Shirley - great pics and video of the young eagles being released. Looks like they had quite a turnout. Did they mention if they banded the eaglets? I noticed at least one was banded.
Driving home from grocery store and I noticed that pretty moon up there and quite a few stars are also visible. I guess the storm system has moved on because there were still a lot of dark clouds when I left the house. Yesterday evening I think I actually saw the ISS. It was moving fast - it was a bright silvery object.. I'm not sure that is what it was but it sure was pretty! (Margy or Mits will tell me I'm sure)
Loreeda does rain dances? Go to it, girl! Texas needs rain!!LOL Actually, we do need rain, but we did get a sprinkling and it is only 80 right now. Very pleasant! Jack cooked dinner tonight...we had omelet, sausage and toasted homemade bread and then we sat outside and finished our bottle of chardonnay.
Just thinking about Lowreeda. Her daughter is in Austin and they need rain more than we do. Are you sure she does rain dances???
Good chance we are going back to Dallas Thursday. Suggested we come over Thursday, spend the night and then take care of Zach all day and prepare dinner. Bets are on whether or not they will accept our proposal. (Ashley's mom keeps Zach everyday, not sure this will go over well with her.)
Do not think she wants to share. For some reason she is insecure and can not accept the fact that Zach has a Grandmommy and a Grandaddy, too. Crazy, huh?
Lolly, I've been doing raindances for up here & they haven't been too successful, but I'll give it a try!! Saw on TV today, pics of ramps & docks at Lake Travis! Horrible!!Everything sitting on dirt. Welcome Home, Deb. Blessings for you and Dana & Ed.
Lolly - we are trying to get the house ready to go on the market in September. We have a lot of maintenance items to do...paint entire house (except basement, which is unfinished), replace 5 exterior doors, update bathroom fixtures, take down wallpaper in 4 rooms (3 baths, TG), replace all door handles, outlet covers, switch covers, replace deck, remove and replace backyard steps, tear down and remove shed. We have 7 weeks left, wish us luck!
OH, yeah, and refinish half the hardwood floors in 4 bedrooms and clean the rest of them.
We are refinishing the floors in the 4 bedrooms, the rest of them are covered with carpet, which we are tearing up. The floors underneath are really pretty - funny, it was the "in" thing then to have wall to wall carpet, nowadays it's hardwood floors.
I am hoping for one DAY a month! Do you know that Laurel asked repeatedly to keep Zach for the move and they (or Ashley) ignored her completely. He is 2 1/2 and she has never kept him. (Whoops! Excuse me....getting on my soap box!)
Thank you, Lowreeda! Appreciate all the help you can give us! Any of you who care to do a rain dance for Texas....would appreciate it!
Oh,Paula, you really have your work cut out for you. Hope you really get your money's worth after all the work you put into the house.
For a very touching story, go to the address below and read pages 9-10 in the magazine. It will bring tears to your eyes. The blogger is not allowing me to make a blue link. Either I am doing something wrong, or it does not like the pdf or something.
I was looking for the material on the eagles to see if it said anything about banding. Judie is the best source for most of what was said. I was so focused on the camera, I did not hear everything.
I was wondring if they had some kind of homing device on the eagles. I saw something strange in one of the pictures. I'll see if I can find it.
Geesh, Paula...whatever happened to 'for sale as is"???? You will never get back out of it what all of that will cost. (Did I ever mention that I used to be a real estate agent?) Great letter, Shirley! Neat!!
Yes, Paula, I am sure it was Ed Clark--bare hands and all. Maybe he just wants to touch the eagles, and that is why he does not wear gloves. The article was in a packet of materials they gave me Saturday.
Paula, the thing I saw on the eagle is visible on the head of the 4th picture of the series of release pictues. I hope it is not a tick. Surely they would have removed something like that.
ISS would have passed over your area around 9:01 pm Saturday night, from the NNW, at about 55º (pretty high in the sky) and brightness of -3.5 which is about as bright as Venus! So, maybe so...☺
I have to tell a funny story from overnight work Saturday night. Passing motorist reported a large black thing in the middle of the road, thought it was a bear, not moving, feared it was deceased, could not stop to check. We sent police out. It was a large, brown piece of stuffed furniture. Whew!
Maybe some pictures of the Eagle Release can be posted on the Eaglet Momsters for those who cannot access the Blog? Just an idea...think Suzanne for example would enjoy seeing some of them.
Welcome Home Deb , good to have you back.
Time for Sleep....
Good Night Everyone, and God Bless Us, Every One xo ♥
Can't sleep--thinking about DC Eagles. I thought the road thing had been resolved unless I read wrong a letter that I think Hedgie got stating US FWS regulations. Nothing can be disturbed within 660' of a nest I think it said & they only allowed a fence to be erected.
Bummer!! We finally finished our kitchen. That has been a process for sure, almost two weeks, but it sure looks good. It has been needing a makeover for years!!
hubby just left to go to the office, looks like he will be running into rain..he got here on Friday, I cooked 2 nights and last night we went out....been trying to get him to do that for as long as we have had condo....
