. He was 8lbs 19" long but is now 7lbs something. Full head of hair. ( :

Suzanne said...

Morning, Deb. Hi to everyone. Been doing other things. See SD cam is dead in the water! Darn. GaoGao was strolling earlier, but now just the cam logo. Bummer.
Some donkeys are still milling about, and birds are now on PA cam. Love this new screen! Wanda, Gene said there were no males in that group of turkeys? Wonder why too.

Suzanne said...

Oh, thanks, Norma. Didn't know that. That was a huge RAFTER of turkeys earlier! I counted 10 of them! Wow, all girls, talk about a hen party!!!

normabyrd said...

FOUND IT!!!----A "DROVE"---A "HERD" or A "PACE" of DONKEYS!!

Suzanne said...

Both owls in the hotel!

Suzanne said...

Norma, make up my mind! Let's just say there were a lot of turkeys on the cam. You pick one! LOL.

Suzanne said...

EGG TURNING BWE!

wvgal_dana said...

*What is a group of donkeys called?

A herd. Although you may have heard the answer "a pace of asses" on a popular "Win money" Game Show, no references ANYWHERE can be found to support this answer. It is certainly not in any of our archival books! We've found a number of websites that list this, and if you like, you can use it as an answer, but the official answer is this: Any group of equines is a herd - whether horse, zebra, donkey, mule, wild ass, or mixed species. A family group might be called a band if you are referring to a specific family - such as Midnight's band, and Blackie's band.

normabyrd said...

WHOA!! KIDS---That's a fun place---FINDING names for groups of animals, etc.-----1 EXAMPLE----Referring to the turkeys----(HOW MUCH IS THAT "RAFTER" in the rafter?)----ho!

MITS said...

MITS said...

you know what, Wanda, didn't see Annie on any of those pics, son was in an orange bathing suit and Annie was taking some pics, so she didn't plunge...you could not get down on the beach unless you were a plunger, or had a minor in the plunge, it all ran like clockwork..one of the DJ's remarked that he was going home and he could drive a 100 mph, because all the State Police were at the event..

deb said...

Norma, Jim is talking about the same video I put on here yesterday. The video was by Joe, the man who has the nest in his yard. Joe put it on his website now for everyone to see.

Suzanne said...

What video, Norma? I wasn't here yesterday, and haven't read any of those blogs.

Costume Lady said...

DANA, I heard you calling, but I was so far away that by the time I got here, they were gone. Thanks for trying! LOL

CAYDEN ALEXANDER, VERY NICE NAME, IMPRESSIVE. I know what you mean about holding the baby so long. When our first grandchild was born, I would hold her til my arms ached.

MITS said...

THINK THAT IS mEI with the fruit chicle.....Tian is on the other cam

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, Dana, very nice name. Glad Mom and Baby are now home!

deb said...

I was reading the Kent journal from last year and on Feb. 15 Lorraine said, the eagles have been working on the nest for a few weeks now. That would mean they need to get busy right about now!! Especially if they build a new nest.

normabyrd said...

PAULA!!---I agree!!!!---We "SHOULD" have a great view of ANNE & friend today!!----We spent all afternoon yesterday hunting for her!!----Then "SOMEONE" called her!!---Do you remember who that was??? ho!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Mits those pics were great and that water looked sooooo cold!!

MITS said...

MITS said...

Sharon some one said the water was in the 30's to low 40's....

normabyrd said...

SUZANNE---Check TAI now!!---He is trying to enjoy his fruitcycle lying back on the ground!!---LITTLE IMP!!

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like switch at BWE, Mom is back

Suzanne said...

Ok, thanks, Mits. They switched cams on me, Mei is usually on cam 1 and big Tai is on cam 2. But she is a dainty eater, isn't she? She hasn't moved a muscle since she got the thing!

wvgal_dana said...

Dave I went in to view your new pictures. WOW America is a beautiful bald eagle. She is injured and they use her for show?
The golden eagle picture reminds me of the video I seen "going in for the kill". It just has a different look in the eyes.
Thank you Dave for sharing your pictures. I enjoy seeing your work ty again.

paula eagleholic said...

Gorgeous pics, Dave. Do they have any info about America on their website?

wvgal_dana said...

I used the manual for Kent to see better. Looks like maybe they fill the nest with something. Then it snowed "don't see squirrel hole". Maybe Lorrine had the guy go up the tree this past weekend.

Mema Jo said...

Jill has been on Momsters' emails.
Robyn popped in Sunday when she heard of the BW Egg from her Mom.
Daphne is ok now that she has taken all of her medicine & GLO is fine and very busy!
By the time Megan could come in - the blog is probably too full for her to access! So she is probably ordering seeds and planning her flower beds! Nilla had been on one evening & had been not feeling well recently. Waiting to hear from TOM with an update on Sandra!!!
I had email from Vicky some time ago and she is busy at work.

normabyrd said...

WOW!--DANA!---I want to see INDIANA DAVE'S pics---Thanks!

Thanks for the updates, Jo. I was just wondering, Glo usually stops in briefly in the mornings, but it's been a while. Glad she's alright, and Daphnie is doing fine too! Figured Megan's cable guy hasn't been there, or else he's working on it.
Wow, sure can see our egg cup! Really stands out.

Well it is possible we won't see Anne if they don't change the cam back to where it was yesterday. It showed the sand and the bridge. There you would be able to see Anne. Not here I don't think. Well she said if you don't see her "just know she is praying at noon with us".

paula eagleholic said...

Or is that Lib?

What is that in our nest, at the edge of the grass and sticks.
