JIM-- Thanks for the heads up on the new thread. I guess I havn't gotten enought rest from yesterday's activities and am not very alert. Glad you know whats up!
I will try once again: Costume Lady said... Brought this comment over from last thread for those who are interested: Costume Lady said... HELLO TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NOT AT ROMNEY AND WERE NOT AT OPEN HOUSE OR DINNER LAST NIGHT----I HAVE POSTED A FEW PHOTOS OF ANNE-MARIE AND GLO FOR YOU TO VIEW ON MY "WANDA'S WISHES" BLOG SPOT. The two of them are both lovely ladies inside and out. Wish you could have met them. Hope they enjoyed their visit as much as we enjoyed meeting them.
Wonderful pictures, Steve. Chloe is beautiful as is the Kestral. The kestral kept using its beak to try to untie the knot and free itself. Going thru emails and wanting to check out other photos that have been posted. Be right back
SORRY JIM--As I said, I am not very alert today. Maybe I had too many Eagle Talons & Poop Shooters. LOL Click on my name and then on my "Profile" click on Wanda's Wishes. There are just a few photos so you all can see Anne-Marie and Glo, whom none of us had ever met before yesterday.
No, Wanda, Norma did not appear. I think she planned to stay at Lisa's. I now have her ticket from Anne and will mail it to her.It will be honored for a year.. We'll get her on that train yet! Had I been able to have been contacted, I had Lisa's home number. It just wasn't meant to be, I guess.
Well, Wanda, the Malibu fire is not very close, but there are approx. a dozen wildfires in So Cal, the winds and temperature are very high, the humidity is very low.
We all used to go crazy from the winds, the heat, the sandblasts to the face and the tumble weeds blowing everywhere and piling up against the houses during the Santa Ana Winds when I lived in the country in San Diego County!
And you should have seen the way it affects cats...you've heard the term "nervous as a cat." Well, multiply that by at least 10, and you can imagine the time.
Howdy Folksss... What awonderful time it was last night at the Dinner.. The hugs were great the laughter was loud... the meal was fantasic as always and a good time was had by all... Even when i didnt win anything .. sniff but my own pieces of pie that were left..lol Actually they were divided up... Am so looking forward to a Christmas Party.... as i was looking back on last years party and only afew of us were there NOW bunches n bunches of Momsters have joined in!!! Sorry to say my Jasmin is sick and her mother is now taking her to hospitol as she is wheezing badly... Diana is behind me laughing out loud her daddy is playing with her... Thanks for all the love you showed the babies, but they are little Momsters too.... I just cant wait to see all the pictures in the albums .. I hope we find out if Glo 7 Vicky 7 Iris seen the eagles this morning too...
NILLA--So sorry your little angel isn't feeling well. Prayers for her, of course. She and little Diana were an absolute joy last night. Never have I seen two babies so good for so long. They are both adorable.
Paula it is just COPs WALK which of course stands for families of policemen/policewomen that have died in the line of duty. The ladies (might be men I didn't see any but could have been) are going into different towns doing a walk. There they were doing a 25 mile walk for their charity. Jo said I think they were in Harpers Ferry too. They will be going other places too. Thank you for prayers for them.
The Potomac Eagle Train I left home at 10am and returned at 7pm. Due to Iris' cane for walking & my oxygen for breathing, we were given the privilege of boarding the train with our guests at a separate car. Glo,Vicky,Jennifer,my hubby boarded with us. We spread out & had enough seats saved JUST in case we could find the other 6 Momsters. Jennifer walked through the cars & found them. Carol,Anne & Diane, Megan, Robyn & Tori were the other 6. The foliage driving up was breathtaking! We sighted an eagle's nest and about 2 that were flying high. When Robyn,Glo,Anne & Megan were out in the open car they sighted a Juvie flying along the river. And that is the clickety clack, clickety clack of the story. Hopefully Megan, Carol, Glo, Vicky, Iris & Robyn will add their thoughts. Anne & Diane will have much to tell when they return.
Bob-don't you dare take down Norma's picture, she is a beauty. She fusses at me for posting them so now she can fuss at you. LOL.
Glad everybody had a good train ride, wish I could have been with you but duty calls. Even if they didn't call me in all day. Figures. Going to check out some more pictures.
Wanda-Zach loved the hat. He is trying to figure out a costume to go with it. They had it over behind Buffalo Wild Wings riding skateboards with it on. They were hilarious.
Jo summed it up well, and the open car was really cool, with no roof you could really see everything. I saw one red tailed hawk, a heron, 1 juvenile eagle and about 3 adults. The lady working on the train said the eagles were seen flying more on Saturday:( And the car right before that had large open windows you could hang our of(shh..don't tell JO I was hanging out the window again) And one of the ladies working on the train wants one of Wanda's beautiful necklaces quite badly! She gave me her name and adress to see if she could get one. She was really checking out Anne's necklace. Bob Q's pictures from Saturday are great. That is such a nice picture of Norma. What a great weekend with such a wonderful group of people. Off to bed, up at 5 tomorrow ,cause darn, it's Monday again..