Our power flickered last night and I thought it had zapped my computer but I unplugged it for a minute and then it restarted. Scared me, just bought this computer last week, for crying out loud! Thundered and rained some but not too bad.
It is so quiet here. Tom stayed at his Mom's last night, Mattie is with Sharon in Bedford! Gonna be a long week. Tom has to work 2nd shift all week, bad as I hate it!! So, it is gonna be quiet around here. That is a good thing sometimes but certainly not all the time!! How's the family Mits? M&M girls good?
Till Thursday, bad as I hate it! But it is good for her to get away a while. She never goes anywhere!
We haven't been to the lake in a couple of weeks and it is going to be a couple more before we can go. Seems like this has been such a busy summer. We haven't been down there hardly any (well, seems like it anyway).
Good morning. Hunter is here for the day, but I think he's going to sleep for awhile.
I should be able to put some eagle pictues on the e-mail. Does anyone know what that small pink thing is on the eagle's head? You can see it in a couple of pictures.
I noticed that it is visible in a couple of the pictues. When I looked back over the pictues, you can see that the handler is wearing his glasses in some and not in others. He walked aroud with two different eagles, and that is how I can tell which eagle he has. I am sure some people would be able to tell by looking at the eagles.
GOOD MORNING... Looking at Shirley's photos, I was thinking how great it was that there were so many people interested in the welfare of the eagles. In the 4th photo, down, you can see Jim Moran...wow, an official interested in the welfare of eagles. OK, Jim, I think someone needs to send you a letter about the DC eagles;)
SHELTON, Conn. — Police in Connecticut say they've seized more than 100 canaries and arrested 19 people in connection with a bird fighting operation.
They say residents of a home in Shelton were preparing the birds to fight Sunday morning when they were arrested. The road leading to the home has been kept closed while animal control officials put the canaries in large cages and take them away.
Canaries generally are known as small songbirds that make good pets. But they can become aggressive and fight with each other, especially during breeding season.
Neighbors say they had no idea bird fighting was occurring at the home.
The names of the people arrested and the charges against them haven't been released.
Violence seems to be a way of life for a lot of people. I think you have to be a little bit "sick" to enjoy something like that. I'll bet Judie will agree.
Sissy, is Sharon on vacation? Is she working while she is at Thelma's? Mattie is sooo excited about having her bedroom re-nestorated:) Is that at your house?
Wanda, don't think outdoortv can do anything about cam....it is an onsite problem from the storm. Tried to email Jim Moran...another Eleanor Holmes Norton thing---only constituents from his district can send. So Judie will have to be the point person on him!!! I am in the procews of writing to Dr. Clark, tho'---sure that he'll be interested. Hey, Sissy. good to see you back with us!
Loretta, to answer your question last night....the road is still scheduled to be built in that location....the 660' buffer and fence is between the nest and the planned road.
I thought they were speaking of the little pinkish thingy closer to the eagle's eyes, right in the middle of it's forehead...looks like a wart or mole, as Sissy said. The other pink growth is, indeed, the handlers finger:)
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!---CONGRATS!---'SISSY'---you are our #1 EAGLE MOM today--and every day!---MORNIN' SISSY---MITS--SHIRLEY-- WANDA---& HEDGIE!---WOW!---There is a whole lotta blogging going on this am!! AND THAT IS A GOOD THING! SHIRLEY---'I can see you & your squirrel are bonding! ho!----phone call interruption---will continue in a min!...............
Had a funny thing happen yesterday when I went to pick up the hardwood for my living room floor. It shows that it is a good idea to bargain for work to be done.
When I bought the wood and made the arrangements with Home Depot, the guy said about $800. I said okay. Then he called and said $1,000. I said, "Why $200 more? Guy said it's for the quarter round and an extra box of boards that you can return if they don't use it." I said something like, "Well . . . okay."
Went to store to pick up stuff. Different guy. Paperwork said $1,200. I said, "Whoa! I'm going to be going to a different store!" Got everything for $846.
Thx, Lynn, I couldn't remember exactly what your letter said & didn't know where to find it on blog. Re: release eagle's head-----that's Ed's fingertip under the feathers. Gotta road run---BBL
The explanation for the extra $200 on top of the $1,000 was that they were charging me for shoe molding. There is already shoe molding in the room. Never had said I wanted any.
cont.---& MORNIN' DEB!---I have another note!!----GRAND-KIDS are coming to visit this week---& I am supposed to be cleaning!---but--I just had to catch up with you folks!--(I think I'll call LOLLY--she loves to clean) KIDDING!--LIFE IS GOOD!!----SUN is shining--SKIES & 'BABY are BLUE---DEER are playing--(eating my shrubs)--ho!---BIRDS are singing---Let us all DANCE in the moist GREEN GRASS!---KISS a CHILD & HUG a TREE!!---
Norma, did you get you laundry done? I ran out of detergent, and now I am running behind again:( Have to force myself to go to the store...I hate to shop...even hate to shop for clothes, etc. Everything is tooo expensive...$50.00 for a blouse...not worth it! 5.00 to $9.00 a pound for fish? Forget it.
