Jim, Bai actually pushed Squiggles away from her this morning! Didn't last long though, Squiggles didn't like it and kept moving around till she could touch Bai again. Then Bai just rolled back over and held Squiggles. She's a good mommie!! Adorable to watch them.
Glad it's that warm in Brisbane, I just worry now since we've already lost 2, don't want to lose a third!

Good morning all. 3 visits already today, that is ownderful. I am off tocoffee and dog treats then followed by a Staff Meeting and major dog food shopping at Walmart...who has just redecorated or remodeled and I can find nothing but other lost shoppers from the moment I enter the store.

Morning Dana and Glo and everyone. Had my computer locked out and couldn't get back on. After several calls to various people, seems I am working again. At least for a while.
Jim, think the light is still on, you can sorta see it by the ledge and the building. Chick hasn't moved though, hope she's just very very tired. Pic is fuzzy, gets worse during the day. Mits told me yesterday that after it goes to B&W, pic gets fuzzy for about the last week or so. Noticed yesterday getting worse as our day progresses, and their night progresses. Guess we can't do anything about that.
Now, before this %(*)*%&$% goes down again, I better send pics from this morning's visit!

When I wrote that comment is was very clear for nightcams, but now it's back to blur and more blur.
I think I can see Frieda's tail on the wall which edges the ledge.

Jim, I think you're right! Someone's tail feathers are showing on the cam. Phew, sure makes me feel better knowing one of the parents is SOMEWHERE near.

Jim I was able to see the video on Hyde the immature eagle and Pimu the mature eagle. Awesome eagles.
I also got to see the pics of them trapping the eagle. Looks like they got the perfect one. She is beautiful...transmitter on now and they should get good information I'm hoping; ie diet, DDT and etc.

Did you see that???? Mom sorta threw Squiggles out of the way! Too funny. Bai is making her bed with bamboo or straw, and just moving Squiggles like she's part of the bedding! Poor thing!

Yeah, Paula, I have no time during the week to get anything done. Home for only a little over 3 hours before I have to go to bed to start all over again! And the first hour is taken up with feeding and watering the various animals/birds and plants that live at my house. Maybe if we do it again next year.

Interesting day at the zoo yesterday, Dana. Had not one but 2 kids get their knees stuck in the railings in the panda house....got the first one out with soap, but the second one was later and the cam room was locked, and could not get the soap, but lucky a man was there who said to lift the knee towards the top and knee came right out, also had a very disgrunted woman who didn't like anything.....that's why I get paid the big bucks:):):).

Mits, I don't either. I had 7 delayed delivery messages this morning, all of them to Ceil, and one to Ceil and Wanda. The one to Ceil and Wanda was the Lib and Belle pics from yesterday. So I wrote her a note here on the blog, and she sent me an email. I responded to her email, but asked her a question too. Never received an answer, so she probably didn't get that email either, though I don't have a delayed delivery message for it.
Thought her mailbox was full. Guess not. Did she get the pics of the Lib and Belle visits this morning?
Squiggles is alone, and they were zooming in on her, but now she's in a little ball!

Most definitely a carp. Big one, too.
The drought is drying up a lot of the water in our pools. Well, our pools were already dry for the summer, but there are some areas that hold water at all times of the year, which are now going dry. There are usually fish that dwell in these areas, and most get eaten as the water goes down by heron, egrets, etc. These carp got in there somehow, and as the water gets lower, they use up their oxygen and die. Since these carp are exotic and cause bottom damage, we don't shed any tears over their deaths. More food for the vultures and eagles.

Afternoon dear ones, been reading over the blog. Mid term here and up to eyeballs in essays. My Daddy and my dear Aunt loved to fish and told me a wonderful way to fix carp. I just have to share it. Step one: catch carp step two: go to nearest hen house and collect chicken poop. Step three: roll carp in chicken poop. Step 4: Bake in oven 2 hours on 460 degrees. Step 5: remove crust step 6 and 7: eat crust throw away carp. I have heard the other version too. Bake on poplar plank, throw away fish and eat plank. We got a few sprinkles of rain day before yesterday. Not enough to satisfy the thirst of a good sized praying mantis. Please help us pray for rain.
