Know you are really going to enjoy your new home at the lake. We LOVE our trailer and we are thinking about heading out next week for a few days.
Paula, glad Nugz continues to recover from the surgery. Now for your car to "recover". Loved the news story about the eagle and the fish. Having been at a t-ball game last night and taking pictures through the fence, I could just imagine the thrill of taking that picture of the eagle. Will tell Jacob about that story!

Have not lived near my sister nor my brother since I got married. We have to go months without seeing each other. When we were all busy raising kids it would go a year before we could get together. We made Thanksgiving our get together time and we would have a ball.

Poor Mattie....what a strange thing to have happen. Hope it all subsides quickly.
Yeah, Lynn. She thought that she had been sucking on that side of her mouth since it was numb and just didn't realize she was hurting it. I put ice on it and she went to her Mom's to spend the night. She woke up yesterday morning and her little mouth and face were swollen all they would hold and her ear was killing her. Becky took her to the dentist and they said it was something that happens sometimes. They gave her Augmentin and I put sweet oil in her ear last night when she went to bed. She looked alot better this morning, still swollen some.
Best wishes for Mattie today. Hope she comes home much improved.
Paula, we are moving together. HP has yet to again provide me grace.
I'n so excited. I get scarded that something will happen and the move won't go through.

We are back from the Marina. He was so excited when we pulled in to our usual parking spot. He knows when we get to certain places and he knew "we were there". I love that sound I heard. It said OK lets celebrate. We had a nice walk and a nice stroll too. Its pretty warm and humid so he was panting a little bit by the time I decided to carry him back the rest of the way for some water and a stroll. Next on our day of celebration is Cube Steak cake :-).
It doesn't end in ding and will require me to actually use the stove.
Special prayers for Shirley in a little over an hour and if I read right I think Mattie needs some prayer too.
I need a cold drink and a little rest time myself.
Hedgie Yes NBG had infrared last year but they stopped it this year do to the cost factor. Wildlife Center did however offer and NBG took them up on providing that as well once they could get it up and running. Folks around the world of course are continuing to watch and loving to see those eaglets well even grow to fledge without their Mom or Dad. I haven't watched this one too closely this year either although I did catch that first hatch and video etc and well have followed the little ones survival every few days. Not going to get attached to a face or personality. But all 3 continue to be doing fine even with that little trace of lead in one of them. We do need to Get the lead out
GLO, Sounds like a great time. Happy Birthday DEX! I'll have to try Cube Steak cake for FloBear next year. His b-day is in January and I made a turkey meatloaf cake with peanut butter frosting. It was very popular. Dalai's b-day is next month so maybe she'll get cube steak cake if you'll share the recipe.

Another busy day...yesterday, had teeth cleaned and a broken (another) tooth filed down til it can be repaired ($1,050.00). Then, visited GG after an urgent call from her saying she needed me quickly. She was in quite a bit of pain. I think she needs MEDICAL WEED:) Then, we went to the Nursery for plants for our Tub Garden and flowers for GG's flower bed.
Getting ready now to take GG to get her do done. BBL

good to hear Nudge doing better and ventured in yard more a little explorer huh I hope you get your car back soon My daughter had a wreck two weeks now and they still haven't gotten it fixed can't seem to find a compressor She was driving on 275 or 75 going home and something flew up and hit her front end took her radiator out and messed up air cond compressor and other stuff over 3T so far to fix it I can't believe they are taking so long

Checking in here. Said another prayer for Shirley at her appt. time. Have had her in prayer today.
Called the vet this morning about Emma swallowing 1/2 of the plastic tag on her collar, and she wants to take the conservative route. We are to watch her carefully, and if she becomes lethargic, vomits, gets diarrhea, or seems to be in pain, we will take her in for an X-ray. Chances are she will pass the tag fragment without problems. I'll look for it in her poop. She pooped quite a bit this morning, but it wasn't in there. She seems fine, so far so good.
Prayers for Tom and Mattie! Poor Mattie! I had no idea there could be such a reaction! Glad she's feeling better. Glad Tom's better, too!
Happy to hear of Sharon's & Thelma's upcoming move.
Prayers continue for Dr. Baker & family, Nugz & Paula, Sandi, and Judie (hope the thumb gets diagnosed soon!).
Hubby is REALLY sporting a technicolor leg today! The Dr. said this would happen before it got better. He feels better, and plans on going back to work tomorrow.

Sticks raked up in front of house now! Slowly but surely.....I'm getting stuff done. Can't do much, and what I can do, it's slow, but every task accomplished is one less to do! Think I'll dead-head the hyacinths and jonquils (which didn't bloom!) and that will be it for today. Leaf blower work tomorrow. And maybe even some mowing, if the mower starts!

Has been raining for close to an hour now. Have not been out to check the rain gauge yet. Radar is showing (I think) the lakes getting good showers. That is good, really good. It is so dark here that the sensor has brought on some of the yard lights. ☺
Lynn, I hear you! Clean up in the spring is such a job. Just do a little at a time and do not over do! Now if I would only listen to my own advice! Our clean up is done, just routine clipping and mowing now and attempting to keep it green. The larkspur are still so pretty, the prettiest we have ever had. The poppies are starting to die back and letting them go to seed. They are not pretty as they die back.
Jack just came in, said we are up to .6. I will take that. Good chance for more.☺

Kathryn came in just behind me earlier. Hunter had gone to the nurse with a headache and she picked him up a little early at school.
She said he did not look good at the time. Seemed congested and she used the Neti Pot. He is fine now and they went to his baseball game. I decided to stay home this time. I hope they aren't upset with me.
Until this morning, I did not feel particularly stressed, but today I was pretty uptight, and I just wanted to sleep after I went to the doctor's. I had slept fine last night--after taking some Benadryl.

Well this is the third sunny day in a row in Nelson, so I am headed off for a walk on the beach for a an hour or so before it gets dark. Part of me wants to see Belle, if she shows up, but I think since tomorrow is going to be a rainy day heading out now is a good idea...I will catch up with the blog and I hope there is an entry of a visit...
Apparently Dadster Bob did not hear the latest rules....NO MORE FALLS!!!!! Golly, I hope his injuries are not too bad.
We have had just over an inch of rain. Wahooo! Think it is letting up for the night but more chance of rain tomorrow. I will go for that! No, the drought is not broken, but this certainly helps. We would have to have multiple repeats of today to get rid of the drought.

Got my "do" did. Then met the orthopedic hand specialist. Nice guy-- did lots of education. Xrays show arthritis in left metacarpotrapzial area (thumb joints) which is severe enough that I essentially have bone rubbing bone. The fall may have aggravated the area. Surgery will cure but requires two months in a cast and four more months for complete recovery. I am not ready for more incapacitation. Said to just focus on what I am doing with my left hand to try to control movement.

Well, arthritis that severe really stinks. Was he talking about a joint replacement? Knew a gal at work who had bilaterals----with great success. She was almost totally incapacitated before, and after recovery was totally fine!!!
But right.....don't rush into it yet.....you've been through enough!
Paula---LOL! I may be totally immersed and enchanted....but I am NOT playing tooth fairy!!! Gotta tell you, tho'---she fell asleep on my lap during Jeopardy ON HER BACK!!! So cute. I just rubbed that soft, smooth, plump tummy the whole time! She has NO HAIR on her tummy----it is a delicate pink with black freckles of all sizes!! Wished I'd had the camera near at hand, but couldn't reach it on coffee table withut disturbing her!