HEDGIE---keeping CAROLYN in my prayers---Pray that she will find a better job---The EAGLE MOMSTERS & DADSTERS have power through prayer-----STAY COOL----
Planning a birthday party for GeeGee this week, so, I guess I'll HAVE to go shopping:( She wants rib-eye steaks...whoa! $9-$10.00 a pound (she has good taste). Capt. Gene is looking in the store sale leaflets right now to see if any of the stores has some on sale:)
Good Morning All! Once again I sign on and get so involved in reading comments that I guess I am a lurker for the first 15 min or so! lol Shirley, Your article has another reply. It is mainly to the 1st comment made Norma enjoy your week with the kids! Margy - I really did see that ISS - Whoo Hoo for me!
Yes, the bird fighting (any animal fighting induced by humans) is sick. Sadistic personality type. Can be associated with personal violence.
Sad but touching pictures of swallows but was cheered by the deer washing the cat. Crippled Bambi eating my shrubs -- love Bambi but not the eating preferences.
Lynn, got the email. Will join in.
As for contacting J. Moran, I am not in his district but will try to find a contact. As Shirley now knows, my husband is on Board of Directors for Fairfax County Park Authority so am trying to make sure I don't create the impression of conflict of interest. I'll do my best.
Laundry for me also. In between, need to get back to school work.
Oh, about the thing on the eagle's head. Index finger and the other is just a downy type feather. I was up close for all three and did not see anything unusual.
Mits about your comment ref cooking and going out: Which one was it that you have been trying to have Jubby to at the Condo ?? Nice he stayed an extra night, hope his return to the work place went okay....
I will certainly do that Margy. I also have Mopsy and Buphals with me. Sissy and Becky are watching Hairy and Scoob for me. I am going back home on Thursday.
sorry, Margy, meant have been trying to get him to come down and do longer weekends at the beach, usually comes in Sat a.m. and leaves Sunday afternoon, but the man is busy, what can I say.
Wanda, new Target has steaks on sale! Thanks for continued support and prayers for my girl. She is still in a state of shock. And I still have a lump in my chest and stomach that just won't quit. Sissy, the "panda dog" is a composite pic!!! Think someone sent it to you in an email, too!
Vick has been out of jail for a couple of months; was released from halfway house, and then from home confinement last week. Don't know if he is still working construction job that he was doing as part of his post-release requirement. Had meeting w/ commissioner...any team would be totally stupid to hire him. Fans should revolt if they do.
Okay, Judie...guess I should have checked to see what 8th district included! Any thing you can do without causing you or Frank troubleis most appreciated!
HEDGIE!---I hope you don't have your 'squeezy stomach' too long!-- praying often--take care--love ya--
I bet VICK will try his darndest to play ball again--Read that he had worked out every day during his stay---but that is not the same as practicing with team, etc--
WHOA!---SHARON---Just think---if you moved to SHEPHERDSTOWN---Then your SON could go to SHEPHERDSTOWN UNIVERSITY!!----GOOD THINKING!!! ho!---and we could all come down in October & stay with you!! ho!
I put up a few pictures from this weekend. I will add more family pictures when my sister sends them out. She was 5 hours late getting home, finally got into LAX at 1 AM, but her car and luggage are at the Ontario Airport. They will go and get it later today.
Thanks Deb for the pictures. Corey had to be a great person. He liked eagles. How did everything go?Loved the chipmunks. When we were in Colorado I loved to feed them. So cute. Afternoon everyone. On my way back out BBL
PS Deb Feed your turtles. Jo we were coming back on the B&A blvd the other day and I saw a turtle just about to step out into traffic. Hope it changed its mind.
Margy and I had seen this before. I haven't had any response from Journal about contacting this photog to find out where the nest is, but thought you'd enjoy the pics!
Ceil, everything went really well. It was so nice to be with so many from my family. We suggested Seven Falls and Manitou Springs to get Bill and Nancy away from the house for a little while. We had a wonderful day. so I am glad we could get away. I should have taken a picture of Corey's license plates--another eagle, along with the program cover from the services.
Deb, thanks for sharing, as always. Corey was a very good looking young man. Did they determine that the pump malfunctioned?? Where did the long flight of stairs go? Those mule deer antlers are really velvety!! Was your sisters' flight diverted due to weather?
I have not left yet. Margy is going to going to get after me. Lynn nice pics. Deb glad things went well. Losing a child no matter how old is devasting. You go on but you never get over it.
The stairs went to the top of the falls. My sister's flight was mechanical problems and by the time they fixed that the crew was out of flying time. She took a flight into LAX just to get home.
It wasn't the pump. Corey went to the races on Sunday and and the temp was in the 100's. From what everyone has figured out, he ignored the signs that he his blood sugar was way out of whack, in the 700's and then gradually his body shut down and he went into a coma.

