Well Liberty or Belle could spray painted the cam or put a cloth over it for X-RATED purposes. Waiting to see when they remove the cover lol those two can't keep it up all night. If not removed soon then we know something is definately wrong with the cam...

JO--Prayers for Ryan every night until he gets home. That makes me so sad. We just had a group of 18-or 19 year olds from our church deployed to Iraq. They spent their last Sunday at home in Church and as they stood being recognized by our minister, they all looked to be near tears (me too).

Jill - If you order from the website (www.delmarvaphotos.com)I think it is just a few days if you just get the picture. It ships directly from the printer. If you want one matted then I have create to set up a special item on the site and the photo gets shipped to me and I do the matting and ship it to you so it could take 10-14 days. If the intent is to frame it you should just get the photo without the matt. Cheaper and quicker.
NCTC cam page is back up but I'm getting the dreaded red x on the camera.

LATEST UPDATE FROM THE SAN DIEGO WILDLIFE PARK As of 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, the Wild Animal Park has sustained some fire and wind damage to some facilities, but the animals continue to be okay. Spot fires are still turning up and are being extinguished. A small core of employees are on hand to care for the animals while others are assisting with fire and wind damage. All the California condors remain safely at the fire-safe Paul Harter Veterinary Medical Center. However, one of the empty condor breeding facilities has been lost to fire. Again, the condors were already safely housed at the veterinary facility along with education animals. A storage facility containing Festival of Lights event materials was also burned. Winds have damaged trees throughout the Park, but again the animals and exhibits are weathering the storm.
They have also given an address for people who want to give a tax-free donation, and there are pictures on their site of giraffes and gazelles walking around outside among the smoke

I'm tired just from the dry winds and keeping track of the fire news, etc.
The winds are dying down a lot and changing direction slowly... normal is onshore from the SW. The humidity has risen from 8% this morning to 32% now.
So, the WORST OF THE FIRESTORM is over, although there will be a couple of days of high heat, which will make it difficult for the fire fighters.... More fire, more fire news, but the people fighting it should be able to get it under control now.
Rest easy, and we'll talk tomorrow.

Good morning, world. Rainy out, some places not so bad, other places pouring! Not too chilly, though, 65° in PA, 67° here in VA, so not so bad.
We have a nice pic on our cam, hope it stays that way if the kids decide to stop by and say hello.
Bai is sleeping rolled up in a ball, can't see Squiggles, so I'm guessing she has her tucked in to her chest. F&F still in color, long shot of the ledge, and Dolly is sleeping up against the ledge, not the wall or corner for a change.
Lisa updated the osprey website, interesting article on MSNBC.
Bai just moved, on her side now, and Squiggles is being held in mom's paws. Too cute.

There have been elephant groups with calves visiting the Pond at Pete's place. And many swallows hunting insects for their young...it's that time of year there.
I sent everybody a few shots of Dolly just before dark. Then she collapsed by the outside wall right where you see her now.

I have 5 cats, but Pharaoh was my mouser, so if I get one in the house, I'll probably be the one to catch it and put it out. Or down the toilet....

Morning, Mits. No, mice fit quite nicely in the toilet, and down they go! Had one get in a couple years ago, Pharaoh caught it and left it right where I'd see it (how nice of him), and I picked it up by the tail with a paper towel, and down it went! Gotta tell ya though, I was wondering what I was gonna do if it DIDN'T go down, but thank God, it went!
No eagles haven't been here yet, but see that white on the right of the pic? That was not there when I first brought up the cam, and one refresh it was. So I thought an eagle had popped in and that was the white head, but it's never moved, so I'm guessing they knocked a branch with leaves down into the nest.
Bai is sitting up watching Squiggles play and move around between her legs, that is so cute!
So ok, now that I said that, Bai is now covering Squiggles! Little toot must have heard me!!
I see that....last night right around the time they would visit, screen went completely black, and some people could not even access the site....don't know what it was really.

Suz, when I first turned on the puter, I,too, thought there was an eagle in our nest. When I refreshed and it didn't move, I realized it wasn't an eagle. I got up too late and missed the visit.

I tried to post my photos on the Momsters Album, but when "Browse" comes up, my Puter takes me to the wrong place. Not where my photos are stored.
WANDA, I always have problems when I try to do something there, like an avatar....everyone says it is easy, but to this day can't do it, so not even going to attempt to put picture on, but I do love to go to the albums, Jo and Paula and everyone have done a great job.

Wanda, I'm putting one on there now. When you hit browse, it takes you to My Pictures. Use the folder with the arrow to move to your directory where the photos are stored. OR, use the arrow in the file name box to find your directory. I just added several, but they're not in the order I want, so will rearrange them later. And add more later.
Good Morning everyone. I am up and getting ready to take my dogs over for coffee and dog treats. Back on schedule in IL , with more memories of my trip to NCTC than anyone could have imagined. It was awesome. Thanks to all of you who who have created both on and offline such a place to enjoy one of natures most beautiful living creatures, and a place to gather and meet those who also love eagles and These eagles Liberty and Belle in particular While I was there I also said hello to Big Boy, Ms In Between and Spunk. Saw what I decided to call a group of immature eagles soaring, and well imagination took off from there so I talked to them LOL.
Had fun for sure.

I just found that out...time saver for me! Pics are there, I'll put them in order by animals and raptors together, but not now, no time.

Well Suzanne That pretty much was my trip to NCTC, unless I have some rich uncle who dies and leaves me a fortune for travel and enables me to retire. Otherwise for me I use my vactaion time and travel money mostly to see my kids. I did need to see that nest and meet many of you too though so yes I did make the trip. Perhaps someday when I retire if the finances stay at all capable to do some traveling I will come again. Do you suppose we will all still be a watching this cam and these eagles and their young....oh my what a thought that is LOL. We can go to Lib and Belles tree, stop by to see Big Boy and family, swing on over to Ms. In Between, and then just sit there and absorb all the happenings at Spunky's place. Fun thoughts.
OK got to unpack and do some laundry today for sure. A few groceries are also in order.