Good morning, world. Had a wonderful time at NCTC Open house Saturday, and we had absolutely beautitul weather! See Steve put up a couple pics, awesome! Loved that wolf, he was beautiful, as were all the Raptors and other animals. I love Lemurs, and they had one, it was the cutest thing! Will have to go see what everybody blogged, and try to catch up. Don't have my pics developed yet, will do that today or tomorrow and post them. It was super to see everybody again, and so nice to meet Glo and Annie, and Bob Quinn and relatives! Bob, we lost you after the Raptors did their tunnel, which was awesome! Megan and Robyn helped with that too, how cool was that! Safe travels home everyone! We have a nice pic on our cam, but of course MT, and too much activity on Sat to see Lib and Belle. Hope everyone saw lots of eagles on the eagle train yesterday. F&F cam is in color, but new view, and only see MT ledge. No idea where Dolly is. Bai and Squiggles and sleeping, and looks like mom is on her tummy, and can't see Squiggles at all. All haave a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Thought i better drop in before going to bed... Its almost 4:30am and just got home from hospitol ... Jasmin gave us quite a scare... being apreemie they did test for RSV (hope thats right the lung thing preemies get) and they also tryed to cather her for urine sample and after 3 times trying i said NO MORE... they agreed and they took Xrays of her lungs.. all this time i am praying and she didnt have what they thought and was put on Amoxicillin twice a day... She is still a sick lil girl but she just smiles... Well i am so tired ... Hope everyone has agreat day and eagles in the morning... Hugs, Nilla
Morning, Nilla! Sorry to hear about Jasmin, hope she's ok! Go to bed and get some sleep! Wish I could, always have a hard time getting to bed on Sunday night, and then sleeping and trying to get up on Monday mornings! Give Jasmin a hug for me.
Glancing back at the blogs, I did see Bob's photos! As always, Bob awesome pics!! I didn't know you didn't know where we were going, we would have taken you in hand!!! We were all asking for you, and of course, nobody had your cell number. And I love the pic I bought from you, it is absolutely beautiful! I didn't notice, but that's the metal paper or whatever it was that was discussed on here a while back. I think that is georgous! It really does bring out everything. Need to get hold of you, or will have to go back and look for your link, that was just the first of several I'd like to get of your photos!!!
F&F is not B&W, but fairly in focus, but still no Dolly.
Uh oh, PC just locked up, so gonna post this before blogger cop gets it!
Wow, this upgrade amazes me every day. I have the Africam up, and there is a couple ducks, zoomed in on one, and she/he is just quacking! You can see throat moving and mouth open. How cool is that. And wind is blowing. Have no clue what kind of duck, but it's just resting and making noise. Bai and Squiggles still sleeping.
GOOD MORNING SUZ-- Wasn't Open House wonderful. I went to the Animal Show (in the auditorium) while waiting on you gals to show up. I enjoyed that sooo much. I have some photos that I will post later from that show.
Morning, Wanda, yes, it was wonderful! And we were so lucky with such wonderful weather! Megan, Norma, and her daughter, and I did the Battson's Critters too, but not till end of the day. Watched the raptors, then the critters. Awesome! Wasn't that wolf beautiful? Georgous creature. I'll post my photos sometime before Wednesday...
I am so sorry that you didn't know about our little Eagletailgate Party. That was my fault, because I posted the invite the EVENING of Friday, not thinking about you not being on here. Could have told you at NCTC, but just wasn't thinking. We had Eagle Talons again and Poop Shooters (they tasted better than they sounded).
Did the Python (or was it a Boa?) wrap around the leg of the holder? That was hysterical. Don't know if it does it everytime someone holds it or not. Hope it did when you watched the show. I went into the auditorium too late to catch anyones names. Do you know the name of the man and his wife handling the animals?
Wanda, yes, the Python was tightening around the legs. Didn't get first names, but show is Battson's Critters. Megan says they are there every year, and bring different animals each time. Only thing they ALWAYS bring is a snake, rest are all different. BBIALW, gotta do something before kids arrive.
Squiggles is nursing. Dolly is back in her corner, cam back to normal view. She sure is getting big! Ducks still on Africam. Looks like that gigantic pen is still in our nest. They're due any time if they're coming. Still kinda dark out yet, though, so maybe in a few minutes.
Wanda, there are some pics on the momsters page of evening visits on Sat and Sun. Think they're evening, don't remember the times. Wait a minute, didn't you post some pics? Think Dana has a couple out there too, from yesterday.
Just opened NZ. Looks like someone wants out of that door. Ok, change cams that quick. And Squiggles was alone, but mom's back now. Oh, she's holding squiggles with all 4 legs, how cute is that! I think that panda just got out the door. Looks like he/she's moving a big wire cage or something.
Oh, door is opening, and panda is gone.. Now showing one on the rocks. Don't know the areas yet, so no clue where this is or who this is. Just a cutie, that's for sure!
Ok, those 2 pandas, one is now on his back. Thought Tai did that? Is he in with someone else, like mom? One is sitting eating, one is on his back eating.

It is what it is!!!GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!
Good night, Mits. Thanks, Mema Jo. I will go to Wanda's pics next.
Did you read about the wildfire in Malibu?
We are really getting some humungous Santa Ana winds with LARGE GUSTS today, so if a fire breaks out, watch out!!
Jim
Jim--We did hear about the fires. Are they very close to you?
JO--Did Glo, Vicky & Iris go to the nest this morning and if so, did they see Lib or Belle?

Anne was headed straight to Williamsburg.
Glo,Vicky & Iris were to be at Iris' for the night before heading home.

Eagle in BW! Hope our make an appearance too!
Ok, guess our kids are either sleeping in or having another cup of coffee! Eagle still in BW.
Maybe all the visitors and excitement of Open House has their routine messed up. I wonder if anyone saw them yesterday morning.
BW eagle took off. Ours still sleeping in...
Wanda, there are some pics on the momsters page of evening visits on Sat and Sun. Think they're evening, don't remember the times. Wait a minute, didn't you post some pics? Think Dana has a couple out there too, from yesterday.

Both eagles still in BW, one is in and out.Two pandas in NZ eating and arguing over bamboo. They both want the same stalk!