Be sure to look at Shirley's Eagle Release pics on her blog......
I just finished looking at them, Jo.
Shirley and Judy, what a wonderful day! Great job on the pictures.
Welcome home, Deb.
About my blog pic, sure wish I could have shaved off a few years and pounds.
Time to do a little reading and off to sleep.
Shirley, get your flashlight out --turning my light off. Goodnight, all.
Judie
So glad Judie and Shirley had a good time at the eagle release.
Dana - prayers for you and Ed. Treasure each moment.
I see I have lots of pictures to catch up on!
Great pic, Judie!!! Pretty lady!
good night everyone...prayers for all.
Pretty moon out there.
Gnite to those hitting the hay.
Shirley - great pics and video of the young eagles being released. Looks like they had quite a turnout. Did they mention if they banded the eaglets? I noticed at least one was banded.
Nice pic Judie!
I didn't see this mentioned on the blog!
Shirley's letter to the editor
Published today! Way to go Shirley!
Loreeda does rain dances? Go to it, girl! Texas needs rain!!LOL
Actually, we do need rain, but we did get a sprinkling and it is only 80 right now.
Wow, Paula! I had not seen the letter in the Free Lance-Star. I didn't think they were going to publish it.
Thanks.
Maybe they got intersted because of the eagle release story.
Fantastic Shirley! Great letter!
Judie...glad you figured out the avatar thingy! Just plunge in there and figure it out...trial and error! LOL
Hi Paula! Mother's house for sale yet?
Ph, I am yawning and it is only 930here. Dentist appt. in the morning. Guess I should really go to bed early.
Our Momsters 'ROCK'!:)
Lolly - tell her she has to share, LOL.
Do not know what the PH is in my last paragraph! LOL Really do need to hit the sack!
So glad Judie and Shirley have joined us and are keeping the ball rolling on the DC eagle situation.
Lowreeda...dear, you can stop dancing now;)
Do not think she wants to share. For some reason she is insecure and can not accept the fact that Zach has a Grandmommy and a Grandaddy, too. Crazy, huh?
NO, NO, NO, Wanda!!!!! Let her dance for Texas!
Oh, excuse me, Lolly...Lowreeda, keep on dancing, but specify to the rain Gods that you are wishing for rain in TEXAS!
Shirley - you almost missed a great article because you have been working photos since Saturday.
Did you figure out the youTube yet for your squirrely video?
Lolly, if I were in your place, I would spend 1 week a month in Michael and Ashley's house and spoil the bejeebers out of Zach;)
Hear ya, Wanda~~~I'll dance for TX!!
Lolly, I should think it would be a joy to fix dinner in that magnificent house! If you don't mind cooking!
Wow, Paula, that is a big house. I hope you have some good workers lined up! GOOD LUCK!
Day off tomorrow, so you know what that means------Dr. appt!!Gotta shampoo hair.
For all those hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams :>)
Paula, might you be better off selling the house as a fixer-upper?
Oh, and replace the shutters. The list keeps growing!
This has been a looong day for some reason. I'm hitting the hay.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Welcome home, Deb...glad you have tomorrow off to rest up:)
I am hoping for one DAY a month! Do you know that Laurel asked repeatedly to keep
Zach for the move and they (or Ashley) ignored her completely.
Yes, Wanda, we thought about it. We are just doing things that should have been done. It's more elbow grease than money.

