Good afternoon! Wow! Just took a chance - hope this will publish.
Geeezze!! Was off the blog for a couple days myself because I wasn't feeling well only to come back and find it was GONE!!
Read through the gazillion emails which helped me catch up a little bit!!
IMHO - I do like FB, but I kind of like the fact that not EVERYONE I know as a frined on FB knows about this blog and I think this one has a bit more intimacy between our group. On FB everyone that is listed as a friend can see what you post where and can join in.
Of course, I'm good with whatever the "seasoned members" want!!
I think we just need a fan page for us to post video also and naturally keep the Blog I like the intimacy part also PA LYNN
If you remember PammySue wanted to do one but couldn't because of family issues HOpe her grandmother is doing ok

Scott - Is there a way to make it like our own FB pages where information is not shown unless you are friended, to protect what is said and posted? If this one isn't set up that way, could we have done one like a personal FB page?
@PA-Lynn (Linda) Being a fan page it is not like that. It would have to be a standalone page.
I can add as many adminstrators as I like, which I will be happy to do. I have already cut the profanity level filter to moderate. I can even put in keywords that if it sees that from a post it will mark a post as spam until an administrator goes in and marks it as non-spam. Until it is marked, it is not viewable to anyone except admins.
Okay, I was just asking because I think we are comfortable chatting with one another here, but not as much on FB where anyone can view.

PA-Lynn (Linda) I see what you are getting at, but this blog basically is handled the exact same way. Anyone can see it but you have to log in to post. Only Facebook people can see it and they can't post until they become a fan. If it is a HUGE issue with everyone, then I can look into a separate page. It is much harder to administer however.
anyone can be looking here to Linda...sometimes the site meter shows MANY folks who are signed in but not blogging

Scott is right everyone can read what we put on here they just can't comment unless the have a google acct My daughter and friend said they have peekied on us before and they both don't have accts so its is about the same as face book I have my FB acct blocked only people I have friend with can access but if I comment on any of my friend page their friends can see my psot I hope this make sense with out me re reading I can't beleive belle is still on nest

So, how is everyone?! It's a beautiful day here in SoCal! About 70 right now, with a gentle breeze with a hint of coolness to it. Expected high is 72.
Guess I need to read backward a bit. Looks like Belle and Truder have been pretty busy at the nest. Lots of greenery. BBIALW.... :o]
Celebrating my anniversary today. Actually met my husband on Friday the 13th and married on year later on Saturday the 13th. This is our 22nd!

Wanda - I think many of us feel that way. FB is okay if you want to post some pics there of the eagles or the nest activity, but the discussions will most likely stay here in our own little blog that most people don't check in on.
Sure there are some that lurk, but you can cruze around on FB and find ALL SORTS of things......which we don't want to see happen here. We're too close and personal here for FB posts!

Yea, I am so glad we have our blog back. Have "liked" the fb page and it will be good to use, but I do like our blog. Yes, people can read this but we are not that easy to find.
Worked in the yard and just now came in. Going to clean up and enjoy the rest of the day. Time for a game of ladder ball with Jack while I sip a glass of wine. Yes, Lynne....I am what I drink! LOL

Today would be my Daddy's 100th birhtday. Can not dwell on that...makes me sad!
Had a doggy moment while working in the yard. I had finished my share of the mowing and was getting ready to edge when all of a sudden I had a companion on my patio. A nice size doggy! We do not have a fenced yard. He was a sweetheart. Read his tag, his name was Zeke and he lived way down the street. Tried to call but nobody was at home. So, we loaded him up and took him home. Another dog greeted us in the drive, and they both walked to the gate as if they wanted in. So, we put them in the back yard. Will try to call the people this evening.
No, Linda, she didn't but she tried to do it on the sly! She is just hurting herself! What can I say?!!! LOL

Thats great Lolly I am glad the doggie came to you and you got them both back on the right side of the gate. Someone must have not closed it all the way or a doggie nose or paw nudged it just right and they got it open. Ya never know. Must have good home to have their name and number on their tag though. :-)