Good night all! Jack has fallen asleep in his chair with his headphones on and I am yawning. Hopefully to hit the bed soon.
Sweet dreams!
Continued prayers for Ed and Dana and our Hedgie and her daughter.
God bless!
That should be pdf at the end of the address. Maybe that is the problem. Let me try again.
Shirely - maybe a tracking device, it's a small backpack w/ antenna in the middle of the eagles back.
I got the link thru your post Shirley...looks like that was Ed Clark helping to release
the eagles.
Good evening everyone. I am in Bedford. Had a wonderful weekend with about 150 of my closest friends!

I hope I don't dream about the

Jo, I hope my laughter didn't sound too wicked!
Yes, Paula, I am sure it was Ed Clark--bare hands and all. Maybe he just wants to touch the eagles, and that is why he does not wear gloves. The article was in a packet of materials they gave me Saturday.

I tried to send some of the eagle release pictues to the Free Lance-
Star, but for some reason they did not go through.
Getting late. Need to call it a night.
There was already a comment on my letter in the Fredericksburg paper--somebody said that the eagles would just move somewhere else.
Just so you know . . . I do try to put something out that the squirrels can get to!
Good Night Shirley - You have outdone yourself this week-end!
You and Judie - had the marvelous opportunity to witness something so very special, and share it with the rest of us.
Thank You, Both!
Great letter too, and thanks to Paula, for posting the link, and to Mema Jo for posting the article link. You Gals Rock !

I see osprey this morning but no eagles :(

good morning everyone, have a good Monday

we have had some storms pass by, have a nice cool soaking rain now:)

Good morning. Hunter is here for the day, but I think he's going to sleep for awhile.

That couldn't be a tick, could it?
Do eagles get ticks?
I was wondering, but surely they would not leave a tick on it.
Maybe it is like the eagle equivalent of a mole or wart or something???? It certainly is strange looking.
By the way, good morning Shirley!!
Good morning, Sissy.
I noticed that it is visible in a couple of the pictues. When I looked back over the pictues, you can see that the handler is wearing his glasses in some and not in others. Did anyone send Steve an email about the cam?
I think Steve can do the still cam, but outdoor TV needs to fix the live cam, I think? Don't quote me:)
Good morning Wanda!!
people never cease to amaze me???

OMG Mits!!!!! Now that absolutely takes the cake!!
those people need to get a life.
Just sent an email to Chris at Outdoor TV.
I never heard of such a thing and can't imagine who would want to watch canaries fight.
Violence seems to be a way of life for a lot of people. I think you have to be a little bit "sick" to enjoy something like that. I'll bet Judie will agree.
Maybe a lot sick.
Sissy, is Sharon on vacation? Is she working while she is at Thelma's? Mattie is sooo excited about having her bedroom re-nestorated:) Is that at your house?
She is just visiting Thelma this week, working down there.
You might enjoy this one, especially after reading about animal violence.
Deer Bathes Cat
Wanda, don't think outdoortv can do anything about cam....it is an onsite problem from the storm.
Tried to email Jim Moran...another Eleanor Holmes Norton thing---only constituents from his district can send. So Judie will have to be the point person on him!!!
I am in the procews of writing to Dr. Clark, tho'---sure that he'll be interested.
Hey, Sissy. good to see you back with us!
that was cute, Shirley:)
Loretta, to answer your question last night....the road is still scheduled to be built in that location....the 660' buffer and fence is between the nest and the planned road.
Thanks Lynn, always lurking!
What a great video, Shirley! That cat was sure enjoying every lick!!!
Shirley, not sure what is on that birds' head, but know that WCV would not have left it there if it was anything harmful.
Good morning, everyone. I think the pink thing on the Eagle's head is the man's thumb.
Hmm Deb, ya think so? Never thought about that. But it does look more like an index finger or something now that I look at it!
You are right, Sissy, index instead of thumb!
I thought they were speaking of the little pinkish thingy closer to the eagle's eyes, right in the middle of it's forehead...looks like a wart or mole, as Sissy said.
The other pink growth is, indeed, the handlers finger:)
Agree, Wanda.
Yes--I saw the handler's finger. That was not what I was talking about. Maybe it is a wart or mole. Just looks strange.
Good for you, Shirley...you are truly a MOMSTER now! Not only do we know how to pray, we know how to bargain, too;)
The explanation for the extra $200 on top of the $1,000 was that they were charging me for shoe molding. There is already shoe molding in the room. Never had said I wanted any.
Guess you are right--one finger is slid under the feathers. Glad I was not the only one confused, but sorry to have created a fuss over nothing!
Norma, I thought maybe he was cussing at me--you can see his mouth moving there at the end.
I was right there with ya, Shirley. Would have never thought of it being a finger if Deb hadn't mentioned it! Too funny!
cont.---& MORNIN' DEB!---I have another note!!----GRAND-KIDS are coming to visit this week---& I am supposed to be cleaning!---but--I just had to catch up with you folks!--(I think I'll call LOLLY--she loves to clean) KIDDING!--LIFE IS GOOD!!----SUN is shining--SKIES & 'BABY are BLUE---DEER are playing--(eating my shrubs)--ho!---BIRDS are singing---Let us all DANCE in the moist GREEN GRASS!---KISS a CHILD & HUG a TREE!!---

SISSY!--SISSY!---You must check NATURENUT'S DOG!!!----She has the perfect DOG for you!!!
I finally unpacked, didn't feel like it yesterday. Now to do the laundry.
I am glad to be back, Norma.
They will never learn---VICK just got out of jail!
Oh wow Loretta, a panda dog!! How gorgeous!! (wish I was a panda) What kind of dog is that?
Thanks Norma. You are right, perfect dog for me!
From the talks I have been hearing, I wouldn't be surprised to see VICK playing ball this Fall:(
DANA & ED----keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers---Wonderful DANA that ED still has a great sense of humor!---good medicine--
Norma, did you get you laundry done? I ran out of detergent, and now I am running behind again:( Have to force myself to go to the store...I hate to shop...even hate to shop for clothes, etc. Everything is tooo expensive...$50.00 for a blouse...not worth it!
5.00 to $9.00 a pound for fish? Forget it.
Got your e-mail, Lynn.
MORNIN' WANDA---HEY!--I keep up with my laundry----LOVE MY KENMORE!!----didn't you read that I am taking in laundry----ho!
Cam operator at Atlanta can't find Luney!! He is hiding!
Norma, do you iron or do you buy only "no iron" clothes, like I do?
Luney has been watching our Hidey too much;)
Delta eaglet still at nest. Some wing-flapping. There really isn't a lot of room for it to exercise in that space.
WHOA!---SISSY---That is so funny--Even though we can't watch her as often---I will keep the image of LUNNY & TAI in my mind for ever!!---LITTLE IMPS!
Good Morning All! Once again I sign on and get so involved in reading comments that I guess I am a lurker for the first 15 min or so! lol
Shirley, Your article has another reply. It is mainly to the 1st comment made
Norma enjoy your week with the kids!
Margy - I really did see that ISS - Whoo Hoo for me!
Good morning, everyone. Late start today.
Later,
Judie
LOLLY---weather person says DALLAS will get rain today--at least it's in your state!---maybe you will get a bit of rain too!!---PRAY!
Oh, about the thing on the eagle's head. Index finger and the other is just a downy type feather. I was up close for all three and did not see anything unusual.
Judie
lots of lift off at Finney's nest today:)
I just took a quiz on Facebook about where I should live in WV and the result was . . .
SHEPHERDSTOWN!! Can you believe that??
Howdy Eagle Pals...I am like Jo, I like to catch up on all the comments first...
Cam or no cam, we are a busy little bunch !
Yes, Finney's is awesome, Suzanne has gotten some great pictures this morning!
I can believe it Sharon ! ☺
there you go, Sharon, it is settled:)
No "Sunday" this week...
Lots of folks would like no "Monday" either but not so much here on the Blog with our comments, huh ?
xoxo

Sharon Please giv Mattie, Thelma, and Buddy some big Eagle-Loving Hugs for us ! ☺ ♥
Norma
Yay for you! Grandchildren on the way this week for you !
Hope they create lots of laundry for you ! xoxox ☺
Sigh, only three pictures on our new Momsters Album for July....I put one of the Blue Screen on there just for giggles.... ☺
Mits
about your comment ref cooking and going out: Which one was it that you have been trying to have Jubby to at the Condo ?? Nice he stayed an extra night, hope his return to the work place went okay....
I will certainly do that Margy. I also have Mopsy and Buphals with me. Sissy and Becky are watching Hairy and Scoob for me. I am going back home on Thursday.
I see Pix Pa is up again, see a little cardinal flying around, and there is a beeping tone on there...
sounds like Morse Code !
And now a blue jay and more birds.
Okay Sharon..and how is that Justin doing these days?
Justin is doing better. I will make sure to tell him you asked about him!
sorry, Margy, meant have been trying to get him to come down and do longer weekends at the beach, usually comes in Sat a.m. and leaves Sunday afternoon, but the man is busy, what can I say.
It runs in the family Mits!
Being busy that is....
Hope it becomes a custom though, him staying a little longer on the week-ends with you!
Sharon:
Thanks, yes please do. I think of him often. Handsome little chap!
I would love to stay and play...but I got a pile of things to get ready for mailing.
Jo! Glad you saw ISS...it's a dream, isn't it ?
Best wishes for a great day, and Deb hope you get some peaceful rest today. So glad to see you...♥
TTFN xoxo ☺ ♥
Wanda, new Target has steaks on sale!
Thanks for continued support and prayers for my girl. She is still in a state of shock. And I still have a lump in my chest and stomach that just won't quit.
Sissy, the "panda dog" is a composite pic!!! Think someone sent it to you in an email, too!
Vick has been out of jail for a couple of months; was released from halfway house, and then from home confinement last week. Don't know if he is still working construction job that he was doing as part of his post-release requirement. Had meeting w/ commissioner...any team would be totally stupid to hire him. Fans should revolt if they do.
yes he was released May 20th, Lynn
Tai Shan just got a frosty treat:)
Mei just got hers too.:)
Now I am returning from the emails!
I love hearing from all of you.
When have you scheduled your moving date, Sharon? Wouldn't that be fantastic!
Mits - has the rain stopped?
Okay, Judie...guess I should have checked to see what 8th district included! Any thing you can do without causing you or Frank troubleis most appreciated!
Eaglet in the ME nest..
HEDGIE!---I hope you don't have your 'squeezy stomach' too long!--
praying often--take care--love ya--
I bet VICK will try his darndest to play ball again--Read that he had worked out every day during his stay---but that is not the same as practicing with team, etc--
HEDGIE---I feel sure SISSY knew that wasn't a real dog??----I reminded her this am to check it out!!!
First in a long time that I have seen the large turkeys in the PA woods.
Going to check NZ cams.
Most of the eagle cams have closed down.
Osprey in Finland - Waiting for 1st flights to happen.
WHOA!---SHARON---Just think---if you moved to SHEPHERDSTOWN---Then your SON could go to SHEPHERDSTOWN UNIVERSITY!!----GOOD THINKING!!! ho!---and we could all come down in October & stay with you!! ho!
LUNCH for me
BBL today
Out the door for me.
☺
Enjoy the day...
Checking Lake WA nest - 2nd eaglet just flew in and laid down beside the 1st one! I guess they are talking over their flight adventures!
Burrowing owls are out and about!
Barn owls still in their nest box. They really should fledge soon.
The Delta eaglet really doesn't have any branches on which to practice.
I guess he will just take off!
Now I'll BBL
** GooD MorninG **

I put up a few pictures from this weekend. I will add more family pictures when my sister sends them out. She was 5 hours late getting home, finally got into LAX at 1 AM, but her car and luggage are at the Ontario Airport. They will go and get it later today.
Thanks Deb for the pictures. Corey had to be a great person. He liked eagles. How did everything go?Loved the chipmunks. When we were in Colorado I loved to feed them. So cute.
Afternoon everyone. On my way back out BBL
Great pics Deb! My heart really goes out to you and your family! So very very sorry!
BerkeleyCo.Osprey
Check out the Maine II site. Branching eaglets, plus an adult there now.

Raptor plates:
Colorado plates
I can't get the link to open at the right plate or at the top, grrrr. The Raptor plate is down further on the page.
Deb, I'm afraid I missed the news concerning Corey.
I'm sorry to read there has been a tragedy in your family though.
C(°?°)3
Jim
great pics, Deb.
I have not left yet. Margy is going to going to get after me.
Lynn nice pics.
Deb glad things went well. Losing a child no matter how old is devasting. You go on but you never get over it.
split coming soon
The stairs went to the top of the falls. My sister's flight was mechanical problems and by the time they fixed that the crew was out of flying time. She took a flight into LAX just to get home.
It wasn't the pump. Corey went to the races on Sunday and and the temp was in the 100's. From what everyone has figured out, he ignored the signs that he his blood sugar was way out of whack, in the 700's and then gradually his body shut down and he went into a coma.
WOW! Headed for the 400 SPLIT soon
Keep your eyes open for a new thread from Steve. I hope they are busy fixing our cam and forgot about the
blog!
BBL
I keep pulling a Margy and returning.
Great pic on the BWO site.......
Might BBL
I am off to run some errands. 24 Osprey arrive tomorrow, I am getting excited.
